861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you hide your identity with bitcoin? (100%) on: August 05, 2020, 04:57:32 PM
Your friend is absolutely right, we can't hide our identity with Bitcoin. Because decentralization owned by Bitcoin has transparency,
which means that all Bitcoin transactions that we do can be seen publicly. Even though we use software or VPN, there are always gaps.
The conclusion is that in the internet world nothing is 100% anonymous.

Evwn though they can see the transactions in the blockchain, they will never know your true identity. Thry will never know anything about you, your address, your name or even email address. They do not know that is your bitcoin address unless it is someone you know or have a transaction with personally. That is why bitcoin is pseudo-anonymous.
862  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [experience]; In one family all professional gamblers. on: August 02, 2020, 11:50:36 PM
My family usually do tongits after lunch or sometimes before a siesta but we children are not allowed to join. Just my grandma, grandpa and all of their children circling on the table and betting a peso. It is fun but when my grandparents died, that tradition is also stopped. We are not professionals but it is kind of a tradition.
863  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should there be any age limit of Gambling? on: August 02, 2020, 10:45:54 PM
I found many children under 18 who were very good at betting on sports gambling and Lotteries at my place. So even though there is an age limit then if its online gambling it will be difficult to prevent. KYC will not be accepted by many gambler because it is related to the privacy security of player, we can move to other site if we do not want to deal with KYC document.

In addition, the presence of KYC on the online casino site does not guarantee that a minor will not be able to register there. Children are very resourceful. They can register using their parents ' documents. You can also buy photos of other people's IDS on the Internet.
Well, you have a point there. Do you think what is the best way to do in such online gambling company to avoid those children will possible to register in casino. Is the gambling casino responsibility or the parent of the children's responsibility. The KYC did not have any guarantee to filter these teenagers not to go to in gambling but as parenthood, you can do this and perhaps parent has been right to guide their children in a right way or in educational purpose only.

I think that this is an impossible task for an online casino. Unless they enter that before entering the game session, you must show your face on the video camera and answer a few questions about your account data. However, this procedure will put off regular players and will be very costly for the casino.
Parents should first of all be responsible for what their children do.

So impossible. It id like telling the casino to stop functioning and people will still find ways to gamble, it is ustoppable. That is why I don't think we should be thinking about this instead maybe lets talk or teach the parents how to handle their internet activites ao they can take care of their children.

There are a lot of ways for them to monitor their children's internet activity. They should really utilize those if they wanted to take care of their children. Also, they can just increase their children's literacy when it comes to finance.
864  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: August 02, 2020, 09:36:49 PM
From what I heard in mainstream media in our end, vaccines are now on its "third" stage of development, whatever that means. And our government are saying that they will plan to have a vaccine be distributed to the poor by December of this year and then to the middle class. I am not really into the technicalities of the people behind working a vaccine but what I see is that there might still be a small glimmer of hope that by next year cities will be slowly be prepared and its citizens vaccinated. This is a long battle still. It's up to the gamblers to decide if they want to gamble at the risk of getting the virus.

We can talk about vaccines for a long time. We are promised that they are about to appear. If this is the case, it may be worth waiting until each of us can get vaccinated and then visit the casino. Visiting Las Vegas is not the first necessity and I would not go there now.

But there are a lot of people thinking differently than you. It is not just casinos but also bars and I think we can't really stop them so we should be used to it by now. Vaccine might be the main solution for this pabdemic but let's be honest, we can still take care of ourselves without it.

There is no solution to the pandemic other than the vaccine. No matter how much careful you're in meeting people , wearing gloves and mask, you can still get this covid-19 if you move around outside in public.
There are only two solutions to this, either stay at home or wait for the time until vaccine is developed.

But then again, how did other countries free theirselves from the virus without vaccine? This is how great their leader is and how great the people are following orders from them. It is for the sake of their country amd theirselves. Thay is why they can watch soccer tournaments there now like nothing happened.
865  Other / Off-topic / Re: Trump is preparing to ban TikTok on: August 02, 2020, 08:56:37 PM
Apps should not be banned they should put just a note "hey if you use this app you risk being monitored by the gov of China,Usa etc"

Well, there are warnings like that when you install it but as @Upgrade00 says it, they don't care since they doesn't know how valuable that information. They doesn't care that there are people are even dance in front of their cameras nude. Even though it is reported that TikTok is being used by China to snoop some information, it didn't stop.

Nothing is private this days ... privacy is dead  ...

Well, some users of bitcoin and other information regarding them is still private.
866  Economy / Economics / Re: Philippines will drop as a Country, Economy on its worst! on: August 02, 2020, 08:22:53 PM
Let's just pray to our modern day heroes (especially health workers). They're really tired now in treating new COVID-19 cases in the country. Keep safe kabayan!

Then Sen. Cynthia Villar wants our modern heroes to work their ass out without resting and still saying they need to do their job well like she's doing any good in this pandemic. It is really annoying when she talks like this like what she said about our nurses especially our farmers.

Article here.
867  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the chances of bitcoin taking another dive? on: August 02, 2020, 02:27:57 PM
I can say that the price will not fall that much. Though there is a chance that it will fall but that fall.will not be that big to be called a dive. Obviously there will be some that would sell and while the price fell slowly, some will reinvest and might stick to prices between $8000 to $10K

Now this is our own responsibility to take care of ourself against this pandemic situation. Everything is now getting unlocked as government cannot continue to keep it locked till months due to the economic pressure and the employment. Thus, now everyone must maintain them self with some distance and move out only for the immediate works or some businesses related. Res of the things if can be avoided better it would be for ourself.

This really depends on the people now. These bars and casinos are opened not for them to openly go to it without taking care but for the country to recover its declining economy. Discipline not just in gambling is needed here though we can't really stop them gambling in these places since usually it is the part of their lives.

How do you guys assess OG these days? Do you think they can claim the championship after the return of Ceb?
While their performance in the online tournaments aren't consistent they still have a good chance since the next TI is a year away and now is a good time for them to rebuild while ana is on a break.
I don't think so, there will be another surprise that will happen with OG because I see ANA will always be present when it's at the end of the tournament, so I think ANA will give full support at the Final Session because as I know ANA has started to warm up or play and can be used as an exercise in preparation for the final tournament.

They really need Ana so badly. Still no one can replaced ANA as pos.1 even Sumail and worst MidOne. Mid One pos.1 is very unstable and he was always left behind by opponent pos.1, He surely not fitted anymore for Pos. 1. Saksa is doing great as replacement to jerAx as pos.4 although JerAx is the best. Saksa gameplay is very consistent and very stylish. I hope Ana will really back on TI or else we can see an early exit for OG on TI.
of course ANA is a very important point for OG victory, so when ANA is not in the competition at the start then I will doubt OG can win but when ANA is present then I am sure he can make the OG team win again and surely ANA will really really feared by many teams, because without ANA, OG will not feel alive.
Everyone is now talking about ANA after CEB's comeback. OG is not in their full strength without ANA,  their carry which is MidOne is not strong as ANA and it is the reason why they keep losing in many tournaments. They recently let go Sumail because of his poor performance and his bad attitude. The number 1 team in the world today is the Secret. Their carry is so good which is Matumbaman but he is no much to OG if ANA is playing.

Ceb already talked about this but he never really stated an obvious answer. They let go Sumail because of this.

https://afkgaming.com/articles/dota2/News/4620-ceb-hints-at-why-sumail-was-removed-from-og

Sumail is a better player and I guess without this pandemic, they will be trampling the offline tournaments with Ana just standing and watching at their sides.
870  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin good for the economy? on: August 01, 2020, 09:37:02 PM
Bitcoins have three useful qualities in a currency, according to The Economist in January 2015: they are "hard to earn, limited in supply and easy to verify". Economists define money as a store of value, a medium of exchange and a unit of account, and agree that bitcoin has some way to go to meet all these criteria.
A lot of people who doesn't know more about bitcoin will gonna say bitcoin will not help to improve the economy or it will make it worst because it is full of scam and fraud, but i think bitcoin is good for the economy because a lot of people would be given a chance to have a better income than their regular jobs that they could be a millionaire someday, if they continue to used and invest bitcoin in their daily lives.

You are saying that bitcoin is like a money-making investment and if that is the case I should be quitting my job now, but I won't. It is true that it can give profit, sometimes a huge profit but it is unreliable with a lot of unexpected movements happening. Most of the time peoole are just holding it and not actually using it.

I guess it is good for a personal economy but in a whole scale? I don't think it makes that difference since here in our country, there are only a few percent of the population using bitcoin.
871  Economy / Economics / Re: Philippines will drop as a Country, Economy on its worst! on: August 01, 2020, 02:37:08 PM
here's a list:

people cant get out.
there is no ABS CBN anymore.
and we can't watch FPJ ang probinsyano anymore. i hate Philippines i wanna go to bohol.  Grin

People can't get out. I don't know where you live but even though there are a lot of cases, people can still get out because the government are already allowing some establishments to continue. Another thing is there is still a Kapamilya channel and I can still watch FPJ and and Showtime (not for long though) . This just shows how you are just taken by those people saying its gone but it isnt.

Lastly, it will affect the economy since thousands are affected by the closure of this network still, it is not that bad. If you will ask me why it is worst then it is because of the high cases we have.
872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter Hacker Arrested! on: August 01, 2020, 01:52:12 PM
Damn dude.

This kid is going to get one hefty sentence.
I will not be surprised if he is going to be working under serious guide to unlock some other applications. The guy brain is too hot to be wasted just like that.

I feel pity on him if he will only end his life in jail. I hope they can work around here and just hire him for other vital projects. He's too young to just spend his entire life in prison. He can still change and do something different for his life. Let's see what will be the verdict on him and his accessories.

I don't think that will be the case. They will obviously punish this kid since that is a lot of cases against him. Also, he should even think what they've done would really throw them in jail. I am not a genius but I know better than that.
873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: August 01, 2020, 12:01:31 AM
The thing about Lakers is that, they have a deeeeep roster, they could play a 10 man roster and be fine with it, normally on playoffs teams drop to 8, and in Lakers if you see the team play with 12 players that game, you know it could be possible. Lebron, AD, mcgee, kcp, danny green, kuzma, caruso, dion waiters, dwight, j.r., morris and normally they have rondo and a very bradley as well, I don't know where they are, maybe they declined to play in the bubble?

I don't know really but that is 13 players, and I can see all 13 play in the finals game, that well, Lebron played with worse teams on his starting lineup in the finals so I wouldn't really be shocked. As long as they can stay healthy, I do not see any team that can beat them, but if any good player gets injured, it could ruin their chances.
They got a bump for their roster even before covid. It is very clear that they want to get the ring for this time.
While Lebron, he really wants to get the championship ans he's a candidate for MVP.

Well that is the same with other players like Giannis and Kawhi but some says that Giannis would probably be taking that out of Lebron. Every team wants their ring, that is obvious for a team but we can say that they really wanted it as this team is really bulk. It is funny how they can really play two games at the same time with their roster.

<...> The important thing is, popular teams are already playing it and it's mainstream in different platforms.
Yeah, the top esports team know that there's potential in Valorant, it's just a matter of time now cuz you don't wanna end up like Apex Legends (showed some promise for a while but ended up being forgotten  Cheesy ) some major tournaments are starting to pop up (liquipedia has a few in A-tier here), so it's possible that in Q4 this year or Q1 next year we'll see the first S-tier tournament
Well, Apex Legends is kinda different from Valorant, it's a battle royale and all FPS players are still interested in the CS:GO type of match even it got launched and mainstreamed. I used to play Apex legends for 3 seasons, and obviously battle royale aren't suitable in betting platforms because it's hard to know who's gonna win if the drops on a certain area are RNG. Definitely, a good team will still lose if they have a fight with a gold armor team while wearing white armor. Anyways, many people are already thinking that Valorant is almost the same with CS:GO, I doubt it will have the same future with Apex Legends and besides, they have different game developers and I know that Riot Games will spend millions of money to make the game last longer as they did on the league.

Another thing is that Valorant is still a new game and one of the best way to keep your game for a long time is having a bind with the community. As CSGO have ways to tell what they want like making maps, Valorant don't have that. Well, Valorant in their first release have their bonds too but some players are worrying how the maps are so claustrophobic and not that well-made.

As I said, it is still a new game so obviously there will be a lot of development that will happen through time. Still, I don't see CSGO going down because of Valorant.

I am also frustrated on how they talk to people and their decisions being made but that doesn't mean they are letting our country rot. The economy is not that bad, we have a pandemic, it is natural that we will be affected by that but we can relate this to our debt.It is said that we have a good credit when it comes to borrowing money and that is because of the debt to gdp ratio. They let us borrow money because they know we can pay it.

That just means that they know that we can recover from this and we will not be feeling that debt in no time.
877  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we rely on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency? on: July 31, 2020, 02:50:11 PM
People have given up their day jobs and has moved full-time into cryptocurrency related earnings and career. These are people with high investment as well as after learning about the market. A common man too can make something out of cryptocurrency, but in between should not look for big profits ending into a big loss. Most of them relying on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies keep on practicing trading which is the base where the money flow of....

The volume of cryptocurrency is rising and this is because more investors are buying in. The covid-19 hard time has made people out of jib and they have hugely moved into crypto and online investment. We are going to see more volume increase with time during the end of this year.

I don't understand how will these people rely on bitcoin and other crypto currencies since we all know that mostof them are volatile. They will not be able to get income that they could use to suatain their safety and get their essentials during this pandemic. They might be able to get a profit but that is not enough.
878  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taxes on Bitcoins: Unreasonable or essential? on: July 31, 2020, 01:38:14 PM
I don't know. Here in our country they are not actually taxing crypto currencies. This pandemic made some changes to taxes and they are even including some streaming platforms like Nerflix now. I don't think they will be doing the same with cryptos or bitcoin all I know is that there is a possibility it will happen and I also think it is unreasonable yet it is needed by the country.
879  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Education on: July 31, 2020, 12:52:16 PM
Already some universities around the globe have come up with courses for blockchain technology. Even third world countries have got institutions conducting blockchain based courses. In Philippines it has turned to be a big business, as more and more vocational institutions promote courses in the name of blockchain technology. There is high demand for blockchain developers this can be understood just by searching blockchain developer vacancy on any of the job search engine.

I am also from the Philippines but I have no idea that some schools are actually teaching this course. I hope you could share some sites or actual pages of schools posting in their pages that I can read. Some of the friends I know are quite interested in this technology and they mainly based on books and ebooks they can find.
880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should there be any age limit of Gambling? on: July 31, 2020, 12:14:32 AM
The question here should be how their parents are making their children ready financially or making their children financial literate. If that is the case we don't need to limit the age and I agree that there are some children that can still gamble in tender age anyways even though a gambling site doesn't allow them to do so.
