1404  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] DataTank Mining: 1.2MW 3M Novec Immersion Cooled 2PH Mining Container on: June 23, 2014, 05:34:21 AM
As I can read, Your container without chips on boards and power supplies costs for You 0.28 $/GH (or 0.168 $/W with Your assumption of 2 PH per 1.2 MW container).

It's $0.46/W.

Quote
1 share of DTMB is going to IPO with a price of $7.25 per 10w (0.0115 btc per share, page 9 in Prospectus) or $0,725 $/W (4.3x more than costs).

They are asking $6.80 per share not $7.25.. And it's 7% markup not 400%.

Quote
Better thing with DTMA: You claimed "<$820/T (<$0.82/G) total cluster with deployed DataTank system on-site" of costs or 0.49 $/W. At the same time You are going to sell 1 DTMA share per 0.0280 btc or 1,76 $/W (3.6x more than costs)

It costs them $1.36/W and they are asking $1.65/W.

Quote
You try to earn 3.6-4.3 times on IPO, without even previously done Your own container with Your own money. In such a case profit margin from IPO cannot be more than 50-100% depending on business model.

They are not asking for nearly that much and they have successfully built immersion datacenters before.

Quote
MOREOVER You are trying to sell 1 GH of mining power in low cost of electricity location in the end of 2014 with price of 1,725 $/GH (DTMA case, mining boards and power supplies without container) when I can now buy Antminer A2 or rockminer hashing now for that price.

They are not selling individual GH nor for that price. Each share represents about 17GH and costs about $17. Also there is no such thing as an antminer A2 and there is also no miner for less than $1/gh (or not that I am aware of). Also I am 99% sure you do not pay $0.025/kwh so there's that.

They have already said compensation will go out after shipping.

What do you think they are planning to do? Arbitrarily wait a month before giving it to us?
1406  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: June 22, 2014, 10:11:08 PM
So for the compensation we need a definitive answer.

Are you shipping 2 TH/s for each X-3 order when the shipping date supposedly starts about one week from now? Is this the final answer here?

If you can't or are not willing to definitively confirm then we're going to have to start pursuing refunds.

Every single week you guys want a definitive answer on compensation. Don't you understand that it's pointless for them to keep adjusting compensation before they begin shipping?

If you aren't happy with them then please just get a refund already because the constant bitching is annoying.

A quick update for anyone having problems with a BTC refund from minersource or another merchant who uses Bitpay. Here is the response I received from Bitpay,
"I have noted a complaint from you against the merchant. If a sufficient amount of complains accumulate, then we will take action on the merchant's account."
You can call Bitpay at (855) 424-8729 to leave a message if you would like to file a complaint. Make sure to leave your email address and they will contact you by email.
why are you being a fucking child who won't stop throwing a tantrum? Seriously do you want Minersource to not be able to accept bitcoins because you're a child?

Minersource has never scammed anyone.

I have not received the refund yet nor have I received a delivery and yet they are shipping.  Does this mean I am no longer entitled to my refund?  Do statements about refunds made 6 months ago still apply?! Can you give me your analysis of this situation or would you prefer to wait until I do or don't get a refund to offer up your special brand of creeping determinism?  Please don't leaving me hanging until AFTER something happens...

That is definitely bullshit on kncs part.

I also agree that they had no chance of delivering in q1 so it was bullshit to suggest it was possible.

But you have to accept the fact that you agreed to a shitty contract with an absurd delivery window.

1414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: June 21, 2014, 02:18:02 AM
They said MARCH! Then they said Q1/Q2 - in this way, people were certain to order @ $12,995 USD.
"We will ship no devices in December 2013, January 2014 or  February 2014. Meaning that once we have taken the difficulty up at the end of November we will not release any more hashing power for 3 months. We will then release our new generation of devices, which will begin shipping in March 2014. These devices will also have a much higher GH/$ rating than any of our current offerings."

If they had actually said "June", they wouldn't have sold ANY!

So a statement made 1 year ago before the announcement of neptunes somehow means a definite shipping date?

Q1/Q2 means shipping some time before july. Most people understood this but if you were naive enough to think you would be getting a neptune in march hopefully you learned your lesson with preorders.

Next time don't preorder from a company that provides a 6 month shipping window. In fact you should never preorder hardware that doesn't exist.
1415  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: June 20, 2014, 09:01:51 PM
I propose next round of shareholders questions to be scheduled on 1st of July 2014, and I feel it will be mainly about dividends this time, since we've got answers for almost everything last time. This will also be exactly 1 month since last round of shareholders questions.

I'd also like to know more about the plans for franchising and solomining.
1416  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ROCKMINER ASIC miner official thread on: June 20, 2014, 07:37:19 AM
Misinformation at it's best. I count:

- 1x rPi power cable;
- 5x USB cables;
- 1x LAN cable;
- 4x power cables;
- 1x PSU cable

That makes it 12 cables. Only double than your stated 6 cables. Ok.

I did miscount (forgot psu/pi cables)

But some of those cables you just can't do without like the 4 pcie cables(could probably do with 2), psu cable, rPi power cable, and at least one cable from the controller to the miner. So there are really only 5 extra cables vs a single board miner.

Regardless you are the only one who cares about the extra cables.

Wow 5 whole minutes?

Did you also notice that the 450GH machine is running at 500GH at about 1w/gh?

Yes whole 5 minutes because there are 100 cables. Good luck stacking them!

There are actually only 6 cables.

As for stacking I may have the perfect solution for you:

Who CARES what is fucking normal?

Because normal group buys had a real purpose which to cut down on costs. This is not the sales section is it?

Quote
Of course because there are some cost savings. Shipping a pallet or two is much cheaper than 100 individual boxes. You shouldn't get an outrageous discount like 50% off for bulk buys since this is a preorder and it's not like they are trying to get rid of stock.

Good thing. So what so everyone is trying to DUMP stock. Who gives a flying fuck how they discount their product really? Look at what CarnaryInTheMine and ASICminer were doing with the USBs miners last year? I didn't see you all over those threads? Not fucking once were you complaining then or since about that fucking collusion. Shit even a little competition from my first group the Big Picture and the K1's thread lowered their costs immediately. Please if you want to look at conspiracy why not go back over the millions that were gouged out then?

Did asicminer sell any promises and then lower the price on those promises before delivering?

Quote
What's the point? It's just an unnecessary/inconvenient extra step in the ordering process.
Have you ever thought that it might be an easier step for the SPTech to secure a larger number of orders together organized for free by a community member. So that they extend their sales team out and build more good will? It is necessary. Again no one gives a shit about Canary and his close ties? Right? Seriously please.
Have you ever thought that that might be bullshit? There is obviously someone at spondoolies-tech who has to check every single order and payment. Exactly the same as if you would have ordered from the website.

What is the difference between checking their websites order book and checking this guys order book? It is not like this guy is sending them a single shipping address with a lump sum of money.

I happen to think it is a rip off to pay $600 extra because you already ordered from the website. Please let me know of anything in the open source AM thread that is even remotely unfair.

Agreed. Let us spread the GB word everywhere why are you trying discredit it? Again where were you when Asicminer was basically doing exact same thing last year?

Again did asicminer sell promises and then lower the price on those promises before delivering? I understand that the usbs were overpriced but that is the case for every usb miner in history. They are a novelty or an introduction to mining which is fine.

Quote
I only advocate buying in stock hardware. Preordering is gambling and to suggest otherwise is dishonest.

Agreed but you have said that in every one of SPTech's threads but it is ok for Technobit to do this and you praise him? Fuck me that is the height of hypocrisy. We get it no pre-orders but even you admit I got a GOOD pre-order value for the last GB? Right? I mean who would rather order from at this point? SPTech or Technobit? Me easy choice.

Does technobit sell preorders? I was not aware.

As for who I would rather order from I would actually say technobit solely because they have in stock hardware (afaik). I have seen working hardware from them but I have yet to see a working sp30. If spondoolies would sell in stock hardware then I would probably go with them but it all depends on the price.

Quote
I think SP knew that the $5100 price for September was way too high but they chose to milk their customers for what they could get.

Shouldn't they try and get that price? Should they not try and promote lower priced GB's?

Ofcourse you should try to get as low of a price as possible. I am just saying EVERYONE in september batch should pay that price (or be refunded the difference). It is not fair to pay $600 extra because you ordered from the website.

Quote
Seriously you pissing in the wind especially when you turn a fucking blind eye to people who are promising things that they will surely never deliver on and have done it before. I will be the first to eat my hat and rail against SpondooliesTech if they so much as screw a single customer. Have they? No.

Spondooliestech has also never sold/delivered hardware that they have not tested other than the SP30. KNC was great at preorders the first time around but look at what happened with neptunes.

If the SP30 really meets expectations then they should have absolutely no problem selling it from stock. But they would rather put the risk on the customers because they know they can get more for an sp30 today then in September.
1420  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] Spondoolies-Tech SP30 - Specs: 6TH/s + 0.46W/GH on: June 20, 2014, 04:57:51 AM
Yes but the question is why? Normally group buys have cost savings associated with them. This doesn't.

Buying more units opposed to buying just a couple always gets you a lower price anywhere you shop. People will still have to pay for shipping probably so the discount will come only from buying more units. AM offers the same deal to customers who buy in bulk.

That is true for in-stock items which can be restocked. Other than saving money on shipping, where are the savings from a bulk preorder?

If they sell 1000 individual machines vs 1000 to one guy via preorder where are the savings?
