Great guide, thx very much, one question, I have already pasted the uber mix on the 1750 and 2000 straps, I have an Asus ROG Strix RX580 O8G with samsung memory, the problem is I can not overclock the memory over 2050 MHz, it hangs my pc, it happens on Claymore, 3DMark and StarCraft 2.
I'm using in AB:
Core Voltage -96mV
CC 1360MHz and 1160MHz (Claymore)
MC 2050MHz
Should I mod the voltages in the bios for it to work fine?, if that's the case I don't get it yet, how must I do it?, for the Memory Voltage seems easy, Core Voltages not so much.

You can try Uber-MIx 3.2, but 2050MHz is good. Not every card can do 2100MHz and more with Uber-mix 3.1. Some of them can't even run 2000MHz. |

Okay daft question, is modding a bios any better than say using afterburner or trixx?
Would it be best to find the best settings using say trixx before modding the bios?
You don't understand the bios thing. You can always set clocks, TDP, voltages,... but the best improvement you can have only with performance timings like Uber-mix, that can be changed only in bios. You can also set voltages, etc in the bios, it's better but not needed. After the mod you need OC the memory to find the highest stable memory clocks. When you find it you can set that in you bios, still not needed. |

First post!  Can anyone please help? My first post too. I've just trying to flash my Asus rx 580 dual 8gb on Samsung memory. None of straps from overclocking theme worked as I wish because of huge amount of errors in HWInfo In stock it was 22 mh on ethereum and 800 on decred. And now it is 27 mh on ethereum and 1100 on decred. I can't overclock memory because ethereum mh decreased at the moment. The question is - if there any working strap for this cards with 28-29 mh? What are your memory clocks? To get more you need to OC memory. |

First post! A complete newbie to mining. Just setup my rig last night which consist of: Windows 10 x64 Claymore 9.4 Asus B250H board Intel G4400 750w 80+ Gold 120gb ssd 4gb ddr4 2x Asus OC Dual RX580 8gb Just that for now as i'm waiting for my risers - then i'll be able to add my 3x other RX580s. Anyway, tried modding my BIOS using the instructions on Post #1, followed everything by the letter then after restarting, fired up Claymore then curiously got 4MH/s each card (instead of the default 25MH/s out-of-the-box). So i'm pretty confused here. My GPU has a Samsung memory. This is the BIOS that I modded using Polaris BIOS editor:  Can anyone please help? Did you reinstall drivers and apply patch? Edited right timing straps? |

I've seen the wallet, but don't remember the address. What I do know is that I've received 50+ free credits using the beta app/wallet. So they are giving away a bunch of credits.

Hi Matt, just one more question came to mine, I also have a 4gb rx480, can the memory on that be pretty much tweaked to 8gb speeds or will a 4gb rx480 card always offer less MH/s mining power than a 8gb card? Even if both cards where identical other than the amount of GBs
If you tweak 4GB and 8GB for ETH the 8GB will be probably better, but if you mod the bios for 4GB it will be much better than 8GB stock. |

Perfect Ty, out of interest, would the memory speed change affect gaming in anyway? Or add extra heat / power draw.
Yes, the bandwith will be higher that means more FPS. Power and heat are about the same if you do not undervolt. |

So to mod my asus rx480 strix bios, follow the link in your signature for further info.
Are all the exact settings for altering the figures on your signature link that are specific to rx480 Asus strix, I wouldnt want to enter the incorrect values.
Could I just change the memory settings in the bios, as I presume that is what is given the card the biggest boost? and leave other settings, as I might change them via afterburner.
Sure you can edit only timings  Yes, timings give the biggest performance improvement. |

I get 315MHASH stable with oc on the gtx 1070. You should be able to get 550MHASH on the 1080ti.
use LBRY sp-mod
-500 on the memory clock 100% tdp or higher. 120%. And then overclock the core as much as possible.
IDK what hashrates are on 10 series, but I've tested LBRY with my laptop's 860m and I get 51MH/s with CCminer 2.0 but with your SP mod only 41MH/s. I've used both newest release maybe it could be better if I've build it with Cuda 8.0? |

What is your power at wall with GTX 1060? I couldn't get reasonable priced PSU and I only have 850W for 6 cards :/

Right now running d=8 with 3 evga gtx 1080...approximately 23-27 coins per day.
I don't think d=8 is good, that's too low. d=32 is the lowest I think for whole rig I would say you need more. I think CCminer recommend for whole rig d=256, default is d=128. You can play with intensity. I've post some info on FB LBRY mining page https://www.facebook.com/groups/1961052344127892/ |
