14101  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info problem on: September 21, 2017, 06:33:53 PM
Blockchain.info is not able to help you at any case expect you own your private key which is a fundamental step when creating an online wallet. The use of Bitcoin is not for dumb people that you should take responsibility for your own money so it will take two to three years to establish a simple developed system for people with few knowledge in order to protect them from their stupidity. Until that time, i don't suggest you to change your wallet or to protect your funds for next times; just forget about all the new technology and get a classic bank account which can protect your money when you are not able.
Are you seriously recommending someone to NOT use Bitcoin because it's too "hard"? Especially a Legendary user who was registered 4 years ago?

Usually, a Blockchain.info user won't care about his private keys simple because not even the website itself provides this information to their users by default, which is one of the reasons why I don't store my Bitcoins there. OP could have created his wallet a few years ago and found out that he still has some coins lost in his old account, which he doesn't have access anymore. If you don't have anything constructive to say, don't even bother replying.
14102  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Android and iOS app of bitcointalk forum needed. on: September 21, 2017, 05:40:58 PM
You can use Bitcointalk.org Forum app like others said or you can use Tapatalk available on iOS as well its useful if you tend to use multiple forums everyday, I prefer to browse BCT on PC though I do a lot of typos while making posts from phone.
1. The BitcoinTalk Forum app doesn't work anymore due to the new login captcha system.
2. Tapatalk is also not available for the BitcoinTalk forum.

There is current no app or other way to browse this forum in your mobile other than to use the normal desktop version.
14103  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is localbitcoins a scam? on: September 21, 2017, 05:24:38 PM
No. Localbitcoins is legit and one of the oldest bitcoin p2p websites I know off.

Here what I think could have happened: You had a malware on your computer, which allowed a hacker to get access over your account and steal your coins by doing a fake trade with himself.

If that's the case, Localbitcoins can't do anything since Bitcoin transactions are irreversible. Which means that your coins are probably gone.
14104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Unable to recover Bitcoin cash on: September 21, 2017, 04:14:50 PM
Have you tried to import this address in Electron Cash? Do you only have a private key or is the address generated from a HD wallet seed? If it's from a seed, which software is it from?
14105  Economy / Services / Re: PrivCoin.io Signature campaign manager bidding on: September 21, 2017, 03:45:51 PM
You could do it like BitMixer in the old times. The whole post count and payments proccess were done by a bot, and the only manual work was done by Lauda. She was only responsible for keeping spammers and shitposters out of the campaign by checking their posts regularly and banning them if they break any rules. If you were doing fine, the bot would pay you normally.

I myself would be interested in this kind of job, since I have plenty time and dedication for this forum. The only issues are: I have never managed any campaign before, - even that I know the whole process behind the job - and I wear your competitor signature (if you think this could be a issue).
14106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: App for mining low coins on: September 21, 2017, 01:28:12 AM
It's definitely not worth. You can even mine the minimum to be able to exchange the coins to BTC and be able to withdraw to your wallet. Like you said, everything is just a waste of time.

Quit the idea.
14107  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: September 21, 2017, 12:55:27 AM
please god someone tell me there is a way to get my session back after I destroyed it. or anything I can do....

I sent over 8 coins, mixed them. Pulled off the import to electrum info imported but completely forgot to broadcast the transaction. I copied over the session token to check my betting provs tomorrow... then deleted the session, is there anything I can do... omg

Is there anyway to see things I've recently copied in windows somewhere besides the most recent?
That doesn't make sense. What do you mean with "forgot to broadcast the transaction"? ChipMixer will provide you with funded private keys. You don't need to broadcast any transaction to get your mixed coins. As soon as you import the private keys in an Electrum wallet, you are good to go.
14108  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium to Ledger Nano S - Transaction fee issue on: September 20, 2017, 12:10:29 AM
You can easily "combine" bitcoins again... it's not like they are permanently split... if you have 10x 0.1 BTC chunks, you can just send yourself 1.0 BTC and all the 10 inputs will be combined back into 1x 1.0 BTC chunk.
Is it possible without a fee?
I never tried this but i was asking before but its still not clear because there is no answer or reply in my thread in electrum section before..
Hope clear up now if sending the bitcoin in the same address or own address i still need to pay for the fee? or i don't need to set the fee?
Is it also possible in mycelium or electrum sorry just asking this just to clarify and i have lots of small input in one of my bitcoin address and i still don't touch it until i found i way to decrease the fee or a way to combine the small inputs..
No. You can't just merge two inputs. You need to send them all at once in the same transaction to arrive at your address as one new input.

Input 1 |
Input 2 | > Output 1
Input 3 |

The main advantage is that you can send this transaction with a super low fee - since the coins are still in your control - to avoid paying higher fees when you want to send a transaction that needs to get confirmed ASAP.
14109  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Physical debit cards on: September 19, 2017, 11:14:19 PM
I don't really know if the first page is updated list but Only xapo that i think more people are still using it..
And look also for bitpay this site was use for online accepting bitcoin as payment but they are also offering visa debit card that you use..
There is also shakepay but i don't know if this is safe because there are someone tell me that he is using this for temporary. .
I imagine that they do. Just like any card.

I had some issues with a refunded purchase, and after contacting the support, they helped me out.

P.s: Shakepay doesn't work outside EU anymore, just like any other Wavecrest card. But I had them and it was the best Bitcoin card I have ever used.
14110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How secure is BIP38? on: September 19, 2017, 06:06:44 PM
You would need to crack the password with brute force, which will always take a lot of time if you choose a strong password. And it's safe enought, so if you are going to store multiple paper wallets in several places, you should definitely encrypt it with a password as an extra security measure.
14111  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Help Needed On Transaction Broadcasting on: September 19, 2017, 05:13:53 PM
Hello, i have an offline armory wallet private key currently impoted into my omniwallet.org account.
The imported wallet shows its balance, when i generate a transaction it returns an encoded long string message and asks me to sign this into offline armory wallet while i have lost access to armory wallet.

Now i know generated transaction does not go on network until i sign this message into its main wallet,is there anyone to help?
Is there a way to put transactions on network or any suggestion without having access to offline armory wallet?

Can signing its output anywhere else help ? how to make this all working?
Help appreciated
No. If that was possible, you could just use a watch-only wallet to create transactions and send them to the network without actually controlling the private keys. And why would you want to do that? AFAIK, the transaction won't be valid to be included in any block if it's not signed by the address.
14112  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum BTC Address Questions on: September 19, 2017, 05:11:11 PM
Hi there.  So from now on, is there a way for me to use bitcoin on electrum where i cannot get tracked?  Or i would have to create a completely new bitcoin wallet in electrum.
Never use an address more than one time. That's the rule number one. If you create a wallet with Electrum and go to the "Addresses" tab, you will see all the addresses from that wallet. Use one for each transaction.

Also want to ask another thing.  But if i get trezor, would that mean electrum is not needed?
You can buy a Trezor if you want to keep your coins as safe as possible. The main advantage while using a hardware wallet like Trezor and Ledger, is that your private keys are stored only inside the device, making it impossible for any malware in your computer to steal your coins while making any transaction. Read this old post of mine to understand a little bit more[1].

14113  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Easiest way to shift from BTC to USD on: September 19, 2017, 02:35:31 AM
There are Bittrex and Poloniex which let you trade your BTC for USDT, which is a asset pegged to the US Dollar. 1 USDT is supposed to be worth $1; You can do that to avoid having to deposit and withdraw between the exchange and your bank account multiple times while buying and selling Bitcoin.

But, unfortunately it's still somehow risky. There are some reports that criticize the Tether (USDT) a lot.

14114  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum BTC Address Questions on: September 19, 2017, 12:51:04 AM
Okay in the first example.  If there were 25 transactions on that first bitcoin address.  You could see every single bitcoin transaction ever made on that address?  Could you also see the dates of it or not?  Or it just list all the transactions?
Yes. Every transaction with dates since the beggining of the Bitcoin. Try yourself, https://blockchain.info/address/<YOUR ADDRESS HERE>

When you say use inputs from multiple address in a single transaction, can you explain what you mean by this?  So if my other bitcoin addresses has bitcoin in it but i never used those addresses to send or receive btc, are you telling me if i list that btc address, anyone could link it to every other bitcoin address i have in my electrum or not?
Imagine that you have a HD wallet with multiple addresses, you have 1 BTC in one address and 0.5 BTC in another one. If you want to send 1.5 BTC to buy some pizza, you will need to send 1 BTC from the first address and 0.5 from the second one - everything in the same transaction. Because of that, people will be able to see that the transaction was sent by two addresses at once.

The other thing is say you only want to use a btc 1 or 2 times only.  How do you do this where people cannot see your btc history?  For example if you have 0.25 btc in an address that you might never have used but it just shows there.  When you send 0.1 btc, you would right click it and click send from this address?  And if thats the case, what happens if you want to send 0.35btc for example?  Would i have to first transfer btc from one of my addresses to the one that has 0.25btc to send all from that one?
Normally, your wallet software will sent the amount you want by using multiple addresses if the amount is not enought in a single one. See my exemple above.

So if thats the case, how do i send btc and receive btc where there is no history trail?  Like a btc address might have 1 transaction for 0.25btc.  Then when i receive or send to another btc address, i want to send/receive in another one.  That way i have no tracking where someone could see my whole history with just the address.

Say from now on, i want to send btc from an address that has no history.  So the receive wont know my transaction history and how much btc i have.
If you have a HD wallet, which will generate a new address after every use, every payment will be sent to a new address inside the same wallet, making more difficulty to link all payments to a single person.

And i want to receive btc to an address that has no history.  I assume most ppl do this as oppose to using a few btc addresses?  So that way whether to send or receive btc to someone else, there is no way the other user could know how much btc they have?  Can someone tell how i can do this on electrum when sending and receiving btc?  I have btc in a few addresses in electrum.
While creating a new wallet with Electrum, if you choose to "Create a new seed", you will generate a HD wallet by default. And just like I said above, just use the address found in the "Receive" tab to receive payments, and Electrum will change it to a new address after every use.
14115  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum BTC Address Questions on: September 18, 2017, 11:47:08 PM
You can only see every transactions made by a unique address when searching him in any block explorer like Blockchain.info or BlockCypher, and see the Total Received and Total Sent, including how many coins the address had in a certain period.

But this doesn't mean that someone can't link addresses together to a single wallet. If you use inputs from multiple addresses in a single transaction, anyone can see that they have been sent by the same person.
14116  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Windows Vista PC on: September 18, 2017, 09:23:41 PM
Yes. Even if the major softwares weren't supported, you can just use the vanilla wallet from TREZOR[1] which is a chrome extension and it's supported everywhere. Or MyEtherWaller to manage your Ethereum wallet.

14117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Any Reason My Tx has been stuck all Day? on: September 18, 2017, 09:04:21 PM
The mempool is full of spam transactions of 120 sat/byte+ again, as you can see here[1]. Those transactions are taking all the space left on blocks and leaving your transaction - that has a lower fee of 87 sat/byte - out.

We may see higher fees again if they continue spamming like this for a couple of days.

14118  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: USB Bitcoin wallet? on: September 18, 2017, 02:21:19 AM
How is it better than software wallet?
It's called hardware wallet and yes, it is more secure.

A regular wallet is susceptible to malwares because your private keys are stored in your hard drive, which means that any malware may steal your private keys or wallet file. That's not the case with Trezor or Ledger, where your private keys will never leave the hardware. The client that can be installed in any PC, will send transaction requests to the hardware, where your transaction will be signed with the private key - without touching the computer - and sent back to the computer to be broadcasted.

does it come with its own software to manage it?
There are a few supported wallets that can be used with both devices. Trezor and Ledger have their own softwares and can be used with Mycelium/Electrum/other major wallets.
14119  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Unofficial] Exodus Wallet | Multi-Currency | Built-in Exchange on: September 18, 2017, 12:40:54 AM
Will Exodus support Bitcoin Cash?
Eden (the advanced version of Exodus) already support Bitcoin Cash and other assets.

14120  Economy / Services / Re: [Paying for reviews] - Review the PrivCoin.io mixer and earn some free coins! on: September 17, 2017, 10:10:52 PM
The hour delay starts from transaction creation time not payment time. You created the transaction 50 minutes before you sent the bitcoins so 10 minutes later, the hour is up. Thanks for testing your payment will be along shortly.

Everyone else who has already been paid please post your review to help us out. Many people have been paid but aren't posting Sad. We will pay after the review is posted from now on. Thanks!
Got it! So, the delay is always set at a fixed time or does it work like "up to X hours"? If it's set at the specific time, consider this as a suggestion. E.g: Let the user choose if he wants to get his coins after exact 2 hour or at a random time from 1 to 2 hours.

I also confirm that I got the $20 payment for my review!
