1421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good News Entrepreneurs: Plattsburgh Finally Lifts its Ban on Crypto Mining on: March 01, 2019, 11:48:10 PM
This is certainly good news. There are chances that people in that place would consider mining. Although it's not that profitable today compared to the years that had come, once the price has increased again, I'm sure miners would increase to compete too.
1422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you get your daily crypto fix from? on: March 01, 2019, 11:27:57 AM
I recommend being more active here in the forum because there's no reliable source than the forum itself. I would say, go to your local section and read more topics about Bitcoin. Join discord groups and you'll see how much you'll learn more about cryptocurrency than watching bias youtube videos.
1423  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Do not use Coinbase on: March 01, 2019, 11:17:12 AM
That's why I don't use centralized exchanges anymore because they can track everything. Privacy is one of the purposes if cryptocurrency and limiting it would be bad in my opinion. Coinbase made a bad move this time I guess. Let's see what will be his next move.
1424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1000 Bitcoin: The World's Most Expensive Prius on: March 01, 2019, 11:11:21 AM
There's been a lot of news in the past where they are using Bitcoin to buy expensive stuff. I'm sure they will hold if only they knew that Bitcoin would pump so much in 2017. No one knows what will happen. I'm amazed on this guy though because he clearly is an early adopter.

1426  Other / Meta / Re: (Suggestion) sMerits Of Banned Accounts on: February 25, 2019, 03:29:39 PM
That will surely get abused. More work for the admins because a lot of people would start reporting posts just to get some smerits from those members with smerits.

1430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are altcoins backed by? on: February 24, 2019, 03:59:41 AM
First of all, there are many types of altcoins to this day. So what are altcoins backed by? Let's say for example a utility token. They are tokens made by a company as a currency to purchase their products or services. So in order to do so, you have to buy their altcoin. Let's have another example, Ethereum. Ethereum is used as a gas in order to transfer tokens under its wings, without Ethereum, a transaction would be impossible. The idea behind the usage of an altcoin is what backs it.
1431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The big picture they've all been missing on: February 24, 2019, 03:45:51 AM
I agree with this one. That's why Bitcoin is the king. There's no way that another coin will be able to take over the crown unless something happens, some relevant event that would shake the entire crypto space. "There's no crypto without Bitcoin" a fact that people are missing because before people invest in altcoins, it is a necessity to buy Bitcoin first. Also, Bitcoin is the foundation, all other coins rely on it.
1432  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Winter is Over - Spring has Come on: February 24, 2019, 02:43:04 AM
At this point, I don't really know. From all the traps that I've seen last year, I'm confused about whether the bull is coming or this is just another trap set by those whales. It would be best to wait for some weeks or months if this price would last or it will dip again.
1433  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we finally in BULL MARKET? on: February 24, 2019, 02:35:55 AM
Don't be fooled. We've already seen this movement before and I think this is just another trap to lure newbies hoping that they are seeing the bull. The bull will come months before the halving. Although the movement is positive, that doesn't mean a positive bull. But I might be mistaken since all I've seen are traps this year.
1434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why I Don't Do Bounty Campaigns & Why You Shouldn't Either on: February 23, 2019, 01:55:13 PM
Bounty campaign only profitable in 2017 and in the beginning of 2018, and after that this job not really promising good reward because too many ICO that has low quality product. So ICO market turn  in to low demand and the trend of crypto market also in bearish mode. Bounty campaign maybe profitable job again if the market back to bullish trend.
bounty campaign always be profitable thing.we didnt need spend any money and we get free money, although its amount small.compare it with ico investors, they spend much money but unfortunately they get much loss.

Free money? we are working hard for them, promoting their shitty coin for some little gain that they will give us and it's not even guaranteed. What they are having is free advertisement because they are paying us some assets that came out of thin air, probably a fork of another coin. It's not always profitable so stop spreading your bullshit here. We are working with time, electricity and effort so your claims are all false.
1435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't fell for FUD. Stand your ground bitcoiners! on: February 23, 2019, 09:13:54 AM
They are just trollers trying to shit on this newbies. I'm sure many are going to have doubts because of misinformation and false accusation about Bitcoin. Well, thanks to this thread, it helped someone removing their doubts. But to be honest, Bitcoin is like a double-edge blade, it could be the worst and the best investment that a person could have.
1436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Know when to stop a HODL/HOLD on: February 23, 2019, 08:30:40 AM
I agree, being smart about your investment here in cryptocurrency space is important especially the volatility of the market here is very high. People are blind from the facts, the history that Bitcoin was gone through. Some are too greedy, some are too afraid. Making a profit plan would really be a smart choice for newbie investors to prevent greeds or fear.
1437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to make Bitcoin more approachable to common users on: February 23, 2019, 08:26:19 AM
If you are living here in my country, it is quite simple to introduce Bitcoin to not techy users. We have what we called coins.ph that handles Bitcoin wallets in a simple way just like having a bank account. I know someone who uses coins.ph but doesn't even know what Bitcoin is which is amazing for me. I would say if other countries have this kind of company that like this, then Bitcoin would be more approachable.
1438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The bull market is almost here on: February 23, 2019, 12:22:26 AM
ETF is still blurry at this point. I don't see any signs that they will approve it in the coming months. Although there is a lot of positive news going around the cryptocurrency space, we still need more. A new innovation that will shake people's money.
1439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALL Initial Coin Offerings are Trash on: February 23, 2019, 12:04:09 AM
That is actually convincing. I was once a Bounty hunter last year, after months of bounty hunting, only a few have given their token and most of them don't even have value to this day. I would say 99% of ICO are a scam and should be avoided to prevent more scams from happening. I agree that new innovations in this space should be presented for free just like Bitcoin.
1440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Union Bank of the Philippines Launching Cryptocurrency ATM on: February 22, 2019, 11:58:46 PM
That is actually good news because the bank itself that many people refer to as "against crypto" is the one who is promoting it. You can see how they will adapt and use every means to maximize the potential of cryptocurrency. But I think it's going to be Bitcoin only.
