461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anonymous teams on: October 31, 2020, 07:31:07 AM
For new projects at this time, most of their team is anonymous, if you are in doubt don't force it to enter, even if there is a real team, there will still be a high risk of investing in crypto. so the choice remains in the hands and confidence of each individual.

True, it's not like people are being forced to invest in a certain project anyway. Like, If you don't want the project because of its anonymous team, then don't even bother. Investors have the freedom to choose just like how this teams have the freedom to hide their anonymity. It's not like those team who give their identities are 100% legit anyway.

Anonymous or not, it's still the same for me. Always be vigilant.
462  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Anong nangyari? on: October 31, 2020, 03:53:09 AM

463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some things will never work in crypto world on: October 30, 2020, 08:47:57 AM
I can't say you're wrong since it's really a waste of time to do something here in the crypto space that isn't really compatible with the current technology.

Though we can't say that it will never work because technology is being developed continuously even as we speak, so maybe it will not work now but it might work in the future. AI is getting traction nowadays so it'll we might see a breakthrough one of this days.

As for gold backed stablecoins, I agree that most are scams but there are some that is actually backed by real gold just like GOLD where you can see actually the certificate and the audit of the gold stored 24/7.

I'm glad nakatulong. I wasn't aware sa thread mo kaya salamat dito.

Speaking of Free courses.

465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you think you are smart just know that some are smarter on: October 29, 2020, 10:49:53 AM
I think OP should also mention where is the hotspot for this kind of scams. As far as I know, this was pretty common back in 2017 and most of the time, they are spreading their private key in telegram server. I don't know about now though since I stopped using telegram and I never see this trick in discord.

I have to admit I've fallen for it once. Good thing I immediately noticed that this wallet was programmed to automatically send excess balance to scammers.

So let's get straight to the point.

Step 1: Google Udemy or go https://www.udemy.com/

Step 3: Fill up the form, after nyo ma fill up, click "Sign Up" (kung nagkaroon ng problema, try nyo lang palitan yung gmail nyo)

Step 4: Search nyo lang ang gusto nyong matutunan, for example: cryptocurrency or programming then enter lang

467  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Anong nangyari? on: October 28, 2020, 08:50:12 AM

468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AIRDROPS ARE NO LONGER VIABLE on: October 28, 2020, 04:07:03 AM
Last before i leave. imagine 3000 people sending 0.001eth to a wallet. it looks cheap but someone is about to become a millionaire within seconds.
Just think before you send that money. 0.001eth  could worth hundreds of dollars in the future.

If a project demands anything besides your wallet address then it's not airdrop anymore but a bounty campaign. Immediately stay away from this kind of things. It's pretty common sense at this point that we shouldn't just send away our money to something claiming to give something more valuable. Airdrop is a form of marketing, they should shoulder the gas fee if they want people to use their coin/token.
469  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Satoshi Nakamoto address us? on: October 28, 2020, 03:09:54 AM
There are lots of criticism about bitcoin world wide that only Satoshi can defend. Why is bitcoin anonymous and decentralized? What encouragement can Satoshi give to us as bitcoin  trader/investors? We need to know the future of bitcoin through his vision?
You can see what is his intentions when you read his posts and his whitepapers regarding Bitcoin, it's up to the people to formulate something about it. He left but at the same time he gave us freedom on what we should do and it should be kept that way. This is why people use Bitcoin, it can be used in anything that people want to.

What more can he say? what more can he defend? How is this "encouragement" going to help us anyway and what type of encouragement is this? is it like a statement saying good things about how Bitcoin will help people blah blah blah? do you really think it's important at this point? I don't think so.

People already saw the potential of Bitcoin, people already saw what Bitcoin can do and why is it that way, and how we can use it. At this point Satoshi can just sit back and relax and see how will Bitcoin flourish through the years.
470  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halloween inspired poll –would your Bitcoins get passed on if you suddenly died? on: October 28, 2020, 01:52:06 AM
I made a topic on this a while ago and I need to get back to syorying this.

At the moment, they'd manage to get half but I used to have a time locked transaction that could execute to my main wallet they'd have access to so that the coins could be spent after an amount of time (eg 10 years).

I didn't know this is possible. In fact this thing haven't crossed my mind so I'm very thankful for this thread because as of now, the only way I can find a way is to directly tell them and teach them to use cryptocurrency.

But if I were to suddenly die, I've already prepared something in my computer that will help them inherit my cryptocurrencies (assuming that they know how to use my computer).
471  Other / Meta / Re: Merit source unapplication - Vlad2Vlad on: October 27, 2020, 03:13:43 AM

I mean, if he merits his own project, wouldn't the meaning behind that merit be obsolete? that is just straight up wasting merit that should be given to those who really deserves it. He is even bias to those who shills his coin. Like come on look at this, does this really deserves 21 merits?

Lambo tickets are still available! For free!

Even some useful guides I know doesn't get that much.
472  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Anyone using crypto exchange wallet on: October 27, 2020, 02:33:02 AM

I'm not an Abra user but nakikita ko namang maganda ang reviews nila.

473  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Anong nangyari? on: October 27, 2020, 02:16:43 AM

But of course yung may mga sense.

PS: Just want to ask, may merit source ba tayo dito? kung meron, sino iyon? Medyo late nako sa balita.
474  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie Copper member and jr member to be restricted in altcoin bounties section on: October 26, 2020, 08:45:01 AM
Edit: Sorry to confused you what I meant to restrict copper members and jr. member is to manage crowdfunding projects. If they will be restricted in managing projects there will be lesser scam projects usually promoted by them and you can check it in altcoin bounties section to which mostly copper members and jr. members are managinf scam projects.

I kind of see your point since the bounty section is plague with threads made with Newbie-Jr. member. I even saw rows of campaigns being managed by newbies. But this ranks like Jr. member or copper member doesn't necessarily mean that they are scammers. Maybe they just want to join the campaign managing business and we all know that ranking up is hard without merits so that explains why they are stuck at Jr. Member. It's not like people would be stupid enough to not research the projects these managers are managing.

I think what you should be more aware of are bought full member accounts and up. Most scammers use this ranks to appeal to more audience.
475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most popular altcoins on Bitcointalk. Kind of. Probably not really. on: October 26, 2020, 06:01:28 AM
I think basing popularity here in Bitcointalk would make more sense if you count it by how much users engage in it, at least basing on the very definition of "Popularity" from google. Views can be repeated and people can look but not care.
476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People's goal should shifting, specially if you are financially responsible on: October 26, 2020, 04:47:54 AM
I think this sums up what is the sentiments of investors past and present.

Hmm I don't think so. This is just an opinion of an individual, that doesn't really sums up anything. I think it's still pretty financially irresponsible to put all your egg into one basket. Yeah sure cryptocurrency is a booming business right now but that doesn't really factor out the fact that cryptocurrency is the most volatile market and doesn't really guarantee profit even today.

477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This will make any positive impact in crypto space? on: October 25, 2020, 09:07:03 AM
Digital ruble system as in just cashless fiat system? Or will it be a centralized crypto currency?

https://www.coindesk.com/bank-of-russia-chief-talks-digital-ruble-sees-pilot-in-2021 Based on this news article, It's most likely that they are going to make a centralized digital currency and I think there's no chance that it's going to be a stablecoin since they didn't specifically said "cryptocurrency" but instead "Digital currency", not even a centralized cryptocurrency like XRP.

With that, I wouldn't really see this as a positive news on crypto space.
478  Economy / Economics / Re: First Bitcoin Mixer Penalized by FinCEN for Violating Anti-Money Laundering Laws on: October 25, 2020, 08:39:31 AM
I guess it's inevitable. The authority really can't rule out the possibility of money laundering in mixers. I think the first mistake he made is that he wasn't able to hide his identity or his location. I mean, he's unregistered and his service is suspicious, it's not too long until they sniff him out.

This news might serve as a warning to mixer operators.
479  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [G U I D E] Paano Bumili at Magbenta sa Binance P2P (Coins.ph alternative) on: October 25, 2020, 07:16:43 AM
Solid tong thread mo boss. Swak na swak na guide para sa mga newbies na nagbabalak gumamit ng Binance P2P. 480  Other / Meta / Re: Where is my merits? on: October 24, 2020, 10:48:19 AM
There's no obligation to send any merit specifically to you or your post/thread. Why are you addicted with useless internet point anyway?

Can't say it's useless, at least in this forum though because high merit = high rank = high reward = more opportunity. Nonetheless, you are right that we aren't obligated to give him any merits just because he predicted something but Isn't this a case of merit begging? this is bannable right?
