1421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Pyth network retrospective airdrop eligibility checker live on: November 16, 2023, 08:24:44 AM
Update. If you were not eligible before, check again, you might be.

November 15, 2023: The snapshot for on-chain activity by DeFi users of dApps using Pyth Network was revised for greater inclusivity. An additional ~55M PYTH has been added to the overall airdrop, bringing the total and final allocation to approximately 255M PYTH Tokens.

I thought this additional amount will increase allocation for already eligible ones too but it didn't.

Rohit Sharma provided the momentum to the Indian team. His explosive hitting in the power play put New Zealand bowlers under pressure. This releases the pressure from the remaining batter, and they play freely. Rohit changed his game plan in this tournament and provided valuable runs at the start of the innings.

This tbh; otherwise players would be blowing their lungs out to get to 300. KL Rahul has become a perfect middle order batsman too, usually he had image of being defensive batter but in last few innings we saw how aggressive he can get.

South Africa had a humiliating defeat on the hands of India while australia too was easily defeated. The cup's this time most certainly is for India unless something unexpected happens in the finals.

One difference being, South Africa is still doing potato if they don't get to bat first while Australia's improvement after first two poor games is visible. So I expect Aussies to win today.

So far he has scored 526 runs in total, but the most important thing is that these runs came at a strike rate of 113.11. Rohit's strike rate stands at 124.15, while for Virat it is just 90.68.

In one of after match conference Virat said, team have roles defined, and his role being, he'll rotate the strike and other guy will play aggressive around him. He being on crease gives confidence to audience, so I'm sure it's same for batters around him, his presence on crease helps the team even tho himself's SR may be low (90 is not low according to me, but if you say so).

I like ones having cheap gas fees and optimism has been by far the best. On most transactions I see 0.00 on metamask, so you see how cheap it is. Since coinbase's base is also based on op stack it's also cheap.

Arbitrum is somewhat expensive, I made two transactions yesterday on camelot dex, it took 14c for approval transaction and 33c for swap transaction, so about half a dollar to complete swap.

Zksync era is also similar to arbitrum. I make 1 daily transaction on robots.farm game, it costs 30c+.

Bsc, transactions under 20c mostly.

Metis, I'd rate it lowest. Used it around year ago to use finance platform that's now dead, it was expensive that's all I remember.

Celer, couple cents worth transactions. Cheap.

Boba network, 20c fees. I dunno why I used this chain.

Avax, 10-20c.

Polygon it's good as long as matic price is within $1, otherwise transactions cost around 10 cents. Same scenario with other chains, cheap as long as ethereum is relatively cheap or their native token. Which I think there needs to be work around for. Chain gets more use, token becomes expensive, transactions expensive as well, back where we started.

Comment if you got something relevant.
1424  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What would you tell your younger self to learn this space efficiently? on: November 16, 2023, 04:53:12 AM
Ok, so here are some personal and some derived from comments I read above, which applies to me too.

1) I'd tell myself to not to hold on to altcoins forever, most of them don't last, either they go dead or go to such low prices that they never recover from. Convert profits made from alts to Bitcoin (or stable coin) and hold onto it.

2) Always have liquidity available to take advantage of market bloodbaths.

3) Although this one didn't cost much but valuable lesson nonetheless. Don't jump into defi platforms looking at lucrative triple digit apr, in the end you will only have worthless shitcoin in your end.

4) Don't FOMO. What goes up, must come down.

1425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to bitcoin price if Solar superstorm 'wipe out the internet'? on: November 16, 2023, 04:28:40 AM
If it would affect everyone, nothing will happen since nobody will be able to sell. But, I don't think that would be the case since with all these tech, we'd be able to predict and take necessary measures, Internet is equally important for governments.

From the article linked:

Flares, he said, reach Earth in 8 minutes. That sets the clock ticking for the possible magnetic field disruption in 18 to 24 hours.

If we have a warning, every minute counts because you can put satellites in safe mode. You can take transformers off-line from the grid, so they don't fry," Becker said. "So there's things you can do to mitigate the problem.

India gave total of 397 for NZ to chase. Although, NZ came close to chasing similar huge total against Aussies, here it will be difficult for them considering Indian attack.

One-liner reply, I expected some more from you as a veteran in the forum. Then again I am no one to say as I got tagged because of no reason. So, let's take it that way someone using your address. But, who will understand still a line statement still falls under spam? I think rather than spamming here for your signature campaign you should try to come up with constructive posts. If not then it is better you do not reply as your replies would affect the overall report that comes out monthly.

Lol, I use Reddit, I make 1 word reply. Here you have problem because we have signatures?

A one-liner reply is considered spam and if you could have understood it you won't be doing it on the local board. I do not know what makes you do it but being an active local board member you should understand the issues that it can bring up. Challenging me won't serve the cause using the Signature campaign as an example. I have been wrongly accused and I know I won't be able to clear my name out. No one cares about your Reddit understanding as this is a forum where you have to come up with constructive replies. A one-liner is never a constructive reply, If you think it is an issue then please do not reply here as your replies are spam.

He'll be interested when Bitcoin rises and makes headlines to the news, and will come to you with regret why didn't he listen to you and made purchase.

A friend of mine is not interested in buying Bitcoin even after learning about it.
Because according to him Bitcoin is a small number of people who have a lot of Bitcoin. They can easily go down on the bitcoin market if they want to.
Example: Cz. Craig wright & Michel Sailor etc.

Looking forward to the well thought out opinion of the experienced in this regard.

Although, he's correct in his own regard, market will go down if these people or other whales were to make market sell. But, we all know it'll recover, as it did before.
1430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Critique {ODI World Cup 2023 Prediction Pool🏆} & Discussion Thread on: November 16, 2023, 01:48:29 AM
There are two more semi-finals and one final match left, but I am very happy that I am in the top position so far, but I can't say anything for sure if I can be in the top position in the end. However, the top favorite teams participate in the semi-finals and finals, so it is quite difficult to make predictions. It's great that some of us have participated here and we sincerely invite everyone to participate in such lectures in the future.

You have been such great at predicting margin, otherwise there is less difference in predicting right winners of the match between participants.

Since Superbru gives 2 points for predicting right winner in semis and 3 for finale, second position 'kpk333' has still got the chance, albeit slim. The only way now you can lose is if you get next two predictions wrong and kpk gets'em right, he also needs to predict one game with correct margin.

Or you can go with his predictions to take the crown comfortably  Tongue

Good contest. Made matches interesting to watch.

I see you are wearing signature, capitalize on it. Accumulate your signature earnings separately, do not spend it anywhere until it has become good amount enough to be your capital. You could try to rank up in the meanwhile to get better pay rate.
Yes, I joined signature campaign few weeks ago, but I don't think I can get capital from that signature campaign will reach me to start a good business because, the amount of money they are paying in that signature campaign is too small compare the type of business I have in mind

Every bit counts, also when BTC rises, which it's expected to, your earnings will increase. Meanwhile, you can try to rank up to get better pay rate, as I said prior.

... and whenever am expecting capital too start a business is then my siblings will be calling for help and, I don't have that mind that will make me not to respond to them because I don't want them to look for help in a wrong way.

I could be misjudging your circumstances but you gotta look after yourself first before others, once yourself are sorted others can be helped better.

1435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you rather make your investments in FIAT or CRYPTO? on: November 15, 2023, 01:08:59 PM
Significant gains are to be made in crypto, but when it comes to securing the money I'd choose fiat, crypto is too fragile to secure money, you could argue that BTC is secure, but securing it from hacks/scams is no easy feat. You could park portion of your wealth in BTC but not all, just couple days ago I read a story about a man who lost 20 something BTC in hack.

Rohit Sharma just gone after giving good start to Indian team, great catch from Williamson. Until he caught it actually, I thought he was gonna drop it.
Everyone expected Rohit to play slowly and sensibly today but he did the opposite as he has been throughout the World Cup. Another explosive inning by the captain of the Indian team felt sorry that he missed out on his half-century just by three runs. Gill and Kohli have to maintain the momentum that they got because of Rohit. A good start by the Indian team they need to have 300 runs or more to win today. Plenty of overs are left and India already nearing 100 runs in the 12th over with a run rate that is above 7.

Since Rohit is gone, Gill is playing aggressive than before, I think it's good team strategy to keep momentum going without giving pressure  to the new batter (that is if my assumption is correct).

[Rename] Altcoin Announcements in hindi: Bounty translations posted here
I dont know about this because this "Language" debate leads to a lot of mudslinging among any Indian community. Hope that does not become a problem.

Ah I dunno how that would be a problem, whoever takes work of hindi translation, he should post it in that board.

Or if you misquoted the regional language point, then I'd say let's not divide further. I think most people can do English, and there are plenty tools online to get native language translated to English. It's easier for reader to understand, and feel like part of discussion even if translation may not be proper.

Timeswap lending/borrowing platform, supporting several evm chains (polygon/mantle/arbutrum/ethereum/base/polygon zkevm).

Now, I don't understand lending and borrowing stuff, but I thought this might interest someone. If you borrow/lend on timeswap you will be eligible for $TIME (yet to launch) + $ARB, $ARB rewards because they were one of grantee in arbitrum's STIP program.
