1441  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A few key points distinguishing traders from gamblers on: March 28, 2022, 11:39:41 PM
there are also gamblers who creates their strategy and make sure to follow in order to take advantages, experienced gamblers are same with experienced traders, they are good in analysing the possibilities, with hands on experienced they also anticipate how would be the turnaround of their gambling. But unlike with trading, there are many aspects that influence the market while with gambling, most of the time it's luck that influenced the wins.

High-risk if you just simply put your position and not to study how the business works, trading can be learned while in gambling just like what I just said, more on luck base to win.
Yeah, like when we play a dice game, we cant simply bet and roll the dice at the default settings or multiplier which is 2x because most of the times we can lose in an instant but a skilled gambler will modify the setting and use a different multiplier to lessen the risk of losing and to greatly increase his chance of winning but no matter how you follow your start, losing is sometimes unavoidable and the same thing can happen to a high skilled trader, they can experience to lose too even if they are not completely gambling or relying on luck.

All of us know the difference between the gambler and the trader but we sometimes relate one another because they have similarities.
Both have got similarities in terms of risk. Trading is low risky whereas gambling is high risk. When you gamble, you make a bet and the result will be a win or loss. With trading you make a trade and here you won't experience complete loss, which means the market decline will get reduced from the capital. With gambling the capital gets lost.

What is being said above as changing of default settings or making the bets varying the winning chance were the strategy. It can be learnt out of experience. With trading skills and continued learning is a must whereas with gambling luck is enough to win.
1442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: who is behind shiba inu on: March 28, 2022, 05:59:02 PM
Shiba is one of the memecoin that has a big community. This community is named as Shiba army. This is formed as a group of dog lovers which eventually turned big with more and more number of investors. When there is continued progress the development team started to update and started to make partnership with different firms to give it some real-time usage access. AMC theatres and few other restaurants around started accepting Shiba Inu as payment. The person behind Shiba is unknown for now.
1443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: March 28, 2022, 05:04:29 PM
another coach, however, wants to continue and that is Roberto Mancini Shocked
with the support of association boss Gabriele Gravina, Mancini wants to restructure and, above all, make the Azzurri's squad younger Wink

I think Italia's problem was not so much the coach, but the whole team: players, technical team, and administration. It was overconfidence that led to this setback in Italy.

They until about a year ago, have been doing a good job. So maybe they want to go ahead and risk it again.

I don't say it as the mistake of the coach, the players or the overconfidence of the team. It is the bad luck of the team or the fate. Going through the match stats it is possible to know what has happened in the match. Italy have made 32 shots whereas Macedonia have made just 4 shots. Italy have made 16 corner shots whereas Macedonia have made none. Italy made 5 shots on the target and Macedonia made just two. Here in all aspects Italy have played better than North Macedonia, but they weren't able to win which is fate/bad luck.
1444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian individuals are using crypto to bypass sanctions on: March 28, 2022, 04:12:14 PM
Russia invaded Ukraine, and now the sufferers are Russian people and the Ukrainian common people. Till date no news came out mentioning the death of officials in the war. Soldiers and the common public have lost their lives. During the initial days of the war, Russian billionaires made talks with Putin, but nothing good happened out of it. Slowly the sanctions made people suffer more. By the time cryptocurrency helped to withstand the situation.

There were requests from Ukraine to stop the service of cryptocurrency Exchanges, so to make the sanction more effective. Most of the Exchanges ignored and thats how Russian people are now living. This increase in the usage of bitcoin resulted in the growth of bitcoin irrespective of the war.
1445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender bias in gambling. on: March 28, 2022, 11:28:42 AM
This is the past, now things have changed alot. From what's been said in the OP, if looks like he's in the rural part of the country. It isn't his country, but in most of the rular part of the country people have the same opinion. This is the reason why gamblers unlike the gender look for an anonymous gambling access.

Another thing, the human civilization and culture is created in such a way. Maybe this will change with the morden thoughts to which rural population need to get adopted. It won't happen in a short, it takes time for gradual change.
1446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which sports are you placing bets on? on: March 28, 2022, 10:03:02 AM
I prefer placing bets on tennis matches, because it is the one in which I find the chances of lowering my loss on live betting. Myself used to go with the winning odds on popular matches. When the match is being played by unpopular players I used to go with the highest odds and place bets on the opponent when odds change during the live status of the match. This lets me lower the loss and such kind of betting isn't possible with most of the other sports.
1447  Economy / Economics / Re: Rio de Janeiro To Allow Paying Taxes With Crypto Starting From 2023 on: March 28, 2022, 07:07:09 AM
Rio de Janeiro one of the well known city among the entire list of popular cities in the world turning to be cryptocurrency friendly is good. The Mayor already have got plans of legalizing cryptocurrency. The best thing out of the move is the providing discount to businesses that work with cryptocurrency. On the other side Brazil is working on the development of its own CBDC. Allowing people to pay taxes in cryptocurrency is the base to make people learn about cryptocurrencies. Once the CBDC is developed people will be asked to move towards the country's CBDC.
1448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there no altcoins that can replace Bitcoin? on: March 28, 2022, 02:39:11 AM
Going through the existence of money it is possible to see different kinds of practice from the early days of human existence. Slowly there happened transformation in the exchange and trade process leading to the creation of coins and paper currencies. After a long the gold as a backing to the currency happened and this standard is being followed by the countries.

Now in the cryptospace we've been seeing more changes, and existence of different coins. For now gold serves to be the best in terms of usage and as an investment. Most of the new projects compare with bitcoin for promotion and say they have better features and everything, then why they weren't able to overcome bitcoin.
1449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 27, 2022, 06:21:17 PM
In today's second match a gem is being found. I didn't expect such a big game changing performance from the Jamaican cricketer Odean Smith. Today his bowling isn't the best, but his batting was perfect and he did the right thing at the right time. Scoring 25 out of 8 runs. The 18th over brought 25 runs against Mohammad Siraj bowling.
1450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: March 27, 2022, 06:03:29 AM
India have scored good, 274 runs after winning the toss. South Africa have started batting and there are moving easy towards the target. India is in compulsion to win and make their entry into the top four. India needs early wickets, now South Africa have scored 86 runs losing one wicket in 16 overs. This is a good start for South Africa. The interruption of rain in West Indies vs New Zealand match has lowered the chance of India getting into the top four.
1451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why NFT might become important in the cryptospace and the world on: March 27, 2022, 04:17:14 AM
There are potential ICO projects, same is with IDO and now it is the time for NFT. The concept behind NFT to have a unique property behind every token makes it more valuable. This way anything can be backed adding it to the metadata of the particular token. I want to know how far is the potential growth, the popular ones and the one who thinks very unique makes millions. Another thing the market is bonded with auction and here the valueless backing sometimes valued big and the real one stay unsold.
1452  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: March 26, 2022, 09:42:01 PM
Portugal must be completely aware of the threat in front of them now. This threat is North Macedonia and I'm still surprised to say this now. North Macedonia did the unexpected and moved Italy out of the World Cup completely. And Portugal really need to be careful against them. Even if they underestimate their opponent a little, they might be punished by North Macedonia just as it happened against Italy. Portugal must get very well-prepared for this game as a result not to come across this.
What you've mentioned is said by the Portugal coach Fernando Santos. We should respect North Macedonia same as that we did with Italy. Before the match it was discussed that we're going to play the final. In this match we should have the same feeling and Portugal have reached closer to the World Cup after much of struggle. North Macedonia on the other side will give the best.
1453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Meet Bitcoin Embassy Bar, a Bitcoin themed bar in Mexico on: March 26, 2022, 09:24:43 PM
No doubt that this is pretty much unique, the idea of having a bar with people to talk about cryptocurrency and such. Given that it is a bar and a BTC-themed one, I do think that people would treat this as a spot in Mexico that Bitcoin enthusiasts should try out, and even meet new people!
Unique idea and this lets people have better idea sharing their views about cryptocurrency. Another thing is the events. When one hear the talks of experts, it helps one understand better if he/she is new to cryptocurrency. Such themed services need to get established around the world. Mexico seems to be a crypto friendly country, because even for such a theme governments might levy tax as well as give warnings.
1454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is going to be bad for the Indian Bitcoin community on: March 26, 2022, 06:32:27 PM
This is an expected one, because the ruling government have never participated in any of the interview to give their clear view on cryptocurrency usage. Once bill is passed in the parliament, they won't think of common public. The opposition party requested clarity on the law. For this, finance minister have an explanation stating we're into discussion and the plan is whether to continue if or not.
1455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 25, 2022, 11:59:51 PM
^^^ To be honest, I don't think test cricket is going to get back its popularity anymore. yes obviously experiments can be done but I really doubt that people are going to be interested in test cricket again after watching T20 action.
Once after the existence of T20 format cricket people doesn't watch test format cricket much, but everyone used to keep track of the scores. This is a way through which the time being spend is reduced, but not the interest on test cricket.

Test cricket is just too old-fashioned. and the new kid in town(T20) is stealing the show. I really think the draw system in Test cricket should be withdrawn but I don't know how it can be done.
The new kid is not old fashioned. Everyone doesn't have time to watch as if people of 90's watch cricket. In the fast moving World the time is a major constraint. For that purpose T20 format evolved and it has changed the cricketing industry. Another thing will you say to withdraw the draw system in a football match. It has got its own rules.
1456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Around The World on: March 25, 2022, 11:49:23 PM
It is evident that the moving force in cryptocurrency as a whole is unstoppable, the rate at which it users increases across the nooks and crannies of the globe really worth it, while my joy is seeing the massive adoption starting right from regions it was first rejected and place on ban, now the enlightenment about bitcoin broadened the scope of limiting factors to it acceptability. Bitcoin the best ever first decentralized digital currency.
Yes, this is common to experience around the world. Most of the countries that were opposing the usage of cryptocurrencies and made a ban is now getting used to cryptocurrencies. Same is with the popular people around the world. Recently Peter Thiel, Co-founder of PayPal said getting too late and too little into bitcoin is the biggest mistake he did in this decade. So, it takes time for people to realise and when we realise it looks like an opportunity missed forever.
1457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chess online? on: March 25, 2022, 11:39:13 PM
Human beings did create AI but we know that there are things which cant be beaten up by human brain which it could really be superior on which people do really able to have a hard time on handling it out.
It do really keeps better and better as years passing by and continue to develop(well its a broad topic in regarding with AI).
As for Chess online then there are sites but hindrance on minding about whose your opponent would be always there whether its a bot or an actual person.
So far we arent seeing any platforms do adopts this one.

People have not yet created anything even close to AI. Those AIs that now dominate chess, image recognition, sound recognition, etc. are neural networks i.e. actually large matrices of numbers. There is no consciousness or intelligence here, but only the result of processing large amounts of information.
Agreed, the real play will be against the AI. Large amount of information processing makes the Chess game more of game that doesn't have preset moves. Only after processing the information the move happens. This can be checked, for the same move we do it'll move different coins in different matches. Things could change with time, but incorporating AI is something big it seems.
1458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Russia May Accept Bitcoin for Gas Exports, Lawmaker Says" on: March 25, 2022, 03:28:44 PM
Russia sells gas for foreign currency. The Ministry of Finance will oblige Russian exporters to sell 80% of foreign exchange earnings
Read more on RBC:
https://www.rbc.ru/politics/28/02/2022/621c7d2b9a79474bff316771

Now Russia will sell gas for rubles. Firstly, this law is not for all companies. Secondly, if this happens, then foreign companies will buy the ruble on the Russian stock exchange and pay them for gas. The Russian currency exchange will earn more commissions.

The dollar will still remain the world's largest reserve currency, there is more politics here than economics.
Putin gave order to Russia’s central bank and gas suppliers like Gazprom one week to implement the change. Earlier 58% of Gazprom gas sales were in euro and about 39% were in US dollars. Right now it is all about the plan of Putin to recover the fallen ruble and come out of sanctions. As said there is big politics than economis which comes from a long back history.

Right now 40% of the European countries oil and gas import is from Russia. To pay in Rubles, countries need to buy rubles from somewhere. Even it can be from the Russia's Central Bank. To make the transaction it is also required to take away the sanctions. Now the sufferers will be both Russia and non friendly countries.
1459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Hoard Bitcoin? on: March 25, 2022, 01:09:03 PM
Also, not everyone is sold on the BTC as a currency concept; some people just look at it as a decentralized asset like a digital version of gold.

I have a strong feeling many governments will do their best to keep bitcoin from being the primary medium of exchange. Their efforts will be in the name of their future CBDC. They can't have a successful digital currency when bitcoin and its LN is processing the majority of the transactions.
Almost every country have got their teams creating CBDC. When it comes to CBDC, governments can control each and every activity happening within the network. The same isn't possible with bitcoin. Some countries prioritise bitcoin as reserve, but never intend to consider it a transaction asset. There were few CBDC projects in which few countries have got involved to make a common platform for cross border transaction between those countries. Another important reason for CBDC is to make taxation easier.

I think that bitcoin remains a strong store of value for the foreseeable future. However, I am not sure how long it will take for the 'medium of exchange' use case to truly take hold.
Bitcoin have got multiple usage access and the same makes it more of an investment and store of value than a medium of exchange. Even the common people aren't much into using it as a medium of exchange. The priority is for long term profiting.
1460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto.com as Sponsor's for FIFA World Cup on: March 24, 2022, 07:55:13 PM
If I'm not wrong Crypto.com seems to be in cryptocurrency related service for a long time. Crypto.com is previously Monaco listed on coinmarketcap. Based on the data from Wikipedia crypto.com is into cryptocurrency related business since 2016 and based in Singapore with an active 3000 employees.

Even before the official sponsorship for FIFA, Crypto.com have notable sponsorship deals with Formula One, the Serie A, the UFC, Paris Saint-Germain F.C., the Philadelphia 76ers, the Montreal Canadiens.
