Give yourself a break.
<...>
At this point what do you think about this gambling strategy I use?

Yes. It's good to take a break in any activity, including gambling, to help manage emotions and make more rational decisions. However, I do not view my gambling activities as burdensome. Rather, they serve as a welcome respite from my usual work, which can often be quite stressful.

I think gambling can be a fun and enjoyable activity when approached in a responsible manner. It's crucial to set limits for yourself when it comes to gambling, both in terms of time and money. This means knowing when to stop and not chasing losses. But, for some people, gambling can be a way to socialize, relax, and take a break from the demands of everyday life.
1442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If AI were to somehow hack into Bitcoin Core on: February 20, 2023, 12:08:55 PM
@tread93, unfortunately, you don't ask questions that have too much to do with reality - because 2-3 days ago you wondered if Satoshi left some kind of hidden entrance, today you think that AI will succeed in somehow harming Bitcoin - even though AI will not be intelligent enough for a long time to even recognize what is in a certain photo, let alone carry out sophisticated attacks on something much more complex.

It's sad to say, but we've been seeing it a lot lately - loads of people don't really get what today's "AI" is all about or how it works. Instead, their perceptions are heavily influenced by the depictions of artificial intelligence in science fiction and similar genres of popular literature and movies. Also, there's a fair bit of hype and exaggerated claims surrounding the capabilities of AI, which can fuel unrealistic expectations and contribute to misunderstandings about what it can actually do. That's why lots of folks think that AI will just magically turn into all-knowing machines that can solve any problem in a snap, but that's actually pretty far from the truth. While AI has made impressive strides in recent years and can indeed excel at certain tasks, such as processing large amounts of data, it still has its limitations and may never be able of truly human-like intelligence or solving complex problems without assistance.

Here, read something interesting - and solve reCaptcha less because that's how AI becomes smarter Smiley

If you can identify what’s in these images, you’re smarter than AI

Cool article! @tread93, you should check out some more stuff like this to get a better handle on what AI is all about and what it's not. This could save you the trouble of asking such questions on the forum in the future.

1443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If AI were to somehow hack into Bitcoin Core on: February 19, 2023, 10:37:08 PM
Just a flat out no haha love it. Okay well AI can’t get past BTC, the government can’t, is there anything that could possibly ever stop Bitcoin?

You kind of already answered it yourself: "something like a crazy powerful AI computer w/ like unlimited computational power", except the AI part is completely unnecessary and pointless. The SHA-256 algorithm used for mining is surprisingly simple and can in fact be done by hand (and possibly a calculator if you're really bad at math), but it requires an extremely large number of "rounds" to mine a block. Therefore, you do not require any 'intelligence' but rather a specialized chip that can process the algorithm rapidly. This is precisely what ASIC miners do.
1444  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What instruments are you using for mining? on: February 19, 2023, 10:00:17 PM
Where can I get satisfying sites for mining?

There are no legit bitcoin mining sites, particularly those that claim to offer "cloud mining." Any site that does make such a claim is either a scam or not worth your time and effort.

As for your other questions, I suggest you start reading and learning the basics. Did you read the sticky thread in this board?
Topic: BITCOIN MINING INTRO & RULES OF THIS SUBFORUM - READ BEFORE POSTING

Quote
TL/DR Summary:
 - You CANNOT meaningfully mine bitcoin with your PC or laptop no matter how powerful it is.
 - You CANNOT meaningfully mine bitcoin with your tablet or phone no matter how powerful it is.
 - Mining apps for your phone or tablet that claim to mine bitcoin are almost certainly scams.
 - You CANNOT find software here to mine bitcoin with your PC by itself.
 - You MIGHT be able to do one of the above with altcoins, but such discussion goes into the altcoin mining section.
 - You CANNOT find or post software here to mine on other peoples' PC without their permission.
1445  Economy / Gambling / Re: STARTING OWN CRYPTO GAMBLING SITE on: February 19, 2023, 08:49:51 PM
If I would open a gambling site I would focus on being secure and would start small, with small limits, to se how it works where to focus on improvement, what to change etc. And when it gets smooth just scale up. You need good foundation like in every business. Gambling can be pretty risky in aspect that you work with money and every mistake can be really expensive. So start small and scale is smart thing to do.

Yes, I agree. Starting small and focusing on building a strong foundation is a wise approach for any business, including a gambling site. It's essential to prioritize security and risk management in this type of business, as you'll be handling money and personal information from customers. However, a gambling business without a serious budget and proper financing is a recipe for disaster. Starting a gambling business still requires significant investment and capital, and it's important to have a solid financial plan in place to ensure that you have the resources you need to operate and grow the business over the long term. If you don't have enough capital, you might struggle to cover the costs of things like software, hardware, marketing, maintenance and support. That can lead to a situation where you're unable to provide a high-quality service, and that can hurt your reputation and make it tough to keep customers. Without those things, your chances of success are slim, imho.
1446  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: sportsbet.io scam 1731 usdt on: February 19, 2023, 02:21:31 PM

Sadly, with all due respect and saying this to you as gentle as i can, far as I know, based on several occasions where I watched him addressing issues raised against sportsbet, steve is a man of his words. When he said he's no longer in position to comment, or that he has no further thing to add to the topic raised, that's exactly what he adhered to. So you'll need to make do with what we tried to help you understand.

Sadly, with all due respect my friend you are starting to sound bias as f..ck , if a sportsbook accepts a bet they should pay it period !

With all due respect, I disagree. There is no known law in existence that would require them to do such a thing.

there is no terms and condition in this world that allows them to steal customers money, you can put out there whatever you want, but stealing is stealing no matter how you disguise this!

But, what if it turns out that they didn't actually steal the customer's money, but instead stopped a shady customer from stealing their money? I'm not taking sides here, just speaking in general terms.

There is a reason why there are so many complaints about sportsbet.io on all over internet, but in the same time you can't see complaints about reputable sportsbooks like Pinnacle,

To be honest, I don't place much importance on TrustPilot reviews because they are proven to be unreliable, but your argument is flawed.

https://www.trustpilot.com/review/pinnacle.com

https://ie.trustpilot.com/review/sportsbet.io

Every casino has ample of bad reviews, especially the most popular ones. This does not mean that all bad reviews are valid.

So, if I take a Tesla car and I add spoilers and new rims and fancy paint and tinted windows and a new dashboard ...can I say it is now a new model car? Can I then sell that car, if I mass produce it ...or is this car still owned by Tesla?

When I started reading this whole thread, I thought OP created the "base" for this project... but now it looks like he added the spoilers and rims and fancy paint?

Just asking.....  Roll Eyes

Yes, you're basically right, except that Tesla hasn't released the source code for their car for free, as far as I know.  Wink

I came across this cool analogy somewhere: Open source software is like poor man's bread. You can eat it for free as is, or you can add your ham and cheese and sell it as a sandwich. But from what I'm seeing here, it seems like the OP is taking a piece of very old bread, spits on it on both sides, puts some butter on it, and then trying to sell it as a sandwich.  Cheesy

I think he should make a decent post about his site first. Creating a detailed ANN thread is better so it won't create confusion for those who want to explore it. If it's still under development, they should polish it first before asking the players to try out their casino because it might cause problems in the end which will be unfair to the users.

They did posted an ANN thread for their casino, which can be found here. However, it appears that they didn't invest much effort into making it engaging and enticing for potential players. That's why I asked him about whether the casino site is still being developed.

I agree that they should finish up the casino site before promoting it. It just makes more sense.
1449  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any Casino Android software on: February 18, 2023, 06:10:56 PM
Each casino has their own applications.

It's possible that our interpretations of the term "application" differ, but in my opinion, this is not the case. As I understand it, an application is a piece of software that allows you to perform some function on your computer or mobile device. What you are probably referring to is a web application (or web app), a type of application accessed through a web browser, and of course every online casino has their own, but that is not the topic here.

There are many people who are concerned about the security issues of using the app. They prefer direct gambling without any help of gambling application.

Where did you get that information from? I fail to see how using the official (genuine) app is any less secure than the official web app.
1450  Economy / Gambling / Re: Recommendations for Real Cryptocurrency Casinos on: February 18, 2023, 05:41:43 PM
Check our casino https://betcrypto.cr for sign up is just email and password we are KYC free for ever !

Thanks for the suggestion; I'll make sure to check out your casino when I get a chance. However, I couldn't help but notice that your ANN thread hasn't been updated in quite some time, and the title still reads "Coming soon". I'm curious, does this mean that the casino is still under development and not yet ready for launch?
1451  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Electronic devices that can detect wrong wallet on: February 18, 2023, 05:25:36 PM
What do you mean? It's quite simple to visually confirm the destination address before sending bitcoins. Simply remember the first few and last few digits of the original address you copied, and compare them with the target address. It's recommended to take extra precautions when it comes to financial transactions.
But if you are doing this anyway as you should (although you should be checking the whole address and not just a few characters), then what does an automatic tool add to the process? Either your computer is free of malware and so the tool simply confirms what you've already discovered by checking manually, in which case it adds nothing, or you have some malware which results in the tool confirming an incorrect address, in which case it is actively harmful and encourages users to skip the manual check.

Your clipboard can be targeted by malware, which is why it is necessary to manually double check your sending address against the source you received it from (email, website, whatever). Similarly, any such checking tool can be similarly targeted by malware, and does not remove the need to manually double check.

Indeed, it's always better to exercise caution while sending transactions, especially when significant amounts are involved. No automated tool can replace the need for a careful review of the entire address before sending the payment.

While I mentioned that taking a few characters from the beginning and end of the address can offer some protection against clipboard malware, it's important to understand that this may not be foolproof. In some cases, malware can modify the middle portion of the address, and taking only the beginning and end characters may not be sufficient.

Nonetheless, taking a few characters from the address can be a quick and useful practice to adopt for everyday transactions. However, for high-value transactions or when in doubt, it's always best to check the entire address carefully. Let's make sure we take all necessary precautions to secure our transactions and protect our funds.

Dear swaga,

It has come to our attention that you are attempting to sell a script online without the proper license or permission from us, the original author. This is a serious offense and can have legal consequences.

Firstly, as you may already know, even if you purchased a license for our script, you are only allowed to use it for one domain name. Using the script for multiple domains without proper authorization is a violation of the license agreement. Any domain found to be using our scripts illegally will be reported to the relevant authorities and face legal sanctions.

Thank you for coming down here and clarifying and verifying that you are the real owner of the script, I call this abuse, once we bought or subscribe from one software or script seller we should read the terms and abide by the terms set up by the seller @swaga should adhere to the advice of the seller of the script.
You are calling someone for abuse but you yourself abuse your limited use of the script you bought, you need to address this issue.

As I said before, I never purchased anything from phoenix gambling. Their work served as a base for my script and if you compared those two you simply wouldnt be able to call them the same.
I recognize their right to sell it exclusively so I'm taking proper action by changing the frontend of my script since its the only indicator I'm selling their product - Im confident to say, code wise, mine is better.

You are such a fraud! How can you say that their product contains "serious bugs" if you have never bought or used their script? As far as I can see, the version of the script in question was never intended for public use or selling, as clearly stated in their Github repo.

Let's face it - You've taken someone else's product, made a few tweaks (supposedly), and tried to resell it. And now plan to market it as your own with a new frontend. But the thing is, you have no legitimate right to do so. On top of that, it seems like you have no problem slinging mud at the original developer.

It's pretty low to attack the original creator of the product you're essentially copying without any legal right to it. Instead of resorting to such underhanded tactics, why not invest your time and resources in developing your unique product that doesn't rely on copying someone else's hard work?
1453  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Electronic devices that can detect wrong wallet on: February 17, 2023, 09:06:34 PM
Maybe I got him wrong then? I thought the OP had a list of "approved" addresses that he could send to, so he wants to double-check if an address is among those.
My point being that such a tool doesn't really add any meaningful security. If your machine is not compromised, and you are manually double checking what you are copying and pasting as you should be, then such a tool is unnecessary. If your machine is compromised, then you could have clipboard malware which changes what you copy, but you could equally have some malware which interferes with your tool and returns a false positive, or inserts the attacker's address in to the tool's database, meaning the tool is useless, and you would only pick up the error by manually double checking again.

Gotcha, yes, in the case of  themiddle-man malware it's hard to pick up those details on the go.

What do you mean? It's quite simple to visually confirm the destination address before sending bitcoins. Simply remember the first few and last few digits of the original address you copied, and compare them with the target address. It's recommended to take extra precautions when it comes to financial transactions.

Making friends is crucial, especially those who are skilled in marketing and operating campaigns.

Friends? I would rather say business associates.

I totally agree it's important to have professional connections who can bring the skills you need to help your business. While "friend" may not be the most accurate term for these individuals, forming strong relationships with them can be a huge asset to your business. At the end of the day, having a network of skilled and supportive business associates can be a major factor in the success of your business. So, whether you call them friends, colleagues, or business associates, investing in these relationships can pay off in a big way for your business.

Advertising is one of the things that must first be taken into account to launch a casino, without advertising it is very difficult for them to be successful, I think that with good publicity many players will arrive so that the casino has the visibility they are looking for and how they are looking for That they put money for them to play, that is the option they have when a good reputation has not been built, of course they have to do things well, but good marketing is the secret for them to guarantee success, and it has to be a Bein strong marketing so that you get results quickly, they do not have to skimp on expenses.

Well, it's definitely true that advertising is a key for success, but I hope they're not relying on luck of the draw with their marketing strategy. Because, good ad campaign can really pay, but bad one might make them go bust. So, I hope they don't gamble too much on advertising budget, and focus on developing winning formula for getting the word out about their casino.
1455  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: February 17, 2023, 06:30:06 PM

No he was playing small odds like 1.1 for over a couple of months until he got to 3000$ in total. Maybe I explained it bad sorry.
To win $3000 at 1.1 odds, he needs to bet a minimum of $2727.  It is never possible to get $3000 by betting 1.1 odds through $500.  You seem to have misunderstood or seen something wrong. 1.1 odd means 1.1x means you will get 1.1x return of the dollar bet if you win that bet and gambling sites will also deduct some maintenance charges from here. So how does he get $500 to $3000 with 1.1 odds lol

It's quite simple: by placing 50 bets of $500 at 1.1 odds he will win $2,500, assuming all the bets are successful. Now, the above scenario is an oversimplification, but it illustrates how a gambler can make $3000 from an initial $500.

Basically, I think you just didn't understand what JooBra was trying to say.
1456  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: sportsbet.io scam 1731 usdt on: February 15, 2023, 09:59:31 PM
I kindly ask community help here, my bet was honest and they do not want to pay,  today I might be their victim, but tomorrow you can be instead of me, please emphasize with me and let's make them pay otherwise they are just SCAMS!

I'm sorry to hear that your experience wasn't a positive one. From what I know, Sportsbet.io is one of the most reputable casinos here. However, I'm a bit confused and was hoping you could clarify something for me. They kindly requested that you allow them 5 business days to conduct an investigation, so I'm curious as to why you decided to publicly accuse them of scam so quickly?

You posted this:

Quote
"Hello pxdi,

Thank you for providing us with all the information requested.
Once our investigation is completed, we shall get back to you. You can expect a response from us within 5 business days.
We kindly ask for your patience and understanding meanwhile. "

So, don't you think it's unfair that you don't give them at least the minimum amount of time they need to do an investigation?
1457  Other / Off-topic / Re: Tool For Check ChatGPT Plagiarisme on: February 15, 2023, 05:14:16 PM
Yes, there are some tools out there that you can use to check if ChatGPT i used to generate text. But, here's the thing - from what I've seen, no AI detector is anywhere near perfect. Sometimes,  these tools can say something is copied when it's actually original, or miss some copied parts. So, if you really want to make sure that the text is legit, it's not a good idea to rely solely on these tools.

To be on the safe side, if you want to make sure that the content is unique and not copied from elsewhere, it's a good idea to use multiple methods for verifying its originality. In addition to using plagiarism checkers, you could try searching for similar content using search engines, or manually comparing your text to other sources.
1458  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Localbitcoins.com] Is Closed. on: February 15, 2023, 04:07:31 PM
LocalBitcoins didn't just shut down overnight. It was a slow and steady process that had to do with legal and regulatory issues. They started putting the brakes on their services in some areas, like in Germany where they stopped offering services to users in 2019. They also pulled the plug in some parts of the USA, like New York and Washington State, because they didn't have the right licenses.

Basically, they had to adapt to new rules and laws as they came up, and that meant they had to cut back on their services in some areas. In my opinion, it was the combination of regulatory pressure and the recent decline in cryptocurrency values that led to its downfall.
1459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chasing losses - Double down bet or Bet twice? on: February 15, 2023, 03:51:27 PM
What do you typically do when you are on chasing loss situation?

I try to be responsible and avoid putting myself in a chasing loss situation. To do this, I set limits on the amount of money I'm willing to risk, so I never find myself in a position where I'm losing more than I can afford. Let's be real, we've all been there - trying to make up for losses by doubling down or using some fancy strategy like the martingale. But if you've been around the gambling block for a while, you probably know that these strategies can be a straight-up disaster.

There's just no way to guarantee a win when you're gambling, and trying to chase your losses is a surefire way to end up even deeper in the hole. So, if you're going to play the game, it's best to do it responsibly and within your means. And who knows, maybe you'll even strike it lucky and walk away with some extra cash.
1460  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin generation on: February 15, 2023, 03:04:27 PM
If you're looking for a more secure way to manage your Bitcoin keys, you might want to consider using deterministic wallets instead of generating a list of keys. By using a deterministic wallet, you can avoid the need to maintain a long list of keys and instead generate new keys based on a master seed.

To learn more about deterministic wallets and how they work, check out https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Deterministic_wallet.
