1441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BANKMAN-FRIED PANIC GAMBLES TO REPAY DEBT on: January 02, 2023, 08:42:35 AM
especially if you use the user's money (other people) and hope to get the max win so you can pay for the losses of the users in the company.

I think that's too ridiculous for a well-known blockchain project developer, that's how genius SBF's brain is in managing debt payments and solving problems, if so, he will be the butt of ridicule by his friends, and in fact, many do that.
That's the craziest part of it.

SBF ended up thinking that he'll get a lot of money back through gambling. That's why people that have deposited on FTX and have their money there, don't want to gamble because the risk is higher than trading or by just parking it there.

Well, the genius has came out of the cave and started to make freaky things out of people's money. That's what money can do if you don't own it yet you started to lose it with your wrongly deed.

we don't know if he was thinking logically by such move, because it was known that he has some drug issues to treat his depression or ADHD. so for me, it affects his way of thinking and not surprised if he resorted to this move just to recover losses. however, such move was dangerous as he used the billion-dollar money of his clients. good if you are just using thousands of dollars but we are talking billion dollar here at the very least. if you are not living high profile with such amount, i don't know what that is.
He's already out of his mind and that type of thinking while you're owning a business that's related to finance and crypto, you're not really thinking logically with that.

Having some drug issues might probably have released him out of his right mind and that's why he's going with this resort that might get him some bail.

But, wherever you look at it, that's not really a good thinking when you're the owner of a big organization. He probably had accepted it already that he's out of it.

Keep it up OP, DCA is the key.
What is the meaning of DCA?
It means, dollar cost averaging.

That means that you'll keep on buying at any rate right now or you'll buy no matter what the price is as long as you want to buy it. And that's because you're into accumulation.

1443  Economy / Economics / Re: Legal methods of acquiring free assets on: January 02, 2023, 03:04:33 AM
In crypto, we have airdrops and faucets which have somewhat fallen by the wayside and become forgotten it seems. Is there a way to revive interest in faucets and airdrops? How could it be done, how would you do it?
When the market is bull run again, these things will come out naturally on demand. That's how it goes and people would like to claim free crypto whether they're unknown to have value in the future, as long as they get it for free.

Faucets may have that lesser demand but I guess there will still be people that would like to try it.

Mining also used to be a good method of acquiring free assets. Is it possible to revive crypto mining?
Mining isn't dead yet, it's just that the market isn't profitable due to the fact that we're in a bear market. Just as the airdrops and faucets, it's also going to be the same as the first two.

GPU prices have became lower due to the lesser demand, thanks to the bear.

1445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best altcoin to look out for on: January 01, 2023, 05:21:44 PM
The year 2022 ce with a lot of instability in the entire crypto market with some altcoins such as Solana losing their value by almost 70%. Even the worth of BTC and ETH also dropped drastically living many people confused and lost huge funds to this market instability (Bear market as it is called).
As a new trader I would like to know from our experts, the altcoins with good potentials in this 2023.
You've just said the first one for the altcoins and that's Ethereum. You don't have to look that far in the market because everyone is aware that ETH is one of the most desired altcoin to have by most holders.

It doesn't just have the potential but it's a market leader for altcoins.

Although, the 2023 might another be a rough time to look at but ETH has just proven itself as one of the top altcoins that one should have, only if you like to have it thus, find some other coins.
1446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My First Bitcoin on the New Year Day 2023. on: January 01, 2023, 03:39:53 PM
Congratulations!

You just did well for the first step and that's to initiate and buy as a start. There are other people that have been telling that they'll start buying but eventually, they've forgotten what they've planned and what they have to do.

It's because that they're thinking that bitcoin is expensive even if it has fallen around 60% since the last bull run. But little did they know that accumulation is at the phase again.

Keep it up OP, DCA is the key.
1447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your experience with bitcoin in 2022 and your expectations come 2023. on: December 31, 2022, 03:48:32 PM
Just be open to any type of shock that may happen on 2023. That's what happens at most times, surprisingly hacks that's never been anticipated coming from a known big exchange.

So, the possibilities are endless on this market, be it good or bad events that will turn the tide of the market.

Just as 2022, I think that the market will still be a slump year. But unlike this ending year, it'll be different and much better than this passing year as it will be just one more year for the halving.
1448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: December 31, 2022, 02:46:01 PM
There was an article earlier in the month on bloomberg concerning the esports investors drying up due to their sponsorships going a rye, then the whole thing with the exchange funding going belly up all at once:
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-12-08/the-hype-around-esports-is-fading-as-investors-and-sponsors-flee
EG disbanding in North America and moving it's operations to South America was the first step.
There were some other teams in the Dota2 chapter that have had to disband due to the lack of funding.
Too many teams have disbanded and sold their rights of the team to another team. And they did that because of their lack of success in the Dota 2 scene.

They've invested a lot but they never got the results that they're wanting. Well, that's the least that they can do to at least get back a bit of ROI.

To sell the rights of being in the division 1 to another team with a good set of roster. This has happened mostly in the SEA region, look at the teams there for the upcoming dpc season.

Welp, congratulations on that purchase of bitcoin that you've made. You don't have to think a lot and scared by just joining the forum. Whether you've got that much knowledge or not that much, everyone is free to ask and discuss on the forum as long as the discussions are related to the topic of thread per se and the section where it's posted.

And with that purchase, it's not going to be the last one that you'll ever do. But if it is then, keep it until the price is too satisfying for you to sell or not to sell until you think that it's the best time to do.
1450  Economy / Gambling / Re: JupiterRising.xyz | MASSIVE Amount of Games!! on: December 30, 2022, 07:57:35 PM
First, welcome to the forum. Next, it's better for you to have a better way of thread through purchasing Copper Membership and have some image posted from your casino.

Lastly, those rules that you've set, that will surely drive away customers to your casino. A $250 withdrawal that will take up to 3 days, no one would like to wait that much for their money to be processed.

You may not require KYC but if your reasoning is to only have 1 withdrawal per day and you'll have to raise money first for more allowed withdrawals per day.

Then, it's best for you to raise your capital first before launching.
1451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling For Fun - What Does This Mean To You? on: December 30, 2022, 06:52:47 PM
Having fun is a subjective feeling to any gambler. There are gamblers that have think that they're having fun and converted their losses into it so, they won't blame themselves for having that because they've already believed that they're just there for fun and losing isn't a big matter anymore.

But we all know what we want.

We want to win and we want to make profit but I think, this reasoning is a good mechanism for someone who's hardly accepting losses.

I have seen this game type before and most likely an options type of betting. There are bettors who would like ti bet on this one because it is a fast paced type of betting.

But after reading some posts of observations in here made by other members, about the payout stats and total amount of it, maybe OP can give some explanations with it.
1453  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any Lottery players here? Pick 2, Cash 3, Cash 4, Pick 5 numbers in particular. on: December 29, 2022, 01:34:38 PM
I've read a trivia about a Math that has beat the system of lottery and won not just once but IIRC that's for multiple times. I'm not sure if it was her, Joan R. Ginther and according to wikipedia she has won the lottery on four occassions.

And based also on this page.

...According to mathematicians asked by the Associated Press, the odds of winning this many times were one in 18 times 10 to the power 24,[2] but this is apparently a miscalculation.
1454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where is your bitcoin balance at the end of the year? on: December 29, 2022, 10:16:47 AM
If the question is asking all about where our bitcoin has been kept, it's best to put it to wallets where you have completely control of the keys and you have it. As said, to a hardware wallet which that's where I'm also keeping mine.

But still, it's best to remain lowkey and to be secretive if this is the topic together with the question of how much bitcoin you've got.

This is where we're going to give importance about being anonymous for some important reasons and not too vocal about our bitcoin holdings.
1455  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How pessimistic do you feel about the new year of 2023 ? on: December 29, 2022, 08:55:45 AM
2022 has come to an end. It has been a year of global economic downturn, regional wars and potential crisis. Uncertainty or fear of uncertainty has become top priority to deal with in most countries over the world. Personally I am pessimistic about the new year's prospect. I don't think the global economy will turn better or people will have a more stable and secure life. What is your opinion ? Anyone there who are also pessimistic about the future ? Please let me know. Thanks.
Honestly, I'm starting to see the recovery but it's too hard for most because majority has been down and gone and back to zero due to the covid-19 pandemic + inflation and lost of jobs.

Depression has grown bigger and that's sad for those that have experienced and experiencing it. I've got a lot of friends that have dealt and are dealing with it right now and I feel bad for them.

It's not just all about the financial matters to recover for 2023 but as well as the mental state of most that needs to be healed.
1456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An BTC Assumption on: December 28, 2022, 09:22:08 PM
There must be some reasons for that and have to recall everything that you've done to look at something to find fault from yourself. It won't just be gone for nothing and there's for sure some activities that has happened for which you've done unnoticedly.

Anyway, I've experienced that as well but only has to update the wallet.  Tongue
1457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: OneShot Golf on gambling casinos? on: December 28, 2022, 08:13:35 PM
Yeah, not available as well.

But I think with such games that do require some entry to get in, it's like a play to earn games based on the description that you've mentioned.

I've looked for some videos on it and it looks really fun and that's why whether you're a golfer or not, as long as you get to cash in then you can play.

It's somehow ideal for those casinos to have this type of game as well because it seems clicking.
1458  Economy / Economics / Re: What was your lowest point financially? How did you go through it ? on: December 28, 2022, 01:21:18 PM
I think when I stopped in college and can no longer pay the tuition and can't even get a students loan. I am at that point of time that I went outside the church, sitted down and just cried and telling to the air that I still want to pursue my studies.

Well, it's also due to my recklessness when I was younger and that's why I have to come up to that point of life because I didn't became serious at first when we're living well not until, my parents financial status crashed.

So whats happen now are you still in college
I'm good and thank God finished college years ago. It took me around 2-3 years to realize that I'm going nowhere and I have to set myself properly and choose the path that I have to go.

This has happened I think 10 years ago exactly or more than that. It's already long time ago but I can still vividly remember that moment of my life when there's no one to get some help and only very few is trusting me.
1459  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tips: encourage your customers to pay with bitcoin on: December 28, 2022, 11:47:32 AM
Physical wallet/ledger for storing bitcoin received from customers.
I think your intention is really good.

But if that's the case, I wouldn't bring my hardware wallet outside as it's typically ok to just use the mobile wallet that I have and it loaded there.

And about advertising, you can have your own share on doing this but it's no longer needed honestly for bitcoin. It's already known and unlike before, everybody seems to know about bitcoin.
