14481  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Time to boycott coinmarketcap.com on: December 28, 2013, 11:14:56 AM
There's a market out there for someone to build a coinmarketcap clone that only lists decentralized/mined cryptos. They'll get an automatic audience.

I'd do it, but I don't have those skills.
 Grin

And then people will argue that it should only list some coins because the others are clones. And then only scrypt ones , and then only coins with an animal logo.
The ranting will never stop.
14482  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Time to boycott coinmarketcap.com on: December 28, 2013, 11:00:38 AM
.... That is a list of digital currencies. Not a list of currencies that are mined.
There is no definition nor for digital nor for cryptos that they have to be mined and not issued.
People try to force the principles of Bitcoin on all other coins , which is not right.
Yes if you see it like that it is "just" a list.
I see it not like that the site is very popular and has potential to influence people minds about the popularity of a currency.
I see the potential to influence new people to believe
the coins work like bitcoin. In fact they are the opposite. My position is this must be clear, otherwise it is not right.
There is no enfocing of principles. It is the other way around.
XRP,NXT,MST are abusing the Bitcoin trend, if they dont make clear to everyone, they work completely different.
By listing them together it seems for non nerds and newbies like they play in the same class.
The fact they are "minted" is a serious difference.

When it is just a list, then what speaks against it to also list Lindendollars and Amazoncoins?
So , the people behind ripple should post on coinmarketcap how ripple works?
LMAO.

If you want to know how ripple works you got to their website and learn from there.
Also , it has been debated in this forums so many times what ripple is and how it is different from Bitcoin I really don't get it how you (based on your reg date) still can say that.

And to your last argument , which is pretty pathetic , I think cmc should add also livejasmin credits.
14483  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Alt-Coins on: December 28, 2013, 10:49:11 AM

I think there are too many dogecoins, because mining difficulty is weak. Probably Doge will be still going down till time, when it will be mroe difficult to digg coins.

Isn't that a key to succes having a lot of coins goin around?

What do you mean by "goin around"?
Because you might be both correct and wrong.
14484  Other / Meta / Re: Cannot Watch topics. on: December 28, 2013, 10:43:34 AM
The unwatch feature doesn't seem to work either.

Do you have posts in the thread you want to unwatch or not?

Yeah. Is there a way around unwatching these?

Deleting your posts? =)))
No , I don't have any idea , at least not one working.

Putin's the man!!! wish he would come to Australia and invade, a Russian invasion got a be better then abbot running the country or gillard or rudd our politicians are a joke

You're insane. And a moron!
Do you even have a clue what happened when Russia occupied more than half of Eastern Europe?

Go throw yourself in a river with a rock tied to your neck so we can get rid of idiots like you.
make use of the ignore button
im entitled to my opinion and my opinion is Russian occupation couldn't be much worse then the idiots that currently run my country.

How many of your people died because they had two cows and their neighbors none?
Do you know what unfolded when the illiterate masses blinded by communism and encouraged by the Russians took power?

My uncle was sentenced to 10 years force labor because... he was a teacher. That was his crime , teaching about truth.
He died digging a canal that had no purpose , like 10s of thousands of others.
And we still don't know where he is buried , let alone how he died.

You people in your cozy bed have no clue.
You're fucking entitled to your opinion?
DO YOU HAVE A CLUE what could have happen to you when you tried to have an opinion in a soviet country?

14488  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Alt-Coins on: December 28, 2013, 09:33:58 AM
So what do you say people, is it worth creating a cryptocoin that istead of mining has a stability algoritem for making coins so that when many peope buy coins value doesnt go up that much, because much coin is made.

I am baffled it doesnt exist yet and i am thinking about writing this algoritm up and of course make a curency out of it.

Stable price cryptocoin with predefined inflation/deflation, what more can someone want!

So you make a trillion billion coins , if the price is a billion times cheaper than the price of other coins , I with a single btc can buy a billion times more.
What you might think about it is a coin that gives more coins as time pass but that would deter people from acquiring in the beginning , because the coin will more likely lose value.

So , because you see a salad in the McDonalds menu , you assume it's deep fried?

It seems you dont get the point what the problem is. I will try it.
The site is/was seen as a Benchmark which cryptocoin
gain in popularity (measured but mined coins * last price)

Now they added Ripple,Nxt,MasterCoin to the list which are like the direct opposite of Bitcoin.
They are centralised and "minted" = not mined.

So comparing a digital Currency with is minted vs. one which need time to be mined is
like cheating in a benchmark comprison, because the measurement is distorted=biased.
It like comparing the IQ of a kid with an adult. It is just biased.
The curiosity is, "biased" is used as argument against the people who point on the fact
the to types of currencies can not be compared on one page.

I hope i could explained the problem.

You don't get the point. That is a list of digital currencies. Not a list of currencies that are mined.

Also , your comparison is false by claiming that both MasterCoin and Ripple are centralized.
How are both of them centralized , using the same argument?
14491  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Time to boycott coinmarketcap.com on: December 27, 2013, 08:07:54 PM
It's not the 2nd most popular.
And you can easily see that you can look at the chart by volume , name , price per unit etc.

Boycott? Why?
They list something. Do you pay them for this , are you forced to use them?
They haunt your dreams? Or are you butthurt because LTC isn't number 2 anymore.

If a coin is loosing value because it's not number 3 or 4 on some website , then that coin deserves to die.

Because, listing Ripple, a centrally controlled 'coin', together with genuine cryptocurrencies, which are actually decentralized, is an intentional deception to get us to believe that Ripple is decentralized.

Everyone please stop. Stop creating meme-coins. Stop supporting them.
Do it for yourself. Grow up.
You should be ashamed of taking money from your parents that work their ass off to buy and mine joke-coins.

mad bro?

No, that's just the voice of reason.
But of course it contradicts with the dreams of people hoping to buy a Lamborghini with a crap coin that they mined in one day while browsing 4chan

So the "voice of reason" accuses some random internet stranger to be a "kid" and wasting its parents' money for some "joke-coins" while having a link to a DOGE-related site in his signature? Sounds legit.

Have you ever heard about not shooting the messenger?
14493  Economy / Speculation / Re: What happens to the price if OPEC starts pricing oil in bitcoins? on: December 27, 2013, 06:59:51 PM
They could also easily start pricing oil in the Chinese Yuan as an alternative.

Alternative? To what?
How the hell is that an alternative to $ when the Chinese are pegging their yuan to other currencies including the $.

There won't be any locked or deleted threads on this forum for such reasons , and there are a few far more dangerous than scam coins.

14499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][DRK] Darkcoin on: December 27, 2013, 04:46:27 PM
Why do people say "interesting" or "I will mine it"? This coin is just a QRK clone with ridiculous numbers. I don't think the creator though one second, what these numbers mean. "Hey, 100.000.000. öhm hm let's put another three 000. wow that is fun 000.000 coins".
It is interesting indeed because of you may know already btc has some kind of problem imaginary or not with it current  value per coin and many think we should start using mbtc in order for the coin to gain additional value.

A coin with such a ridiculous amount may be a solution to make the coin easier to use and more attractive.

So it is an interesting experiment , but nothing more than an experiment nevertheless Smiley
