1461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Truth Concealment:what are the things that create the illusion crypto is illegal on: March 09, 2018, 06:30:41 AM
The mainstream media is a servant of the big banks and corporations, who represent the fiat financial system.
Most of the online and offline media needs advertising revenue in order to exist.Banks are the biggest sponsors,so they could influence mainstream media platforms.Crypto enthusiasts like me and you can`t be victims of that illlusion, but most of the newbies have a different approach, when if comes to crypto.

It is really sad to see the powerful and rich manipulating the media to make people belie what they want to. For instance, a lot of politicians in my country do this to show that all their promotional schemes for poor people are working as planned. In reality, all that money is being pocketed by them and some of it is used for those advertisements. Similar thing is being done for bitcoins and it is unfortunate that the middle class is showing no interest in in because of this.
1462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Opportunity to sell for bitcoin on: March 09, 2018, 06:26:49 AM
I was wondering, if you had an opportunity to sell your stuff alike cars, pc, homethings and etc., would you sell it for bitcoin (or maybe other altcoin)? The main question is to see, are you ready trade stuff for cryptocurrencies and how do you imagine it?
For me it is too pushy. I buy bitcoin with money I never use, to invest, although it is certain that everyone invests to make big profits, but that does not mean we have to spend all our belongings.

Of course, selling all your belongings like car and gadgets for bitcoins is really weird. I think this will happen if  a person has become completely addicted to bitcoins. I think, if a person is not able to save extra money to invest in bitcoins, he should not invest at all. If you sell those things and then buy bitcoins and price goes lower, your money will get stuck. You will have to live without those things which have become some sort of need for you.
1463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: the note not to lose BTC? on: March 09, 2018, 06:23:45 AM
In my opinion, the top priority is: Wherever you store Bitcoin, password / PIN protection is the most important thing you need to do. If a hacker gets your password or PIN somehow, what will happen to your property will quickly be transferred to their wallet without going back. and you?

Of course the security and safety of your coins should be your top priority. If you keeping a  good amount of bitcoins in your wallets, you must use all the security features available. There are options like OTP verification,, 2FA, putting limits on withdrawals with additional confirmation. One should make proper use of these features as they are provided for free by the exchanges. Also, the exchanges need to make their websites more secure to protect from hacking attempts.
1464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin making the world go crazy? on: March 09, 2018, 06:20:24 AM
Because if you buy a lottery ticket for 1 cent and after some time, you get $10k for it. You would become crazy. And people who invested very little and got like 1000 times more did not expect this at all.

Rightly said, it was kind of sure shot lottery for all those invested in early stage and then had patience to see it climbing till $10000 or so. Unfortunately, expecting that much growth now is nor practical from bitcoins and we will have to pick something from alt coins to get those crazy returns. Anything involving huge money can make a person crazy though the amount differs from one person to another.
1465  Other / Meta / Re: Can jr members give merits for posts on: March 09, 2018, 06:10:29 AM
The problem maybe due to only Member rank and above can send their sMerits away. I am not sure because Theymos didn't mention about this in merit system mechanism; simply my guess.
Something like only Junior member and above or Copper member can display images; only Full Members and above can wear avatars. Now, it seems that only Member and above can send sMerits away.
It is likely restrictions of merit system, but Theymos forgot to mention in the ANN about Merits and new rank system. If yes, this topic should be updated.

This is not true, junior members can also send their merits but he needs to have some smerits for this. Most of the junior members are not seeing that option to merit posts of other members because they do not have any Smerit in their profile. Suppose, I send 2 merits to a juinor member for his post. He will get 1 Smerit for this and then he can send it to another member.
1466  Other / Meta / Re: How to earn merits easily ? on: March 09, 2018, 06:02:52 AM
You should spend quality time means doing full time for first few days to get promoted

Do not know what you mean by this ? Are you saying that we should take leave from office and then keep posting here all day ? Sorry but this does not sound much practical however that application for leave would certainly make some people laugh.

I have earned only 10 points so far. I'm not so sure how I got them but I had them. But wanted to give them someone else but it was too late. I feel sorry now. I should have known better about this merit system before. Well, what can I say, my bad. I should have been more careful. Thanks for your post anyway.

You do not know how you got them ? You got them by default. And seeing your merit history page, it looks like you have send 1 merit so you got perhaps 1 Smerit by default.
1467  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Ratio on: March 09, 2018, 05:58:26 AM
Just like before, I am just doing some art and number, you could help me draw the conclusion; and then again comments and suggestion is very much appreciated.
IMO your point is really difficult to understand when you’re just presenting some kind of numbers in the form of a huge vertical image. Useful infographics are not easy to create, and graphics should not be used just for the sake of it. If you reach an interesting conclusion, my suggestion would be to please present it as a brief, to-the-point text, and use graphics only when necessary.

Yes, those images of all rank members looked unnecessary and quite big to me. However, Infographic is something I would also love to learn as I am also involved with affiliate marketing and have order these frequently. One question for you OP, how much time it will take me to learn this and what learning sources do you recommend.
1468  Other / Meta / Re: Does merit really helping the forum. on: March 09, 2018, 05:55:06 AM
accounts with jr - member ratings try hard to improve their posts.
while I see, accounts with full member rankings upwards, they do not care about good posts, they just make a post to make money in the signature campaign.
I think the merit system has not been entirely helpful.

You need to observe more carefully:

1) If you see the applicants for signature campaigns and those shortlisted, you will find a lot of junior members also getting selected. Most of them were ones having some merits. Recently yahoo launched about 3 campaigns that allowed Junior members and higher pay for ones with merits. A lot of senior ranks were also rejected.

2) Most of the people label senior members as just "lucky" to get merit points by default. This might be true for some but those active in meta are really helpful and knowledgeable.
1469  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Stat from theymos data on: March 09, 2018, 05:51:55 AM
I'm getting more source merits to send, I've already ranked up 2 Jr members into members or 2 members into full members. currently I don't have any idea on how to post a task with merits as the reward. if I ask for something complicated, nobody would know how to complete the task, if it is too easy, they might get undeserved merits.

I have already made up my mind about giving merits to members, I would give them a task to complete and they would earn some merits. I had 3 sMerits last time I checked, now I have 7. if the thing that you have done here was useful to me, I could have rewarded you with some merits. my first attempt of distributing merits got somebody a negative trust.

I wanted to ask people to post on my thread and have me viewing their posts. due to the limited source merits given to me, I couldn't offer something interesting for people. if you are up for it, I could reward you with 7 merits if you could PM me the numbers of empty blocks from block #20,000 to block 500,000. if you think that you are up for the task, post here and reserve the spot, I don't want several members doing the same thing and expect to have the reward.

First, can you tell the usernames of those users you are talking about, I would love to see their posts, especially who became full members. Based on you recent merits sent I see one such member, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1048815 , but he has lot of negative trust so doubtful.

I do not think I will be applying for the offer you made but I hope someone in need makes a good use of it.
1470  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: March 09, 2018, 05:47:58 AM
Yes I know. I just want to express what I feel. I apologize if there is a mistake on my post.

Nothing wrong in expressing your opinion or thoughts about the merit system and you are free to do so. But have you made any post deserving enough to get some merit. I mean if you have made some good posts and not got merit, then this complain is more valid. Looking at your posting history: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1257750;sa=showPosts , it does not look like this. Most of the posts made are bumps on the service you provide.
1471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you play online casino? if Yes... on: March 08, 2018, 07:28:11 AM
If you are following my previous post,  you can clearly see i think that the online casino industry can increase the number of bitcoin user, however i still wondering what the casinos should do to optimize their offers, so the players take the next step and move from traditional to crypto casinos.

First of all those casinos should spread this information among the current players who prefer to play with cash. There should be some incentive for those players in form of extra chips or so. Secondly, the members who spend particular amount of money in BTC for playing games should be rewarded with privileges like relaxed wagering limits.
1472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In Gambling, Money is not everything on: March 08, 2018, 07:25:46 AM
For gamblers money is not every thing they do gambling certain times for the fun and to enjoy the gambling like a game it is good for us to do this not only for the money but for the entertainment. If we do gambling in a logical way then i think it is good than those who do gambling by emotions and this will change the behavior of many gamblers.

Of course, money is not everything for all gamblers. 60 % of the gamblers are doing this for the thrill they get while playing with these games. Any sound person will not repeat the same activity knowing that he is losing money out of it frequently unless there is some other benefit involved. Among the rest also, there are some who are involved in gambling to kill time. There was a time when I had almost no work and used to gamble a lot just to pass my time.
1473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction. on: March 08, 2018, 07:21:27 AM
Addiction in gambling is the majority problem of most people here in this cryptocurrency world, after losing a huge money on gambling, addiction comes up, it is automatic, because we have this mindset that we could win this fight against the house if we are not going to give up, not yet until we win again some big amount of money, but that is the worst thing that we can do, sometimes we have to let go of what we lose, we have to accept it for us not to lose even more.

Addiction can be in both situations:

1) If you win a big amount, you will feel like this is your lucky day or you have mastered the game. You will feel tempted to play more and may loose all the at money.

2) And the situation you mentioned that one keeps playing even after looses in hope of a big win is also true. A lot of people do that till they have used all the deposit made on the website
1474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If money would not be a problem, would you still gamble? on: March 08, 2018, 07:19:12 AM
I dont think gambling should be taken as something on which one can rely for a regular income. Its not a salaried thing to be done. Yes wins are there, but one should not get it into their head as if its their primary income source. And when money is not a problem, certainly gambling wont be something one will rely for solely.

Gambling can be a good source for fun and recreational activity, and not merely winning. Thus, if money was not a problem, people would gamble more because of the excitement, fun, entertainment it provides with. No matter how much stable one is in monetary field, no one would resist gambling because it brings so much excitememt and fun in itself.

Completely agree to this. If you go to a casino, you will find a lot of rich people there who already have a lot of money. They are involved in gambling mainly because of the fun and thrill associated with it. Most of them have high paying jobs or businesses that more than sufficient for their monthly expenses already. On the other hand, there are some people who join gambling thinking that it will be their only source of income and now they need not do any job.
1475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Trading vs Gambling on: March 08, 2018, 07:09:19 AM
For me, when you just trade randomly without a clear pre-planned strategy to follow in all your trades, that is gambling and high risk.

And that is common to 90 5 of the new traders. They read some fake article online how someone managed to make $100000 or so in a week or so and then join that trading exchange using his affiliate link. Most of them will fail as they simply gamble ( pick the same trade used in that article without checking its relevancy or current performance).

My point is that, we should have good knowledge, skills, and pre-planned trading strategies to follow so that emotions will at least be minimize in our trades.

Most of the people are not patient enough to wait till they require these. Best option is to practice on demo platforms before doing any real trade.
1476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ways casinos cheat on: March 08, 2018, 07:05:01 AM
I am not an IT but I believe some casinos do cheat to win and that is why we have this blockchain and it's widely use in gambling
because it's more transparent and it has renewed the reputation of the gambling sites.
Nowadays, gamblers are also more educated because they do not blame casinos on their loses, instead they accept it because
the house always win due to the house edge.

How can use of another payment medium (blockchain as mentioned by you) going to stop cheating in casinos. They are cheating in the games not with the money deposits or withdrawals. However, I think that the number of casinos doing this will be very less. If a big casino with lot of experienced users start doing this, the players will notcie this sooner or later. Once this report this to the authorities, the license of that casino might get cancelled.
1477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Effects of Gambling on: March 08, 2018, 06:37:41 AM
I wish a lot of people know that. I just finished seeing a topic where a noob is asking if gambling can give profit. For heaven sake, there is just a reason it is called gambling and only if people just do not understand that fact, or they are purposely trying to attune themselves to something that is not possible and end up losing everything, then I really wonder what they have been learning all these years.

This is a common problem with newbies. Most of them come to gambling after hearing or reading a story online that how one game changed the life of a poor person. With time they do realize that they are actually losing money instead of earning some but it is quite late then. This is why I suggest people to learn from experiences of others (on genuine platforms) so that they do not suffer to learn important life lessons.
1478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How safe is Bitcoin gambling on: March 08, 2018, 06:35:25 AM
First of all,  you can't make a living by gambling or wasting your money, please be reminded that there are much losses than winning in this field. Second, you said bitcoin gambling? So basically it depends on a gambling website's credibility, you should just have to search here what crypto gambling are trusted (just like my signature banner, you could try it too it's safe and trusted, 😂)

A lot of people do make a living through this. But they are professionals and have mastered the skills for a particular game after year of practice. Even then everyone cannot achieve the same level as one needs to have exceptional observation skills which is kind of god  gifted. For people with regular jobs, this should be seen as a medium for entertainment and not a income source.
1479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What did you buy for money won? on: March 08, 2018, 06:32:59 AM
For me, i basically budget my money won. Some of my money goes to investment, because in gambling it's a 50-50 winning rate but in investment your money is growing. On the other hand, some of my money won goes back to my budget plan for gambling.

I do not actually use my gambling income for any special purpose. In fact, I do not even count the money earned per month. This is because I have a number of small payments (coming to bank for online services I provide). I just calculate the total monthly income. Anyway I am a content person and hardly spend any money on things except food and travel.
1480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you still looking for best gambling site that suits your luck on: March 08, 2018, 06:30:31 AM
I do not believe my level of luck can be different on different gambling sites. They are all the same to me in that case, but I have a theory that gambling sites give more prizes to new gamblers to attract them or better to say to hook them. Things that make a difference to me are design and the number of various games I can play at the same place.
Well you would never know and you can never verify what your luck is currently and what your luck is in the future. what are you talking about? Is it the design of the website or just how players are playing there? I guess it has a different impact in it.

I do not think that a particular website can be lucky for me (unless I won it) . One of the websites were I used to pay card games frequently appeared very fishy to me as I was not able to win there ever for big bets. Later, I came to know that they have employees playing there on  those tables and I am sure they would have been lucky everyday. Smiley
