My wallet the last couple of days just says "Downloading blockchain" I have tried restarting it multiple times. I am on 1.2.2. I have assets and coins I would like to be able to have access to, but currently it shows 0. Should I re-install for a third time? That's beta version that doesn't work with real net. Go back to 1.1.6 1.2 series is only for test net I thought he was using 1.2.2 of NxtWallet (see link above). And not NRS ( I know NRS 1.2.x is testnet atm) Incidently, NxtWallet 1.2.2 is only running NRS version 1.1.5 (1.1.6 is the latest mainnet version) so that might have something to do with it. For anyone getting confused, NxtWallet is the one click executable version of NRS. So NRS is inside NxtWallet, but you can still run NRS in a stand alone way (the start.bat way)

If you're still having problems, you can ask the dev directly here https://nxtforum.org/alternative-clients/(windows-mac-linux)-nxtwallet/I have added the assets and purchased some. The problem is it shows a 0 balance and "Downloading Blockchain" but the DL bar never moves past 75%-ish... How exactly are you doing the reinstall of NxtWallet? I use the NRS version (start.bat etc) so might not be very useful to you on this

If the source can be shown to be new, the price would skyrocket. Why are you trying to deflect attention from this.
It is YOU nobody is paying attention to... The ever useful posts of Smaragda. You forgot the kiss at the end. Anyone else want to decompile the current source, just to confirm if it is still obfuscated? You never know. Daedelus, I did this on a lark yesterday. Looks like everything decompiles and is readily viewable. I believe even Jean Luc has done this and stated that it was not a NXT clone. I'm not a programmer so I'll just take his word for it, but it does look like you can decompile it and see for yourself. spaw I was the one who asked jean-luc to look at the code. His comments are inconclusive, they can support both arguements depending on which bit you choose to bold. We need a dev to look at it, I don't doubt it decompiles to something but you and I probably couldn't tell if it is obfuscated or not.

Where are the proofs Qora refers to, is the source no longer obfuscated when decompiled? Nobody else (who isn't just here to pump the coin) interested in these proofs that will end the speculation and debate? Qora himself says they exist. Fixed it for me. If the source can be shown to be new, the price would skyrocket. Why are you trying to deflect attention from this. Qora says proofs exist today, we don't have to wait for the source code.

For the lazy people here: Where are the proofs Qora refers to, is the source no longer obfuscated when decompiled?

Thanks, someone already asked my question there and someone else already answered (just change the property). That worked, now I will look for the further answers I need over there.
The system works

Just looking through some old threads and found this that made me lol Charlie Lee, creator of litecoin, learning about NXT It was taken at the Texas bitcoin conference earlier in the year, seems like a long time ago now...

|

I started NXT client (server?) on a remote ubuntu server and it is started chatting with the network on port 7874. It downloaded about 320MB into nxt.h2.db. So I guess it is working. My problem is I can't connect to that localhost port from here. So I tried lynx from the command line and got some pages of HTML. I was able to scroll to the secret phrase and repeat form entries. I pressed enter on the register "button" and got:
HTTP ERROR: 400 Problem accessing /. Reason: HTTP method POST is not supported by this URL
Is there a better client to use than lynx? Can I bind the port to listen on the internet with suitable firewall settings? That is tricky since I access from a crummy network with varying addresses.
I think this is too technical for this thread If you don't get an answer, try the node/vps technical subforum discussion at nxtforum.org https://nxtforum.org/public-nodes-vpss/End of plug

Just wanted to plug nxtforum.org, if you're not on it then you are missing out on most of what is happening in Nxt. But don't take my word for it Look at the stats... https://nxtforum.org/index.php?action=statsWe are running at over 550 new posts per day and 15 new users are joining Nxt everyday. And it is only getting faster. If you rely on people like me keeping you up to speed, I am only going to fail you a little bit more everyday I am having a hard time keeping up with developments the last few weeks. So cut out the middleman and sign up to nxtforum.org

I'm not in love with the Hashrate.org alternative.
Hashrate is a multipool, it mines other coins using hash power and sells them for Nxt. A leased forging pool is different. You lease your forging power to another account who forges 24/7 for all the pool members and then distributes any forging fees they get. When this pool was set up, you had to transfer your Nxt to the forging pool and trust them to send it back. With leased forging, you keep your Nxt in your account and just lease your forging power. See the difference?
|
|
|
Jari76, I saw the pool you started didn't take off and you're still active in Nxt. Have you considered starting a leased forging pool? We need all the ones we can get

It was aimed at atoni, I don't care how big your dick is. I correct FUD wherever I find it.
How was it a fud? there order books are completely empty but the most funny is how they claim to have 300 btc volume lol D for doubt. You're making the suggestion that a week old exchange with a commensurate volume will be a failure. F for fear. By pointing the above out repeatedly, you think you can scare enough away that it becomes true. Let's talk about CCEDK again in 3-6months, you can't draw any reasonable conclusions from a week, especially the first week.

This is the one you refer to: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-07-18/bitcoin-dominance-challenged-as-danish-bourse-offers-nxt-trading.htmlHowever, this is a Bloomberg.com news article, picked up and prepared by Bloomberg reporters and Bllomberg editors (Reporter: Christian Wienberg at cwienberg@bloomberg.net, Editor: Tasneem Hanfi Brogger at tbrogger@bloomberg.net) CCEDK is only a week old With 7 Nxt/Fiat pairs (USD, EUR, GBP, NOK, DKK, SEK, CHF), I will be doing all my future fiat exchanges there.

I have seen a few people mention a BC centric exchange. That is why I asked about multisignature support earlier. jl777 has created Multigateway (MGW) that allows Nxt/ other coin pairs. Knowing he wouldn't have the time or resources to support the requests from all the other coins to be added, he has released Universal Multigateway (uMGW) for other crypto communities to make use of. What this means is that Blackcoin can set up an almost decentralised Multigateway of its own that supports any BC/ other coin pairs that the community wants. Rather than using Mintpal/Bittrex, you just need 3 trusted members to run the 3 uMGW servers. None will have the power to run with the deposits as a centralised exchange could, they would all have to collude together (hence almost decentralised). If you're interested, you can find more detailed information at: https://nxtforum.org/nxtservices-releases/umgw-release-of-universal-mgw-daemon/

DGEX to reopen on the 1st August DGEX is scheduled to reopen on Friday August 1st 6pm GMT. Software development is delayed and DGEX is not willing to relaunch with parts of the previous infrastructure in place even when the weaker links requiring operator interaction have been obstructed. We are currently developing service structure that renders hacking of customer funds practically impossible. In fact customers will have control of their funds at all times through distributed client side Bitcoin / NXT / FIMK wallets accessible through the DGEX service and shared with its appropriate automation facilities.
We may expedite processing of some parts of DGEX such as funds withdrawals earlier next week, however customers will have access to their funds by Friday the latest. To our and our customer's fortune, cryptocurrency trading is generally slow these weeks, lessening the impact of the delays in getting DGEX properly online. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
