1461  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Overcome and Handle Your Mistakes in Trading? on: July 25, 2020, 05:41:47 PM
In my own experience in order to overcome my incorrect decisions in trading or in other things that I am doing, I am determining why did I make a mistake so I can create a countermeasure to it. So the next time I trade I will be very careful so same mistake will not be committed again.
That's how it should be done by everyone basically because learning from mistakes is the core secret to success and actually the best traders try and turn their mistakes into profits next time. I will give an example to make it more clear, suppose when a dump happens you panicked and sell your bitcoins so a smart trader would just learn and not sell next time but an experienced and successful trade would also take advantage next time by buying at the dip next time.

These are small things we all experience in trading and the one who learns how to use this information in the best possible manner becomes successful at trading.
1462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Protect Yourself from Fraudulent Bitcoin Giving on: July 25, 2020, 04:55:16 PM
The perpetrators may launch social-based attacks (social engineering) against Twitter employees. Hackers access Twitter's internal systems and devices, and thus successfully tweet the Bitcoin giveaway.
For example the Kanye West account which was also hacked. The famous US musician is "tweeting" he will duplicate the Bitcoin sent to his Bitcoin address. With common logic, it is unlikely that anyone would give free money in the form of Bitcoin, without any veiled intentions.
Yep you’re right about that, no one is ready to give you free money, I just don’t know why people are falling for these type of scams. Is it that they don’t know that people like Bill Gates no matter how rich they are, they cannot just wake up in a day and come online and start giving out free money, that doesn’t happen. And the worst part of it all is that people were dumb enough to the extent that they were all told to send money to those addresses to be doubled and they agreed to send money Sad. It’s time for everyone to wise up and stop falling these well-planned scams.

The reason why I am calling it a well planned scam is, scammer were making use of 3 things: covid19-High level people's twitter account-bitcoin. If they missed any one of above three, then thy may not be able to achieve what they have planned initially. Victims might have believed that due to pandemic, big people are sharing their wealth and for knowing our addy and how desperate they need money, they might have assumed about that "doubling" part.
1463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost 900$. Block chain compromised or scamming us on: July 25, 2020, 04:20:34 PM
Who exactly referred you to make use of the Blockchain wallet? You made a mistake mate, you should have used the main wallet you have been using to receive Bitcoin before now and that’s Exodus (I don’t know for the Unocoin you mentioned). If it’s the guy you did business with that referred you to make use of the Blockchain wallet, then maybe he was planning a double spend attack on you.

Apart from that, I think Blockchain wallet is having some kind of bugs, because earlier this year my friend lost $7,000 he stored in a Blockchain wallet (or maybe it was hacked). Since, then I have been careful with using that wallet. I have stopped making use of blockchain we wallet once they upgraded their services in a way we are unable to have access to our privatekeys.
1464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoins dominance coming to an end? on: July 24, 2020, 04:26:18 PM
A lot of speculations coming around this forum as well as in many other sites regarding the dominance if BTC is going to end, Are the alts going to take over???

Where as I went through few links where it states like big whales are targeting altcoins over BTC. Pretty cool 😎 but I still believe in this valuable asset because remember what happened in 2017 it rallied more than 1000%. So guys don't panic and take serious decisions have patience till it recovers BTC is still dominating and hopefully it will in upcoming. Link just for reference.

https://dailyhodl.com/2020/07/21/bitcoins-status-as-crypto-king-is-coming-to-an-end-predicts-blockchairs-nikita-zhavoronkov-heres-why/amp/
Don’t mind these people, Bitcoin’s dominance is not coming to an end, people just like to say trash all the time. Whenever they notice a slight decrease in Bitcoin and the price is going down they will all start saying things that are so annoying. This is not the first time they are saying things like this. A few times that I have seen the price of Bitcoin drop and altcoins starts to increase, a lot of people started saying that it’s time for altcoins to take over, but at the end it all never happened, Bitcoin still retained its position as the number one cryptocurrency in the market.

Altcoins cannot hold their dominance because in the history, no altcoin got consistent growth through out its life time. It means all altcoins are seaonal. They come and attarct some investor and then fade away when some superior innovation based coin arrives in this space. So, collectively all altcoins cannot dominate in this crypto space. I am sure even in worst case bitcoin dominance will stick above 40% for sure.
1465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe in Ripple? on: July 24, 2020, 09:57:10 AM
In terms of marketing XRP has one of the best and its adoption plan can extend throughout China and India. However, there is the problem of centralization that affects the project by showing us a large amount of the supply in the hands of banks and small power groups. In the end, the great demand of XRP attracts a large amount of investors and I confess that I have been following the project for several years.

Indeed, large amount of supply is being kept by the company itself, banks and other money giants. But that’s normal as the asset is being used for quicker and cheaper transactions between different fiat currencies across the globe. And as fiat currencies is involved, of course the transactions will involve banks and other financial institutions. XRP is still on the initial stage of mass adoption.

There are many countries where ripple is yet to be introduced. It will continue to rise as long as its demand keeps increasing and mass transactions in XRP take place. So, investing into ripple in short term may get us good benefits even it is a centralized company based cryptocurrency.

Centralized shit but still make it to top 5, isn't profit making is why majority are into crypto? Who cares if the profit is from centralized or decentralized projects? No coin is shit to me, I'm more interested in how much I make

I agree with what you have the say here brother. Most of the people in the crypto market are just for the profits and nothing else. They don’t know about the underlying technology (blockchain) or its use cases in real world. They are here to make quick money and the fact that XRP has been showing growth is more than an enough reason to invest. Although I’d always recommend people to research before, they invest their hard earned money in the coin.
1466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Governments cannot control Bitcoin on: July 24, 2020, 09:12:54 AM
The governments can't control Bitcoin because it is decentralized. It wasn't made in favour of a centralized system where one person or authority can have full power and control over its transaction. The farthest the governments can go is to impose regulations on Bitcoin transactions especially on the exchange sites.
Bitcoin wasn’t created with an intention of being just another virtual currency, it was created with an objective of decentralizing the payment systems and to eliminate the interference of the third party institutions. That means neither can bitcoin be controlled by a single party and nor can it be controlled by the government. Bitcoin is controlled by all the bitcoin holders around the globe.

The most that any of the government can do is ban the trade of BTC against fiat currencies or set rules and regulations for the crypto exchanges. They can never stop or track the bitcoin transactions that take place on a daily basis. So far no government was successful on regulating crypto related activities hence I believe we do not need to get unnecessary panic on this.
1467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it risky to invest in new crytpo coin/tokens? on: July 23, 2020, 08:22:45 PM
It totally depends if you want to hold for long term or trade short term. If you are in this for the long haul, you should research about the projects and invest your money in those that are legit, have potential and meet your expectations. Short term changes in its price shouldn’t affect you much as it’s a long term investment and you will get your returns in the meantime.

If you are in for short trades, you could literally make profits out of any coin in the market if you know the technicalities and how the market reacts. In my opinion and experiences it is okay to invest in new coins, just do thorough research beforehand. There are many people made huge fortunes just out of new coins and tokens.
1468  Economy / Economics / Re: Interesting perspective of Investors on: July 23, 2020, 03:08:45 PM
There still hope & greed that motivate people to hold btc. Everyone believe in the next bull run in thier heart
True investors know the real worth of bitcoins and they ain't gonna sell as the survey shows that 60% of the investors would rather look to hold their bitcoins and not go for below $10k if even they have to wait lifetime which actually shows the faith of investors because no matter what happens they know the price is going to cross $10k and actually I am quite sure a lot of those 60% won't even sell under $15k because the price is expected to rise only as the pandemic also settles down slowly.

If I was an investor and had enough money to lock in, I would actually not even sell in the next bull-run because I have a strange feeling that anyone holding their coins for an year might never have to work again.
1469  Economy / Economics / Re: Business / private sector is dead on: July 23, 2020, 02:37:11 PM
Depends on where you live. Or maybe dead is an extreme word. Things were pretty difficult for medium scale businesses in the beginning though, but it seems to have returned to normal where I live after reasonable amount of business/social activities resumed. I guess cities and big towns are mostly affected where lockdown are still in place around the world?
I agree with the fact that every country differs and while some have been able to restore normality or close to that but there are still countries that are suffering and I cannot deny the fact that the private sector is really dead right now because there are no jobs and the ones who are holding onto their jobs are lucky or just hardworking because it's not easy to cling on your job in such times with the payroll being cut and the work hours being increased in general.

As an online freelancer and part time worker I know it is not easy to get the same amount of projects as it was earlier because really no one wants to invest in any project and hence there is a low right now in the market in terms of investment, jobs and new projects.
1470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What the heck is happening to new projects? on: July 21, 2020, 11:07:30 PM
Assets are falling, markets are falling, money is becoming smaller and no one wants to lose them.
Now people are interested in the survival and preservation of assets, while new projects are development and technology.
It is worth waiting for the end of the pandemic and economic recovery.
But I'm seeing the consequence of pandemic is slowly getting over as there are many talks about possibility of vaccines to be developed in very near future. So, we can expect about markets not to be falling further anymore so that we will not be losing anything here after. When worldwide economic conditions will be good and start slowly growing up, I believe crypto markets also will be following that. Because, we are all having investors from every part of this world and when everyone getting back into their normal life then we can expect this crypto space will be growing like before.

At this mean time, we cannot expect new projects to be performing well in terms of attracting new investors and devs to be providing any update about their progress as per their roadmap. Everything is getting delayed hence we need to calm down for some period of time so that everything will be get back into usual action.
1471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ARE ICOS STILL LEGIT? on: July 21, 2020, 10:25:59 PM
People are tired of a lot of ICO scam projects and that is right there are a lot of projects and most of them are scams not legit. However, that doesn't mean every ICO projects are the same and all of them are a fraud. There are still some legit projects and as you above mentioned people who invest in ICO projects maybe he have made good research about this project and rely on this project.
Even there are some projects are legit, I guess no one from this community will be ready to believe into them by spending their hard earned money for any kind of ICO contribution. Because, all the people from this community must be too tired after encountering so much scams here. So, in my opinion there will be no point of talking about being legit about this ICO industry.

Almost each and every one of this community just has switched over to IEO because that is guaranteed by reputed exchanges. When you will be having safer hands for your investments then obviously you will be moving out. This is what exactly happened in this ICO platform.
1472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if the project is fake? on: July 21, 2020, 09:43:30 PM
the first thing I saw was the product, after that I saw the team and the community in the telegram. if one of them I get something quite strange then I will immediately consider it scam project
But, there are big chances for making you believed into them easily as your measurements are sounding like enough against how well scammers are preparing their all aspects which includes social media activities and whitepaper and roadmap presentation and etc. If you look for only such very limited things then the chance for getting into scammy project is more. You must include few other steps in your due diligence procedures so that you could stay secured against all fake projects.

I am completely staying away from ICO projects hence I am not spending any time on finding projects whether they are good or not to work with. But in the past, when I was actively participating into ICOs, I do always check high rank forum members for opinion and most of the times, they are good in spotting fake projects.
1473  Economy / Economics / Re: Did COVID-19 Bring Any Positive Sign? on: July 21, 2020, 07:27:12 PM
Covid 19 didn't bring any positive sign at all. There are so many life that is gone and affected of the viruses, some are really getting frustrated and the economy really fall down because people cannot work freely. I believe that pandemic has no positive effect in the whole world in fact it ha a very worst effect on the economic zone.
No, what OP said is true. I know there are so many people who died due to the virus, but we all know to ourselves that a lot of things have improved in our life or in our habits. We also learned new things, and even without work, people make a lot of things just to survive despite having this pandemic around.
I am sorry but I won't call those things as positive. It is like a massive accident happens and 7 out of 8 people died and we say look the 1 guy survived and that's a positive, that is not the way we should be looking at the situation because the virus has created craters in the economy of many countries which are beyond recovery and imagination.

The deaths caused are always upsetting but when the economy is hit hard then it feels like even more terrible because now the coming generations will suffer along with the current generation. There is literally nothing positive to be looked from the situation and either you must be too optimistic to believe that something positive is happening or you aren't affected as much and hence you think so.
1474  Economy / Economics / Re: Very strange most people like to buy with bitcoin , but using altcoins very few on: July 21, 2020, 06:23:02 PM
Very strange thing i noticed: most people like to buy with bitcoin , but using altcoins very few

I think all clients i had from bitcointalk prefer to use bitcoin to buy services / products they needed ...

Not a single client that i had until now used altcoins like ethereum ,litecoin etc or tokens like usdt, usdc ....

Why do you think people don't like to use altcoins to buy things on the internet ?
simple, most people like transactions using bitcoin because the popularity of bitcoin is already known by many people so that it has a high value and is believed to be more able to maintain its value compared to altcoin which can be without us knowing in short the time can be worthless. bitcoin is a digital coin that is known to many people who are believed to continue to increase its value in the future
Yes aided by the fact that altcoins are not easy for everyone to understand and a lot of investors and crypto projects only want to work with bitcoins because it was the primary coin and then others followed in the chain.

By the way guys since we are talking about this, it is worth mentioning that bitrefill now allows balance to be preserved in USD once you deposit with bitcoins and eliminate the price volatility completely. you can also keep the balance in bitcoins though if you want.

They also accept ETH/DOGE/XRP and like 5 more coins overall so you might want to try them out and personally I have a great experience with them so far and if you pay proper fees they don't even wait for confirmations on BTC transactions.
1475  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Visa&Mastecard paradigm shifts. on: July 20, 2020, 09:59:23 PM
Seems both Visa and Mastercard become more loyal to cryptocurrency. Crypterium has become the  licensed card issuer of  Visa (partnered with European branch)  while  Mastercard granted Wirex a principal membership. I'm really excited, finally they made it for cryptocurrency.

Any one here with Crypterium card in the pocket? Interested in both editions, Upay and Visa.
But... Isn’t Wirex offering the same cryptocurrency services on their app? I have not used Wirex before, I tried to make use of it once and after installing their app they started requesting for my ID, I wasn’t ready to give my ID to them, because I didn’t have the particular ID they requested, so I wasn’t able to finish up the process.

I had to uninstall their application. But I know very well that you can accept Bitcoin using the Wirex card. You can receive lots of currencies using Wirex. I don’t know about this Crypterium, but I will check it later.
1476  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It's ok if your profits are less on: July 20, 2020, 09:25:30 PM
One important thing to understand when trading is that you can't make profit all the time ..
The fact is this if you have this mindset you will surely understand that crypto trading isn't an easy job. The benefit that might you will gain will depend on your wise decision, but once you have failed, juts move on and accept the fact that trading isn't something you will get the correct prediction.

However, OP was very lucky and I would have the same decision if I saw that there is already my profit. Sometimes our greediness will kill our profits that might down. Be contented with what you have. Traders, bounty hunters, and investors should have this mindset.
Anyone who is not ready to have that kind of mentality will be the one that will make the most loss. Some people will buy a token and sell after a little increase and after they sold, they notice further increase and buy back that token which will eventually drop back and they will lose at last. So, what’s the need? And of course I do know that not everyone can be contented with their achievement, there will always be those that are greedy and the consequences that follows are there to teach others that tries to do thread the same path.
1477  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchange - No kyc - 100x leverage on: July 20, 2020, 08:50:22 PM
There are already lots of exchanges that has this same kind features, and I don’t even know this Primexbt. And moreover, for how long have you been using this exchange and for how long has it been around? How many people here knows about it? You’re even a newbie and you’re telling others what’s best for them. You can’t do that, you can only say what’s right for you and not for others.

I can use my friends as an example, we don’t make use of the same exchanges; some of them are making use of Binance and some are using Coinbase, Luno, and so many other exchanges. And they all have their reasons. Some of them choose exchanges based on security, and some go by fees, and others go for better interface.
1478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you sure crypto is the future currency? on: July 20, 2020, 04:21:05 PM
I think it will still be the future, maybe not completely replacing traditional currencies, but many newcomers to cryptocurrency in the future are not out of curiosity anymore. Instead, they come to cryptocurrency to be able to play a game, using a decentralized social network or, make a living with crypto.
Yes agree but in my opinion, crypto must the too broad classification and all cryptocurrencies cannot be the future but bitcoin must be the definite one among them. In the near future itself, bitcoin is going to be the mainstream of payment processor as all the service providers and vendors are going to accept bitcoin as one of their payment option. Lightning network will help them to eliminate the problem of waiting for confirmations.

When more people are preferring to have a problem free payment system then I believe all the vendors will get enforced to adopt that payment system. This is what exactly going to happen for bitcoin payment system in near future. How many people are adopting bitcoin in between time and how many people are demanding payment option for bitcoin are the key deciding factors here to push the bitcoin as universal payment method.
1479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounties managed by team themselves on: July 20, 2020, 03:39:27 PM
Honestly I'm not ready to believe into any bounty program which is run by the team itself. Because, almost all the time I am joining into any bounty only because of reputed manager from this forum. I remember there are bounty programs which are run by some third party organisation (I'm sorry I could not recall their name right away), I just ignored all of them as they were not under a known manager from this forum. When you are depending on managers for choosing the right bounty program, I guess it is not at all making any sense to join the bounty programs which are managed by their team themselves.

I guess when they are promising about BTC/ETH payments on weekly basis and then engaging escrow for the bounty program then I believe that will be no problem for anyone to get into the bounty programs which is managed by team or newbie Grin. When you are asking about something impossible, then I need to state what is possible for everyone.
1480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Back then and Now, lesson learnt on: July 20, 2020, 03:17:51 PM
Engaging in crypto mining with the expectation of momentary benefits will always end up in big disappointments; no exceptions. If you have backup for covering the running costs along with making yourself available by providing all expenses for your living then you can escape by engaging in crypto mining. This is the reason in current times, only the people who are able to do mining process at industry level are able to make profits in long run.

Please note even with the industry level of mining process, you cannot see profits on daily manner. You must wait and hold all your mining rewards so that you could sell them at the right prices to get yourself affordable for mining expenses. It is really a complicated thing when considering your day job. You must need to dedicate all your time for this so that you can sustain for long run.
