Vanitygen works great. But I've noticed BTC addresses can also start with 3. The current version of Vanitygen won't allow me to generate patterns starting with 3. Will this be added to a future version maybe? Or are there technical limitations that make this impossible to do?
Because an address starting with "3" is actually used for Pay To Script Hash (P2SH). This is normally used on multi-sig wallets, that require signatures from multiple private keys to spend the coins. Multi-signature, also called multi-sig, is a security protocol that is part of the bitcoin core in which multiple private keys are required to sign a transaction. The technology is designed to increase the security of bitcoin storage. It is a technology that allows the generation of a bitcoin address that requires more than one private key and can require a specific combination of private keys (for example 3 out of 5 keys) to sign a bitcoin transaction before the coins are released. https://support.xapo.com/what-is-multi-signatureWith Vanitygen you can only generate addresses starting with "1", that only require one private key to spend (the one generated by the software).

hi i want to use your escrow can you guide how to start?
Maybe you should try to read the thread?
|
|
|
Is this the same as the wallet address?
Yes. Your wallet address is your Bitcoin address. (in case you are talking about a Bitcoin wallet and not an altcoin one)
|
|
|
Could you post which coin is that?
It's what they said. The coin's dev must update the source code of the wallet and send to yobit so they can rehabilitate the deposits/withdraws. If the coin isn't dead, you should contact the dev team and forward them this message.

but the system might be a bit.... Complicated. Let's see how people manage to use it ^^
Not complicated at all. Try yourself and you will see how fast and simple it is to use them. Send the coins -> Mix the way you want -> Withdraw the private keys -> Spend

Hey.
I have a few questions about your service.
1 - Can we use our own Adobe account for the products or you will give us an premade account (e.g: One with an .edu email)? 2 - You said it doesn't require torrents or illegal software license breaks. Does that mean that there is no way to lose our license after some time? 3 - Is this lifetime?

Haha that is a low ammount , someone maybe wrong the address and thats is , you should be happy for that ammount of btc haha :d
lol it's only 0.0000001btc, maybe that person just testing his wallet and sent the bitcoin randomly.
Not likely. From the transaction you can see that he sent 0.00000001 to 750 different addresses. Maybe trying to spam the block/mempool? I'm not sure if that's how this works. Edit: This is the address doing that "1SochiWwFFySPjQoi2biVftXn8NRPCSQC". And that's not the first time he does that. Check the address on any explorer and see for yourself the amount of transactions with +700 outputs. I also found quotations to this same addresses from 2014 where this person was doing the same thing Thread from 2014:https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=459845.0;all

Of course there is. You can go to the first "Accounts" tab and click on the key symbol on the top right corner. From there you can create a new HD wallet or go to "Advanced" at the bottom of the page where you can import an old wallet or and hardware wallet.

I have an "affiliate address" used for receiving a small percentage from new sign ups, does this address automatically receive any coins that are sent to it? pretty much a similar question on a "refund address" should a transaction not go through this is where the refund would be sent too.....
Do i need to do anything?
You don't have to do anything. When they send the amount to your address, you will always get the money as soon as the transaction confirms in the network. You can re-use the same address multiple times and the coins will always be on the same wallet you control. I didn't really understand the second question. I've just deposited 0.011 of coins from where i bought them from and had to fill in the details in the "receive tab" so wondering about the 2 questions above if you know what I mean?
Those details don't really mean anything. All you need to share is the Bitcoin Address. also, do you pay a fee for receiving coins in Electrum as when i click on "details" i see a small few that has been paid? 0.000374
The user sending the transactions is the one paying the fees. For example, someone wants to send you 0.05 BTC with a fee of 0.001, they will pay 0.051 from their balance and you will receive 0.05 Bitcoins. p.s after you've bought coins and sent them to "Electrum" do you have to leave it running until the coins are delivered or can you slow it down and open it up later and the coins will be deposited?
No. You don't have to keep it open. You will always be able to receive payments and your coins will show up when you open the wallet again.

It's probably because trade volume is not available via api/any other means. not sure why should they add in markets tab.
Looking at their API Documentation, looks like you are right: This gets the market info (pair, rate, limit, minimum limit, miner fee) url: shapeshift.io/marketinfo/[pair] method: GET [pair] (OPTIONAL) is any valid coin pair such as btc_ltc or ltc_btc. The pair is not required and if not specified will return an array of all market infos. Success Output: { "pair" : "btc_ltc", "rate" : 130.12345678, "limit" : 1.2345, "min" : 0.02621232, "minerFee" : 0.0001 } Source: https://info.shapeshift.io/#api-103

Isn't ShapeShift only using third party exchanges for their trades and only acting as an intermediary? Why can't you just use coinmarketcap or look for the coin at any other exchange individually?

So do you only have those shit games on stock or there is any rare chance of winning any premium games? I already recognized almost every game from the list toodamntired posted above and some of them they were distributed for free in the past.
I could buy some of them anyway just to level up the "Game collecting" badge on Steam or to get some cards on my alt account.

I believe that most of those exchanges have a bank account to send and receive payments in USD and they process all payments manually. This means that the hacker that finds an exploit on the exchange will only be able to drain the coins stored in the exchange wallet.
Anyway, don't store your coins in any exchange if you want to be 100% safe.

This has already been happening for some time when you try to see the trust of those who have a lot of feedbacks or pages with too many data to load. I managed to see your trust once, but after refreshing I got the same error. The same issue reported by minerjones a few days ago: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1996349.0

Google Authenticator doesn't backup or share anything outside the app itself. So if you never made a backup of the app, they are lost forever.
I personally always copy the QR Code or the digits of the 2FA code before enabling them, and backup them on a encrypted file on the cloud. That way I can always recover my 2FA in case I lose access to my phone.
If you never did anything like this, maybe you should contact the support of every website to see if any of them offer you any way of reseting your 2FA. Most of them unfortunally don't...

You should really try to lower your fees. You need to give your users a reason to use your service since fees are higher than any other service, and you are not trusted enought considering your website is brand new. Maybe only 1% in the first phase of your website?
For example, selly.gg already offers only 2.5% on larger Bitcoin transactions, supports BTC, Dash, LTC and ETH as payment, and it's already trusted in the market. This makes people prefer their service than yours.

I use Mac. Pretty much what I need to do is to import my Exodus' private key (which I've already exported) into Electrum only to sign a message, because with Exodus is not possible to sign messages. But I never did something like this, so I'm trying to understand how to do it without messing up.
So in this case I should create or restore (which one?) a new wallet in Electrum in order to use Exodus' private key?
First, if you don't know how to export your private-key from Exodus: http://support.exodus.io/knowledge_base/topics/how-can-i-view-my-private-keys-1Go to Electrum -> New Wallet -> Standard Wallet -> Use public or private keys -> Put your private key there and click next. Now you can just sign your message. You can keep using your wallet on Exodus or use both softwares.

Are all the wallets (or most) available on GitHub as well?
Most of them are, and they should be. In the world of cryptocurrency, no one can trust a closed source software. Especially if it's a new software from an unknown and recently created coin/team. Make sure to always be safe!

I don't think there is any list. But probably there isn't anything you could do besides researching a little bit before download files from any website. e.g: You want to download the Namecoin Core wallet. From coinmarketcap you can see that their official website is https://www.namecoin.org/Now, if you want to be 100%, there is a lot of stuff you can search to make sure that's the official website. - find their official thread on BitcoinTalk, and check if there is any indications that this their real website. - find their official social medias - if any - (twitter, reddit, facebook...), and do your own check there. - make a thread here asking for confirmation on the official url. Besides, I don't think any fake website would do so much work to make sure someone falls for them. Most of the time, users only get scammed and fall for phising because they click on any link they find and download files/insert passwords without even doing a simple google search.

Jaxx also has Shapeshift integrated in their wallet. Now they have two companies to choose from. Good news but when will Jaxx do an upgrade to secure their wallets? Theres an exploit out there that can decrypt your seed in case you didnt know.
Jaxx CTO already publicly said that they don't really care about this security issue because someone would need access to your device to steal the seed. And they "expect users to maintain control of their devices". Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/jaxx/comments/6gfl4d/easy_extraction_of_the_jaxx_12word_wallet_backup/diq8cs2/My main concern is if they will be able to succefully implement Changelly without any critical bug. Because I remember some time ago when they implemented Shapeshift, and you could end up losing your coins because of Jaxx requesting your new coins to the wrong address.
