1481  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] Sell your EMPTY ETH Wallet! ($5-10/address) on: November 11, 2023, 04:53:46 AM
I wonder, who is so ignorant and dumb to waste their money on something as stupid as a token which gives out "free" tokens for empty addresses as an airdrop? Oh yeah, those who benefit from such ponzi scams. Something similar happened to Bitcoin, where they got "free airdrop" in a matter of hours, like BCH etc.

Well, UNI airdrop wasn't given to empty addresses, it was only for those wallets which interacted with uniswap with at least one trade of $20 worth. It's free money for those who interacted with it, what's wrong about it? People are free to buy or not to.

Uniswap is dex, UNI is governance token of it, what's ponzi about it?

1483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 11, 2023, 01:43:18 AM
^ we have seen some huge cricket surprises this year. First the world cup champs West Indies couldn't qualify for world cup and then this news regarding Sri Lanka. Also, England performance in this world cup counts too, they have big names in their squad but yet team performed so poorly.
1484  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] Sell your EMPTY ETH Wallet! ($5-10/address) on: November 11, 2023, 12:38:52 AM
He just want to claim that free UniSwap tokens for you ... sell him your wallet used for uniswap trading and he will claim free 400 uniswap tokens ... It's that simple.
How much do they pay for those garbage tokens these days?

Did you just call UNI token garbage? Those tokens were like 19k at one time, at current price $2k.

You could have searched it yourself instead of this ignorant remark.

Those selling or giving out their Private keys for a share should also note that there are possibilities that those wallets might be used futuristically for other subsequent testnet versions of projects that'll be worth fortunes just like uniswap was back in its time.

Don't be in a haste to sell what might fetch you diamond tomorrow, this space never seizes to surprise people with unexpected possibilities

I mean original owner will still have private key, it's only be about who keeps updated with space, and who's faster to claim.
1485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Solana hit $40 this year? on: November 11, 2023, 12:25:43 AM
Solana is rallying high, it's like super car that's cutting through the chase in current market. I expected it to rise but not this sharply. It's almost 3x already in just about a month and bulls are just getting started. I think we might see it cross it's previous ath this time.
1486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and misinformation on: November 11, 2023, 12:18:13 AM
That's quite true, there is lot of misinformation about btc, even when myself learned about it for the first time, I thought it's some illegal thing, but I guess eventually one learns what reality is.
1487  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [List] Instant exchanges on: November 11, 2023, 12:02:10 AM
I was looking to trade btc to optimism usdc the other day, the prices I was given on simpleswap/stealthex/fixedfloat (these are my go tos) were significantly lower than amount I was exchanging. So, I looked for other platforms, and came across sideshift, the amount I received was about $1 less than amount I exchanged.

They were quick to confirm my deposit, barely took a minute, however they waited until it got enough confirmations to send me op usdc.

1489  Economy / Economics / Re: Being rich = not looking at price tag on: November 10, 2023, 02:18:41 PM
I will always check the price & I don’t think that will ever change. I mean sure, I won’t be panicking about my future prospects when it dumps from 300k per coin to 100k or something in the future but I will always check the price regardless of how wealthy I am. I probably check the price 20 or 30 tikes a day at the moment & even more than that during peak bull & then peak bear markets.

BTW, does anyone find it annoying that stadium dj keeps playing hindi songs despite Indian team not playing?
99.99% of spectators are Desis and Afghanis so Bollywood songs make more sense.

I wasn't talking about particularly this match, we hear desi songs in all matches.

Why not you apply for the DJ position and suggest here before you apply what song you would want to play? The common sense here is that they are not playing for international audience.

I was under the impression that DJs play songs for teams playing and not only for spectators.

Afghanistan makes 244, unfortunately Hazmat couldn't make century and stayed not-out at 97. They managed to score good total despite having a poor start.

SA is having to bat second, let's see how they do  Grin
1493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ICC WORLD CUP 2023 DISCUSSION THREAD! on: November 10, 2023, 12:12:16 PM
Undoubtedly, just as Afghanistan is playing with the reality against South Africa today, Pakistan will have to play with the reality against England that they will not be able to qualify for the semi-finals in any way.

They have got hope, especially if they get to bat first, I really hope they do get to bat first. Zaman, Babar, Rizwan, Iftikar — 400+ target is entirely possible.

- Always calculate your loss before profit: when you trade with what you can afford to lose, it is near impossible for your emotions not to be in check.

This is true, whenever I traded with amounts that I was not willing to use, I was emotional about the trade, and was constantly looking at it , and those shivers if pnl was in minus  Grin

Meanwhile,

whenever I open trade with amount I could afford to lose, those trades stay open for long. For example, just yesterday I closed my ethereum position which was open for more than 6 months.
1495  Economy / Economics / Being rich = not looking at price tag on: November 10, 2023, 10:30:22 AM
I often read people saying they want to earn enough money so they don't have to look at price tag of product. Imo, even if you are rich you wouldn't want to spend money on things that are not worthy of price being paid.

You wanna look at product and then it's price, if it's worthy of price, you purchase the product.
1496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if some country decides to pay pension to working population in bitcoin ? on: November 10, 2023, 09:02:46 AM
In developed countries there are people who are well versed into crypto jargon, we have several old members here on this forum as well. In developing countries meanwhile I do not think this is possible as most are not familiar with mobile/internet in first place, using Bitcoin comes later.

So latter is excluded completely, while former, those countries are still deliberating on proper regulations despite population into it, so until regulations are place, it's no too. Without proper regulation, they won't do something like paying pension with BTC anyway.

Personally tho, crypto requires good security practices, there are few places where Bitcoin accepted, to sell Bitcoin for fiat, taking care of transaction fees at the times like right now — honestly it feels so unnecessary right now.
1497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ICC WORLD CUP 2023 DISCUSSION THREAD! on: November 10, 2023, 05:26:09 AM
^ Still it'll be interesting game if Pakistan wins the toss, they will go aggressive from the start (like Zaman against NZ) and if it works out well we might see 400+ target, looking at England's current form, they just might win.

One of few times, I'll be excited who wins the toss.
Pakistan need one more win before winning the match against England and that win is to win the toss although winning the toss is totally depends on luck still Pakistani fans will definitely want Pakistan to win the toss today against England. Winning the toss will make it very easy for Pakistan to qualify for the semi finals but not at all but Pakistan will have a chance. We saw Pakistan batting aggressively against New Zealand, if Pakistan can bat aggressively after winning the toss against England and bowl England out within 150 runs with a target of 400 plus runs then Pakistan will have a chance to go to the semi finals. Equations are as simple as reality for us but as difficult, first win the toss then batting very aggressively and there may be many things in between which we are not mentioning now but Pakistan will play a good match against England today for sure.

Bruh today we have SA vs Afghanistan
1498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin to LN BTC without conversion on: November 10, 2023, 05:04:47 AM
Suppose, a wallet has 1 BTC then he'd be having 1 BTC on original network and 1 BTC on Lightning network as well. When user spends from either, balance will be deducted simultaneously from both networks, so original amount remains same. No conversion involved.

This should avoid congestion as people will use LN as it has cents fee.

What do you think? Any good?

1499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Angry at the high fees? That's what everyone predicted the future will be like! on: November 10, 2023, 04:58:24 AM
Yeah well, such fees will be stopping new people from getting into/using BTC as well, who want to pay $10 fees for a transaction? Lightning isn't widely adopted yet and not all exchanges support it, some like Binance recently added it's support but they require kyc.

High fees help with security and help miners feed their families is not worthy argument, imo.
1500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not perfect, and that's okay. on: November 10, 2023, 04:43:28 AM
Oh I thought it'd more like Bitcoin transaction fee stuff/scaling issues.

Democracy and capitalism are not perfect, but we all want them. Why? Why don't we ditch democracy and practice a perfect system instead?

If there was better system than what is available right now, then certainly it'd have been implemented. What I believe is, human being himself is by nature imperfect, so his discoveries can't be perfect.
