1481  Other / Meta / Re: Is this user banned? activity is not correct on: June 07, 2015, 08:13:03 AM
how someone can have 287 activity? it should be either 280 or 294 or so on

You can easily have an activity score which is not a multiple of 14.  Recall that activity is based on a series of 14 days periods in which you have posted at least once then:

max(post-count, active-periods*14)

For people who have post count > than active-periods*14, their activity is always a multiple of 14.  But for people who's post count < active-periods*14, their activity is their post count, which obviously doesn't have to be a multiple of 14.

I hope this helps.

Good job getting around gov't censorship!

The only thing I can think after reading your post is that I'm shocked that you're still running windows 3.1 and windows XP machines.  Why not switch to GNU/Linux?---it runs great on old hardware and you can actually get several nice features of a modern OS.
1483  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Quick Question about bitcoin on: June 07, 2015, 08:00:12 AM
What do you mean when you ask "what industry"?  You say you're designing a logo for your company but you don't know what your company does?  Or, you just don't know how to describe it properly?  I'm not sure your question belongs in "technical discussion", but perhaps if you elaborate a bit, you could get an answer or two.

If I had to answer your question as it stands, I guess I'd say something like "crypto-currency services".  But it seems weird that you need to ask for that, so perhaps I don't understand your question.
1484  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.035 BTC weekly for YOUR SIGNATURE *New rules on: June 07, 2015, 07:45:47 AM
I changed my signature with no issues the same day my membership status changed, but your results may vary.

Should I change my signature to the Senior one now or wait until monday?

In this campaign, it doesn't really matter because they pay all ranks equally.  You should probably just use the signature which you find most beautiful.
1485  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: June 07, 2015, 07:38:46 AM
Also, sorry I keep asking, but you guys haven't said anythinga bout it yet: when can we at least get a loging to the website so that we can stake our account names from sealswithclubs and our krill?

I agree that being able to at least create an account or recover your old one would be a nice feature.  Even if that's all it did and you didn't have access to anything else in your account it would be helpful.

Not only helpful for us who want to stake our old account, but also for the swc folks.  They'd be able to see in real terms just how many old players are still waiting around to join back in simply because of the windows-only problem.  I'd think that data would be valuable for them.
1486  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dragon's Tale - a Massively Multiplayer Online RPG/Casino on: June 06, 2015, 10:27:55 PM
Its obvious what is wrong with dragons tale.

You do not have enough people. You can not distribute losses evenly or correctly. You rape the few people that play there because of low numbers. You have a population problem that needs to be fixed. Talking about anything else is a distraction. The DT thing needs to be dropped. You have a few mentors taking all of the students, Students dont want to stay when a game rapes them. Lets not all be dummys and focus on the real problem.

Teppy, you must increase population numbers in a big way, substantially. If you do not, its really looking like you are keeping numbers low on purpose. If this is the case "you" are the problem. not the mentors who have spent substantial amounts of btc to get to a level that your in game population cant support.

MMO's do not have 40 people or less, neither do casinos.

To everybody else, reading and brainstorming. Lets drop the issue that DT needs to be changed at all. It is distracting us from the only problem, Low numbers and terrible marketing. The herbs and soldiers were already nuked causing even more population loss. Lets not ruin DT as well.

I was sad to notice that soldiers on islands other than the governed islands don't even get refilled anymore.  Last I checked all the soliders on Xinren Tang and Xinren were empty.  I agree that leaving the soldiers empty makes the game seem a little abandoned.

This has probably already been asked but I can't seem to figure out how to search this specific thread.  Anyway, I finally went out and bought a cheap PC so I can play SWC again.  Are there any poker trackers that work with swc?  I know the swc software is still a big work in progress but thought maybe there was something that would work.

On a side note, I really like the swc software client and can't wait for the android and browser clients so we can get a lot more people on here.  I imagine that a lot of people these days dont have a regular PC and are hesitant about buying one just for swc.  I'm happy I did though.  Glad to be back on SWC!

Thanks in advance for any help.

Amazing that you bought a PC just to play SWC.  Comeone with the clients, swc, not everyone can go this far?

Also, sorry I keep asking, but you guys haven't said anythinga bout it yet: when can we at least get a loging to the website so that we can stake our account names from sealswithclubs and our krill?

[snip]
1) Allow bitcointalk.org users to migrate and retain their rank and usernames , but only for legit accounts that aren't trolls/shills
[snip]
Are there any other things that I should consider?
I think that (1) is going to be problematic, deciding who is/isn't a troll/shill is a huge matter of debate and it's not clear who should make the final decision in a "user-run, user-owned" forum that you describe.  If you don't want to be the new theymos (ie, a benevolent dictator), you'll have to have some unimpeachable empirically verifiable criteria for deciding things like this.  I suspect that this slippery-slope is one of the main reasons that the current forum staff allow what they do allow---they don't see how to get in the middle of this stuff and make decisions based on criteria that are enumerable and easy to evaluate.

There's a similar slippery-slope with signature ads (your point (4)), do you disallow all signature advertizing (then people can't even promote their own personal website or service) or only paid-advertizing (then how do you tell who's getting paid and how much---it's easy to arrange things privately)?

Just my 2 satoshis.  I think your inspiration is good, but I don't see the implementation working (yet).
1490  Other / Meta / Re: Who is the little bitch who added that POS Quickseller to default trust again? on: June 05, 2015, 04:04:20 PM
And now when he knows he is wrong he will also divert the topic and wont reply you straight. He just wants everyone to accept what he says as "truth".
He is just a troll and needs to be ignored.

He did the same thing when he was on the warpath against me.  Brought up unsubstantiated (and false) allegations, then tried to change the subject when his own motivation was called into question.  The good thing is that his M.O. is well known by almost everyone at this point, and he won't be back on default trust until he learns to calm himself.  He's a lot like an ambitious, amateur cop who wants to make it to the top by arresting everyone in site.  He doesn't have any sympathy for anyone other than himself.  So while it's true that he catches a scammer in action from time to time, he also steamrollls a huge number of innocent people with no remorse.  If he ever realizes this, he could do the forum a lot of good.  Until he realizes this, he causes more harm than good.
1491  Economy / Gambling / Re: DaDice.com - Next Generation Social Gambling Dice Experience on: June 05, 2015, 03:52:45 PM
Why would you keep switching between QuickSellet and AcctSeller?

It's called sockpuppetry---classic technique in internet trolling.  The more interesting question is how many others of the haters in this thread are QS and whether or not he funded this attack himself.

What a joke this site is. Every week something surfaces that makes it even more sketchy than before.

As long as they keep on paying their sig participants, all is good.  Cool

seriously man.. you don't need to make them look shady coz the neg rep is enough to warn people here.. you're just wasting energy
As long as they keep funding the escrow address for their signature campaign their shills (and people who are willing to whore out their signature for a scam site) will be able to continue advertising for them.

I cannot imagine why anyone would think it would be no big deal that an attacker can run arbitrary JS on their customers' computers.

I think it is pretty funny that a total of .008 BTC was stolen from their hot wallet though  Cheesy

Everyone in this thread needs to make sure you know that ACCTseller is the trolling alt of Quickseller.  He uses it to troll when he doesn't want to draw attention to his main account.  He used to try to keep it a secret, but it's been publically admitted (even by him).  Just for everyone's informatino.

Guess what guys, a hot-wallet is a hot-wallet.  It gets used for withdrawals.  Are you really going to take the word of a guy who's been in this thread trolling non-stop for days that a hot wallet was "hacked" just because he publishes a bitcoin address and shows a chart. It's not like he's an impartial observer, he's been spreading FUD for days now and for all we know he's getting paid by folks like Quickseller to do so.

Non-insanse people here are going to wait a while to see what the devs say about this.  Geez the drama on this forum has really become over-the-top.
There have been multiple reports from people getting random HS popups. This has even been confirmed by DaDice that someone had hacked their chat.

Can you say with a straight face that you would have no problem trusting a site with large amounts of money to gamble with when a random person is able to execute arbitrary JS on your computer via their site?

I can say with a straight-face that you are trolling this thread now with an alt in order to avoid drawing even more negative attention to your main account.  I can say with a straight face that saying things like this:

Quote
I think it is pretty funny that a total of .008 BTC was stolen from their hot wallet though  Cheesy

Is clearly trolling.

I can say with a straight face that I wouldn't be surprised if you hired someone to execute this attack given your penchant for vendettas, your reputation for trickery and your lust for power and hatred of those who have crossed you.

I still suggest, like the others, that Maidak will pay you.  I did some work for him back in the day and I did the work first and then he paid me.  Was quite a nice guy and has been running a business in the bitcoin world for a long time.

The OP seems like a crazy dude typing FUCK YOU FUCK YOU again and again just because things are late.  It's not so cool to blow your top like that.

It's almost certain that Maidak will show up and explain this, but you can't expect everything to happen in 1/2 second.  Just my 2 satoshis on this one.

People change. Just look at TradeFortress, Projects and a few others.

If this was one time, okay but there have been several complaints from different members. If what DjVoodo says is true, fact here is Maidak is still trading while owing others. This is very untrustworthy, not sure how you can see it different.

Maidak owed DjVoodo. Stops responding to him. Maidak accepts bitcoin from shdvb and tells him he'll have payment within an hour, disappears afterwards only to come up with a new excuse. Do you not see anything wrong here, or are you just here to troll / disagree with Quickseller?  Cheesy Let's not make this another Quickseller thread.

Not here to disagree or troll. Just thought it was relevant to add that I've had a good experience with Maidak and that's about all I really can add (of relevance).  I'm not saying it's right to delay or cetera, but 450$ is a good amount of money and I believe (I may be wrong) that Maidak will make this right.

Anyway I nominate myself.

^^^The man has no shame.  He was crying inside, waiting as pages and pages of this thread and no one nominated him, finally, he couldn't take it, "I nominate myself", he says!

I really don't see the point of this thread when most of the members, if not all except legendster of course, in the poll are already on the default trust list.

I don't think there was a real point.  In the end, it was a confusing thread which perhaps showed us (once again) how weird this whole trust thing is.  The main thing I took away from this thread is how little the common user knows about the trust system and how people get on default trust (or how they get off default trust, in Quicktemper's case)---just look at how many times in this thread someone had to be told "hey, this poll isn't serious, it's not actually how things work".
1498  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Did Quickseller or marcotheminer frame ndnhc? If not, who did? on: June 04, 2015, 10:02:58 PM
okay, so if the rep have been removed, op just close the thread since everythings resolved?

It's not resolved because we still don't know who perpetrated this nonsense.  In my opinion, it's unlikely we will ever know, but just to be clear, the issues in the OP are not resolved.

Suddenly, Out comes this dolt by the handle "BitcoinDistributor"
Who said that some of my 'jokes' were "sexiest". Now being the grammar Nazi that I am; I simply pointed out his spelling error with a hilarious response. Here's that part of the conversation :

[snip]

This is meant to be lighthearted: True grammar nazis don't confuse grammar errors with spelling/orthography errors!

Cheers!

But on your topic, bitcointdistributor already shows up has having a trust of -32 (and that's on my view, with many default-trusters removed).  So you don't really have to worry about "painting him red" (he's already red) or anyone taking him seriously.
1500  Other / Meta / Re: Nominate (insert name here) to the default trust list on: June 04, 2015, 04:45:59 PM
Here I am just telling BitcoinDistributor to correct his spelling mistake and he simply decides to take a dump at my trust score stating that I have agreed to do business with him.

This just goes to show how ineffective the trust system really is. Yes I am aware that there is no way for 'Bitcointalk' the forum to track trades/transactions, in that case I'd say its time for bitcointalk to EVOLVE beyond 'just a forum'.

But seriously, until something radical happens, is there anything I can do to 'delete' this fake trust from that idiot ? NO. I'll have to live with that.

Dedicated thread for this issue.

Nope, I've got fake trust from a couple of idiots on mine.  One from a scammer about 2 years ago.  The other QUICKSELLER and his alt just a few months ago echoing what the scammer said.  Unfortunately, there's nothing to be done but let it be.
