1481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are we ever going to see this on gambling platforms some day. on: December 19, 2022, 09:01:37 PM
Yes, official listed matches should remain coming from tournaments because they are official and officiated by the brands and organizers which makes it genuine.

Although there could be some players that may try to cheat but it's very minimal and isolated.

But if it's just the PVP thing and they'll organize it inside their casino and platform, that might even put stain to their reputation if some cheats and tricks being done.
I am sure casino will do their job in preventing cheats during pvp matches.  There is third-party software is installed in online games to prevent players from cheating and casino can make use of that.

Besides, I believe the pvp match is recorded and that seeds can be used to detect abnormalities of the game.  This is kinda challenging but I believe casinos can deliver a fair PVP gambling fight if they wanted to.
They will really do something to prevent cheats but if it's outside their scope and it's coming from the participants, they might have hard time detecting it.

But I'm sure that there will be some tools that they can use to hep them detect if there's unusual activity while playing on an official listed match.
1482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I want to sell pi network mainnet on: December 19, 2022, 11:40:07 AM
where can I make an offer to exchange tokens that are not yet listed?? with fiat or bitcoin?? for sale and purchase, is it possible here? Or board other?
P2P is the only way and the boards were mentioned by jawhead. But sad to say that there's no exchange on it that it is listed.

And that means that there's likely no one that would like to take that offer. I've seen the same post of people wanting to dump their mined pi coins on the marketplace(altcoins) and it seems that no one has taken those deals.

Well, you can also try at least.
1483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 9 yrs ago today a legendary word was born !! on: December 19, 2022, 09:22:13 AM
Happy 9th anniversary HODLERS.

Thanks to gamekyuubi for inventing that word that's been widely used until today and will surely be used forever. Even in the stocks, I'm seeing people using the term.

That's a vast usage now and indeed what a word that just came from a drunk man that has given his emotional sentiment.

This is valid.

Casinos that will setup a PvP version of betting, there's a lot of work to be done. One can setup as what darkangel said or we can easily call it a bot.

It happens in most games and when there's money involved, many are too desperate to do that. There are tournaments that are covered by some bookies and that's the only thing that they rely on listing.
And that's also why imo it should stay as tournaments. Just the fact that games have a hundred bunch of loopholes that would require a lot of testing and checking if it was actually a "legit" play or not is enough to say how PVP betting would never work on skill-based games. If you were familiar with the Minecraft speedrunner scene, you can see an example where one dude who dominated the leaderboards was recently found out to be cheating, in what, after like a few years or so. It's not your usual games, but it's enough to show how games can and will have those loopholes that players will take advantage of.

Heck, even MMOs have a bunch of bots farming just to sell gold to in-game players, what more when betting is introduced.

1485  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can we suffer at some exchange due to some of their services' breach? on: December 18, 2022, 10:05:46 PM
Aside from being affected with users fund, what's more worrisome are those information that has been obatained by the hackers.

They have it permanently and can access or sell it to the dark market or any company that has interest on those information.

That is why if it includes our email, we are receiving unwanted emails and phishing email attempts.
This hacked information would be used to hack or attack the accounts of customers. Sometimes most exchanges would keep information about an attack on their platform secret because they don't want to lose clients' trust and confidence. Meanwhile, the best they would have done was to notify customers so that they can change their passwords or carry out other security measures. The best option remains that we should only put funds that we can afford to lose in exchange and personal information should to a large extent remain private.
That is for sure, when they've been attacked and there's a breach, there's the chance that they don't really want to inform their community and users because that will create a ruckus.

And that's what they don't want to happen and now with Binance, they've seen how wise people are these days. There will be a huge outflow of withdrawals whenever there's a bad news about an existing exchange.
1486  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's hard to trust any crypto CEO this days on: December 18, 2022, 09:13:30 PM
Newbies it is time to put an end to all Centralised finance in crypto space and shift your attention to Dex, they always have their hidden agendas, keep your crypto assets off the hands of any CeFi platforms, these people are the ones dragging crypto success back.
Even if you tell it hardly and nonstoply to them, many will still use centralized exchanges because it's more convenient and that's what is like a tradition for most.

It's true that never trust a CEO even if he seems to be a bullish crypto folk because not everything you see is true on the web. If it's about keeping assets, it's been so true that never keep it to any c-exchange.

I can tell you why it won't happen. The answer is macros.

With mortal kombat the most difficult combinations are almost impossible to stop but you need to be good at pressing buttons in a sequence. Sometimes a very long sequence like 6 buttons in a row and if you mess up one you won't do anything.

When you play from home it's easy to set up macros on your keyboard and have all the best moves executed with 1 button. That's why all serious game tournaments are live so they see you play.

1489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Go-to casino on: December 16, 2022, 01:32:30 PM
Hi guys, just interested what are your casino's of choice? Or just general online sites?
And what are your go-to games?
You'll get the suggestion of everyone in here based on our bias and that's why it's just better for you to check each of the threads here in the Gambling section.

Start with your preference and what are the games that you like. If you're asking so that you can also have the preference of others, that's ok.

And for the games that I'm betting, usually they're sportsbetting, the esports and a bit of actual sports.
1490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is that guy still rummaging the dump? on: December 16, 2022, 11:52:53 AM
Do you guys remember that guy who well before btc had its first highs threw away a hard-disk with btc which became worth millions and he went to rummage the landfill looking for it and also offered a slice of btc to the city council if it helped him find it?

Is he still looking for it?  Roll Eyes    Cheesy   Cheesy
I remember him and he had made headlines several months ago and yes, he's still looking for it. Why are you asking for it? Do you have some idea on how he shall find it?

Years has passed and it's almost impossible that he'll ever find it. Even if he offer good money for it, there will be the slightest chance that he'll look at it.

He asked the city council to close that landfill just to start the search for it but they didn't agree AFAIK.
1491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is your local game includes in online casino ? on: December 15, 2022, 10:37:25 PM
I have that game remembered on my old nokia phone named bantumi, right?

With these local games, I don't think that a casino will add them up unless there's really the demand on it, otherwise the casino won't be spending bucks just to add it.

Even if the casino wants to have it but there's no already made game for it, they wouldn't have it unless they also hire a developer to make that specific game.
1492  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 99% of People Will Lose Crypto in Self Custody on: December 15, 2022, 09:43:25 PM
He make sense and we've been telling people that it's best to keep their crypto assets to a non custodial wallet, wherein they have the full control of their funds.

He said that personally after knowing that people are withdrawing and sending it to another exchange after the Binance FUD has been spread. Well, we need more CEO that are honest but not only when they're attacked.
1493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think ive throw money away on: December 15, 2022, 08:50:45 PM
I've seen the same query before but with other exchanges and there are some that they didn't get helped from the exchange itself and said, there's nothing they can't do with it.

But most of those, I've seen that they've got some help from them and told that they will never do it again if they do the same mistake.
That's not 100% OP's fault. He didn't know if the network on huobi was on maintenance. Huobi's support must help him as it's their customer money.

OP, you were got FUD about binance, why you should worry about the FUD? If binance gone, almost all crypto will gone as well.
I saw some of those that were blamed by the exchange but still helped them.

But if that's his decision about being too affected by Binance's FUD, it's a normal reaction to get on it because you'll never know if that FUD is going to be for real or not.

Well, it seems that the team of huobi has been responsive and that's why it's a good thing OP still has a chance of claiming it.
1494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: December 14, 2022, 04:10:36 AM
Tier 3 tournament is a waste of time and money to bet. The participants statistics is not reliable because most of the team joined on this tournament is not that consistent in terms with their.

I usually skip this tournament and focus on other category with ongoing high tier tournament. Much better to bet on Tier 2 tournament with some steady teams.
I also avoid betting in those type of tournaments because you know that 322 there is common. Valve or the organizer of it will have hard time in noticing it as if they're just going to make it look like a natural cause of comeback.

But, as tier 3 tournaments, it's better to get hands off them because you will never know if the players and teams there are doing some magic. So, you just watch and think of the authentic matches there or else you already have that feeling when you see some signs of red flag like fix matches.

Many have thought that he won't be arrested when he's walking freely going into conventions and had those talking engagements.

And he's even got the nerve to refuse a hearing that he's caused for the role he's got for the falling of FTX. Well, he deserved it and each and everyone that has been part of it.

Maybe Caroline is going to be next? The girl had played with futures with not just a joke amount but billions worth.

You have to contact the Huobi support.

If you're unaware that the deposit for USDT(BSC) on Huobi is suspended then just tell the support that you haven't seen it yet. It could take time until they will manage to get back to you.

But that's all you need to do and to ask for help from the Huobi's support.

this is the best option right now, let the huobi's support know about your deposit problem. just straight to the point that you haven't checked the current situation of the USDT (BSC) in their platform. because if you won't notify them about your situation, they may not take care of your situation. there's still a chance to recover as once they resume the tx for this network, they will still receive your funds.
I've seen the same query before but with other exchanges and there are some that they didn't get helped from the exchange itself and said, there's nothing they can't do with it.

But most of those, I've seen that they've got some help from them and told that they will never do it again if they do the same mistake.

Yes, they are the only ones that would really be able to help out  since they do hold off those funds since it was been deposited on the chain which isnt supposed to be BSC.
I dont know if they would be allowing some retrieval of those mistake deposits or would really be just saying that those funds are gone(hopefully not).
This is why its really important that you should really be that making out some checking before making some pressing that withdrawal button.
Make everything to be fine before proceeding so that you wont really be ending up on having a headache like this.
They might help him, but I have no idea their policies towards this type of mistake being done.

^^
I don't get why are you guys comparing trading to gombling!
Some may say that because the inpredictability of price movements you can bet on whether the price will go up or down. That's not correct because tokens/coins prices do not move based on luck, like on gambling.
Besides, gambling is supposed to be an entertaining activity while trading is more of a business or investment.
There's an unending comparison of gambling and trading, one of the reasons is risk and they just can't get hold of it because they think that it's necessary to compare them.

But it's true, gambling is a way to get entertained and either win or loss as long as you get the essence of having fun and that's it.

While in trading, it's entirely different, you'll have no other mindset there but to win your trades or else learn and repeat.
1498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Digital Platforms should accept Bitcoin - Makes more sense on: December 13, 2022, 09:39:54 PM
It's because they're not yet ready for it and they don't like it yet. As for Google, they're aware of bitcoin and they've been always open to things related to technology.

But they probably think that they just can't allow a decentralized crypto as a payment method to their creators. I think the idea is really good and just give them an option to get paid along with the other payment methods.

I think the companies are yet not ready maybe because it is not accepted all over and using it may be limiting customer to what mode of payment that they want to use but last year PayPal list some cryptocurrency to use in the platform. I think it is gradual for the use to be popular and every platform will like to use bitcoin.
They're also aware of its volatility and tat's why they just can't accept it if their business is pegged to the daily operations and accepts payment through fiat's value.

That's why it will take time for them but that's okay. Because eventually, they'll see the increase in the number of adoption and more people will be in bitcoin. It will be their consideration why they'll start accepting it soon.

Did I just throw away 200$ ?

I made a grave mistake today and it was because of binance news, I went online and saw a tweet on Twitter about how danger is lurking around the Binance exchange right now and I was told to move whatever funds I have on Binance out.

I did this, I sent 200$ from Binance to Huobi exchange because I want to buy a coin that was available only on Huobi anyways but I sent USDT to the BSC chain on Huobi which unfortunately was suspended.

Now I tracked the Bsc address on Huobi the USDT was moved, is there any chance of getting my money back or it's a gone.
You have to contact the Huobi support.

That's good for the customers of paxful that they've got a CEO that's responsible and teaching his customers what's the best thing for them to do and where they should keep their money.

Well, they're a service and that's what he's probably thinking about.

He's not that selfish at all unlike all other exchanges that are proclaiming that they're a safe exchange and everyone can keep their money there 'safely'.
