1501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 29, 2023, 05:22:52 AM
The Warriors are currently losing. What is the best decision to make at this point, the moneyline or the handicap?

It appears that their struggles from the previous game have carried over, as they seem to be experiencing a hangover effect. However, given that they are the defending champions, there is hope that they will sort out their issues in the second half. As an alternative, I am considering placing a bet on the Warriors in the third quarter, as they have a tendency to perform well during this period, especially when they are down at the end of the first half.

Regardless of the type of betting line used, the Warriors emerged victorious. Despite being down by as much as 17 points, they made a comeback in the second half and defeated the Pelicans by 11 points. The Warriors put on an impressive performance, with standout players such as JP and Curry, and particularly Draymond Green, who demonstrated his exceptional defensive skills. In the second half, the Warriors displayed their characteristic strength and dominance, reminding everyone why they are considered one of the top teams in the league.

I was fortunate enough to win both the handicap and moneyline bets, and even a special bet where I wagered on the Warriors winning by 11 or more points, which had odds of 10.00 in my bookie. Although the amount I placed wasn't significant, I'm thrilled to have earned a decent profit today.

1503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking advice needed on: March 28, 2023, 09:54:27 PM
^
I'm sure it depends on which token you are going to stake. Buying them from where the price is way low is a good way to invest while also staking the tokens. And also choosing which token to invest in terms of how or where they're going to be stake.

Some tokens can just be staked within the wallets while some need a platform.  If it's the latter, that's where you have the problem when it comes to the unlocking period. Tokens that can be staked within the wallets are much easier to handle as tokens stays in your wallet.

One common problem with staking is the lock-in period that they have set, we can't withdraw and sell them if it was needed as we need until it was available. That is why we should have to think carefully because if that staking only gives us a few percentages, I don't think we have to do that. Besides, we can make some good play while it was on our hands like doing basic trading as it is possible that we can earn more than doing staking. Staking seems effective unless we are committed that we will hold long-term while waiting for the bull season.
1504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: March 28, 2023, 03:56:27 AM
I'm picking Josh Taylor to win by KO/TKO. I believe that Teofimo just got lucky when he beat Lomachenko because he was exposed against Kambosos. So, I trust a consistent champion who has not experienced a defeat yet. This might be a difficult fight for Taylor, but I think he will end up winning by KO since we also know how aggressive Teofimo is. He'll taste his own medicine in the end.
1505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: March 28, 2023, 02:41:00 AM
And let's say that both Moloney and Donaire will win on their respective campaigns to be a champion. Fate will make their paths cross again and I think that's inevitable considering that they are both champions in the same weight class.

If Donaire wins against Santiago and got the WBC bantamweight title, and Moloney wins the other title, unless there is a chance of unifying all belts, I do not think Moloney will dare to challenge Donaire for their title unification.  Moloney had already chickened out, unless 2 or 3 years had passed, he will not dare to challenge Donaire.  I agree that Moloney is just waiting for Donaire to become old, before fighting him.  I bet Moloney had learned this strategy from Mayweather.  Waiting for their opponent to be out of their prime age or being too old before fighting them.

So how long he would be waiting it out before he would consider about having that unification? There's no way if things turns out to be mandatory if ever he would be able to get that title.
It is indeed that Moloney had already chickened out and there's no way that he would be pushing on going against with Donaire again but speaking about age then i dont think that
Nonito would really be retiring anytime soon basing up on his body condition which he could still pull up some trigger and could still face off strong boxers despite even
if he's out of his prime.

We never know how long because they have not become champions yet. Maybe we have to wait for that to happen first before we discuss the possibility of an unification fight. If Donaire wins and Moloney wins their respective fights, then maybe promoters will be interested in making the fight happen. It could be considered a big fight, which means it will generate a lot of money.

Even if I have bought some bitcoin a few days after the launch day, there is a 99% chances that I would have sold the Bitcoin, the enemies of holding Bitcoin for a newbie is

1. Market manipulators
2. My own psychology

...
It all affects our minds and decision-making. Why? With a lack of knowledge and market experience, it comes to the point that we are too reliant on these experts, social media influencers, and FUDs. We usually make decisions wrong because our emotions derive from what we heard around and on the internet. It is a mistake and we all commit mistakes but this is also a learning lesson that we get from that situation. We sometimes think that was the end of our crypto journey but the truth is that it was just the beginning. No Pain No Gain...
1507  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will you advice a new trader to join a trading community or group? on: March 27, 2023, 09:47:13 PM
The issue is that even if you join most of these communities, it won't change the fact that it is risky to be new and join a trading community without any experience. It's also important to consider the security of protecting your assets because most of these communities could be scams and you could become their victim. However, once you have some experience, you can, in my experience, distinguish between scams to some extent. as for me knowledge first, and I would not advise a new trader to go into trading without basics.
Joining communities is also a way to familiarize trading and a sort of learning tool. Of course, we can't expect that everything we wanted to learn will come from them, not these people knowing the fact that some of these members might be scammers. That is why we should still not rely on them, they can be useful for other things but not enough to give trust to anyone in this group. We can learn some things from them somehow but we also have to work hard personally.
1508  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin continue to rise on: March 26, 2023, 09:42:37 PM
We always want to see bullishness in Bitcoin but in reality it is impossible. A bullish market essentially generates strength from a bearish one. So the bearish has to adapt to the bullish. Otherwise it will not be possible to get anything as expected from crypto. Current price of bitcoin is $27900 and market condition is good. In such situation the market can turn bullish at any time.
It can be turned bullish at any time and might also commence corrections. We'd see the price of Bitcoin is quite moving high this month and we are expecting more in the incoming days. We are looking forward to seeing Bitcoin surpass $30k next month and we believe that this year is a year for recovery. As I recall in the previous years before halving, the situation is likely the same. The demand build up before halving and prices went high - this is such a thing that leaves us the confidence that despite the days, weeks, and months being bearish, we'd still see the light after.
1509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Circulating supply matters to you? on: March 26, 2023, 05:47:52 PM
What is the fair percentage of a total max supply that are in circulation that can make you invest in a project? It is fine to avoid a project that has low circulating supply? Why? What about if the project is a brand new project and the use case is killing it?
We should have not invested in projects blindly but rather put into consideration that circulating supply is a big factor that would influence the future of a particular project. We have noticed that a small circulating supply dominates the market increase than those projects that have a huge supply. Well, the thing is that even though it generates huge demand it only gives a small impact on its price. Now, if we think about long-term investment, we can't expect that our invested money will grow fast but rather expect a few increments of it.
1510  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price is looking positive green on: March 25, 2023, 09:30:08 PM
History shows that bitcoin will only reach ATH after the halving, which happens every 4 years. Meanwhile, the most recent ATH is in 2021, meaning there is still a long way to go for history to repeat itself. History can change, and the unexpected can happen at any time, but besides expecting an optimistic scenario, we should also plan for a bad one. If it happens, we can handle it in time, otherwise, it will be very expensive. Bear season 2022, I have achieved a lot of my goals, but I know a lot of people who have lost, I even lost everything because they were not prepared when the bears came.
Many people have also said throughout 2019 and 2020 that history might change and bitcoin will never score ATH again after the halving. But the opposite happened, bitcoin scored 3x higher ATH than its previous ATH in 2017.

The same can be expected after the next halving although some people are inclined to be pessimistic. What you need to think about is, bitcoin is an asset that is very likely to record fantastic history in the future so you always have optimism about the future. Without ignoring the risks, but I'm sure we will have new ATH in the future.
People have been driven too much confidence that Bitcoin will reach another ATH in the next halving. Well, I would say that it was possible in the situation where we can see growing crypto adoptions. This is the reason why we are very strong and believe that the market won't get back to the situation like before but seeing it improving much. In fact, every bull season Bitcoin breaks its record and it keeps on rising unpredictably. The positivity had come out based on its performance and we are expecting a new ATH this coming bull run.
1511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETH the King of Altcoins ? on: March 24, 2023, 01:46:34 PM
I also thinks about Ethereum that it's the king of all altcoins because of its popularity and usecases but when I see that you have to pay a huge transection fees for a little fund or toke transfer then I just feel disappointed. But still now I think it's the king of all altcoins but there is no surity to remain same in future.
Then you have to realize that not the fees that make ETH down but the use-case of the said project that makes people believe and think about the better future of this coin despite the market competition. As we can see, a lot of projects are similar to ETH, and so many platforms but fortunately, ETH is able to sustain itself and win the competition. Huge fees really don't matter because what most important is that we are investing in the right project, a project that is really can be trusted, and the project created plays a big role in the market development.
1512  Economy / Economics / Re: Replacement? on: March 24, 2023, 12:38:59 PM
I have been seeing the progress of cryptocurrency these past few years, and I've been thinking, will it definitely be a replacement for physical money and use crypto as a primary transactions in our everyday life?
I think it will not become or replacement for fiat, even we will using it right now but still there is a lot of people who still wanted to use fiat than cryptocurrency and there are also people who don't know about it specially to those who are very old they don't even know it for sure, we still don't know what happen in the future so i think there is a little chances in the future generation.

In the future it is sure that it will be cashless and for sure if it is not cryptocurrency then it should be derive from it.  There are still a lot of reason that it is not possible for us to replace fiat with this that is why we treat it as another form of payment which we use to purchase and it is cashless. I dont why still people insisting to replace fiat with this as the cryptocurrency was not created to replace anything it is just for us to be our own banks. transact online and have an investment on it
It is probably we fully adopt digitalization which could eliminate paper money to a fully cashless system and you are right, it can't be just only cryptocurrency as credit/debit cards can do as well. But it takes many years to impose because as to know that people still need to educate and also it was a big challenge in the place where internet is not avaliable or there is intermitent connections as this only function well if we have stable connections.
1513  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think BTC would rise again? on: March 24, 2023, 12:08:10 PM

I have never doubted the performance of bitcoin as the best investment so far.
I can say that bitcoin is still better than gold in an investment context, we know that.

We are bitcoin investors, so we need to have faith in bitcoin as it will bring us profit. But I will be realistic, without exaggerating things, I cannot agree with you that bitcoin is better than gold. When comparing the two, we need to bring out the pros and cons, we cannot say that bitcoin is better than gold without proof. Regarding returns, bitcoin is more profitable than gold, but when it comes to investment legitimacy and safety, bitcoin can't be compared to gold. Both are good investments, and each person will have their own choice, it cannot be said that a bitcoin investor is a visionary and a gold investor is a shallow one.
They are indeed good investments and it matters now to us investors which one we choose. For me, it was not a question of which one is better and more profitable because this also depends on the investor's strategy and of course, the price we bought them and the price that we sell them. It is somehow we can compare the two, there is no need to do that either. It is our preferred to which one we think we are comfortable with and to choice the kind of investment that we reallt trust the most, not because someone told us nor they showed huge profit.
1514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 24, 2023, 10:55:18 AM
Good road win by the Warriors, Luka did play but there's no Kyrie. The game was really close, Steph though shows another part of his game, when he dishes out 13 assists together with 20 points. But it was Kuminga play's and Poole's razzle dazzle drive that kept the Warriors on this game.

So they are still in the 6th spot, but that position might change depending on the games of the Clippers (now without Paul George), or the Suns if they are going to struggle in the last games of the regular season.
Because they were playing in their home city, I believed Dallas could win the match and close it over the veteran Warriors team. If Dallas had won, they would have been in sixth place, and the Warriors ought to have been in ninth place. Today, the Trailblazers informed their fans that, following their victory over the Jazz, they will also be competing for a spot. That victory brought an end to the six consecutive defeats of the Trailblazers. For the teams that are unsure to advance to the next round, the remaining matches already resemble the playoffs to them.

Yes, but the Warriors won so that is enough for a 6th spot right now, and again, there are teams mentioned that are into log jam, all vying for that spot in the playoff. So the Warriors for now has a good chance, although it's going to be tough going against one of the best team in the East with a good big men in Joel Embiid tomorrow. Although there are reports that Harden and Embiid is questionable. And if this is the case then the Warriors will have a better chance securing a win in their home court again.

I think the Warriors will win via blowout tomorrow because the spread is -5. With the spread, it's likely that Embiid or maybe Harden will not play. It's not necessary for the 76ers to win games as they are already in the playoffs, unless they want to ensure who they will face in the first round.
1515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | Unified WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | May 7 on: March 24, 2023, 10:31:37 AM
Maybe I'm not clear, Casimero still has his chance to fight Inoue only if he won the fight against Butler. But the Butler fight didn't happen because of the weight issues on Casimero. So if he just make the weight on the scheduled first fight and win, maybe we have seen the Casimero vs Inoue already. However, even in the rescheduled fight, he still missed the weight or was caught still trying to lose weight in sauna by the BBBoC, hence the fight with Butler was cancelled and he was replaced by another Filipino who lost to Butler. And so the Butler vs Inoue happen, and if by chance Casimero made the weight in the second fight, he should be the one facing Inoue. So still boils down to Casimero not making the said weight that deter the fight happening between him and Inoue.

That was supposed to be the best undisputed fight if Casimero had been able to meet the weigh-in requirements. I think his team was unaware that they were violating the rules, so it's not that he didn't make the weight requirement - he was disqualified, which gave Butler the opportunity to get the belt against a weaker opponent.

However, we all witnessed the kind of quality Butler has as a boxer. He is not on the level of Inoue and Casimero yet.
1516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the biggest problem you think AI can fix in gambling on: March 24, 2023, 07:24:31 AM
Prediction is the most necessary things for a gambler in gambling. But it is not possible to get any reliable suggestion from this AI in that regard. But if I can use AI to research or check information and data then it will be able to give me reliable information in less time. In this regard a gambler has to spend a lot of time and putting all the factors together is very complicated to get a result manually. So AI can give maximum advantage to a gambler in all these aspects.
AI can help both parties but as we know that AI is not perfectly made for this - to detect faults or violations with the casino players. Cheaters will find ways to skip this situation and using AI might be detected, so they'll use another technology. These frauds and cheating can't be stopped no matter what these casino owners do. And the only they can do is become vigilant in all activities that players have been in because not all become successful with their plan and so do these AIs.

Death, what do u think is gonna happened?
That's too harsh mate, but I see it as well. They are one os those thousands of shitcoins that just only become life when there is someone playing it and it eventually just dies then when it ends.
Quote
Make one single green and then downtrend until the ground while all-people already cannot sell anymore due there is not enough liquidity or volume trading anymore. It's only using HYPE & Name Dog Only.

No-use case at all.
This is the reason why I was skeptical of these projects. Though I was amazed at Shiba Inu before but can't neglect the part that it was a no-use case which is really worrying when drops come as it was pretty hard to recover or the worst it will die.
If we look for investment, we better make choose of potential coins that already have an overwhelming performance and are continuing to grow despite the bear condition.
1518  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think Bitcoin can end poverty? In a nation today on: March 23, 2023, 10:08:23 PM
Investing in Bitcoin is just an opportunity that could help to improve our living and yes, it could create an impact on the economic system of the country. But honestly, this is not enough to end poverty in a particular country, not even in the locality because whether we like it or not, not all have the interest to invest, and many rejected this opportunity. Those who see the benefits and profit that they get from Bitcoin will certainly have the courage to take risks while others just leave and ignore it.
I don't think it's aimed at alleviating poverty, but the existence of bitcoin can provide opportunities for people to get out of poverty, including me, at least after knowing that bitcoin can help the family's economy, by doing bounty hunting, trading and investing. although sometimes I don't get money every month, but when there is bullish I will sell it and divide my money for several purposes, starting from other business capital, personal enjoyment, and preparing to invest again after the bearish occurs
It is a good insight about Bitcoin but mate, never underestimate the market nor overly think that everything that you wanted will happen too easily. As you can see, a lot of people have tried investing in Bitcoin but not all were able to manage to stay, and they are losing. And we are not even sure if this will might happen to you especially if you are out of control of your emotion and are impatient. Generally, this is just an opportunity, and not all who take this end up being successful because some people had become also a loser.
1519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin loan for students in higher institution. on: March 23, 2023, 09:44:24 PM
There is a board that discusses loans for any reason but the question if your request will be granted and I feel it was hard especially if you can't give collateral. If I were you OP, I'd rather make your loan intention to the place where you come from maybe you will get it. Because in here, you can't really be sure that lenders can give you that, honestly. However, you can try it though, at least you know the results of your application and the reason if it might be denied.
1520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 23, 2023, 11:55:20 AM
Moving on to the Magnolia vs. Meralco game, both teams have put up a good fight so far, and the game has been characterized by its physicality. While Magnolia is favored to win, I believe that Meralco has a chance to pull off an upset if they maintain their solid defense in the second half.

Based on what I see on the screen, the matchup between Meralco Boltz and Magnolia looks exciting as either team could win. The Meralco Boltz have a twice-to-beat advantage, so Magnolia needs to win this game if they want to advance to the exciting part of the matchup.

The game is currently in a run, with Magnolia leading by double digits and now it's back to a single-digit lead.

All this while i thought that this is a series, i mean this matchup between Magnolia and Meralco is a best-of-three series.

With 1 minute left in the game and Magnolia leading by 7 points (96-89), this is money in the bag for Magnolia and we will be seeing a game 2 on Friday. Too many offensive rebounds for Magnolia when the score was tied 88-all which proved to be costly for the Bolts but can't blame them anyway as Hester is a monster rebounder.

edit:
Wow, Aaron Black has sent this game into overtime and now the Bolts have the chance to oust the Hotshots tonight.

Things changed after that OT. I'm sure Magnolia is regretting the outcome of the game. They could have won, but due to their careless execution, Meralco was able to come back and even bring the game into OT. AB had a big shot, and in the OT, Meralco was the one who was willing to eliminate Magnolia.
