1521  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is blockchain.info illegal? on: September 05, 2012, 01:26:29 PM
Blockchain.info, aside from being a great tool and web wallet, offers and advertises a coin mixer service - or to put it in plain English, a money laundering service. Under what jurisdiction is money laundering legal??

bitcoins are no money so they cannot be laundered.
1522  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Bitcoin Block explorer & Currency Statistics on: September 05, 2012, 12:44:46 PM

Someone suggested an app store type system where developers can write their own javascript apps. I really like this idea but it has big security implications, so for now if any developers want their game/app included please just PM me.

i would really love to have an appstore
to reduce security risks you could use an iframe with an sub-domain. but i understand your fear Wink

btw i think you could just take some btc to develop frontend for other services. since you started your satoshidice integration i used them more often (and always through your interface) - so i think they owe you a little.

Roman recently had traveled or moved possibly out of the country (London ?).

The address is USPS PO Box. Roman went for the conference to london?

Pardon me for adding this, but why is it that the last three major hacks involve the words genjix and conference? Just an observation that may, or may not, have relevance.

1525  Economy / Securities / Re: (GLBSE) TYGRR.BOND-P 4.85% weekly uninsured pass though bond to BTCST on: September 04, 2012, 02:11:23 PM

I'm in London for the month so will be hitting up the FSA to register GLBSE if they'll let me, I don't believe they will.

any progress?

Im not long after arriving, and my laptop was DOA so had to get another one and restore my backup, which has taken some time. So no update on this and I don't think there will be until sometime next week.
Any possibility of negative ramifications and the like arising from this? I imagine they'll hit you with AML requirements for a start...

thats the question: do they consider btc money or not Wink

yeah i have a backup but dont know how to run it/apply it.

please dont apply it right now.

but i still think the problem is that you never owned that address.

if you go to your mtgox account to the add funds page. which bitcoin address does it show there?

there is now way to find the owner of a bitcoin address. you just have to remember. sorry.
1530  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BITCOIN TECHNICIANS PLEASE HELP!!!! URGENT" on: September 03, 2012, 01:29:08 PM
UPDATE:

Bit chain fully updated and still not BTC in wallet Sad bitcoin techteam please help me here.. these people are saying that my bitcoin is showin up somewhere 1FtWDqjyiuPVzh3tabdb7XoWnVX6gVEg1M but i dont have that in my recieve wallet address list or anything, and i need that btc badly!!

Literally need bad and read all the procedures and have had several successful transactions.. so please advise on how to resolve gettin my cash back Sad (btc)

you need to find out whom this address belongs to.

it SEEMS to be your mtgox deposit address (if thats the case you should contact mtgox support again: i dont know what mtgox does if you withdraw money from mtgox to mtgox)

have you backed up your wallet.dat and restored it recently? if thats the case it COULD be thats its your address (but then its lost...)
1531  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Black Pearl Investments - 15% Weekly Interest. Enough booty for everybody! on: August 31, 2012, 09:45:49 AM
For the record. This started a joke and I didn't expect it to escalate this far but people actually sent me Bitcoins (the first honest thing I have said in this whole thread).

I have refunded all bitcoins to those that "opened an account".

how much bitcoins did you get?
1532  Economy / Securities / Re: S.DICE - Want SatoshiDICE dividends? IPO currently in progress. on: August 31, 2012, 08:52:32 AM
can any of you shed some light on the probability of SD getting shut down? could such a service run effectively on TOR?

no need for tor
he could just copy his html page in a forum post.

all satoshidice need to function is a way to show you their bitcoin address.

Amir is too busy doing youtube interviews to be bothered with doing the right thing for all the Bitcoinica customers.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dPAAM_5Dkg

Patrick is too busy threatening me over the lawsuit to be bothered to do the right thing and actually avoid the lawsuit in the process.

[18:31:12] <phantomcircuit> ......, suggest to him strongly to drop the suit
[18:31:23] <phantomcircuit> he's going to regret it more than anything he's ever done in his entire life
[18:32:11] <phantomcircuit> that's a promise

Lol @ Patrick's threat.  Doesn't he know that that could land him in even more trouble?

he still thinks he is an unbeatable genius who deserves respect
1534  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Closed on: August 30, 2012, 12:44:46 PM

too late , as the first of us will have sent their accounts information directly to pirate........

as pirateat has no way to proof if they have really that amount invested i dont see this as a problem (consider that bitcoinmax allowed address changes too its not verifyable at all).

i'd still prefer that we have some kind of checkbox @bitcoinmax.com to decide if we want to share our data with pirateat or not.

i want pirate to have my data.
1535  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Closed on: August 30, 2012, 12:04:46 PM
As i see it, but unluckily can´t verify cause bitcoinmax is down.....

bitcoinmax.com is not down

Can I still bet that pirate will pay out 100% by the year 2072?

including interest?
1537  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Closed on: August 30, 2012, 07:20:36 AM
I admit asking ppt owners to supply details is rather odd. But the situation we have here is pirateat40 has all depositors by the balls. That's the unfortunate truth. If we want see any coins again we have to dance to his tune, however unpleasent it may be.

That is correct, with the qualification that he has only those on his leash who still irrationally believe to get any money back. Needless to say, nobody will see a penny.

Legally, if somebody has a contract with payb.tc or with anybody else, nobody outside that contract has any right to demand anything. The only sensible procedure is that your contract is fulfilled and the other contract, for example between payb.tc and the pirate, is none of your business.

The pirate is playing his cards well. What he really wanted is to confuse you so much that you fail to notice this next delay tactic. It seems to be working incredibly well. The pirate is certainly not underestimating the boundless stupidity of humans. Could hardly stop shaking my head when I read this thread up to here.

On top of that he gets data that he would not otherwise be able to obtain. I can only guess what he wants it for, but it certainly smells very fishy.

--
The two most prevalent elements in the universe are hydrogen and stupidity, but not necessarily in that order.

my guess is:

pirateat asked for that information to let all ppt owners think that he would only pay out principal.

as (most) of the ppt-owners have old accounts their principal is not very big compaired to their gained interest -> that makes them fear that if they disclose this information they get only a very small cut.

which results in what we see now: ppt-account holders try to convince ppt-owners to tell their info to pirate - and they dont want to. which basically means he could blame the ppt-owners now why it takes longer.

it just seems to be a "buy-time" tactic. and another good thing for him: many people thinks ppt-owners are scammers. with a little fud not all the dirt is thrown at him.
1538  Economy / Securities / Re: (GLBSE) TYGRR.BOND-P 4.85% weekly uninsured pass though bond to BTCST on: August 29, 2012, 02:20:45 PM
GLBSE is completely legal, I don't know what part of the world you're from, but here in the UK something has to be forbidden or outlawed to become illegal, everything that is not... is legal.

as a financial service provider who offer his services to the public you need to be registered.

you can make a small club and offer glbse there - would be completly legal.

(i dont really care if you do or dont, i just was amused that you said you wont disclouse this data because of the law)
1539  Economy / Securities / Re: (GLBSE) TYGRR.BOND-P 4.85% weekly uninsured pass though bond to BTCST on: August 29, 2012, 01:51:32 PM
Seriously, do you really think that Pirate gives a shit whether you will help your own customers to prove that they own the PPT bonds? Smiley
If you don't prove it - he will just keep the money waiting... and the people will come after you, not after him.

So if you think that the attitude of "no - we won't say who owns the bonds!" is going to do any good for you, then you must be even more stupid than I had thought.

Tell pirate to go speak to the EU then, because the data protection act (1998) is the implementation of an EU wide directive, all EU countries must enact legislation that implements the directive.

So I can't by law give out shareholders details, and I believe the US has something similar. What pirate asking for is illegal.
Stupid excuse.
The EU law was not a problem whatsoever, while you were running illegal IPOs.
And now you are suddenly so much about the EU law?
Give me a break Smiley

You could have solved in many different ways - without breaking any privacy laws.
The problem is not a law - the problem is that you are a cheeky bastard.
And you are going to face the consequences.

+1
(but i still dont like the way you write...a little more friendliness would suit you)
1540  Economy / Securities / Re: (GLBSE) TYGRR.BOND-P 4.85% weekly uninsured pass though bond to BTCST on: August 29, 2012, 01:15:46 PM
Thanks for not giving any information both of you Smiley

Well neither of us want to and lucky for us, neither of us can. I just dont have it at all (by design), and Nefario cant give it up by law...

is glbse finally a registered company in uk?
last time i've read sth about it he said it isnt.
