localbitcoins.com is likewise easy to use and can be used for a direct cash to bitcoin exchanges.

CRYPTSY PHS WITHDRAWALS ARE PAUSED, I DUNNO ABOUT DEPOSITS

I consider the 2nd to be not some forum post typo, but a clear indication of the author's posture that private citizens should have a means of violent resistance to provide strategic pressures offsetting the power that the Federal government may amass if they abuse it sufficiently.  And I believe that the 2nd remains valid to this day on that basis.

If you want to say that by not supporting people who brandish weapons in support of Bundy's illegal theft from the public is somehow not supporting the 2nd, go ahead.  It's a stupid argument.

My argument here is based on my own interpretation of your previous posts and nothing more. I'm not arguing for the validity of the Second Amendment; I'm insinuating that you're being hypocritical and unfair in your generalizations.

I suggest ignore. tvbcof's positions are so bizarre they don't make a lick of sense to a rational mind. When you point out the inconsistencies of his positions in clear terms a 10yr old could understand, he just ignores you and moves on to the next nonsensical rant. The bulk of his posts are little more than redneck bashing and unjustifiably arrogant judgmental rubbish. If there are any paid disrupters in this thread, he's it. If he's not being paid to post in this thread then he needs to seek counseling.

You guys have got to be kidding with this party affiliation nonsense. There's not a lick of genuine difference between dems and reps. We change congressional majority, nothing changes, we change cabinets and executives and nothing changes. Shrub jr(r)(allegedly a conservative) runs up massive debts and invades numerous countries on false pretenses, signs the (un)patriot act. I thought these guys were fiscal conservatives?

Barry(d) a liberal then continues to run up more debt and continue the same unjustifiable wars. Civil rights...isn't that supposed to be a cornerstone of the jackass party? What happened to closing gitmo then? NDAA, patriot act, PPACA?

We've also seen a couple more liberals run as republicans. Did anyone ever actually think there'd be a president mccain or a president willard? WHY? HOW? Who do they represent? The population centers in this nation vote welfare liberal. The vast majority of the real estate is controlled by conservatives. Those people have no representation.

The whole thing is a sham, open your eyes. The reps used to be the party of limited accountable government. Remember when they used to talk about ending the department of brainwashing education? I saw ONE guy with an (r) after his name actually talking about genuine conservative values and Dr. Paul was attacked more viciously by the fake republicans than by the dems.

We've been sold out guys...both parties are the same and they represent collectivism, global warfare, crippling debt, seizure of civil liberties, and one world government. Stop with the "rah rah go team" crap. It doesn't matter which of the two fake parties are in power, we peasants will lose.

Hi!
Tell me please how things are with PHS withdraw from cryptsy? I did one at morning, but still it isn't in my wallet.
Cryptsy shows next trxID: ac2ddd40e8cc62de3422c3885e3dc494d75af20d2db426fdfa4010ea96a48c32

have the same Problem .. opened a ticket 2 days ago and still waiting

Maybe there is something wrong with blockchain?

The blockchain is fine. I can send phs between wallets instantly. Cryptsy PHS wallet is offline and has been for days.
1547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Overstock.com CEO interested in NXT asset exchange! on: May 04, 2014, 03:00:44 PM
Looks like it hit cryptsy on March 2 and is in a sustained downtrend ever since. There's not even any PoS available to partially make up some of those losses. An investor could have purchased HBN on the same day at 17.5k and have significant gains at this point PLUS lots of stake interest.
1548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Multi-currency Wallet for Windows 2014 on: May 04, 2014, 02:57:50 PM
my kaspersky also detected trojan

Its "coin miner" - false positive hit,all walets have coin miner to mine coins.

Sounds like something you should have mentioned in the OP.
1549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Overstock.com CEO interested in NXT asset exchange! on: May 04, 2014, 02:33:17 PM
Odd. I'm looking at a cryptsy chart now that indicates it began at 9000 on or near it's first day of trading and it's never gotten back to those levels. It was falling faster then it is currently prior to the small bump in March. Perhaps that's what you're referring to?
1550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Overstock.com CEO interested in NXT asset exchange! on: May 04, 2014, 01:25:33 PM
So you have losses on next to date and you've doubled down? Are you sure you're dumping the right coin?

I don't know about what he's dumping but he's certainly buying the right one. (At the right time).

On what do you base that assessment? All the stake he's going to get?(nope) The exchange rate has done nothing but fall, what's going to change that?
1551  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Armed Feds Prepare For Showdown With Nevada Cattle Rancher on: May 04, 2014, 01:12:50 PM
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean you're not surrounded by communists. In the US people think they're free, but they do not own their homes(they have warranty deeds), their children are sent to federally controlled education facilities, and they have no representation in government.

Everything is designed to give the illusion of freedom and choice, but when you get right down to it, there's very little of either.
1552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Overstock.com CEO interested in NXT asset exchange! on: May 04, 2014, 12:04:15 PM
It's very cheap right now. I have doubled my Nxt investment with profits from shitcoins

So you have losses on next to date and you've doubled down? Are you sure you're dumping the right coin?
1553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PHS][PoS] PhilosopherStone | PoS | No Premine | stuff | 1.5.1 on: May 04, 2014, 11:53:01 AM
imo PHS should stay as PoW/PoS - you are forking it too much. the coin is good as it is - people love this wallet. i see ZS coin also forked it for PoW.
instead of chaning to PoS we need more exchanges, games etc.

I believe you need to do some research. The coindev correctly pushed a hard fork to address a problem caused by a PoW attack which disabled PoS.

...now there's a sentence I never thought I would assemble.

Yep The PoS issue required a hardfork and fixed that issue.

I am looking at three possible solutions, the move to PoS only must happen or the current issue will become worse as the PoW reward halves again, just the timing is the question.  Raising PoW value really defeats the purpose of the PoS. a New algo is just wasting resources, IMO.

The current issue with PoW is multiple multipools hitting PHS at low difficulties resulting into orphans and in some cases forks. this can be remedied by users mining PHS on a constant basis. The argument to keep PoW sort of falls flat when we have very few actual miners (other then from multipools/high hashers).

The solution (not using a hardork) would be more users setting 24-7 PoW miners at
http://www.coinmine.pw/poolinfo.php?coinid=55

And setting up workers to only PHS.  Miners on PHS will benefit from PPLNS.

So I guess we can see if enough miners do this then we have a solution which will not require a hardfork now, but will likely be necessary before next halving (you may notice the issue began this halving).

I put cryptsy on hold in case we go with the hardfork, that way we don't have to set it weeks in advance. We can let miners mine PHS or not, if not it serves no purpose, I'm also tired of updating client daily, and want a long term solution, which is coded and at the end of testing.

short version:
Keep PoW? > Mine it
PoS Only? > Don't mine it

Looks like move to PoS only is the best way for PHS, IMHO.

+1 We need some stability.
1554  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How United are the States? on: May 04, 2014, 04:38:17 AM
US politics are even united. United under a single political party. That single political party pretends it's two parties that agree on every major issue and disagree on a few hot button social issues. This keeps Americans bickering with each other about trivial crap while their nation is stolen from them.

Case in point the posts above and below this one.

The clones have a bright future according to your arguments.  Cheesy

Heard about attack of the clones and all this allegedly advanced utility. I eventually get around to looking at each altcoin. The "bitcoin 2.0 super mega ultra deluxe new and improved" thing gets old. I don't need my cryptos to make my breakfast or provide me with hookers and blow contacts.

Hot off the presses from cryptsy support:

Quote
Hello solarion,

PHS wallet is offline waiting for a fix from the developers. Please know that your coins are safe, and PHS should be returning soon.
Sincerely,

1558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Overstock.com CEO interested in NXT asset exchange! on: May 04, 2014, 02:01:41 AM
I don't get the mindset that has accepted bitcoin isn't a pyramid scam, and can accept its high concentration of ownership amongst a few hundred people, but those same people KNOW that NXT must be a scam, and so isn't worth a risk at 2 cents.

The "...but bitcoin blah blah" argument is real thin. It's not 2009 anymore. Bitcoin is the center of the crypto universe and without it we wouldn't be discussing Next's poor distribution. I can't change the events of 2009, but I can make decisions about fledgling altcoins today. My opinion on Next is that it's a poor investment with little incentive to compel someone to swap their bitcoin for it.

Yeah, right...

We have a mac build, linux etc...
But we have no Windows guy here. If anybody is able to build a windows binary,
please get in touch with us...

Greets,

If you want I can do it

FaSan

You're a good egg FaSan. I've been running the Zeitcoin wallet you worked on since the day you released it and have had zero problems.

Cryptsy, for all its faults, has actually turned out to be the most reliable.

Please don't use cryptsy and reliable in the same sentence. Those guys can't keep their PHS wallet online for 2 days in a row.
