1543  Economy / Collectibles / Re: New Physical Bitcoin: AlitinMint.com New Release (Jeanne D' Arc) on: July 21, 2014, 10:49:21 AM
Beautiful coin! I really like the Jeanne D' Arc more than the Newton's mockup. Although, the premium is a bit high. The dull antique finish is rather unique, as most the physical coins out now have the shiny silver finishes. What mint made these coins?

I agree the premiums are high.  In fact the Adam Smith markup is double the Jeanne d Arc.  That's keeping me from buying the Adam Smith version.

Excellent reference.  I collect all the physicals, so I look forward to seeing your continued work.   Let me know if you need pics of any.

Truly amazing coins!

I just wanted to give a shout-out that I have just released a complete eBook guide on Casascius coins, that is yours for free at www.coinfirm.org

enjoy!

Awesome job.  If you havent already, you should give this its own dedicated post.  This could definitely be an official reference guide.

FYI...another user recently did a similar research.  You may wish to check out http://www.spotcoins.com/bitcoin/casascius and cross-check that you both came up with similar information.  One interesting thing is he found there were less than 700 Gold Silver 1 BTC coins made based on the addresses he found.

1548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Casascius series 2 vs. series 3 hologram - what's the difference? on: July 16, 2014, 08:31:26 PM
Thanks for the explanation.  I wonder if it could influence people's perspective of the rarity of that specific coin if there are fewer ones out there than initially thought.

Anyways, great job on your site.
1549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Casascius series 2 vs. series 3 hologram - what's the difference? on: July 16, 2014, 07:46:35 PM
Amazing and informative site.   Great job.

Just an FYI..some of the text appears to run over other text in my Safari Browser on a Mac.

I thought there were 700 instead of 483 of the 1.0 BTC Silver with Gold Trim.   It even mentions 700 on the detailed information.
1550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coins in the Kingdom: The Bitcoin Conference at the Walt Disney World Resort on: July 15, 2014, 10:34:28 PM
I may consider going.  I'd like to see what speakers and other events are lined up.  Will there be more details on the website?

1556  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Silver Wallets a new kind of physical storage for your bitcoin on: July 09, 2014, 02:41:39 AM
Received mine the other day, VERY fast shipping!!

I love the look and feel of the coin, the case is a plus I was not expecting!

The only two things I can say negatively are that the back of the coin looks too plain (once the sticker is on it does look better) and the sticker is not the same size as the circle on the back. I messed up when putting it on as I lined it up with the edge of the circle and by the time I realized they were different sizes it was too late. Otherwise very nice coin for the price!!

I'll second that regarding the back.  The front looks amazing, but IMHO, the back does not do it justice.  To me, I feel it seems too plain.

I thought ANACS was the only company people sent physical bitcoins to.  Didn't realize another company also accepts them.

Is their grading comparable to ANACS?  I never saw anything grade above a MS68 which was a Lealana on eBay.

Never realized that the poster looks similar to the cryptolator design with the bank crumbling and people running from it.  Hmmm
