1442  Economy / Auctions / Re: Official Auction For Our 2 Ounce Solid Gold (5 BTC) Coin #2 - Ends 30th November on: October 15, 2014, 09:26:20 PM
Nice coin but the premium is very high. 18 btc is like $7k but this coin is only 2 ounces of gold, which is $2500 plus 5btc.
Awesome design. very nice coin. But premium is too high.

The premium is definitely not high. It's about 3.15BTC per ounce of gold. Multiply that by 2, that's 6.3BTC. Then add 5BTC face value. 11.3BTC. Then there is the mould, the hologram, the box, mint costs and mark up. It's extremely reasonable.

I personally cant justify spending the premium.  If I wanted a gold coin, TitanBTC sells one at a $450 premium or so, less the box. The other costs are similar I believe.  Thats roughly 1 BTC at TitanBTC vs 7 BTC premium here.

It seems that maybe they've sold 3+ in total according to their website, so perhaps the market agrees.  Its a lot to begin with, but the premium doesn't help.

1445  Economy / Collectibles / Re: .999 FINE COPPER - 0.1 BITCOIN - CRYPTOLATOR PHYSICAL BITCOIN ★ on: October 14, 2014, 09:13:46 PM

I am pretty happy with the ones I received with roll 1. One thing, why not include a private key / hologram for the antique coins?

Really?   I'd like to know too if that's the case.

The two antique I also got from bitguy had their holograms.

Are the coins being sold with the rolls different and not have holograms?  I assumed the pics shown were just early ones before the holos were added.

Can I ask which coin numbers you have?

Both are the Antique #003.

The antique ones are going much much lower than I thought they would.  Not good for me  Embarrassed

Agreed.  The Cryptoimperator Silver Super Doges sold like hotcakes and were also a 25 edition.  Not sure why these arent generating the same interest.

Nice collection!

We will post tomorrow a new thread with Pics and ordering details for our Bitcoin series 1. If you like the design of them there will be a silver version Smiley

Silver...as in limited 25 edition Silver BTC?   I think the community will be up for that.  Count me down for one of those bad boys.   Grin

We are considering a bigger batch, as BTC is bigger than Doge.

In that case, may I suggest a 1/2 oz gold for a very limited run...hint...hint

1455  Economy / Auctions / Re: Official Auction For Our 2 Ounce Solid Silver (2 BTC) Coin #1 - Ends 30th Nov on: October 08, 2014, 08:59:43 PM
Really cool coin, but I think the premium is way too high on these 1.21 BTC for 2 ounces of silver...

This coin is so much more than the spot price of silver;

Production costs – including producing artwork for the tooling, making a mould and dies.
Unique hologram production – Including producing artwork and creating shims for the production.  The de-metallization process to make the clear window is also an extra cost
Handmade solid wood boxes – Our boxes are individually hand made from solid oak – Not Cheap!
Hallmarking – Each coin is individually hallmarked and the quality of the metal is tested on every single coin
Plaque & Coin laser engraving – Each box and coin is uniquely numbered
Booklet production – The booklet and COA that comes with each coin, comes at a cost
Free Worldwide shipping – P&P to any destination worldwide is also included in our price

If you take all that into consideration, you will discover our mark-up on the product is very modest.

Hope that helps!

Perhaps you could make the Wood boxes an add-on for additional cost, so those who are trying to save some money and dont need the box, may be able to save a little.  Just a thought.

I do think they add to the overall presentation, and should be included for the gold.

Cryptolator does something like this for their copper coin on their website, where several things are a la carte.
1456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Monero Physical Coins are Here! on: October 08, 2014, 07:57:48 PM
First little batch of physical Monero coins is ready. It's brass, silver plated. Pure silver coins should come later. Each coin has unique ID that can be binded at our site to Monero address of your choice. Site is not finished yet, we are currently testing and polishing it. But in general it's working as alpha version.

Here is the short video of the Coins:

Monero!

Any details like price or whether the coins can be funded?  I didn't notice holograms which are common on the back to cover private keys.
1457  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 🌟🌟🌟 [WTS] Casascius 0.1 Silver ANACS Graded - [Prices Lowered] 🌟🌟🌟 on: October 08, 2014, 06:29:41 PM
Must be a nice premium on the MS67? Haven't seen one myself just wondered if the smaller coins had better/worse chance of a higher grading. Seems like it doesn't matter really?

I'm not selling it (otherwise I wouldn't post this in BitHalo's thread) but I got me one o dem!
