5oz NastyFans Seat Token Update (20 available for preorder)
Here's the first look at our upcoming 5oz coins. Some people have talked to me about getting their orders in ASAP due to concerns about a falling Bitcoin price. Since I will not be placing the order until I have 20 of the coins preordered to help with costs, that leaves some of you watching as your saved bitcoin's value dwindles and me being hesitant to accept preorders as a volatile Bitcoin price could result in a disastrous scenario for preorders. Pricing of the coins has been set at $400 and the 5 seats will be free for all who preorder. If you do wish to preorder, I have been talked into accepting them as opposed to taking pledges, but it will come with some risk. I have opened a bitfinex.com account and am willing to accept your BTC and hold it in USD until the order is ready to be placed. This will allow those of you who want to spend your BTC now the ability to do so and it will allow me to begin taking a count of preorders so that fans can have a good idea of when the order will actually be placed. It does however put your funds at the risk of a 3rd party. If bitfinex goes through a mtgox type scenario while we are awaiting placing the order, I cannot accept responsibility. Please contact me if you are fine with that risk and want to preorder before the BTC price falls any further. For the rest of you, I will keep you updated when we get close to the 20 preordered coins so that you can order with BTC direct from me without any 3rd party risk at that time should you choose to do so.
As you can see, the increased size of a 5oz coin allowed for a new added design on the back (hologram superimposed for look). Another addition to this coin will be that it is being minted in proof-like quality. Due to this, the coins will ship to me individually packaged instead of in rolls, so they should be much more free from scratches.
Og, A few questions: Total coins minted? What is the approx diameter? Since the coin is likely very large, are you shipping these in some slab or airtite?

Ive accepted this offer. I emailed bithalo the bitcoin address to purchase. Thanks Charlie. Looking forward to it. Out of curiosity, any idea how many of these were made or might still exist as funded?

Are you selling these? I can't get maxfield to respond to me. I tried his email, his domain, and even his ebay auction. I placed my order with Kialara the first day. I wrote him several times with no response. I finally got mine in the other day. I would say he will most likely send out the outstanding orders, in the order of when they were placed, but he may be ignoring all emails. The bars are very unique and feel more like a work of art with all the layers of metalwork in the coin.

I am pleased to be able to share these pictures with you. This solid coin will be going into production and be available to pre-order from our website early next week. More information will be coming next week. Thank you to everyone that helped make this possible, we are extremely excited to be producing this stunning coin!
The coin looks amazing. Your website mentions other gold and silver Bitcoins as well. Will they have the same design?

Assuming its funded, I'll bid 1.5 BTC

Regarding the gold coin, we just got a quote from the mint.
It would go for ~1750$* 1/2 oz .999 fine gold. Presentation box, air-tite, certificate, engraving and 1 million doge included.
* Expecting confirmation of VAT exemption as per bullion gold, if not add a 21%
The fact that only 10 coins are made makes the price really high, but we think that is a good number.
Interested buyers, please PM us.
PM sent.

Backed by the sweat of the snow white model and the tears of mickey mouse ultra low payed employee
Difficult to reconcile indirectly funding company I deeply hate. ... .... but the location's relatively convenient for me for somewhere far away, has all SE people I never get to see normally, and the ticket price is fantastic. Plus it's Sean, so maybe the evil & good roughly balance out. I'm expecting to get boned on alcohol, so reserved $75 per day for a few beers. I may consider going. I'd like to see what speakers and other events are lined up. Will there be more details on the website?
Yep, we are in the pre-launch mode right now. When the actual site goes live, it will have a lot more details. Fwiw, they posted the speaker schedule recently (have to do a bit of browsing to find it): http://bitcoindisney.sched.org/Thanks for the info. I'll be there.

First off, congrats on your company and your new coins. Some of my thoughts are:
1. While I agree you wouldnt let your coin out of your sight, the fact that it *MAY* be compromised through imaging equipment could damage the resale market. I may not be eager to buy someone else's coin in fear they know the key. Especially a 20 BTC. That would then make me less apt to purchase these in the first place.
2. I think the design is ok, but have sort of a video game arcade token look when antiqued. Not a huge fan of antiquing, but the solid, silver plated, and gold plated polished coins look better to me.
3. You may wish to consider fewer denominations, or if you are going to make so many, differentiate them more with something else. Different designs ideally. The 10 and 20 coins are basically the same coin. I understand that you save on the tooling for having one design, but it reduces my desire to collect several.
4. I think your markup is a little high, at least translated to USD: (2 BTC) 749GBP = $1225 = $425 premium over 2 BTC (20 BTC) 5799GBP = $9489 = $1489 premium over 20 BTC
5. I would think you're going to have a hard time selling 499 of the 20 BTC $10k coins, even at this current low BTC rate. You may also want smaller mintages overall. Many sellers lately have been doing mintages of 100-200...maybe 500 on the higher end.
6. I think the window on the hologram is much too large, in order to show the entire public address, and takes away from the hologram aesthetics.
7. I see 7 denominations mentioned and 6 coins show on your website.
8. In order to make your product be available worldwide, consider selling them unfunded or enforce buyer funded. Otherwise, you may have a hard time selling some of the higher denominations to only UK. Unless resellers can sell them instead internationally.
For what its worth, I would buy one of your coins, but just giving advice, if its of any value. Thanks

Gona do a gold doge?, the alfadoge Would you buy one? I would I think a 1/2 Oz Au + 1 mil DOGE would be pretty epic - the "Ultra Doge" Price would be really high, and selling 25 10 (Minimum) would be really hard. Edit: But if you manage to find more people willing to buy it, we will mint it I would be in for a 1/2 oz gold. Not sure about 1 oz unless the markup was reasonable. A mintage of 10...definitely.

And the real TitanBTC hasn't been on the forum for a couple of days and if they dont answer my emails, i doubt they'll answer their PMs on here
You'll find the real person as the OP in the following thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=675359.0

I wanted to buy one of these but they're out of stock. https://www.titanbtc.com/product/titan-one-gold/(I want the one with a troy ounce of gold) Anyone knows where I can get my hands on one of them? I emailed them but they never answered my message. I'm also looking for a casascius gold/silver btc to add to my collection so if anyone has one for sale, PM me. Thanks. I'm pretty sure they have these available but may not be taking orders online. You could try to PM user TitanBTC, who owns the company.

awesome, gonna send mine in next week then. ty
good luck. Somewhat interesting story...ANACS called me today to ask me why I valued my 10BTC redeemed Casascius coins so low, where he was thinking it was fully funded. I spoke to the person for about 10 min educating about Cas coins, talking about looking up the addresses to see if they are funded, how the hologram shows if its been peeled open, etc. The ANACS person seemed very interested in the concept of bitcoins and physical bitcoins as well.
