1543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is staking blackcoin or nxt worth it? on: March 21, 2015, 03:34:23 AM
Get some Mintcoin

You don't need a lot and the payout is higher.

I've minted from a balance of only 1000 coins before with mintcoin and it pays 15% APR currently.

With only 15 million coins (worth about 2 BTC), I'm minting about 187,000 MINT every month...seems to be worth it. And it compounds so u get more and more, as you mint more.

 Smiley

Here is a wallet example on YouTube http://youtu.be/g04yHPY6Xik
Mintcoin have got a lot of potential. we hold Mintcoin in our wallet and earn up to 15% for this year, 10% the second and 5% Interest every year thereafter as a reward for securing the network.
1544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I Thought This Will Replace Facebook? on: March 21, 2015, 03:23:34 AM
Decentralized social media network seems like a good idea! But it won't be popular as Facebook in the near future until Bitcoin is adopted by the masses and the crypto concepts are accepted.
1545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What altcoins are similar to NextCoin or MaidSafe? on: March 21, 2015, 03:06:31 AM
I know there are a few, which is similar NXT, such as Burst, NFD and Bitshare.
1546  Economy / Lending / Re: Needing 0.07 btc loan on: March 20, 2015, 08:54:46 AM
Trading or speculating altcoins is risky! Normally we should only invest what we afford to lose! Using leverage is not recommended for the sake of risk management. There are some chance the altcoins will drop down further from his buying price! Then what about the loan? So legit collateral is needed!
1547  Economy / Economics / Re: A look into how the Rothschild´s are controlling centrals banks on: March 20, 2015, 08:46:27 AM
Russia’s monetary policy has until now been jointly determined by the Fed and the Peoples´Bank of China. This means that the Central Bank of Russia (CBR) has never really been in control of either the ruble or monetary policy.
The ailing economy in Russia, internal and external force is putting a lot of pressure to Putin. I think it is not the fault of CBS. Putin's gov is just looking for some one to blame and try to figure out their issues!
1548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rakuten online store announces accepting bitcoins on: March 19, 2015, 02:50:38 PM
One more merchant in Japan is accepting bitcoin. It seems Japan gradually gets over the impact of MtGox!
1549  Other / Meta / Re: Request to restrict newbies to post in Marketplace on: March 19, 2015, 02:42:26 PM
I don't think it is fair. There are a lot of newbies or junior members who are honest and reliable. They want to do business or offer somethings to other members of our community, if we ban them there, it will affect their opinions to bitcoin.
1550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Recently published book discussing Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency on: March 18, 2015, 08:04:55 AM
excellent job! Crypto concepts need to be spread to the whole of the world like internet, telephone etc.
1551  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin survey on: March 18, 2015, 07:58:57 AM
I did the survey for you! But the survey is not specific. I don't sell things accepting bitcoin.
1552  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin-based Tradeable Assets Used To Eliminate "Too Big To Fail" in Banks on: March 17, 2015, 07:12:24 AM
The same team that forecast the fall of Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers formed a team of blockchain technology engineers and solved the "Too Big Too Fail"  issue in the banking system with Bitcoin-based tradeable assets that essentially disintermediate not only banks, but management consulting firms as well. The assets are available for purchase today, as is the counterparty risk-free solution they propose. Not a white paper or a concept, but an existing solution. See http://veritaseum.com/index.php/homes/item/106-veritaseum-vertias-user-case-to-prevent-banks-from-failing-the-next-stress-test

I don't get it, how can Bitcoin with a total world value of 4 billion be used to in any way prop up too big to fail banks?
TARP last time was 700billion officially, with more than double that actually given out to banks.

Maybe I am missing something, but it seems like bitcoin is too small to help here.
I think it means the company Veritaseum offers financial analysis, investment and engineering service to its customers, help them identify the investment opportunity and avoid the shitty investment or the big financial institutions which are falling in difficulties.
1553  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading: Quick Trades vs. Lengthier Trades on: March 17, 2015, 06:48:46 AM
It depends on different of circumstance. If the market is under the down trend line, we could consider the second type of trades.
If the market is fluctuating up and down, maybe you can consider the first type of trades.

1556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin developer Interview? - Is this really what most of them think? on: March 16, 2015, 06:36:34 AM

1557  Economy / Economics / Re: USD monetary base has increased 3.5x since 2006. Why no huge inflation? on: March 16, 2015, 03:24:20 AM
IMO the maket is focusing on the European crisis, especially on the peripheral European countries at the meantime. And the Europ is introducing government bond buying program, we call it "QE". So the market has quite negative sentiment for it. the euro is under selling pressure comparing with a basket of other currencies including dollar.

1559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Any reports of Bitcoin being taught at your school? on: March 16, 2015, 02:59:06 AM
My sister is a junior middle school student. One day she told me her teacher gave a lesson about Bitcoin. She described me the content of the lecture, about what is Bitcoin, how to mine Bitcoin, its concept! How suprised I am! Although it is not the official course authorized by the gov agencies without any textbook about bitcoin, I know her techcher must be a bitcoin believer.
1560  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Venture Capital $836m now 21% of Bitcoin Market Cap $3,950m on: March 15, 2015, 12:41:22 PM
Fully agree, and with the upcoming reward halving in summer 2016, I would expect a big pump in Sep - Dec this year !

Reward halving expected: 2016-07-29  Source: http://bitcoinclock.com/
Well it sure is coming sooner than expected. Last time I checked that, the halving was set for August.
OP, indeed the price has to follow up at some point. I knew that the investments were on the rise, but didn't imagine such numbers. I wonder what the total for 2015 will be.
It seems like a lot of big names are joining the party.

I believe this year we might see $1 billion of VC injected into Bitcoin's ecosystem.
Many killer apps are on the way! No just the gamble, exchange website, derivatives market etc! Such as side chain, colored coin, smart contracts!
