If you take 1.0 BTC when its worth $80, is it proper to pay back 1.0btc, or $80?
i'm not trying to slag OP at all. i'm just wondering what happens when someone steals bitcoin, and then pays it back at a later date.
If you stole 1BTC then you owe 1BTC, unless you did a deal where you would pay a fixed amount in cash back etc. Not necessarily. What do you mean?

DO NOT CLICK ANYWHERE FOR 360 SECONDS. 6 minutes then you can click around and post...
Clicking and browsing around is fine, just don't submit anything or you'll have to wait again.

That's interesting. Glad he decided to hold on to some. I wonder if he bought the Bitcoins elsewhere or did he take them out of the companies stash?
definitely he bought them. taking out from company's stash is utterly illegal. Why would it be illegal? I didn't mean he took them without permission or anything.

What's the over/under for the final score being 42-0 in the first ever 420 Bowl I? Another banner shot: I feel like I'm playing Where's Waldo. Where is the Bitcoin banner? There isn't one. It didn't even make it into the stadium. Bad luck, phinny. Props for trying though, you crazy goatman.

How's Wahlberg in Lone Survivor? I'm waiting for that one performance from Wahlberg that will blow me away. Will it ever come? Drag Me to Hell had a few funny moments.

I got this problem too - didn't even post at all before getting the error. Weird. Log-ins count. You have to wait the full 6 minutes before posting.

Seems to quiet for me, I'd rather have it rising or falling.
So you'd rather lose money than it remain stable and quiet? I'd rather have them low to buy them low. But yeah, fluctuating prices makes me feel more comfortable at night than stagnating prices. It's just my paranoia, not rational reason behind it. :p So you just want cheap coins? What if the value keep on getting lower or stabilises at a low point? If you believe in the currency; buy in now. What happens if they never fall to a cheaper price or just continue rising?

So you'd rather lose money than it remain stable and quiet? Of late BTC prices seem to have just been stuck ... why is it not moving up or down like earlier ?
Isn't a steady price what we want? A wildly fluctuating price is counter-productive to BTC as a currency. However, I'm sure the price will change on the back of some good/bad news. Patience is all that's needed here. Well yea we want some stability but not for sooo long .. im sure everybody remembers the daily fluctuations we used to have ... now it just feels like ages have past (relatively in the crypto world) without much of a movement in prices. Why do we not want stability? If you want to use it as a currency then this is great. Exactly. If we want more people to start using bitcoin as a mean of exchange instead of just speculative investment the value has to be somewhat stable. Of course when more people start using it it should push the price up, which makes this a little paradoxical situation. I'd like to see a steady rise in the value driven by more people and companies _using_ bitcoin. That way the rise would have some kind of foundation. Maybe paradoxical, but a slow and steady growth would be better as opposed to wild fluctuations. This is the thing that scares off merchants.

Well before the price boom was actually used as currency a lot, sadly, for buying stuff on Silk Road.
Why is that sad? Bitcoin boomed by its use on Silk Road and it got a lot of free publicity from that. In fact, that's how I heard of it though the media coverage.

I hate stagnating prices, feels like they'll crash anytime. D:
Why? without any news they'll probably stay steady, but then it could go either way.

Can anyone tell what is a constructive post..?
Relevant to the conversation or thread you are posting in, and not just spam or irrelevant off-topic stuff.

Actually the price still move up and down. It is just less aggressive. I know because I am still making profit from trading. I think people just get bored when there's not much activity. I must admit, it was more exciting when there's activity, but if you're looking for excitement from this I reckon you're in the wrong game, or will need a bit more patience.

OK, I've been in the bitcoin game for a year now. Mining and trading. But I've only made one commercial transaction - to pay for a VPN. It seems to me that the vast majority of BTC are just being bought and held for speculation.
So, apart from speculation, what are people using BTC for now and what sort of transactions will it be used for in the future?
Well it's a decentralised currency, so hopefully it'll be used as a medium of exchange for anything you wish to purchase. People are holding it because they're treating it as an investment and figure that it'll grow in value with more mainstream adoption. I'm holding mine in the hope that I'll be able to get a lot more in the future than I can now, but I'm very much looking forward to hopefully be able to spend it on whatever I want.

Hey there!
Well, so two weeks ago I was sure that I'd daytrade my 0,01 BTC-Investment into the kind of money, that would put the Treasure of the King under the Mountain to shame. I'm getting there, but it might take actually longer then I expected. I'm at 0,1 BTC now. Mainly because I've bought 0,1 BTC after I've lost the 0,01 BTC the Second I hit that Buy-Button for TIPS and MOON at their very hights.
Now I've come to think that a more longterm approach could be wiser.
What coins are here to stay? I've heard good things about Peercoin, Quarkcoin and Earthcoin. Where can I put my money into, without the worth of the coin jumping around like crazy?
Heard good things from who? Users on here who hold lots of those particular coins? Nobody can tell you what coins are here to say, you're best just looking at the evidence yourself and making your own mind up, but the biggest bet in the longterm would probably just be to stick with BTC.
