I don't understand what does it mean and what anybody means by that.
I've never wrote that, and I never will, thank you for an indication!

Why do people write "first" etc on comments? Because they're idiots.

Yeah, This is 40 wasn't all that great. It's definitely not a comedy, either. More of a drama... Some of the same feel as Knocked Up, but less funny and less poignant, in my opinion.

Deffo felt more of a drama. Had none of the charm of Knocked Up. Plus Apatow's films are really long and can get tedious easily. Funny People, uggh.

Adam Sandler y u no make funny movies anymore?  Grin

I'm not a developer, but maybe it is makeable idea?

People have already proposed/discussed this here already. Have a search and you should be able to find some threads.
16444  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people think income tax is ok? on: January 22, 2014, 08:25:47 PM
The power to tax is the power to destroy. I think income tax and property tax are just wrong. What do you think?

I agree, but we do need services paid for by the tax.  However, having said that, the tax system is very unfair in the UK.

There is income tax, national insurance, then 80% tax fuel duty, cigarette duty, alcohol duty, council tax, VAT,  Stamp Duty, Inheritance Tax, capital Gains Tax, Flight Taxes, Road Tax, Insurance Tax, Interest rate tax, Business Rates, and many more.  Then there's inflation

After all this, you're left with hardly anything.

Wouldn't it better to fix the system though rather than destroy it completely? I think taxes are great, but only providing they're spent well and properly. That means no needless wars and other such bullshit.

How about allowing a different system? You keep telling people what they do and do not have the right to choose, and you're desperate to prove that no-one should be able to choose anything anything but this one particular model of delivering services to people. That's kind of intolerant really, if you or whoever wanted to be a full-on communist, I wouldn't care, as long as I could choose something else.

Where exactly did I say there's only one system or say anything intolerant? In fact, I said the opposite. People have a right to choose and there are already other choices and people do in fact choose alternatives. It's these 'taxes are bad people' who are making out like they don't have a choice at all because they like to feel persecuted whilst simultaneously paying their masters wages. Ironically they do have a choice, they just don't want to choose.

Vampire theme is getting old, it's time for microchip now Grin

There'll be some microchip love story shit out soon. Boy has accident. Boy loses memory. Boy gets microchip. Boy knows everything as he has google in his head, but can't remember who girl is. Boy remembers who girl is. End.

I think you might be onto something. Let's write it  Grin. How can we work Bitcoins into that story? Can call it Bitcoin Boy. I've got a few ideas for a black comedy / rom-com that I've been working on called P.S Your Wife's Dead. Maybe we can  incorporate that into it?  Grin.

Hostels do the trick for me. A fun way to meet people as well.

Like prostitutes?  Roll Eyes

Grab a joint and watch Pineapple Express.

Haha. Awful film that could only possibly be slightly better with a joint!

You and I share the same opinion. It's funny too, since I tend to enjoy Seth Rogen's other efforts. I think the guy looks like a dick in person, but still.

Yeah I was disappointed too. I like him in Knocked Up and Superbad etc. but this was crap. Just didn't get it at all.

Probably because you're not an immature stoner?  Grin The scene where he puts his foot through the windscreen was pretty funny. It had a couple of laughs, but pretty shit overall. Superbad was great. Definitely one of the better teen movies of the last decade.

Knocked up was alright. I need to see the semi-sequel 40 and Over or whatever it was called.

Don't bother. That's not good either. I usually find Paul Rudd really funny but it's nowhere near as good as Knocked Up. Agreed on Superbad. It's hilarious!

Yeah, I quite like Paul Rudd. Role Models was pretty good with Mclovin and Stifler in  Grin.

This could be the start of some fun.

They claim they will not accept BTC for bets, but at least its a start that they accept it for food/rooms.

I find it weird for them not to accept it for gambling, I though thats what most gambling company wants?

Its probably because they need to have the money backed for the bets. So if the prices of BTC dropped massively once you obtained chips, then won alot, they wouldnt have the FIAT to back the bet, so would be breaking the law. The only way i guess they can do it and keep in the law about holding money to back the bet is by automaticly changing straight from BTC to fiat.

They can just use a Payment processor or give you the winnings back in Bitcoins.
16450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin to pick? on: January 22, 2014, 07:29:02 PM
if you are planning to hold coins for a long time, the best coin for you is namecoin without any doubt.

What makes you say Namecoin over Bitcoin? I can't see Namecoin being a better investment than BTC.
16451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will make it into the next Civilization game? on: January 22, 2014, 07:27:59 PM
I think he means games like WoW or Diablo.

They have in-game currency that has actual value (you can trade for USD).

Second life, which isn't actually a game -- it is indeed a "second life" but has a currency of its own -- People build/design anything like you would in the real world but virtual, and people pay for it with the Second Life currency which can also be traded for USD.

I think he is suggesting games might use BTC as the currency instead of a controlled system open for exploits. (botting)

Ha, I was wondering what OP actually meant  Grin.
16452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 9 Overlooked Technologies That Could Transform The World on: January 22, 2014, 07:26:29 PM

If the masses/people have any sense Bitcoin/cryptos should transform the world and be revolutionary, but unfortunately they don't.

give it time.
look how long it took the Internet to be understood and adopted by the masses and still it hasn't reached its full potential after 20 years.
actually not everyone understands what you can do with the internet still today.

I think it will take much longer for bitcoin to the norm as payment system.  Not to mention many other things bitcoin protocol can do.

I don't mind waiting. The longer it takes the masses to get on board the more time I have to accumulate some more Bitcoin wealth  Cheesy. I don't expect the technology to be adapted quickly, but there'll be a point where the people can't ignore it any longer.
16453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The most respected technologists against bitcoin on: January 22, 2014, 07:24:13 PM
Aleks Jakulin, US based computer scientist from Slovenia is heavily criticising bitcoin, calling it a ponzi scheme.

His university page: http://www.stat.columbia.edu/~jakulin/

Here is one article from his blog: https://medium.com/future-of-currency/945260c2c193

My opinion is that he is just sad he didn't think of it first or invest early in it.

Could still be true..

What could be true? It being a ponzi?
16454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mentioned on a TV show on: January 22, 2014, 07:19:44 PM
its also the main currency in Almost human
Through the whole series ? This is huge then  Shocked

Really? Wouldn’t we have heard something already if it was the main currency? And I take it this is the US version not the UK?

Dotcom stated a few days ago on the Keiser Report that he has nothing to do with Megacoin.

edit: woops didn't see it posted above as was scanning through the video for the right point.  Grin

Like conspiracy theorists deal with facts/evidence - they deal with the lack thereof. All you need is a vague reference or association to something and it's "OMG I NEW IT!"  Grin.

He's said in video megacoin is nothing to do with him. The video was front page of the bitcoin subreddit in the last month.

I too would say I have nothing to do with it if i was him facing the legal troubles hes facing.. last thing he wants is someone taking his stash of crypto coins.

They wouldn't be able to if he stored them securely enough. That's one of the great things about Bitcoin.

You didn't really think those silly alts had a future? They are mostly created for a month long pump.  Of course, I also thought that about litecoin. Litecoin does have some actual users. But a coin based on a guys favorite dog??? No.

Especially when there's billions of them and newb logic is, if only they become worth a dollar each they'll be a millionaire!  Grin
