16381  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Xbox One With Extras on: January 23, 2014, 02:43:03 PM
Im selling my xbox one because I need to pay for a virus removal service. I have tried everything my computer remains infected. I only need 70$ for the virus removal but I dont want to let go of the xbox one for that little. And sorry I didnt reply to your PM WorldWideBTC, I cant go first, I dont trust anyone here just yet to that point. I couldnt reply to your PM because I reached the PM limit for the hour.

EDIT: I would use an escrower here but I dont want to test my luck with 500$ worth of this. Maybe later I can test if they are trustworthy or not on a smaller trade at a later date when I decide to get rid of some of my USB Miners.

If you choose one from the list with lots of deals and trade history they're trustworthy. The one who people shouldn’t be trusting here is you and quite rightly so.

And have you tried taking the hard drive out putting it in an external caddy and scanning it with an anti-virus? That usually works.

And don't you have any thing else to sell for the $70 dollars and opposed to selling the whole console? Couldn't you just sell the pads or games for that amount?

Hi all, im New to bitcoinforum and would like to get to know some of the guys here already.

I think cryptos are very interesting in general and would like to own some my self.
I know bitcoin been around for a few years and litecoin other than that i havent heard of many of the New ones that are on many of Your Boards here.

I dont realy have got a big miningrig or anything, just one 7950, but i hear its one of the best old ones so i Guess im allright.

What do you guys think i should start mining, what dio you recommend for a beginner, i dont know much about settings and stuff,
but maybe someone can teach me a little, how about it guys, a little help for my 7950!!!!!!!!!

Please wish me the best of Luck, and the best of Luck from me to all the newbees out there just starting up.

Thats just a little about me..........................................

The best thing you can do is read read and read, especially before you go diving straight in to something.

A good website to choose what to mine is: http://www.wheretomine.com/ But you can find even newer coins by browsing the alt coin section and looking for new announcements etc.
16383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon Goes On The Attack On Bitcoin on: January 23, 2014, 02:31:27 PM
Jamie Dimon Goes On The Attack On Bitcoin

The fact that we're still talking about Bitcoin seems to suggest that it has some staying power.

However, Jamie Dimon believes its standing as a currency will eventually end.

Dimon, who is the CEO of JP Morgan, spoke with CNBC's Andrew Ross Sorkin about the so-called digital cryptocurrency. And he went on the attack.

"It's a terrible store of value," said Dimon. "It could be replicated over and over."

Can it? I think he's getting it mixed up with fiat. Maybe replicated in other cryptos, but cash isn't king any-more and they realise this. It's a threat to half of their business.
16384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Coin to be Added to cryptothrift.com? on: January 23, 2014, 02:27:50 PM
All you'll get here is votes from people pushing whatever coin they hold the most of Grin. The best coins are already accepted on your site anyway.
16385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next two coins that will make huge jump is... on: January 23, 2014, 02:24:55 PM
That fontas guy clearly messages that he will use 400 bitcoin to pump mooncoin. Is that really legal? His id is fontase_bter I think.

I think he got arrested a while back actually, but not sure what for.

Next big coin is INFINITECOIN, get some here free: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=425823.0

Done, although wouldn't really say it's gonna be the next big coin. Far too many of them for that.

Please dont make the same mistake i did! With netcoin i ended up mining more of them then I ever expected i would be able to, I assumed because i could mine so many they wouldnt be worth much when they hit an exchange, they hit the exchange, I dumped, today i consider it to be one of the worst decisions of my life.

I took $500 profit from the coins, at their peak they would of been worth $91,000 ! so just because there are millions if not billions (trillions in CENT's case) it doesnt mean they wont make you a serious chunk of change!

Most of these coins' prices are faked by doing fraudulent trades with each other when they hit the market to artificially boost their price.
16386  Other / Meta / Re: Suspicious link removed?! on: January 23, 2014, 02:23:04 PM
Pretty sure it's just an automatic spam/suspicious link preventative measure. Maybe just break the url up if it's not posting properly. It happens with newbs a lot more than other users I think.

It's possible but it was not happening initially, why is that domain now flagged as suspicious? Anyone knows what steps one can take to fix this issue?

Have you tried breaking the url up? Ie 'https://google .com/blahetc' or whatever.
16387  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Leaked T-Mobile email suggests possible Bitcoin introduction on: January 23, 2014, 02:18:43 PM
T-mobile are reviewing the option of allowing customers to pay with Bitcoin.

I hardly call "under review" proof of anything.
16388  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: THERE IS NO TAX and there NEVER be any Tax on Bitcoin on: January 23, 2014, 02:14:46 PM
There is no Tax and there never be any Tax on Bitcoin. PERIOD.

One of Bitcoin famous rule is this:
No One can Tax Bitcoin

You will need to pay a tax, when you exchange your Bitcoin for U.S. currency or any other paper currencies in other countries.
In other words, the tax you pay is not from Bitcoin, but from using their paper currency. The Illuminati reserves the right to collect their tax on their paper currency.

This is how they're treating it in the UK and I like it this way as I'll just keep my coins as they are and spend them when I can.
16389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Dogecoin is so popular ??? on: January 23, 2014, 02:10:06 PM
I don't understand.
I'm not a big Dogecoin fan but it looks like it's the most successful scrypt fork of 2013 year. I know that it was start as joke, but it's not joke anymore!

Here is coinmarketcap statistics on 23 january 2014:

Code:
# Name	        Market Cap	Price	        Total Supply	      Volume (24h)
1 Bitcoin 12,301,125 BTC 1.00 BTC 12,301,125 BTC      18,834 BTC
3 Litecoin 673,424 BTC 0.02684 BTC 25,090,304 LTC      12,043 BTC
7 DogeCoin 63,688 BTC 1.85e-06 BTC 34,426,022,271 DOGE   5,261 BTC

If you look at volume section you'll see that it is the most traded coin after Bitcoin and Litecoin!

Well it has the meme factor as those spread the coin like wildfire. It's not going to last though. It'll die off once the miners move on and eventually the users. It has no long term uses.

And this:

u watch tv?  Huh retarted shit and stupid people get famous!
Snooky,Tila, honeyboo boo, paris hilton, kim kardashian ....... should i continue? cuz doge on the list also  Cheesy Cheesy
16390  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: new face of newbie on: January 23, 2014, 02:03:20 PM
i just found that the newbiesection change a new face to beginner and help. COOL!

Yeah, think it's been merged. I was wondering if the Beginners and Help was a new section. Was confused for a bit  Grin. I still think it should be called Newbies / Beginners & Help though.
16391  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many women do you think trade/invest in BTC? on: January 23, 2014, 02:01:16 PM
I have been thinking a lot about the future of BTC, and how crypto-currency will ensure success in the future.  The one thing that jumps out to me is women are not interested in BTC at this point. How do we change this fact?  How do we include 50% of the world's population on this idea?

It's simple. Just tell them about it. You don't need to treat them any different than men. In fact, just tell everyone you meet about it as it's a great topic/conversation starter.
16392  Other / Meta / Re: Demoted to Newbie? on: January 23, 2014, 01:59:08 PM
Well, i am a newbie, as newbie as they come. Just started my own altcoin miner, just bought my first fractions of bitcoin, getting close to 1...

The thing is I had myself listed as a junior member or something along those lines on this forum and then boom!  - I'm a newbie again. Did I do something wrong?

No, the membership groups changed. You now need more activity to break free of your newb title.
16393  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Happened to Newbie Board? on: January 23, 2014, 01:57:54 PM
I think the newbie board has been merged into Help & Beginners: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=39.0

That wasn't there before, was it?
16394  Other / Meta / Re: newbies section on: January 23, 2014, 01:55:47 PM
So the newbie section is now Beginners & Help? That wasn't there before, was it?
16395  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I did something stupid Paypal/Ebay on: January 23, 2014, 01:52:42 PM
I offered 1mBTC and 1cBTC on Ebay for a Paypal payment, I am very afraid the best bidder is a sc.ammer because he registered on Ebay after I posted my sell, there is less than 12h left, how can I avoid giving money to a scamm.er that is probably going to use the chargeback option on Paypal.

I read about not selling bitcoins with Paypal after I posted my adds, it is not a lot of money but it isn't good to give money to spammers because he is going to look for more and scam other people, does someone has an idea what I can do?

You're worried about being scammed for 1mbtc? Just cancel the auction or refuse to sell/send him the coin.
16396  Other / Archival / Re: Escrow stole my coins on: January 23, 2014, 01:49:39 PM
Edited.
The escrow of Certain washing site stole my coins they boot me after I deposited the coins so dont trust any site that promises you more coins for your coins.
Sounds fucking stupid but it happens.
Ill give no names as im afraid of repercussions.

You sent coins to a site that claimed to give you more in return? What site? I think you'll be safe from the bitcoin e-mafia.
16397  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-01-22] BBC.co.uk - How London is embracing the Bitcoin virtual currency on: January 23, 2014, 01:44:29 PM
A very positive video article:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-25852830

Yeah, half-decent video and showed quite a few benefits of the currency and didn't spread any FUD.
16398  Other / Off-topic / Re: Thinking about moving to OZ from UK on: January 23, 2014, 01:41:59 PM
I am thinking about moving to OZ from UK. Anyone from OZ around here?

I want to know what the national debts OZ got and how much? Also how much is the VAT in OZ. Also is the electricity in OZ cheap?

I heard Australia has pretty strict immigration laws ie you need a specific trade which will be beneficial to the country to emigrate there, so take that in to consideration if you don't have one.

Does snake and big spider come into the house? Also Bondi has any chance of forest fire or flood?

Yes, there are big spiders everywhere.

I heard it is not actually that hard to emigrate there. I know a few people just went there and settled down. They are not of any specific trade or professional.

I reckon you should check about that before you make any plans  Grin.

They have lived in OZ for over 10 years now, they even have kids going to school there now. I think it is not that hard. Actually I am a professional so I should have no problem.  Smiley

I think the rules were changed within the last few years or so so wont apply to people who have lived there a decade and have kids there. And a professional what  Grin?
16399  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Getting into the game - Need advice on: January 23, 2014, 01:39:45 PM
Hi all, been reading on this forum and elsewhere for a while, gathering info trying to get up to speed with "everything" bitcoins

My main interest for now is to start with X amount of BTC in my wallet; I'm guessing I should start and buy whatever I can at the best price I can
But then I am thinking of trying to "make" some more, as I am interested in the mechanic around it, but mostly motivated by the potential profit that may come out of it (I am not ready to take high risks, but low/medium would be acceptable)

You can also earn them online by offering services or selling items in the marketplace here. There are also a few ebay-like crypto markets: https://cryptothrift.com/ & https://www.coingig.com/
