should I add the Wii U also ?  Grin

Nobody cares about Wi U haha. Saying that, my bro has one and I would like to play Smash Bros and Mario Kart again when they come out as they are usually quality, but pretty much the only games I care about on that console.
15462  Other / Meta / Re: We need a "No begging" policy... on: February 05, 2014, 12:31:14 PM
Meh. It's not working. I have a better idea: a separate subforum just for begging threads.
Donations?
Charities?
Sending bitcoins for some good cause?
Plese do begiving me some bitcions for my honest battle against the evil dictator?
---> to the begging section! Grin

Who would actually post in that forum? It'd just be a trollfest. And we kinda did have a begging section - it was called the newbiejail  Grin.
15463  Other / Off-topic / Re: Food you have Bought With bitcoin - (Laszlo dedication thread) on: February 05, 2014, 12:29:46 PM
Ah. I usually use justeat.com in the UK, but might give takeaway.com a go with Bitcoins next time I order.
15464  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: transection is not showing even after 12 hours on: February 05, 2014, 12:27:37 PM
Once the days are caught up and the wallet isnt behind, your bitcoin will show up in your wallet. Just leave it connected to internet and wait it out Smiley
may be this is the same reason i didn't received my litecoins : p its running around 100 weeks behind

They'll be there once it's synched. Some wallets like electrcum don't download the bc, or you could go for an online blockchain.info wallet.
15465  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin, Hobby or Investment Venture? on: February 05, 2014, 12:24:47 PM
Probably both, but Ideally I just want it to be adopted by the mainstream because I believe in it as a revolutionary concept in currency.
15466  Other / Off-topic / Re: Book recommendation on: February 05, 2014, 12:20:04 PM
Inferno - Dan Brown was pretty decent in my opinion.
Is Robert Langdon still the main character?
Yep, he is. Decent book I must say.

Where does it rank compared to his others? It's the only one I haven't read of his.
15467  Other / Off-topic / Re: Food you have Bought With bitcoin - (Laszlo dedication thread) on: February 05, 2014, 12:16:17 PM
You can order food in the UK on www.takeaway.com

Seems they also serve Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Denmark, Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland, & France according to Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Takeaway.com

You sold half a Bitcoin's worth of shirts?

How long will it take you to earn the money back you spent on mining?
15470  Other / Off-topic / Re: Movie Recommendation Station on: February 05, 2014, 12:03:02 PM
wolf of wall street
lone survivor
american hustle

Those are the best movies that have been out this year in my opinion...

I really need to see Wolf Of Wall Street. All I ever hear is good things about it! Smiley

It's so good.  People either love it or hate it, but I loved it.  That one guy from Superbad (I foget his name), took 60k as his pay just to be in the movie because scorsese was directing

Wasn't aware of that, but I was surprised he was even cast in this. Does he actually play a character other than Jonah Hill in it though?  Grin I like him as a comedic actor, but I'm sceptical of his talents as a serious dramatic actor, but I love to be proved wrong.
15471  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is weed goods on: February 05, 2014, 11:59:49 AM
Is weed good

Depends if you go at the prison for that or not xD.

Yes. The worst thing in weed is to get into prison.
Smiley

This is the biggest problem for weed users.

I dont understand why alkohol is legal and weed is not. If we look at what 1st can do to you and what second do...
things are getting quite not easy to understand.

There's not that many countries that will lock you up for smoking a joint anymore. Well, as long as you're not black and in America. But yeah, I don't think anybody should be locked up for taking any drugs. The government have no right to tell a person what they can or cannot put in their body.
15472  Other / Off-topic / Re: Xbox One vs PS4 on: February 05, 2014, 11:57:17 AM
I've always favoured PS over Xbox, but never been a fanboy. I have no opinion on the Eighth generation consoles as I haven't played on any of them, but I haven't really played console games in years.  I might get one when I get a new TV and there's some games I'd like to play, but neither consoles have many games I'd be interested in playing at the moment though.
15473  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is weed goods on: February 05, 2014, 11:49:01 AM
If you ever had even a slightest problem with your hearth, don't do weed!
Could also been a panic attack which can have the same symptoms. Try to stay calm next time and take some sugar, chocolate or other sweets in. It'll help.

Yeah, that sounds like a classic panic attack. Cannabis does quicken the heartrate and can cause paranoia, so maybe that;s what caused it.

The joke no longer exists because it was moved from the "Goods" section

Haha. Was still in the wrong section though  Grin
15474  Other / Off-topic / Re: Paypal hacked on: February 05, 2014, 11:46:20 AM
This is to prove how vulnerable and weak centralized systems are:

http://mashable.com/2014/02/01/syrian-electronic-army-ebay/

Well, they just 'hacked' the frontpages. Hacking or gaining access to accounts or sensitive data is a far more difficult task. Decentralized systems have their drawbacks too.
15475  Other / Meta / Re: Mods/Admin, help please (will pursue legal routes if not dealt with) on: February 05, 2014, 11:42:02 AM
I'd just try work it out with Vod. I sympathise with you if your intentions were fair, but unfortunately with the way PP works it makes most newbs immediately look like scammers or at the very least it arouses suspicion. Maybe if you stick around long enough and wait until the timelimit for a PP chargeback has expired Vod might then remove his rating.
15476  Other / Meta / Re: Gain trust? on: February 05, 2014, 11:36:52 AM
people here are so paranoid its basically impossible to build up any trust.. im not saying they are overparanoid mind you as since i registered i have seen plenty of fresh accounts trying to scam anyone and everyone so im sure if i was an established member id also be thinking every newbie is probably a scammer BUT if people dont give you benefit of the doubt how will you ever build trust? its a catch 22...

and then theres the super paranoids like above thinking you want to earn trust in order to scam.. so by that logic then not even long standing well trusted members can be trusted because maybe theyre just building trust to pull off some mega scam? this kind of reminds me of people who are afraid to leave their house because they think they will be struck by lightning, hit by a meteor or god knows what else.

It's the nature of Bitcoin and the internet I'm afraid. Some of Bitcoin's advantages are also unfortunately advantages to scammers. It's not paranoia; it's just exercising caution. It's best to assume there's a good chance someone is trying to con you than to blindly trust everyone.

And trust is and should be incredibly difficulty to earn. The only real way to gain feedback here is to become an active member of the community and build trust and rep over time. People are more likely to trust each other if they're familiar faces. You can try gain trust by doing smaller trades or selling things on the marketplace and offer to use escrow. Newbs who sign up here trying to buy coins for PP unfortunately look like blatant scammers regardless of their honest intentions.
15477  Other / Meta / Re: PLEASE DELETE MY ACCOUNT on: February 05, 2014, 11:21:47 AM
im half tempted as well.. i registered so one member here that i met on another site could help me out getting some BTC. i came in thinking these guys here are really nice based on that as id have thought everyone would be hoarding everything and slitting the next mans throat otherwise and since registering and posting on the forum it would seem my initial impression of people here being nice and decent was WAY off the mark.. apparently if your a newbie then your automatically a scammer and no one wants to help you in the slightest,

While there are some genuine people who just want to get some quick coins via paypal, paypal is the scammers preferred method of choice, so regardless of intention you'll automatically arouse suspicion. It's a shame it has become this way because PP is an easy way for newbs to get coins, but it's also one of the easiest ways to lose them too.
15478  Other / Meta / Re: We need a "No begging" policy... on: February 05, 2014, 11:14:53 AM
It seems like there has been a lot of begging threads recently.

I'm sure begging threads will only grow over time as Bitcoin gets more mainstream attention.  I think this is why the newbiejail was a good idea. At least they were quarantined then and could be dealt with quicker.

Bookmarked. I'll use that in future  Grin.
15479  Other / Meta / Re: Can we get an Gamblers Anonymous forum on: February 05, 2014, 11:10:46 AM
Where is your compassion man? Cheesy They are in agony and you want to isolate them, that's rude man Cheesy

Exactly I don't have compassion for these people. Gambling addiction is non-existance. I have seen people going thru hardcore drug addiction and these people want someone to feel bad for them, yeah ok. Gambling is not a real addiction, it is weak minded people that want to be victims but don't have a bad life so they create it for themselves.

Non-existance; what? Gambling is a real addiction. With your logic you can just say hardcore drug addiction is just weak-minded people. All it takes for drug addicts to stop is to just stop, but obviously it isn't as easy as that and there are often underlying problems like with most other addictions.

Thanks for your input.
Do you know how I can get rid of the Newbie status?

By replying on threads, creating new threads, and so on Cheesy

Not exactly. You just need to get more 'activity' and you'll go up in member status. You can read about activity here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178608.0
