can anyone think as to what advantages bitstamp and bitfinex will have if fully insured and regulated exchanges open?

Is it that they will have less regulation so to speak and this itself will be an advantage?

For me, none. On the contrary. I think it's about time for every exchange to be regulated or at least post every transaction to the ledger. Transparency is the key. No more Gox-phenomena with Willy bots will occur this way.

I dunno.  Just happy you kids are finally growing up!
BTW, do the complementary shackles bind at all?  Try walking around a bit & see if they fit.

I don't know, they seemed a bit loose at first, but then I padded the space with a few layers of surplus cash I found in my investment account and now they feel just fine.

Seriously though: crypto is brilliant, in my opinion. Has the chance to bring mankind and finance several steps forward. Potentially changes the world for the better.

That said, "sound money must replace dirty fiat" and "destroy the state by removing its financial power base" never were any of the big reasons I got excited about crypto. So why would I care if I have cash or coins sitting on a regulated exchange? I'd love to do so.

There's always the chance of arbitrage with another NON regulated exchange. Seriously, this needs to be fixed asap.

Okcoin futures lagging behind  Huh

Not many shits given about Coinbase doing anything further with BTC.

They are all about tracking and other odds n ends that I don't support.

(Proud Libtard here Smiley)

Well it does open the doors to a lot of people in the US that don't feel comfortable wiring fiat to bitstamp or btce.

Never less it's bullish and good to be long Smiley

i bet we are going to see more transactions and eventually this will take us UP guys Smiley

Ask walls are thin on all exchanges. I think this is going ballistic soon...
You know the reason? Well... here it is!
Lamb Chopped all hiz bitcoinz! No Moar To Dump!

Tomorrow Coinbase will add litecoin and dogecoin. Dump BTC and buy one of those shitcoins instead.

Sssshh, don't tell anyone.

i think it will be something else.

Huh but that's an interesting assumption!!! I mean... LTC went up these days, maybe some people knew about this and bought some coins... Could be insider trading or something, man. Maybe we do need regulation!

LMAO at the irony if it is this ...
NYSE  invests in Coinbase, talk of regulation, a few days later obvious insider trading takes place with Coinbase plans at the centre

Only in Bitcoin  Cheesy

You guys don't know what you're talking about. I have insider info:

CCMF, TO DA MOON etc... Cool

Why is everybody so excited?

The price hasn't changed that much in 3-4 days.

Most of the trolls have disappeared, that's why Wink

The trolls tried to destroy us & failed.

I don't know. The price is at $233 still. We used to be at $1200 a little over a year ago. I wouldn't call that a victorious position just yet. But I agree that it's quite hard to keep the excitement under the hood at the moment. The prospect of months full of bullish pictures and trains or moons around here is very tempting!

A momentum is always something to cheer for, no matter if you're a bear or bull. If I were you, at this point I'd ask myself: Is it safer to hold some BTCs or not to?
1575  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 23, 2015, 11:25:33 PM
After the EU new QE policy, I'd expect more people trust BTC than the EU banks. Just saying... Wink

The level of imbecility is pumping along with bitcoin...

It started happening the moment you showed up.

Very true.
One serious question though...
