Afghanistan easily wins the game, responsible batting from them, I must say. From Asian teams, Afghanistan has most wins in this world cup next to India.

Pakistan must win tomorrow to keep their hopes alive, and will replace Afghanistan in standing cause their NRR is better, also Williamson will return tomorrow and Matt Henry is out and Kyle Jamieson is replacement, more trouble for Pak.
1582  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No advertisement for btc on: November 03, 2023, 01:16:49 PM
I was just reading this post and thought crossed in my mind that there has been no advertisement for Bitcoin. It's all growth has been natural, it's quite surprising if you think about it.
But Bitcoin is a globally known coin. Bitcoin doesn't need a new introduction as countries around the world already know about its importance and necessity.

I was talking quite prior to that, before it became known.

1584  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's your take on CEX platforms integrating DEX capabilities like swapping? on: November 03, 2023, 12:59:42 PM
It's good, here you don't need to pay gas fees either.

1585  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Using a Credit Card Demonstrate Financial Literacy? on: November 03, 2023, 12:48:02 PM
I don't have credit card but I use pay later services on ecom sites because with this payment method returns are faster, I pay the accured amount before the due date, it increases my credit score which is extra bonus, I find nothing wrong with it despite in past myself despising credit cards.

Whether literate or otherwise, credit cards are fine as long you pay on time. It might be hard to do so for CC addicts, hence may be financial advisors recommend using cash for payments.
1586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ICC WORLD CUP 2023 DISCUSSION THREAD! on: November 03, 2023, 11:15:42 AM
164-8, Netherlands in deep trouble, looks like they ain't gonna make much today, much hope for further runs depends on Van Der Merve.
Afghanistan in opportunity to capitalize and close the game early to get NRR boost.

Sadly I did't watch the run-outs, but from the scorecard looks they were set batters, they must be so disappointed.

Anyway, I just hope that the 12-year old jinx is finally broken. It has been a wait that has stretched for more than a decade.

It's decade but it's just two world cups  Grin
1587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto security tools you need before farming airdrops on: November 03, 2023, 10:56:20 AM
In your Metamask or any EVM-compatible hot wallet, make sure that you make a habit of disconnecting and revoking permissions to specific sites after you're done using their platform.
Just connecting wallet doesn't do anything harmful, mere connecting allows dapp to view your address whether it be scammer or genuine. So there is no need worry yourself over disconnecting.

Regarding permissions I agree, be careful where you give 'approval' permission and sign messages where you can't read what message says — this is where most scam lies. When you approve only approve amount for that particular transaction never say 'max'.
1588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on TRON's impact on the payment landscape? on: November 03, 2023, 10:45:39 AM
Tron sucks, I don't how would you call it efficient when it charges $1 fees for a transfer, to make actually free transfers on this blockchain you require hefty amount of tron staked.

Imo, true potential to change payment landscape is for feeless blockchains . Several blockchains are there which require some native crypto staked and you can make free transfers, but none so far who is completely free.
1589  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin help global refugees and migrants to relocate to new countries? on: November 03, 2023, 10:19:14 AM
Those 5 ways sum up pretty much everything, they can simply relocate to new country, convert their Bitcoin to fiat of that country with whatever method available, and rent and live.
1590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the irreversibility of Bitcoin transactions a downside for an average person? on: November 03, 2023, 03:35:02 AM
I like irreversibility because it confirms that once I receive money it's mine and no one can take it away unlike bank and paypal's chargebacks (I have been there).

Those that send money generally want to have an option to reverse the transaction if there's a mistake or if they didn't receive what they wanted.

Stick to trusted merchants, so they refund you if their product is not upto the mark.

In our world a lot more people are senders rather than receivers.

I don't get the statement, every sender implies reciever on the other end.
1591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is It Late To Invest In Bitcoin? on: November 03, 2023, 03:11:02 AM
Take my statement as grain of salt but I think even individual satoshi has chance to become valuable in future, prices we have right now is  dirt cheap. We are just about 15 years in, Bitcoin still has long way to go.

.. If it's the price of the early 2010s, I might have bought it through a part-time job..

If you didn't know back then where Bitcoin was headed to and it were to become huge as it is today, would you still buy it? Probably not.

1592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ICC WORLD CUP 2023 DISCUSSION THREAD! on: November 03, 2023, 02:43:58 AM
Today we have Afghanistan vs Netherlands, if Afghans win this game they will have same points as NZ which will be quite surprising to me, although they still wouldn't qualify for semis since their NRR is negative but still it'll be a win in their book.

1594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ICC WORLD CUP 2023 DISCUSSION THREAD! on: November 02, 2023, 03:20:32 PM
SL all out for 55 and this win confirms the participation of India in semis. Should have given one more over to Shami instead of Jadeja, he could have added that last wicket to his account as well.
India beat Sri Lanka today by a huge margin of 302 runs. The win ensured India's place in the semi-finals.
No one would have thought that Sri Lanka would lose in such a humiliating manner today.Batting from today they collected 357 runs in reply Sri Lanka came down to bat and got all out for just 55 runs.
All the credit for bowling out Sri Lanka for 55 runs goes to Md Sameer today.Because he took five wickets today against them, this Mohammad Sami was dropped from the XI early.Mohammad Sami is bowling well when given opportunities and is making his place.

You know what had Hardik Pandya not gotten injured, Shami would still be warming the benches. What a loss that would have been for India.

Whatever happens, happens for good — as they say.

lol, I can't believe what I'm witnessing, SL completely destroyed, they might not even make 50 today.
1597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Lump sum Vs DCA" for Bitcoin Accumulation on: November 02, 2023, 01:13:01 PM
I'd choose DCA too as one can never time the market correctly, one may think it's dip but it keeps dipping and then you feel regret why did you purchase early. So yes, DCA all the way.
1598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will it affect your life if Bitcoin price comes to zero per Bitcoin one day? on: November 02, 2023, 01:09:52 PM
Not much cause I don't have much BTC, but I'd be having plenty had I taken right decisions so I've probably do away with regrets if it were to come to zero.
1599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ICC WORLD CUP 2023 DISCUSSION THREAD! on: November 02, 2023, 12:44:27 PM
Indian batters did well today, until Pandya comes back they should play Ashwin, it doesn't feel right when 6th wicket goes and bowlers start coming in  Tongue

Saving grace of SL was Madhushanka, only he's been constantly performing well throughout the tournament. Rohit's wicket was beauty.
1600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: fudster guy saying bitcoin is not viable because there are too few available on: November 02, 2023, 11:38:17 AM
The guy probably compared BTC supply rather than satoshi as you did, 21 million BTC is no match for global population. But, in regards to satoshi, it's plenty indeed, and we'll likely go through time when individual satoshi will become valuable.
