161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My best investment strategy on: October 15, 2020, 11:47:23 PM
The best technique for building a strong crypto portfolio is to mix things up.
Survival in this market landscape is reliant on adaptability.
you choose what to do depending on how we see the market.
Sometimes you buy and hold for the long term, other times, you take short time trades to get big profit.
I Also take some calculated risks on new projects BTC
Diversifying is a good move but its success still depends on the coins you are holding. If your portfolio is just composed of bitcoin and tons of sh*tcoins(dead coins) then your efficiency of making profits would still be low. Much worse if it is only composed of sh*tcoins alone. So my advice for those beginners out there to invest in more reputable tokens. Don't easily follow the hype or newest trend, stick with the proven and trusted instead Smiley.
162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Normal Game Setup - a success or a failure? on: October 15, 2020, 07:15:11 AM
Yup! Whether it's boxing, MMA, football, basketball etc, I'm very glad because the sports industry is slowly backing on its track once again. I'm so thankful especially to NBA bubble's success because the basketball organization of our country got inspired to it and continue their games as well Smiley.
Even with low ratings and small revenue (as expected), I consider this new normal setup as a success.
I would agree on the part where they got low revenue compared before but when it comes to ratings I think the opposite is happening. Why? Because lot of sport fans are hungry to watch thus became more excited and interested to watch the long awaited games. Perfect proof is the huge number of views on their live streamings and other videos.
163  Local / Pamilihan / Re: GCash, PayMaya, and banks to bring back Pesonet and Instapay fees on: October 15, 2020, 03:32:02 AM
Over the Counter pala ibig sabihin nun Grin.
Just make sure to pick the SEC approved and you don't need to worry anymore. Mas convenient sila gamitin para sakin.
164  Economy / Economics / Re: Show me shops where i can spend crypto ...crypto is useless... on: October 15, 2020, 12:23:08 AM
USER A tells USER B : Hey i want to send you 100 usd birthday gift .

USER A does not have cash but he has BTC ... he sells his BTC to get FIAT ( it's USER A problem if he gets taxed or not)
Ah..so what are you trying to say is that its sender's responsibility whether he need to pay tax or not based on the regulations there of course. I guess pixie85 thought that the act of selling/buying btc is the one which is taxable. Maybe both of you are just having a misunderstanding Smiley.
If you occupy a public office or work for the government here ,sending Ferrari's as gifts that is a problem here(bribe etc) ...not allowed.
Hmm, is that all? What if I gave my government employee friend but not asking for any favors, is it still considered bribery?
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust newbies that starts projects? on: October 14, 2020, 09:55:40 PM
We were once newbie till when we all grow to this moment. Anybody can be a good bounty campaign manager because sometimes the project announcing the manager. I have worked with campaign managers with the rank of newbie and got paid without any negative move, while there are higher ranking campaign manager with series of scam accusations against their reputation. Currently, I don't select bounty campaign manager because of the experience I got from this industry. I would prefer to make my own investigation into the project before joining their promotion.
Well, I guess you are just lucky to have a newbie manager that didn't fail you. Because if you will analyze, that's the best rank position for scamming since nothing will lose if ever proven guilty and get abred tag. Who cares about about a newbie account with red tag? None because it's always easy to create one. Unlike on the side of Hero or Legendary members, they got a reputation need to be protected all the time. If ever they scammed you because of their greed then at least you can fight back. You can make his account useless in a glimpse and all of the years he stayed here will be erased Cheesy.

But remember, CMs are just one of the factors to consider when choosing a campaign. So know the project itself as well.
166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government can seize company reserve Bitcoin? on: October 14, 2020, 08:43:55 AM
Your questions reminds that bitcoiners must choose non custodial wallets to use and to store their bitcoin investment. Rely on other companies for bitcoin investment or use custodial wallet is bad and probably brings troublesome.
Gosh! You made me panic all of a sudden. You have a point and I forgot that I'm using a custodial wallet. Though I know it was 100% legit, I guess I should not be too complacent regarding this matter even knowing that our country don't yet have a concrete crypto regulation so far.

But I hope they can give us ultimatum before its effectiveness if ever implemented in the future (but I hope not at all) because we will suffer for real. I guess its time to start planning of buying a hardware wallet Grin.
167  Local / Pamilihan / Re: GCash, PayMaya, and banks to bring back Pesonet and Instapay fees on: October 14, 2020, 05:47:07 AM
      • OTC Cash In - 1% for more than Php10,000
Wth, ngayon pa lang ako nagiging fan ng paymays after ko padalhan kapatid ko this last Oct. 11 tapos ganito mababasa ko. Tsk sayang!

Correct me if I'm wrong ah.
168  Other / Meta / Re: is bitcointalk have competation going on ? who makes most dump topic? on: October 13, 2020, 10:01:30 PM
is the bitcoin talk have some competation going on ?
if you are pertaining the competition inside then yes it exists because most of us here are battling to get limited spots from sig/bounty campaigns lol. But if we are talking outside, if btctalk has a rival forum or whatsoever, then it's a big no. This forum just offers a wide variety of fun and knowledge, nothing more and nothing less. (But btctalk > cryptotalk, just saying Grin).
if i read a lot topics it look like here competation for dumbest person, can i pariticapte? whats the rewards?
Nah, don't expect a money reward. But if you insist to pursue being dumb then your post might qualify on the Wall of Shame thread or you could get the highest price which is a red tag hahaha.
169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Not User Friendly Yet on: October 13, 2020, 01:53:07 PM
Therefore many people do not understand Bitcoin and seems too complicated still.

If you will think deeper, every new invention come out in this world is not user friendly at first and Bitcoin (the concept of cryptocurrency as a whole) i not an exception from it. Of course all people will have a hard time to cope with it since it was new. Hello, even our ancestors spend lots of time before mastering how to forge a sword lol. It is the same as using bitcoin. You can't master it in one night, adopting it for a very long time is required for you to fully understand it Cheesy.

So give it a chance to prove its worth. I know this one is tor the geeks but with the right amount of interest and determination I believe that all of us can apprecaite its magic.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ClipX steals KYC data and shuts down on: October 12, 2020, 05:10:01 AM
      [snip]
I received an email from ClipX and saying that my KYC data was deleted for me it was a relief.
Hmm, I'm feeling a little bit skeptical regarding this matter. You know, it was so easy make a public apology and tell that they already deleted it. But in reality, you can't get rid of the possibility that they made an extra copy of it and just waiting for the issue to be forgotten before using it on their advantage. Don't get me wrong, I'm not spreading hate, scaring you or whatsoever; I'm just not fully convinced that they really erased all the vital info they gathered from you and all of the participants. I hope I'm all wrong, I hope I'm just overthinking Undecided.

Next time don't ever join a bounty which requires sensitive info like that for you to be safe when things get f*cked up. Or much better if you will finally stop chasing sh*tcoins.
      171  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My mistakes x Realization. on: October 11, 2020, 10:42:17 AM
I have learned that it is not enough to paraphrase and include the link whenever we are going to create a topic, we should still include our insights about it or add some information from your own.
Of course because doing so makes you sound like a robot. Actually consider yourself lucky because lovesmayfamilis only criticized what you've done and not report it to the mods. Well, technically speaking, you do not break any rules but who knows? Maybe the mods still give you a red/neutral tag if ever Grin.

Anyway, I'm glad you finally learned your lesson. You know what, lengthy informative posts are good but it is pointless if you just copy most of the concept from other sources. Yes you might get a merit from it but it was not as fulfilling as you think. Post here like the way you post on your FB. Just spill your own thoughts with the right manner and that's enough.
172  Economy / Economics / Re: Will African countries be developed? on: October 11, 2020, 06:32:49 AM
I look on the map presented and it's prety impressive. African continent is undoubtedly rich of mineral resources. If their government focus on harnessing such natural resources then I think they would be more developed than Middle East. But unfortunately, it's not.

Aside from the corrupt officials, another factor to be consider why they are having a slow progress is because of the climate and topography. It's really hard to improve the agriculture on such places that's why most of them are experiencing famine. Hunger  leads to low quality of health and death sooner Sad.
173  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Bagong Digital Telco Gomo PH on: October 11, 2020, 04:12:34 AM
Nice one! Mas sulit yung plan nila compared mo naman sa Gotscombo90 na 2gb valid only for a week. Saan ba pwede makabili?

Whether this GOMO is totally owned by Globe or not, this is a sign na unti-unti na silang natethreaten sa mga bagong nagsusulputang telco kaya nila naiisipang gumawa ng ibang brand para kahit papaano ay mamonopolize pa rin ang industry Cheesy.
      174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: October 10, 2020, 11:06:13 PM
      [snip]
It's the funny clutch game. I remember when Lebron has ditch Jr Smith for a finals game, I wonder if Lebron has done the same but inside the lockers. That's a winning shot but a lose is a lose.
Don't forget Green's missed wide open three. Both of them failed to end the series with the Mamba jersey. But Morris really did a worse thing there to be honest lol Grin.

But kidding aside, past is past. Even if James blame Morris and mock him a hundred times, nothing will change. That's life, mistakes are inevitable it's jjst so unfortunate for them that it happened in crucial times. Nonetheless, they should move on now and continue making strategies on how to stop Butler and the rest of Heat.
175  Economy / Economics / Re: Not enough Corona Virus Vaccine until 2024, at earliest on: October 10, 2020, 09:08:47 AM
This news might actually cause panic in our world, especially to those who believes in the vaccine.
Well, there are chances for it to happen. But if you will personally analyze the situation, there's no need for panicking because you will be good as long as you are strictly following the safety protocols and staying inside your home as much as possible. Like what I am always saying to my friends, prevention is better than cure Smiley.
Is this a strategy of the company to increase the price with regards to the high demand of the vaccine throughout the world?
We can't get rid of such assumptions. You can't blame them if they will increase the price of the vaccine because that's how business works. I just hope they'll be more compassionate and set a reasonable price.
176  Economy / Economics / Re: Where the top world Elite Rich guys invest on: October 10, 2020, 04:57:49 AM
that's not a good way of doing business, everyone has different economic strengths, they and we have different economic strengths, so we and they also have to have different business strategies. I have learned little knowledge from successful business people
Yup! The strategies of successful businessmen we knew will not 100% work on us because our situation is different from them, our skills and capabilities are different and so on. So as a true business smart, you should know how to set aside external factors. Focus more on the hindrances on your goals and work for its solutions. That's it!
we must be good at managing the $ 1 bill before we are ready to receive the $ 10 bill[...]
That's right, you can't show value on bigger things if you don't know how to appreciate the smaller ones in life Smiley.
177  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin talk could fix the spam in one move....REMOVE SIGNATURE...Right?? on: October 10, 2020, 02:41:29 AM
As a matter of fact, there is a user here that discussed a few months ago which his posts was purely shared link of his social media campaigns.
Well, it's not so hard to look for another one. I mean, there are several members existing here for the sake of their main business only which is posting their social media links — not going anywhere, not interacting with other members Roll Eyes.

And in my opinion, there's no guarantee that this forum will be finally free from spammers even assuming that all money earning opportunities here will be removed. Why? Because at the end of the day, this place is where most crypto enthusiasts gather. It creates a huge traffic thus considered a good place for shilling (a form of spamming) all the projects you can think of.

We can only eradicate spamming if all of us here got the right discipline. However, it was so ideal so I think it won't happen either.
178  Economy / Economics / Re: I lost my job, how about you guys? on: October 09, 2020, 12:37:20 PM
I know the only thing that will help me survive this crisis is cryptocurrency that is why I am active here again because fiat had failed me.
No offense but I barely agree with you. In this case, fiat doesn't failed you, the root of your problem is the pandemic which came from the corona virus. So the should be the one you are blaming not your work or even fiat which are only used as a mean of exchange. Anyway, I feel sorry for your loss dude, good thing you got crypto. I hope it will ease your suffering in this hard times somehow.
In your own experiences and opinion which of the two will win?
I don't know because until now I don't have a job lol. It seems like I graduated for nothing, it is so frustrating that I can't apply everything I've learned until now Grin. But kidding aside, there's no point of comparing those two. They are both helpful in their own ways.
This was the sad truth. Marami pa rin ang nabibiktima sa mga ganitong modus and I wonder really why. Because the there are hints already dun sa offer kaya masasabi mong scam talaga sya; like the $6000 per month. That's what I'm always talking about my colleagues as well as the newbies in B&H section na nacucurious sa mga nagsusulputang investment platforms kuno sa FB — if it's too good to be true then stop it.
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you find out about new projects? on: October 09, 2020, 05:40:11 AM
Maybe there are some informational subreddits?
Hmm, the best subreddits I can recommend to you are r/CryptoCurrency and r/CryptoMarkets. They have the most number of subscribers so I guess those would be a great option. Honestly, it was very seldom to find posts there discussing/promoting a particular project so try to join their daily discussion. You can see a lot of suggestions there. But I'll give you a warning, reading on such megathreads is a little bit confusing so bring a lot of patience Grin. Good luck!
