161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana Memecoin Mania: Could This Be the Next BONK? on: April 04, 2024, 06:25:35 PM
~
Anyone else witnessing this madness? Do these memecoin projects ever have staying power, or are they all destined to crash and burn? This one's got me scratching my head, and I'm here for the chaos.
I know that feeling.
The feeling of basically investing money into a meme coin just because many are talking about it, and it's price is starting to pump already. I know that because I'm also one of the victims of that kind of mentality. If you're still half-tempted until now, put it to 0 because meme coins that are just pumping because many people are talking about it will not be sustainable in the mid to long term.

I knew it because I invested into SAFEMOON. A meme coin that has the same feature as the "new project" you're saying. Supply burning every time there's a transaction being done. They're attracting investors by burning the supply because that will increase it's price. Well, it's true but the question is how's the demand? If the demand is high, sure it's price will go up, but it's going down, supply burning will pretty much useless. Trading volume is insane? Price chart looks vertical? Listing on a major exchange soon? Not attractive for me because I believe that it will not be sustainable in the long term.

Most of the meme coins will crash, and most of the investors will lose their money. That's for sure. Maybe mention also the name of the project that you're saying. Smiley
162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What was your latest big win from gambling? on: April 04, 2024, 06:08:10 PM
What was your latest big win from gambling? How do you feel after your latest big win?  is $16700 last week and I have lost half of my latest big win cause most times I do chase my loss unconsciously. I really want to know how you do feel after your latest big win. Do you increase your betting stake with mindset( if I lose it’s not my hard earned money) or will you maintain your staking status quo?
Winning 2 consecutive days with my parlay on sports betting.

I think it was a few weeks ago when I'm still betting on sports (NBA). What I'm doing at that time is, I'm making one parlay bet every single day. Luckily, I won on my 2 consecutive parlays and although I only put a small amount on those bets, a win is still a win. Smiley Long story short, I immediately withdrew all of that winnings, and used it to buy some Bitcoins (because I used Ethereum on those bets).

How do I feel about those wins? I felt excited "for about 15 seconds only" because as much as I want to be happy with those winnings, I knew that I have more losses than wins in gambling. Luckily, I can control myself not to chase those losses of mine in the past, and just withdrew my winnings. I know that there are some here who chooses to play still even though they already won a huge amount already because they believe that they can still make more money. Kind of the adrenaline rush as they say. Cheesy Not for me though.
163  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do not let the over excitement after the bull-run pull you out to danger on: April 04, 2024, 05:31:06 PM
This has got me to ask, after the bull run and hopefully you hodles your Bitcoin til the ATH and then you have made enough money, are you going to go out there and let those who were in doubt about the profitable potentials of Bitcoin to let them know about your investment in the Bitcoin and how so well you are doing in the industry?
~
After knowing what being jealous could result to, I hope we would keep our mouth shuts and keep up with out anonymities during and after the bull-run.
Silent is safety wise
Nahhh. Not worth it for me.
Making money then sharing it to everyone? You ruined your security already if you did that thing and for me, I don't see any benefits of bragging either your profits that you got in cryptocurrency or sharing your crypto investment with other people especially to those who aren't even interested on learning it or to those people who don't even know what cryptocurrency or Bitcoin is. Cheesy

Just be silent, and focus on your next strategy. For me, that would be a better move than spending your energy bragging those profits just because of your excitement. Spending your energy thinking of your possible next move after getting that huge profits would be beneficial to us as an investor. Saving some money, keeping a portion of your monthly income, and buy again during the bear market. That could be a strategy that we can use.

Don't brag, and stay silent. Sometimes, being humble is the best decision that we can ever do especially when money is related. Smiley

Re: Best altcoin now?
Those top coins. Easy-peasy.
As an investor who can't make a risky move, and invest into some low market cap coins, I would rather invest my money into top altcoins, wait for it's price to pump then sell it at a good time. I would rather wait for months if I know that I can make money in the end than investing in a lower market cap altcoin out there that has a low chance of it to give profit to me.

I will not say any specific altcoins, but at least focus on the top coins because they have the lowest chance of you getting scammed since they have the lowest risk. The reward is lower compare to other altcoins, but I would rather take a lower reward with a lower risk than a higher reward with a higher risk.

Well, if you really want to take a risk, I would suggest those popular coins might give you some profit during the bull runs. Meme coins and RWA are now I think the top 2 categories that are becoming more and more popular. You can invest into them and maybe get some profits as well. Smiley
165  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What makes a post to be quality? on: April 04, 2024, 04:36:10 PM
~
What makes a post to be quality? Good English language or the content of the post?.
And if good English, well written in good sentences defines a post to be quality is it that Non English speakers are not qualify to be in this forum or to discuss in general boards because they are only good in speaking broken English which is a borrowed language.
Learning at least how to be a decent English speaker would help. When I registered here in the forum, my English is kind of broken TBH. What I did at that time is that, I spent hours and hours watching videos that are English subtitled. Documentaries, entertaining videos, tutorials. Everything that is English. I learned from it and fairly enough, I learned from it. I'm not an expert in communicating using English language since it isn't my primary language but I can say that my English isn't broken compare to other users here. Cheesy Sorry. Sorry.

Anyway, I can't say the exact factors on a post to be "at a high quality", but what I'm doing is that, I'm just sharing what I know, and just being me. If you're a good English speaker or at least a decent one, it will reflect towards the content of your post. A not-so-good English speaker can't make good post because his English is kind of broken. On the other hand, those users here that has English as their primary language will create a good to high quality posts here. At least that's my observation.

It wasn't stated in the rules that Non-English speakers aren't quality to share their opinion in different boards outside of the local board. It's just that, being good or at least decent in speaking English would help you in terms of the quality of your posts.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MuskyDoge hidden gem? on: April 04, 2024, 04:01:43 PM
What do you guys think of MuskyDoge? Memecoin turned company with paintball game and e-sports? It has a really low market cap.

https://youtu.be/YcfTTbPCWpc

muskydoge.net
E-sports?
I already have a trauma with Axie Infinity. Tongue They also said that they will be going to E-sports back when the hype of NFT games was at it's peak. Now where they at right now? Yes the game is still developing, and I don't know how many Daily Active Users the game has, but I doubt that it will happen.

If there's 2 things that I will be putting on my mind for the whole bull market season, that would be "Avoid new memecoins at all cost" and "Avoid low market cap coins". I know that during the bull run, most of the prices of the coins tend to go up, but most of the low market cap ones might not pump. Still, I don't want to risk my money into some meme coins that has a low market cap.

To those newbie investors out there, I know that the hype around meme coins is at it's peak, but please as much as possible, avoid low market cap memecoins like this one.
167  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let the countdown begin❗️ on: April 03, 2024, 08:14:41 PM
We're currently in the midst of the halving month, with only 17 days left until the most anticipated event of Bitcoin, which occurs once every four years. If you are a crypto investor, it's important to stay informed and prepared for potential opportunities that may come during this time in the market, potentially towards bullish trends. For all crypto enthusiasts out there, how are you planning and preparing for potential market opportunities during this crucial period? Share your strategies, guys.
I just hope that everybody here is ready for what to come because the market will be very exciting. Cheesy

How can I say that it would be exciting? It's because most of the investors who risked their money and bought many coins during the bear market are the ones that will sell their coins that they held for a long time. Exciting because we will see every price of the top coins whether it would be Bitcoin, Ethereum or other coins going up significantly.

I just hope that everyone of us have their own selling strategy already because bull run is time where we take the profits from our investments. Bull run isn't a good time to buy for me, but a perfect time to sell our assets. How am I planning? I've planned it already since last year. I've already put selling target prices, and whatever happens, I will sell when it reaches that point. I already created an spreadsheet where I put there all of the selling targets of every coin. Just for the record. Cheesy
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you considered staking? on: April 03, 2024, 08:01:00 PM
Just out of curiosity,I went to the official website of Ethereum and found that the annual interest rate is only 3.3%.
If you investing into Ethereum just because of staking, it isn't a good option because there are many altcoins that gives more APR.
Solana gives 7%, same with Aptos. Celestia gives 14%, Polkadot and Dymension gives 11%. The list goes on, and on, and on.

Now if you want to buy Ethereum for the long term, it's one of the best altcoins to hold that's for sure. I don't need to explain it furthermore, but the fact that it's the top altcoin in terms of market cap makes it one of the best coins to hold for long run.
Quote
Re: Have you considered staking?
I've been doing it for a long time, and I've got some profits just by holding some staking coins already. I mean it's another way of earning passive income, and who doesn't want to earn just by basically holding the coin?  Grin It's free money. Of course, there are some risks into it such as impermanent loss but as long as you believe in the project then it doesn't matter.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sold all my shib for litecoin on: April 03, 2024, 07:30:36 PM
Recently I bought around 1000 dollars of litecoin (I sold 1000 dollars of my bitcoin for it) and I've already made a 20% gain. I decided to buy more LTC by selling the 690 dollars of shib bringing the grand total of my litecoin to 2000 dollars USD. Is this bad or does LTC have a future? I've seen a lot about how LTC has a possible ETF in the far future. I am a long holder (5 years at least) btw.
TBH, Litecoin has been one of the coins that remained on the top for a very long time, but it's very silent, and not being talked online.
Unlike many meme coins out there, no one is talking about Litecoin and to be honest, I've been thinking of holding some Litecoin for long-term, but I completely forgot it already, and I invested into other altcoins.

Well, Litecoin like other altcoins out there will pump on it's price during the bull run, but with how unpopular it is, I don't think that it will surpass it's past ATH of ~$400. I don't know if there's some development or some added features to that coin anymore, but if you're looking for a coin that's considered "established", Litecoin can be that coin. I mean it has been at the top for a very long time already. The only problem is because of it's unpopularity (IMO), it's place at the top in terms of market might slowly go down like what happened with other coins such as EOS, IOTA, and others.

Does Litecoin have a future? I don't know because I didn't heard any upgrades on the project, or I might be wrong and they're working in silence to the point that nobody is talking about them anymore. I guess if you want for a short to mid term profit for the upcoming bull run, Litecoin isn't a good choice, but if you're in for long-term, Litecoin is a good coin to hold, but there are other projects that I find better to hold in the long run like Ethereum.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to find a best bounty campaign to join ? on: April 03, 2024, 06:59:06 PM
I want to join some bounty campaign to have some extra income....but looking at the bounties section..it is very confusing and I am not able to decide what to join,I don't want to waste time in some scam projects.
If possible can I get list of some good bounty managers with their telegram channel link.
Unfortunately, scam projects will never be prevented. You might run into some bounty campaigns that might not pay bounty hunters like you after promoting them in different social media platforms.

For sure, users here already shared a list of reputable campaign managers where you can join in their bounty campaigns that they're launching but at the end of the day, a bounty campaign that's being launched by a reputable campaign manager doesn't mean a success and you can get money through it already. It still has risks whoever the manager is. You want some income? As a member ranked, I would rather find another source of income than joining bounty campaigns. Don't be like other users here who are just spending their time posting proof of authentications on bounty section just to earn a few bucks.

Find another way to earn money, but at the same time, learn more about cryptocurrency. Even just the basics will do. Smiley Good Luck, OP.
171  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for April on: April 03, 2024, 06:25:45 PM
6 consecutive months of all-green candles.
I'm thinking that this time, we might see Bitcoin ending the month with a red candle.

Don't get me wrong though. I believe that at some point this year, we will see at least 1 or 2 red candles before a series of green candles that will trigger the bull run. We will see Bitcoin's price going sideways first for the next 1 to 2 months before going up significantly. That's what happened in it's previous halving event in 2020. Bitcoin went sideways, there are times where it went down if you will look at the monthly chart but in the long run, we will see Bitcoin's price going up.

As much as I want to be optimistic for the month of April, I believe that the event will have little to no effect towards the price of Bitcoin at least in the short run. The effect will be felt months after.
172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 03, 2024, 06:04:25 PM
Luka Dončić has a big contract extension. He played 65 games this season so he can get max contract extension next season for 5-year $346 million deal. This would make him the highest earner in NBA. I think he deserves it but Mavericks need to put more role players to help him if they want a championship.
By the way Mark Cuban said Dončić is better than Dirk, this is a bold statement. He put Dončić as the highest place. He should crown these praises with a ring though.
He said this so that Doncic will re-sign again. Tongue Business tactics  Grin
Kidding aside, I don't think that Doncic is on a status already where he surpassed Dirk. I would compare both of them again if Luka will lead the Mavericks to another title.

He might be eligible, but the question is "Will he stay?" "Will he choose to sign that big contract extension instead of just sacrificing a bit of a money in order for them to sign better role players". Speaking of role players, they already have good players actually. The only problem is that, they've only gotten better after the all-star game. TBH, the competition in the West is as tough as it is last season. Well, they're at the 5th spot currently. Only 2 games behind the Clippers, but only 1 game above the 8th seeded Phoenix so they're current spot isn't still secured knowing that they still have 7 games remaining. A mere 3-game losing streak can put them at the play-in spot.

~
Same here, he turned the young OKC like a championship team.
~
~
But let's see if this year's playoff will be a different story. Can we see the Timberwolves and Thunder make it past the first round?
He might be saying "A future championship team" because like you said, they might be the most improved team this season, but with their inexperience in the playoffs, I don't also see them winning the title "AT LEAST" this season only.

Timberwolves and Thunder passing the first round? Hmmm it will depend on the team they will be facing. If they will be facing like Sacramento or New Orleans, they have a chance, but if they will be matched up against Phoenix or even LA if possible, I believe they will be having a problem just because of experience in the playoffs.
173  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the current bitcoin bull run confirmed now ? on: April 02, 2024, 06:07:04 PM
We had bitcoin touching even $70k not long ago. It has almost doubled in few months. Is this the sign of current bull run. Or we can expect even more movement and then the bull run will be confirmed ?
Back when Bitcoin didn't reached the $70,000 yet, my prediction is that, I don't see that we are in a bull run yet until we see Bitcoin reached and surpass that $70,000 price range "AND" stay above that price for weeks to months.

It surpassed that price yes, but it didn't stay for that long, and we've seen Bitcoin's price going down below $70,000 many times already, and currently it's happening. Market is going down, and people are starting to panic blah blah. Anyway, because of that I don't think that we are in a bull run yet. We might see the market on a bull run a few months after the Bitcoin halving event. Well, that's always the case in the past 2 halving events.

Overall, I don't think that we are in a bull run yet. Price touching the $70,000 isn't enough to say that we are already, and I guess the downward movement that happened in the last few weeks is good enough to say that we aren't yet.
174  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 190K in 2024? on: April 02, 2024, 04:45:36 PM
~
Is 190K too humble or very generous in your consideration? What's your price plans for selling your holdings?
Too high for me, but anything can happen with Bitcoin. It's only a matter of "what are the chances that this scenario will happen?"

For me, $190,000 is too high considering that it's too high. I don't see that Bitcoin will making that much upside to a point where it will surpass the $150,000 price because I believe that it's peak will just be at that price. I only see Bitcoin making at least 2x from it's previous ATH of near $69,000. Well, we don't know what can happen with Bitcoin in the bull run. We might see Bitcoin not even reaching the $100,000 during the bull run or we might see Bitcoin reaching as high as $200,000.

One thing's for sure though. Those who risked their money during the bear market, and bought as many Bitcoins as they can are the ones who are getting the most profits right now.

Re: Claw Machines: a category of gambling?
A quick google search of "definition of gambling" will lead you to this one:
Quote
Gambling is the act of wagering or betting on an event with an uncertain outcome, with the primary intent of winning money or material goods. It requires three elements to be present: consideration (an amount wagered), risk (chance), and a prize.
Let's consider the 3 elements that must be present in Claw machines.
1. Amount Wagered - In order for a person to win on claw machine, he must use his own money, or buy tokens to play the game.
2. Risk - of course there's a risk on claw machines. Risk of not getting the price for various reasons such as: you don't know the game, you are dumb, etc.
3. Prize - no further explanation because we know that we are playing the game because there's a prize on it.

Just by looking at these 3 elements, we can say that claw machine is considered as gambling because you are wagering your money for the sake of the prize, and of course there's a risk that you might not get that prize.
176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 02, 2024, 04:21:19 PM
Rockets needs to adjust and keep running to chase the open man, it's tough to protect the arc but it's needed to intercept the outside shots of their opponents, like what you said, they need to protect that area as gunners are just waiting for the outside drop and ready to take it whenever they see the opportunities.
Talent wise it's the Dallas that had the edge, Rockets are just lucky to have a winning streak and still close with the Warriors in replacing them int he 10. But although the Rockets have improve, we cannot deny that the Dallas have been playing their best season so far, so a lose to this hot team is not surprising. In fact, I still think that they will not past first round in case they'll make it to the playoffs, who would they play? The Nuggets? They can't beat the defending champ, but they will lucky if they'll face the OKC as they are also a young team.
Nah, they might not clinch the playoffs if the Rockets will get that 10th seed TBH.

They will just get defeated by the Lakers who is shooting more than 20 free throws per game because every time they play, it's been a 8 vs. 5 for the opposing team. If you know what I mean. Cheesy Kidding aside, I don't want to get biased on this one, but who doesn't want to see 2 great stars playing for a playoff spot? I mean we've seen the Lakers and the Warriors facing the 2nd round last season, and now they're facing again, but this time for the 9th spot.

As for the Dallas, they've been improved a lot ever since they got Gafford and Washington. They've been a hot team after the all-star. It's just that, the Western Conference as a whole is packed with all-star players especially those playoff contender teams like the Timberwolves, Nuggets, Thunder, etc. In fact, they are 6th in offensive rating the whole season with 118.6 ORTG. If there's one problem that I see with the Mavericks, it's Kyrie Irving. Not because of his drama because ever since he went to Dallas, we aren't hearing anything about him anymore, but he's injury-prone. I know that they still have Luka, but not having Kyrie would be a problem for them. One injury from your all-star player can change the outcome of the series.
177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countdown to the 4th Bitcoin halving.. what should we expect? on: April 02, 2024, 04:02:27 PM
~
Some may wonder how this affects the price of Bitcoin going forward. From historical data, Bitcoin has always risen after the previous three halvings. Let's see if this trend continues.

What's your take on this? How excited are you for this halving, and what's your prediction for BTC price movements?
Well, you said it already. Supply will be cut into half, demand will stay the same if not increase therefore, the price of Bitcoin will increase in the long run. Let's also include the fact that there is a Spot Bitcoin ETFs that have been approved, and ever since they operated, there has been a huge amount of Bitcoin going to these companies. There will be a "supply shock" that will happen.

Miners will be the most affected on this one because their profitability will be reduced, but with the price of Bitcoin increasing, I think it will cover that loss in the long run. Based on history, the price of Bitcoin goes up a months after the halving event, and like what happened in the last 3 halving events, I believe that it will happen again this time. Trend will continue because. How excited I am? Hmmm, not really because I've seen it happened once already during the pandemic and TBH, nothing significant will happen. The day when it will happen will just be a normal day for us investors. Price will not get impacted right away that's for sure.

Prediction? Bitcoin will reach $100,000 by Q4 of 2023 at least.
178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DO NOT BRAG ABOUT YOUR BITCOIN on: April 02, 2024, 03:41:11 PM
Perhaps it will help if your coins are stored in different wallets. If such a thing happens, God forbid, you will give the information of only one wallet.
When I start to re-accumulate Bitcoins again during the bear market after this bull run, I will do this one. TBH, I'm storing all of my Bitcoins on one wallet only, and I know, I know it's risky to store all of my Bitcoins in one wallet only, but I already made sure that no one knows where I'm storing it. After all, I'm the only one in our community that's involved into crypto, so they don't know how to steal it. Cheesy

Quote
Re: DO NOT BRAG ABOUT YOUR BITCOIN
I don't see any benefit of bragging the amount of Bitcoins that you're holding to other people.
No benefits. Just pure risk. Risking your security for the sake of what?

I mean there's no reason at least for me to brag that I'm holding X amount of Bitcoin. I might say that I'm holding some Bitcoin, but I will not tell the amount, and I will teach them how to invest into Bitcoin instead of bragging.
179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Solana still Worth buying?? on: April 02, 2024, 02:58:38 PM
And still its more than $185+ .many people still thinks solana would pump more. So they keep buying solana with such believe.
What do you think? Is Solana still Worth buying cause price is tooo much pump already.
Many people think that it will still pump despite it's price going higher compare to it was a few years ago because we aren't in a bull run yet. Many expect that Bitcoin's price will reach $100,000 this upcoming bull run, and take note that prices of altcoins move the same as how Bitcoin's price moves.

You said it as well. They believe that it will go up even more hence, they're buying more. It's like the same as those people who are still buying Bitcoin even though the price is at $70,000 already. Even though the price of Solana will reach $250 or even $300 during the bull run, many will still buy it because they believe that they can still make profit off of it. Is Solana still worth buying? It will depend. If you're buying because you believe that it will go even higher this upcoming bull run then it's still worth buying. Don't look at the price, but look at where we at right now, and the project itself. It has been one of the most popular coins for months that's why it's price went up.

Just buy if you believe that it will go up even more, and don't if you don't believe it will. Smiley
180  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's your next step if you experience a Great BEAR MARKET ? on: April 01, 2024, 07:33:35 PM
~
Initially you want to hold for a very long time but as a result of the bear market you loose your capital and half your investment yet the market is showing no sign for you to recover.
What's your next step as a first timer in Bitcoin /Altcoin trading?
It's good that you stated here the term "trading" because it would be a different case if you're just buying and holding.
If you're a trader, you must learn how to use the stop-loss feature.

It would be a different case if you're buying and holding because you still have an option to sell your Bitcoins at a loss, or you will hold it for a long time and as you hold, you will continue to accumulate even more Bitcoins because the perfect time to buy not only Bitcoins, but altcoins as well is during the bear market. Bear markets are very harsh especially if you're one of the many investors that will be buying Bitcoin at a higher price, and if you're a newbie, you might panic because you will see your portfolio being down more than 50%. You will see your capital being reduced to maybe around 70%-80% of your initial capital, but if you're into crypto for quite some time, you will not that market moves in cycles, and in ~3-4 years, the market will rise up again.

If you're a trader, use the stop-loss feature. If you're a long-term holder of Bitcoin, you have an option to make a stop-loss, or will continue holding it, and continue buying it as well.
