1101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your first purchase in btc: the craziest, the most moving, the most expensive on: July 01, 2023, 01:33:59 AM
~
What was your first purchase in btc that was a special event for you : it was nice, cute, exciting or great. If you hodl, will you ever spend your btc ?

If you're a dreamer, what would be your dream ?
It's always great (at least for me) to share some of my past experiences here in the forum that's related to Bitcoin or crypto in general. Smiley

First purchase in Bitcoin? I can't remember if there are some earlier purchases that I've did before this one, but what I remember is I built a personal computer using Bitcoin. Well, I didn't use Bitcoin to pay directly obviously, but I converted my Bitcoins just to build my first PC. If I remember correctly, I converted nearly 0.08 BTC, and that was in 2019. Just imagine if I choose to hold it , and sold last bull run, and didn't bought a computer. I would've been richer right now, but of course we don't know the future, and TBH I don't have no regrets on it because I didn't have any computers to use at that time, and I urgently need it.

What would be my dream? Hold cryptocurrencies as much as I can, profit on it as much I can, and use it to help others. I know that sounds a bit crazy, and it might took a long time, but that's my dream. Smiley
1102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a good time to buy BNB? on: July 01, 2023, 01:14:36 AM
~
I'm wondering if now is the good time to buy BNB or should I wait a little bit more? The crypto market is still bearish, so we should expect further pressure against an altcoin like BNB in the short term. Who knows if BNB will reach higher prices in the future? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
The best time to buy is when the price of it dipped because of SEC. I guess if we only bought at that time, and waited for a few weeks, we've made a few to a hundred bucks on it just by holding it for short term.

Binance had many problems in the past already, and all of them failed to put the company down, and so is SEC as well. I guess the effect of the recent problem within Binance and SEC on the market is already going down already, and it has little to no effect anymore. As for the question, with Binance being the most popular CEX currently, I think it's a good time to buy, and hold BNB for short to mid term IMO. Buying now, and wait for the bull market in 1-2 years will yield you profits for sure.

Ohhh wait. Gary Gensler hated Binance so much after what happened with FTX, so there's a chance that he will do what he did again in the future. Of course that will be an opportunity for us to buy more BNB. Smiley
1103  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do when you have Financial Freedom? on: June 30, 2023, 03:48:22 PM
~
Now my question in such a situation is when you already have financial freedom. then what are you going to do to enjoy your life and enjoy that financial freedom?
It's easy to say to other people that they've reached the point where they are financially free, but the reality is, they will, but only for a brief moment. It's because most people aren't contented with what they have especially when we are talking about money?  There are people whose dream is to just have a million dollars, and when they reached that price, they will ask for a higher, and a higher amount in the future.

Anyway, let's just look at the quick definition of financial freedom on one of the websites: https://smartasset.com/financial-advisor/financial-freedom
Quote
Financial freedom is a state of having enough money and assets to live the way you want without being dependent on a fixed income
Take note that term "enough" is a broad word, and sometimes people don't know what's enough for them especially when it comes to money. I guess if a person have enough passive income to support his monthly needs then we can consider that person as a financially free already?

Well, TBH I don't know what will I do if I reached that status of my life already. I guess I will just help other people in some ways, and as a person that has a huge empathy to animals especially dogs, I think I'll just help those NGO's that is focused on dogs, and other animals. Anyway, I'm still far from being financially free, but I think I'm having a progress every single day for me to achieve that thing.
1104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 30, 2023, 11:49:07 AM
It's been a few days since I've been analyzing the negotiations/trades that are happening with several NBA teams, especially the last draft.

Wemby is one of the most commented and discussed player nowdays.
I even believe there is a hype.

I clearly remember the Holmgren's injury at the beginning of the last season

Chet Holmgren and Victor Wembanyama are similar players, they are tall, they have good ball handling, they can shoot, they are fast players and they are also skinny and maybe even fragile compared to other NBA players.

Something that worries me is Wemby's body.
Guys, do you believe, Wemby could get injured soon because of his skinny body size?
I will just base on history with regards to 7 foot players in the NBA.

There are many 7 footers that played in the NBA, and not all of them have a long NBA career. Which 7 footer has the longest NBA career? If you know Zydraunas Ilgauskas of the Cavaliers. The old teammate of Lebron. He has the longest NBA career as a 7 footer with 13 seasons. Most of them had short NBA careers, and the main reason is injuries.

Now I'm not saying that Wemby, and Chet will have a short season, but I expect them to be injury prone especially Wemby if his body will stay like that. It's good that Holmgren at least gained weight, and his body frame is better now compare to what it was when he got drafted. For sure it will be the same for Wemby, or else he might be an injury prone player. We know how the pace of the NBA is. It's always very fast.

Wembanyama has been hyped by the media for months already, so I hope that he will reach the expectation of the NBA Fans especially those Spurs fans who have been very happy to get the number 1 pick in this year's draft.

Is it the right time to invest in Bitcoin?

All my friends are talking about cryptocurrencies, but I still can't wrap my head around it. What would you recommend for someone who has no previous experience? Do any of you have resources that you can recommend to me that will explain cryptocurrencies in the shortest and most simple way?
If you have any success stories you would like to share, I would be very grateful if I could benefit from them as well...
Is it the right time to invest in Bitcoin? Anytime is the right time to invest into Bitcoin, but there's one time where many will not recommend buying Bitcoin, and that's when the bull run peaked. When? We don't know, but that's the worst time to invest into Bitcoin. Aside from that, anytime is a right time to invest into it.

All of your friends are talking about crypto? Why you don't just ask to them instead of asking to us? Though it wasn't bad to ask here because obviously you will get more information here than your friends, it would be better if you approached them first then asked this question. What would we recommend to someone that has no experience? Obviously you need to do some research if you really are interested in learning Bitcoin. Reading articles, watching videos, watching documentaries is the ones I'd recommend especially the last one because that helped me a lot. Documentaries is a big thing for a newbie because they will tell you anything about something. Resources? There are many online. Your friends are considered as resources as well because they can be a good source of information for a newbie like you.

I have no success story, but what I can share is that, long term investing works. It works for me. It works for those who are thinking long term about investing into Bitcoin.
1106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 28, 2023, 02:25:13 PM
I'm glad to hear that the Suns are apparently willing to keep DeAndre Ayton now instead of trade him for next to nothing.  Pretty crazy that they almost dealt him for JaVale McGee, Tim Hardaway Jr. & Richaun Holmes.  I think Ayton is worth a lot more than that and I hope he's able to have another year like in their Finals run a couple years back.  He's definitely capable of being one of the top centers in the league, he just needs some development help.  Monty Williams did a horrible job with him and I think if the Suns focus on him they'll have their best chance at getting back into the Finals.
It would be better for the Suns to just keep him TBH.

Their coach is a defensive minded coach therefore, it would be more beneficial for Ayton as he would be focusing more on defense, and let the other 3 shooters focus on offense as well. What they Suns need is a bunch of role players that's also good on defense, and some offense players that would sub out if anybody of the three are in the bench, or got injured. Overall, it's pretty obvious that the Suns will decline on the Mavericks trade because like you said, Ayton's worth is more than that. On the other hand, I guess the Suns are still interested in trading Ayton, but they will just trade him if they will get some good defensive players.

There is also a news that Donte DiVincenzo is entering unrestricted free agency and will not sign with his player option with Warriors. So I guess the Warriors will have to lost another part of their rotation in Donte, coming off the bench, scoring almost 10 points per game.

So Poole and then Donte, I guess the Warriors bench will not be that deep, but they are going to totally rely on their offense.

Maybe seeing Paul and Steph starting at the same time.
It's expected (at least for me) since many are saying that DiVincenzo will be a UFA next season, and it really happened.

They can still get some good role players out there. I did a quick search on who are the free agents right now that is in the Guard position, and I see names like Bruce Brown, Max Strus, Seth Curry & Ty Jerome. These are just UFA currently, and some of them might be resigned by their teams last season. Overall, there are many guards out there who can cover the offense that Poole, and DiVincenzo can give. Steve Kerr is very good at developing players, and we've seen it when he became the head coach of the team.

As for CP3, and Steph starting at the same time, I don't think that it will happen, and it would be beneficial for the whole team if he will play as a bench. The Warriors are one of the top teams in terms of pacing, and CP3's way of playing is very slow, and he's injury prone. Teams who have fast pace playstyle tend to injure their hamstring the most. I think the reason why the Warriors get Paul is to cover the PG position if Steph is on the bench.

Them being together in the same court might be possible at some time, but both of them as a starter? I don't think that it will happen unless they will get 2 big players as starters as well, but that also affects their pacing.
1107  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price, Where Next on: June 27, 2023, 03:03:07 AM
Bitcoin might stay above $30,000 and will go sideways to around $30,000-maybe $40,000 this year, or Bitcoin might go below $30,000 and might reach the $20,000 price again.

Like what happened in 2019, the market is kind of boring because most of the time, it goes sideways. The only good thing about what's happening is that, it is creating a higher lows like what we are seeing right now. I don't believe that we are in a bull market this year now, but I think we are still in the accumulation phase where investors are slowly accumulating Bitcoin in preparation for the bull market that "MIGHT" happen a few months after the Bitcoin halving which happens next year.

The price of Bitcoin might get affected by the decision regarding the Bitcoin ETF filed by Blackrock, and TBH it might go both ways. I just don't know why I feel a bit bad about the acceptance of a Bitcoin ETF from Blackrock (assuming that it will get accepted).
1108  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I Recover my loss of crypto on this platform? on: June 27, 2023, 02:08:49 AM
Hay, I am New here and know about Bitcoin for the last few years but I lost many times in crypto trading. So my question is that how to trade Securely and profitably?
Learn, Research, Apply.

I guess these 3 alone is enough for you to learn trading already. Now with your question, there are no ways to trade securely, and profitably with 100% win rate because even experts can't achieve that one. We are in a market where everything is unpredictable, and even those who are experts in Technical Analysis can't even predict the market with a high accuracy rate. Also take note that trading is for everyone, but not everyone can make profit thru trading. There will always be losers, and it happens that you're one of them. Try to learn, and research. Smiley You lost many times already? I guess you need to take a break first, make a decision whether you want to continue or not.

And what are the rules and regulations for me that must follow this platform recommended some close ones will say you will learn from this platform so much and I hope to recover from the loss and get a lot of benefits and knowledge gain that is why I am very excited to hear.
Rules and regulations? None. Just learn how to trade, and that's all.

Sometimes, letting go of your losses is the best way to move on. Smiley There are some traders out there who can't recover from their losses, try to trade more, and now they are losing more money. I'm not saying that it will happen to you as well, but also take note that sometimes stopping is the best way to go. Anyway, if you want knowledge, there are many sources online that can help you. It helped me a bit, and got some profit thru these resources online though I'm still not successful in trading, and still experiencing losses.
1109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 27, 2023, 01:38:38 AM
Rumors are that Damian Lillard is not happy that the Trailblazers didn’t try and trade their pick to get him some win now help. He’s also basically stated that he wants to be in Miami with Bam and Jimmy. It seems like this is going to happen and probably going to happen this week. I still think the Beal trade is the big move so far though.

Damian Lillard and his manager Aaron Goodwin will meet with the team today to discuss the team's trajectory!
Damian Lillard may have some requests from the team and if these do not come true, he may want to leave the team.
I did try to research a bit hoping that there is a confirmation to these rumors surrounding Dame, but it seems like there isn't as of this moment.
I've seen articles saying that "Dame will stay with Portland", and some stating the teams that's interested in him. These are coming from some reliable sports websites as well.

TBH, if loyalty is useless if you really can't win a title on that team. The culture around the Blazers isn't good for a title contender. Just look at Durant. He left OKC because he know he can't win a title there, and went to Warriors to win 2 titles. If Dame really values the title more than the loyalty then it's time for him to go out of Portland, and go to other team like Miami, or even Brooklyn. The roster around him isn't enough for him to give a title, and he said already that he don't want to play with young players because of the time he left to play.

Overall, I hope that after this meeting, there will be a decision that will be made coming from Dame, and his manager.

P.S. Just a few minutes after the meeting, I saw a Facebook post (NBA BUZZ) saying that the Blazers GM "is committed to building a winner around Dame". I guess this is a sign that Lillard will stay in Portland, but stay alert because anything can happen so fast including trades.
1110  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin high transaction fees is a disadvantage to small business owners on: June 26, 2023, 02:30:43 PM
Lightning Network is the solution for this one.

Unfortunately, not many are using it for various reasons thus, business owners like the OP who are accepting Bitcoin as an alternative way of payment might be selling at a loss because they're the ones that will shoulder the fees, and that affects the total revenue of the business. Of course it differs when the price of Bitcoin goes up because you might get those fees that you've paid thru capital appreciation.

Right now, Bitcoin as an alternative way of payment is only applicable to huge business that have large transaction like maybe a corporation, or maybe if some real estate agents who are selling homes are accepting Bitcoin then we can add it on the list as well. Overall, it isn't worth it for small business owners to accept Bitcoin as another way of payment, but there are other altcoins out there who has a lower transaction fee, and lower transaction speed. You can use that altcoins as well aside from Bitcoin if you really want to integrate cryptocurrency in your business.

Overall, this is one reason why I don't believe Bitcoin will be accepted as a currency globally. Compare to fiat, more people will just use fiat when they are paying just because of lower to no fees at all.
1111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to borrow ETH to buy BTC? on: June 26, 2023, 10:17:39 AM
May I ask you to share your experience and advise about how to borrow ETH to buy BTC, please? I'm interested in taking adventage of price action so could be settled off-chain.
Why not just find a daily job, keep a percent of your salary, and just buy Bitcoin?
I mean why taking a loan if you don't have any collateral at all? Maybe go to a bank, put anything that you own as a collateral to get a loan, and use that loan to buy Bitcoin. Why putting yourself in so much stress to the point that you want to borrow ETH just to buy Bitcoin?

I can't understand the logic behind the OP's question. Why borrow ETH to buy BTC? It doesn't make any sense at all. I also don't know if some lenders here will let you borrow money just by looking at your rank alone. Overall, just go to work, and use that money to buy Bitcoin.
1112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Become Currency of Nations in 10-15 Years on: June 26, 2023, 06:23:39 AM
I don't know, but is there a time where people are saying that Gold will become a global currency in 10-15 years? Are there some people saying that Gold will be the next global currency just because it is becoming popular? I might not be born when they said it, so if anybody can confirm that would be good.

I said it because many are thinking of Bitcoin as a global currency just because of it becoming more and more popular. I mean look at the negative side of it as well. Yes Bitcoin is for everyone, but can everyone have access to it? Are all the people interested in using it? TBH, there might be some who will just stick to what they know is convenient, and that is to continue to use the Fiat currency.

At the same time, I also don't think that the Governments will allow to happen such thing. Like I'm always saying, governments will use their full power in whatever they want especially the US government, and that includes the current currencies. I guess let's just forget about it. Bitcoin is considered an asset for some other people as well, so Bitcoin becoming a global currency in the next decade might happen, but what are the chances? Close to zero IMO.
1113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 26, 2023, 01:56:12 AM
Not official, it could be just a rumor, but I heard that the Knicks is pursuing Zach Lavine? It says that the Bull are looking for young players and future draft picks and of course salaries as well.

So it might be Brunson, LaVine and then Randle for their own version of big 3. Bulls have been inconsistent in the last 2 seasons though, we thought that they might be a different version with the acquisition of DeRozan but it seem they have been plague with injuries.

I'm inclined if that will indeed happen because the Knicks duo is going to need another player to keep their stats working and so that the team will achieve much further than what they had in the last run plus I don't know why the New York Knicks were really silent in the draft night.

Anyway, regarding about that speculation. I've read that Zach Lavine is not interested with it, so it's a no-no.

Zach LaVine camp would be against a Knicks trade: source

Ok good, and maybe that rumor is not true at all, but who knows, there are some crazy trades that is going around.

As for the Ayton trade, yes it should be made, the guy obviously wanted out of the Phoenix Suns based on his performance and those who are critical about it. But in exchange of Tobias Harris? they are already loaded with scorers and shooters already, KD and Booker is already good for Phoenix now. They already let go of CP3, so they might at least get a good big man in exchange of Ayton and not another scorer. Bad decision for the management in this one and I think the Suns are going to be Nets 2.0.
In contrary, I've seen articles online saying that the Suns will keep Ayton: https://www.si.com/nba/2023/06/25/suns-plan-keep-deandre-ayton-despite-roster-shake-up
Quote
Despite rumors to the contrary, the Suns do not plan on trading center Deandre Ayton, Bleacher Report’s Chris Haynes reported Sunday. Phoenix believes Ayton’s value is at an all-time high and wants to see him play alongside Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and the newly acquired Bradley Beal.

Sports Illustrated has been a reliable source of sports information IMO, so I guess we can safely say that the Suns aren't interested in trading him? Especially for Tobias Harris which is an obvious loss for them as they will give away a good center just for a forward that hasn't have that much impact in the Sixers. They will not get another good big man because they will stay with Ayton, and I think with their new coach, we might see him develop even more because we know Coach Vogel's specialty is defense.

Forget about the three team trade, or Ayton getting trade for the meantime. Smiley
1114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could this be a trap? on: June 25, 2023, 02:54:56 PM
Is of no doubt the market has already turned green and ETH surpasses 1.9k, though I was having this feeling to enter the market now that we have full confidence that we are no longer going dip. But I am a bit confused if this could be a bear trap, what do you think of the market is there any good analyst to give accurate results on what would happen next or to know if this is a bear trap.
What you said might be true, or it might be not as well.
Analysts giving accurate results? I guess you're just dreaming. Analysts who are saying their opinions on the current market are just speculating as well just like us. They might seem experts, but they can't predict the market with 100% accuracy. Why? it's because no one can predict the market.

Bear trap or not, this current uptrend gave good profits to those who positioned long in their trades. Anyway, some made profit, and some lost their money, but me as a Bitcoin holder isn't affected that much by this because I'm holding for long term. I guess expect a downward movement in the upcoming weeks as investors might take profit again, and we might see Bitcoin go below $30,000 again.
1115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A bitcoin retirement plan with a disturbing length of years. on: June 25, 2023, 02:28:07 PM
16 years for me isn't that long. Take note that the Stock Market is existing for many years already, and there are some studies that have been conducted, and on that, it shows that if you just invested on index funds for a certain amount of years, it's 100% certain that you will get profit.

Of course stock market isn't equal to cryptocurrency because like you said, we don't know the future of it, but I'm pretty sure that many here are holding their Bitcoin for more than 5 years already, some might even go as high as 10 years, and there might be some that's higher. As for me, I'm planning to hold my Bitcoin for at least 5 years then from that, I don't know what I will do with my Bitcoins.

Well if history repeats itself, Bitcoin in 16 years might reach as high as $500,000 or a million. We don't know what can be the price of it at that time, but history shows that the trend of the price of Bitcoin is uptrend... so I guess I can say that your colleague's decision might be right, but of course there are some risks to it like the fact that we don't know what can Bitcoin be 16 years from now, and the like.
1116  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: A Dumb way to scam forum members on: June 25, 2023, 10:51:13 AM
Does he think that we are living in the 50's and 60's right now that we can't distinguish which are scams and which are not?
I wonder where did that scammer came from? Maybe he time travelled, but in reality he's old right now.

Dear Samreomo,

I understand that you have expressed concerns about our lottery program in the forum, accusing it of being fraudulent. I would like to assure you that our lottery program is secure and legitimate, and I would like to address your concerns in detail.

He wasn't aware that this type of scam doesn't work in our forum. However, he tried his best to prove that he was running a legit lottery program. Shame on you Malibitc for trying to scam innocent users.
Now the question is that, is there anybody that's innocent here that will fall out to this kind of trap? I doubt that there will because I believe that people here are intelligent enough to think that this is one of the dumbest, if not the dumbest way to scam here in the forum.

Assurance? Secure? Legitimate? Seems attractive for newbies, but not here in the forum. Cheesy I guess this is the dumbest way of scamming members here since 2020, but kidding aside, it's good that nobody really fell to this kind of scam attempt. I guess it's safe to say that members here are becoming more, and more intelligent, and they can distinguish which are scam, and which are not aren't they? Thanks for the catch OP. Smiley

Not official, it could be just a rumor, but I heard that the Knicks is pursuing Zach Lavine? It says that the Bull are looking for young players and future draft picks and of course salaries as well.

It's still a rumor, but I hope that it will push through, and become true.

TBH, I hope that the big 3 of the Bulls must be separated, trade to other teams, and rebuild. It's obvious that the big 3 of DeRozan, LaVine, and Vucevic didn't work out for them for the last 2-3 years, and it's a wasted time for these 3 all-star players. Putting them in a title contender team would be a good thing. Now the Knicks can build their own big three of Brunson, Lavine, and other player. I want Randle to get traded to other team because he's very unreliable. He is shooting a huge volume of shots that affect the whole team, and if he is having a bad night, he can't help the team in any way. Trade Randle, and get another all-star caliber player.

~
Draymond and Klay both want max contracts and there is no way the Warriors can pay both of them. I think Draymond stays and Klay gets traded. Makes more sense with Poole being traded away. I can't say that's what going to happen for sure, but that's the feeling I have.
And with the new CBA, teams like the Warriors who are one of the highest paying teams will greatly affected.
If they want the core to be intact, it's either Draymond Green, or Thompson will receive a pay cut just because of this new rule. Klay getting traded? I don't think so, but he deserves a pay cut IMO, and if doesn't want that then that's the time for him to get traded.

Green's decision to turn down Warrior's offer was, in my opinion, a bad one. If he ever switches teams, it will be career suicide. He is no longer productive, and his salary will undoubtedly fall after the next season or contract. It's as though his flaw, which has been covered by splash brother, will be revealed. The GSW badly needed a big guy next season, so this could be Kuminga's opportunity to shine and improve.
I just hope that Green's decision will benefit him, and not be the next "Dennis Schroeder". You know what Schroeder did to the Lakers a few years ago where he don't want to sign a 4 year $84M contract, and instead he got a 1 years ~$5M deal which is funny.

I hope that Green will not end up like him, or he will receive criticisms online for sure. Turning down the offer being a bad one? It all depends on his future contract, but one thing's for sure though. You can't rely on him in terms of offense because he's a defensive minded player.
1118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between pi and bitcoin on: June 24, 2023, 04:26:23 PM
Hello guys,I learnt that pi network is a crytocurrency that is beneficial in the community ecosystem that you can mine with,I want to know their clarified differences and if the pi network and bBTC does same functions.

Well, you're a newbie, so questions like this would be normal especially if you aren't knowledgeable enough with regards to cryptocurrencies. Let me give you something that will help you to compare these 2 coins.

Bitcoin is the top cryptocurrency in terms of market cap. Bitcoin is the most trusted cryptocurrency right now. Bitcoin is the most used cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is what I consider the safest cryptocurrency to invest your money if you really want to invest into crypto. I believe there are more things that I can say with regards to Bitcoin, but many here already said it.

On the other hand, PI is like other shitcoins out there who are just promising those users who pre-mined their coins. PI is just another altcoin out there that will just get dumped by those who virtually mined their coin thru their app. PI is just another shitcoin out there that will be worthless in the future. The project has been on development phase for years already, and yet the token isn't tradeable still. It's because they're afraid that those who virtually mined their coin will just dump the coin, which is inevitable because for sure those who mined it (even though they aren't) will surely dump it.

To summarize, Bitcoin is the most trusted cryptocurrency while PI is just one of the altcoins out there that will just get dumped like what happened to other altcoins.

The ideology of this post is to motivate newbies that find it difficult moving forward, cause I believe the're people that fall under such Category, feel free to drop some words of encouragement for them.
TBH, this is the hardest thing that I can do for other people.
You know why? Because I can give some words of encouragement to other people, but that might not be enough for them to do some actions. It's hard to encourage other people.

To motivate newbies that find it difficult moving forward? What do newbies do when they want to learn something? They are spending time to research. They are spending time to learn that thing, and that's what newbies must do. Motivating newbies isn't enough if they don't have the initiative to research, and learn. Maybe you are pertaining to newbies here that have little to no knowledge about crypto, and not those newbie ranked players right?

Words of encouragement for newbies? I guess just continue to research, focus on learning, reach your goals, don't spam here, and don't scam here like @mk4 said. You're in the correct platform if you want information when it comes to cryptocurrency in general.

Hello I am looking to invest my 20,000 dollars for retirement but I don't know the best crypto for me to put into to save myself from inflation. I'm 64 years old and don't have the time to learn the ins and outs of this crypto stuff so if anyone can give me advice I would appreciate it.
You can contact me through the forum or via email I appreciate the help
Our age gap is nearly 4 decades, but as a younger one, I will give my own advice to you with respect as well.

Sir, I don't think that this is the correct platform for you to ask which cryptocurrency is the best for you to put your retirement fund with. I can easily suggest Bitcoin, or even Ethereum, but it seems like you don't know anything about the 2 of them thus, I don't want you to put your money into something that you don't even know. If you really want to invest into cryptocurrency then at least spend some time learning it please because you might see your portfolio losing double digits in span of a few days, and you might feel panicked because of that.

Anyway, whether what you're saying is true or not, I wouldn't suggest any coin for you because it seems like you don't know anything about crypto like what you said already. Just focus that money in different asset class.
