what's going on to NEM'price? We have passed from almost 3btc/stake to 2,15btc/stake  Price is irrelevant at this point. Its still in beta. i don't think so. It means something. NEMStake is pegged to the price of NXT not a price of BTC. This is just because NXT has dropped about 20% in the last few weeks. uhm, ok, thanks for the explanation! i hope that when beta will finally ends, things will change. NEMstakes are irrelevant though. The stake supply is dwindling, users are taking their stakes off the Asset Exchange and registering their tokens. No, as continuously giving away coins mean that existing owners (especially those who paid for it on Nxt AE) continue to lose money. We had one IPO -- not a hundred where you continue to give away coins forever. The new users should buy it . There should be reasons that they should be tempted to buy it. Aruracoin gave the whole country of Iceland "free" coins. It didn't gain "users" -- instead it killed aruracoin as those who got it for free immediately dumped them for BTC. Aurora is dead now. |

no, 4b Don't post BS. The plan was that 75% of the 4 billion would be divided to stakeholders who claim the coins. That's 3 billion -- not 4 billion. Given at least 25% of those who registered in January are unlikely to show up, that means only 50% of coins will be distributed to stakeholders. The other half will be in total control of developers. |

This isn't a new point. Nxt didn't have development fund, so unclaimed coins went to development development. Nem already allocated 25% for the development, and now they are planning to add unclaimed coins to that stash, growing the development fund to 50%. I mentioned this months ago, and back then Jaguar acknowledge this could become a problem. Nothing has been done to fix it, except doing exactly what I warned will happen. Nem has the biggest percentage of coins controlled by the developers, only behind Ripple. 50% of coins would be controlled by the developers. |

Well, the "developers" will decide how they want to "use" them (ahem, give it to their friends). This wouldn't be a problem if they didn't already have any development funds, but they started out allocating 25%. That's 1 billion nem, or 1000 stakes. With unclaimed stakes added, they intend to double that with the control of 2 billion nem. That's the "fair" distribution. |

I don't understand why the unclaimed stakes are not just left alone, it keeps everything in proportion roughly.
If devs want a bigger slice of the pie they should have said so at the beginning.
Devs are not planning to take the unclaimed stakes... This is irrelevant. The developers would be in control of 50% of coins, whether they claim to be using them for themselves or not is totally irrelevant. |

It's funny how many recently launched original coins and apps are having trouble finishing the project on time, or completely failing to release a stable app.
Writing original decentralized applications isn't easy, and there was never even evidence if exo basic "network time" concept was safe or scalable. It probably doesn't even work anyway.

It's a very bad idea to be messing with private keys or accessing any crypto on a public network.. Try to avoided that at if possible.
This isn't NXT. Your private key / secret phrase isn't transmitted over the network, so it doesn't really matter what type of network you use. Private Key/Secret phrase is not transmitted over network in any crypto, not even Nxt. |
