161  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't do this mistakes in trading on: March 18, 2024, 09:59:21 PM
snip...

Its really sad that people neglect the rude nature of the market and they ignore most of the things by taking them in the list of unnecessary its not about the greed and red candles or black and white candles its about making the decision after understanding the phycology of the market.
We mostly fail because of our wrong decision-making. But there is one reason why it goes like this (failure/mistakes) and that is because we are all not able to carry our emotions well which highly affects our minds and making bad calls. That is why I don't say trading is for everyone nor it was for those who have the desire to do it but it is clearly for those who are willing to understand the situation and change their behavior. In fact, to imagine everything we need to use in trading - analysis, chart, etc are available but still, most of us never succeeded. This is probably because we have emotional problem that triggers everything.
162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Management on: March 18, 2024, 08:09:40 PM
Before we could at least manage gambling, we need to show ourselves approved on how effective we were able to manage ourselves and person life, some people cannot make decisions on their own self, else they depend on other people for supportive efforts on what to do, some don't even know what's next neither do they know what is good for them to do, all these are what contribute to why we can see
many behavioral attitudes towards how people gambles because they are all seeing it from different view and understandings.
It's self discipline, without it we will never be successful in what whatever we are doing, especially that involves cash in this manner. We have set a strategy to follow, that includes bankroll management, but if we lose control along the way, we will end up refiling our bankroll from time to time, and worst is if we could not control ourselves to get overly aggressive betting a huge amount of money we cannot afford to lose anymore.
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you continue to trust Trust Wallet? on: March 17, 2024, 10:00:45 PM
Any online wallet can't be fully trusted. Although I use this wallet quite sometimes, I don't have the guts to keep my funds there for long nor have a huge amount stuck there. Trust wallet is just an alternative option when needed but I converted my funds and sent it to my main wallet (electrum). But I don't think it is wrong to use Trust Wallet provided that our computer or any device we use is not compromised already. No matter what kind of storage wallet is if we still using a compromised computer that leads to losing our entire funds.
Anyway, choose the wallet which you think is safe.
164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin becoming Legal tender on: March 15, 2024, 05:43:01 PM
Let's start with defining what is legal tender first.

What Is Legal Tender?

Quote
Legal tender is anything recognized by law as a means to settle a public or private debt or meet a financial obligation, including tax payments, contracts, and legal fines or damages. The national currency is legal tender in practically every country. A creditor is legally obligated to accept legal tender toward repayment of a debt.

This pretty looked like a national currency. Me, I don't like that, I want bitcoin to still be recognized to what it is now, more like a payment method, an alternative to fiat.. That way, less regulation necessary to it, and I think it will not pass as legal tender since it's very volatile, and it's decentralization might be the opposite definition of a government which promotes centralization.

Also, legal tender or fiat (most popular) are not limited, I mean the government could print money if they desire, bitcoin is limited because it's supply is fixed.
165  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should trading be for the rich? on: March 15, 2024, 03:19:27 PM
There are no rich or poor in trading.  But investing is easy for the wealthy.  There are many people who are not able to apply money in trading or any kind of business due to lack of money.  To think from one side, to do business or trading one needs to own some money.  Because there are many people who want to do trading but are unable to do it due to lack of sufficient money.  They should save money first and then invest it in trading or elsewhere.  Because how can you invest money in trading if you don't have enough funds.  If you don't have your own money, if you want to trade with the money borrowed from others, then if you face a loss, then all your money will go and you will have to pay the borrowed money even if you sell your necessary land.  So one should not invest in any kind of business or trading without owning enough money
Not for the rich but for those who can afford it. It means that we need money and it is quite difficult for poor people to make it which gives some people the assumption that this is only for wealthy/rich people. But there is a point in saying that because rich people can spend their money in trading without worrying about anything to possibly lose unlike how poor people responded to the situation.

Even though we think it is for everyone, still we consider the capacity of a trader and one must consider if that person has money enough to support their trading journey. Otherwise, all of this is just a dream and ambition.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: new meme coins with potential? on: March 15, 2024, 02:42:57 PM
Indeed, it seems to be skyrocketing but have you think how long this will stay like this? From my point of view and with my experience in the previous halving and market hype, none of these meme coins are staying long high, if not all, but the majority are falling and even dying. You can take them now while the market is bullish but never think of holding them and looking for something huge because we never know if tomorrow it will drop.
You should be careful in choosing these coins OP because many people lose their money from them.
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still buying altcoins?? on: March 14, 2024, 09:31:59 PM
Are you still buying anything or will think about it later after halving
Accumulation has been done already IMO. What we have now is to wait for a good time to sell.

If we still have the plan to buy, better wait for some correction or at least we buy at the deducted price. At this time, we should be smart enough about which coin we should invest in. For some investors may disagree with me but this is the critical time for buying altcoins. Why? We ain't know what will happen after buying and big possibility that it will drop after hitting its peak. That is why we should carefully analyze the situation first before making a decision or else, we only regret it.
168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 14, 2024, 02:17:07 PM
Anthony Davis still hasn't won against Domantas Sabonis. That's 10-0 now.
Nice trivia, didn't know that. Not happy with that too, lol.. I loss my bet on the Lakers, thinking they are well rested and could bet the home team. Again, I fall into the trap thinking the Lakers are for real, they are just messing with my money, never agian.  Smiley

But back to the topic, honestly I don't know that Davis was 0-10 vs Sabonis. I think I'll research more on that. That says also that Sabonis is very underrated as a player.

Sacramento Kings. Despite playing a back-to-back game against 2 elite teams, they still managed to win today against the Lakers. They are strong. Sabonis is strong and he recorded another triple-double just like their last game against the Lakers too on March 7.
They badly need each win. They are trying to put a gap between them and the Phoenix Suns so they can get a safe spot for the playoffs.
Kings offense are just impressive, although they have their best player but the ball movement was really impressive. They are not afraid to shot the ball, that's the Warriors style their coach had learn, now they are better than the Warriors since they have healthy and young players.
169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Man bet his life savings on 1 spin of Roulette on: March 14, 2024, 01:21:34 PM
~snip~

But I guess this is a promotion for the casino itself.

I didn't want the video anymore because of this. If it's a promotional video and they got the attention of the people, then it was a job well done. This looks like Drake getting partnered with stake and his bet could be sponsored too. Everything we see now in terms of big wins or losses are just probably sponsored because real bettors who bet bigs would not make their bets public, they are silent and are just enjoying what they are doing.
170  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you believe in savings or investment on: March 13, 2024, 09:39:14 PM
Saving is a good idea but it is much better to grow it through investing. Risk takers are preferred to have no savings but rather choose to invest.
Because even though we don't have any experience with investing or only have little knowledge about it we can still do it. There are firms that will help us manage our funds. There are some ways to grow our money and the only thing we do is to take risks and of course, put our money in a secured investment. Many people have lost their money in investing because they invest the wrong one or let us say, scam investments like Ponzi schemes.
171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 13, 2024, 01:37:08 PM
Too many serious injuries this past day not just serious injuries but they out of the remaining season. Alperen Sengun is now out for the rest of the regular season due to Grade 3 right ankle sprain. Atlanta Hawks forward Saddiq Bey will miss the remainder of the season after tearing the ACL in his left knee, while Karl-Anthony Towns injured the meniscus in his left knee and is out indefinitely. Damn.

Atlanta really are on a big loss since they already loss Trae Young due to injury, and now they are struggling on the ranking which now only at the top 10. Like last season, they might be in the play-in again, but not sure now without Trae young. Although 5-5 in their last 10 games, that means they are still fighting to stay alive in that spo, but the team below them which is the Nets are also trying.

Alperen Sengun also is a big loss for the Rockets, as they are next to the Warriors in ranking and they could end up at the number 10 spot. Individually, Alperen is making his name known this season due to his good statistics, unfortunately, this injury came that no one sees it coming.
172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: March 13, 2024, 01:05:48 PM
Ryan is now on training with Derrick James as there are lot of videos of him circulating on X (Twitter). So it's good to him back in action, but it's just 5 weeks from fight now and hopefully they are still on track and on schedule to be at peak on April 20.
Good for him, he need the best trainer he can trust in this big upcoming fight for him. Haney is probably the toughest opponent he will face, probably even better than Tank Davis, so if Ryan will not improve and will not focus in this fight, he might have the same fate in his fight vs Tank Davis.

On the other hand, if he wins this fight, his popularity will shoot up and there will be more big fights coming fro him, probably even getting a rematch with Haney and will be dictating the terms.

Also, Frank Martin is training with them or at least he is being handled by Derrick James as well. Maybe there could be pointers from Ryan on how the power of Tank is as we all know that Martin and Tank Davis will have their own fight in the next coming months.

It's not yet listed in https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/814937.. probably not yet official?
173  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why are people getting scared to Trade on: March 12, 2024, 09:53:23 PM
Earning a profit in trading is possible if you have good knowledge about this but also, it can be impossible if you just jump into this without any backup knowledge.  If we are a smart person, we choose not to trade if we know the incapability of ourselves. It is not we just scared OP but we are doing not to trade because the chances to earn it are very slim, why do we waste our money knowing that it was impossible?

Just trade as long as we are ready. Learn first and acquire enough knowledge and skills if we want to at least have the chance to earn. There is no magic in trading which is why we should be ready to face the consequences or else, forget about trading.
174  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long to learn trading? on: March 12, 2024, 09:20:11 PM
but in my opinion, whether fast or slow, a prospective trader must be able to understand the trading material provided to him. because why learn too quickly, if the prospective trader is unable to master the trading material, which could result in serious losses. so just take the time to learn and use it as best as possible to hone your skills.

Impatience and the hunger to make quick money so they can show off is the reason many people that are interested in trading are trying to do it in  a quicker time so they can start making money and begin to live very expensive. How long it should take an individual is based on their learning abilities. Some people are quick learners while others aren't therefore we shouldn't use the same time to think that everyone can learn trading perfectly in that duration.
Having this kind of trading approach will never make them reach their goal (becoming rich) but rather fail. It is about knowing that trading is not easy and of course, there is no shortcut to learning as it should be step-by-step. If we want to reach our goal, therefore, we also have to work hard on it and be patient on the time.
Quote
Some individual already have some ideas on how to trade or how the market works therefore it'll be easy for them to understand how to trade properly when they're being taught. The determination too between different individuals will determine how fast they learn how to trade. As my mentor always says, you can teach a man all you know but if he isn't willing to self learn, all your efforts will be in vain.
Yes, some have ample knowledge but they don't have the right skills and strategies so they still end up failing. But it doesn't mean this is the end, we can correct our mistakes. As long as we are willing to learn, we can do the right thing and able to align our mindset.
175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: March 12, 2024, 11:58:04 AM
Joshua vs Fury has never happened yet, if Fury lost to Usyk, it's reasonable to see Joshua and Fury fight.
I have the feeling Fury will lose against Usyk by KO. It will be sad for Fury fans to see his record have 1 loss and perhaps 2 if he fights AJ too.
You have your own opinion on that but I don't actually see it's gonna happen. Fury is good in making adjustment and he will not allow to lose by KO. He might not be a KO artist like AJ and Wilder, at least on their level but we saw how smart he is on his championship fights. I can't blame people not trusting him because of his physical appearance, I mean he doesn' have much muscles but this guy has a solid chin and has a power to KO his opponent.

There's truth to what they say that it's the punch you don't see coming that knocks you out. Francis didn't see the fist coming. The poll result is Francis Ngannou by KO, so many users must have bet for Francis to win.

I hope they're able to accept the defeat, LOL.. they ride the hype, can't blame them.
176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is worth more than Silver on: March 11, 2024, 09:56:42 PM
There is always a surprise for Bitcoin which is why investing in Bitcoin is more worthwhile than any digital asset in the market as it has proven so many times. The majority has been in doubt before but now, most of us are on the watch for it. Bitcoin is a changing game of life as people are buying more Gold and Silver than before but now, people are selling Gold and Silver for Bitcoin. That is how it changes the view of the community and the courage to invest. We can't deny the fact that Bitcoin is heading to a better future, the more people appreciate it, the more it grows and spreads. 10 years from now, maybe we are seeing its value double from the current price.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Selling BTC for Alt Coins? on: March 11, 2024, 09:22:46 PM
I have around 2.1k in btc rn and was wondering if I should sell it and invest in a couple of altcoin projects, would that be a good idea? I know Bitcoin will never ever do another 5x in the near future haha so that's kind of why I would wanna sell. The market cap of btc would have to reach a very high amount for it to be life-changing money to me.
You are exactly looking for a gem and a bunch of shitcoin instead of looking for a good asset that will give you a fortune. Yes, it probably Bitcoin won't give us x5 on our capital but if we talk about sustainability and profit assurance long-term, we never fail. Unlike these altcoins, they might be in huge price increase, making some hype during bull season x1000 is even possible but have you imagined missing it, you will never see your money back.
Selling some for altcoins is not really a bad idea but selling all of your BTC for them is a big mistake.
178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: March 11, 2024, 12:49:36 PM
Today I was watching some tiktok videos and one video showed up and I think everyone has to watch this video: www.tiktok.com/@fightmma.hype/video/7344412706214038816
To spoil you, this video shows how Tyson Fury was struggling against Ngannou and then comes the video of how Joshua was playing with Ngannou like the cat plays with a mouse. I still can't believe what I watched. At first I watched the fight where Ngannou won against Tyson Fury and then, months later, I watch a fight where Joshua simply destroys Ngannou.
Now Tyson Fury is making excuses and says that he was shit when he was fighting Ngannou and if he and Jushua fights, Joshue will face absolutely different Fury.
Lots of money will be made if they fight and it will be a hella interesting.

In boxing they always say that styles make fights. Fury doesn’t have the power that Joshua has and Joshua doesn’t have the chin or stamina that Fury has. They are drastically different fighters and that’s why we saw drastically different outcomes. It doesn’t necessarily tell us who would win in a fight between them because the circumstances are entirely different. Joshua is used to overwhelming his opponents early on but when they are able to withstand his power is when he gets in trouble.

Because Fury is a smart boxer, he doesn't go toe to toe against a known KO artist, he will slowly destroy it with his good head movements and jabs. But if you look at his previous fights, you can say that he really has the power because the last 4 fights before Ngannou, it was all won via KO/TKO.

So if Fury will face AJ, I doubt AJ will win as Fury is hard to beat, he will not allow himself to be careless and try to go for a KO, AJ would love to go for a KO, so probably AJ will catch a powerful counter from Fury, I might be wrong but right now this is my take if they'll ever face.

Now that the hype is on AJ, it would be a great championship fight between the two. However, Fury is into a big fight against Usyk if he loss that would make Usyk to be the best in the heavyweight division since he already beat AJ twice, Wilder is off, and he beat Fury.

Maybe what's intesting after the Fury vs Usyk fight if Fury loss is that they will fight again in a rematch. Maybe a trilogy if Fury wins the 2nd.
179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 11, 2024, 11:46:23 AM
... will be taking a parlay on the moneyline.
Unfortunately Phoenix fall short int he last quarter. You can see the rust in the game since they are outscored in the first quarter, slowly they made an adjustment until the 4th quarter but still fall by 4 points. Parlay is dead, you need to come back in the 2nd game, double or nothing? Smiley

I think It will be Ginebra winning the 2nd game, they are -5.5 now, hopefully they'll dominate for an easy win. I might just wait for the live betting here, it's hard to trust nowadays, you know it's PBA, nothing is impossible, even bad teams could look good.
This could be the way Ginebra choses this season as we all know, the league is being questioned about manipulation of the game, and that’s why even the strongest team suffers a shocking loss. Well, politics in PBA is still there and we might not be able to witness the greatness of PBA again, so be sure if you are going to bet with PBA know its risk and be ready for a possible different outcome.

We can't remove that fact anymore,  manipulation is not by far, as there are two major franchise companies who really dominates the league,  but it's too early for that as even manipulation can be done if there's no bettors they can't do anything, they need to pretend first so fans and gamblers will still be there to bets for their picks, but I agree to you gamblers needs to accept the high risk that they'll going to take,.

So far, both SMB and Ginebra are the teams that have the capabilities to dominate, I don't see any chance from MVP's squad,  unless big trades happened and shuffle their players to form another competitive squads.

Hopefully the TNT, but unfortunately they don't have a players that could match the SMB and Ginebra in the competiton particularly in the playoffs.

The big 3 teams now are all from SMB, if I may ranked, this will be my ranking.

1- SMB
2- Ginebra
3 - Magnolia.

You can only choose one of these 3 to become a champion this season, it's all Filipino and they have bigs to dominate. As of now, SMB hasn't played yet as they are given a long rest, their debut will be this friday against the Rain or Shine, this should be an easy win.

Those are legit big 3 in the PBA now. But it was only between SMB and Ginebra which are competing for the championship as they have a lot of quality players. Players that could dominate inside and could score outside, that's SMB and Ginebra... It's their brand that they are making it stronger and this conference, I believe we will again see SMB in the Finals but hopefully it will be versus the Ginebra so people will be excited to watch a 50-50 battle.
180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling mistake repeated by the gamblers on: March 08, 2024, 03:58:08 PM
There was a time before that I managed to take home a good win out of desperation because I had a financial problem.

I became overconfident that I would be able to achieve it and after several hours of playing, I managed a good win and solved my financial problem. That was a lucky day for me so I can say that it was not a mistake when I turned into being overconfident that time.

My further gambling session though didn't end well that's why currently, it might be a mistake now to consider being overconfident in gambling.

Being confident and be realistic, that's how you deal with gambling. You were just lucky that time, and that overwhelmed you a lot thinking you can do it again, thing like "easy money" usually came out on our mind after the first success, but if we analyze deeper, we will realize that there's no easy money in gamblnig, otherwise, this industry is not that huge as casino will easily close shop.
