1601  Economy / Reputation / Re: 'Bitcointalk forum is going downhill because of dkbit98 on: January 02, 2023, 09:16:50 PM
Let me help you:
First, my post was in response to the OP accusing us of creating a new account:

I'm not sure if you are intentionally being stupid or if you're just trolling. Do you not understand what consecutive posting means?

Let me help you: Consecutive posting refers to the act of posting multiple messages in a row, one after the other, without any other user intervening with a post in between.

Rikafip already provided evidence from the archive that clearly shows you published all three of your posts consecutively, without any other user posting in between, following dkbit98's comment. It's a ridiculous waste of time that we have to argue about this, but unfortunately, it's necessary to debunk your false claims.

1602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you have 1 bitcoin? on: January 02, 2023, 01:08:45 AM
Yeah. Looks like the time for hoarding Bitcoin is going to continue this year! But before you jump on the crypto bandwagon, don't forget that Bitcoin can be a wild ride, so make sure you've got a solid game plan and aren't afraid to hold on tight. If you are willing to hold on for the long run, then it can be a very profitable investment. The important thing is to understand what type of investor you are and how much risk you can take.

Thank you all for your replies.
I will try to contact Microsoft to find a solution

Even if the site is still active, which is unlikely, and even if you had a few bitcoins in your account at the time, which were worth only a few dollars, it is unlikely that the site owner would have left such an amount of money in a dormant account for so long. It's worth noting that the value of 1 BTC soared to over 60k USD in 2021. So that money is most likely gone long ago.

From what I know I was logged occasionally  ( woke up: 12/22/2022 8:43:43 PM - this information is questionable ) ..
Trying to find if I miss something.

There is nothing questionable about that information since the information is verifiable.

1605  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BLOCKCHAIN account- Newbie - how to get one? on: January 01, 2023, 01:40:17 PM
If anyone can just answer me, the first part, how i get this P2PKH address and if i need to put money into it to 'start it off' so to speak ( i see when i tried joining was asking , my intention to buy bitcoin etc ( which i have no intention of doing whatsoever )

First, let's focus on one problem at a time. Are you absolutely sure that you need a P2PKH (legacy) address? Have you tried using the address "1JdC6X..." suggested by philipma1957? Is the button still grayed out?

Btw, I still don't understand why you don't want to reveal which casino platform it is. That would make solving your problem much easier for us.

Please anybody let me know if there's anything else I can do to increase my reputation.

There's no quick fix for building a strong reputation online. It takes time and patience. You need to be consistent with your efforts, and if you're willing to put in the work, it will pay off. I agree with the given suggestions, by actively posting updates and following best practices for interacting with others on the forum, you can steadily improve your reputation over time. It's all about consistently demonstrating your credibility, reliability, and professionalism. Keep at it and your reputation will surely grow!
1607  Economy / Reputation / Re: Merit Overflow of ltcrstrbrt on: December 31, 2022, 07:12:09 PM
For the record, I would like to comment that receiving merits in a short period of time from other several accounts itself it is not suspicious.
I don't think any of us would suspect of a member of this forum with a proven record and reputation if he/she one day received a couple of dozens of merits, regardless those merits were granted to relatively new or very old posts.

It means nothing, because in the end, anyone with several accounts could do that with the objective to try to taint someone's reputation as merit buyer.

It is certainly possible. That's why it is important to consider all available information, examine the situation from various perspectives in order to make an informed decision and come to a conclusion.

Here's another piece of information that proves the accounts are related, and in my opinion, most likely alt accounts:

Did you read the discussion thread?

Yes, I did read the whole thread. That's why I see you're having a hard time and reluctant to give concrete answers.
1608  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BLOCKCHAIN account- Newbie - how to get one? on: December 31, 2022, 06:21:17 PM
I don't know why the posts above are mentioning things like Electrum and Tor. All you are doing is adding more confusion to an already very confused newbie.

So, advice welcome?
For the third time, share the name of the casino and a screenshot of the withdrawal page and what they are asking for. There is absolutely no difference between a Wasabi address and a Blockchain.com address, and indeed the casino has no way whatsoever to know what wallet your address comes from. It sounds like they are trying to scam you.

The only thing the casino needs to process a bitcoin withdrawal is your address. If they say they need more than this, then they are trying to scam you.

Hi, speaking my language, thank you.

I think ive now annoyed the casino ( as well as this forum ) , so fat chance of getting anything.

But, the casino, mentioned before, is a chain of sorts, using a licence, i assume different operators, so Plenty Of Fish, Midnight Wins to name just two of many its all the same thing.
<...>

OK, just stop right there. Multiple members have asked you to specify the casino in question at least six times so far, but you have not provided an answer. (I checked your other threads as well.) Why are you avoiding this question? Providing necessary information is important for the discussion to be productive and helpful and it can be frustrating when important details are not shared.
1609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PUBLIC ACCOUNT NUMBER FOR WASABI WALLET - Newbie question.. on: December 31, 2022, 05:42:58 PM
Do's and Don'ts welcome.  Keeping it very very very simple though. Literally, just want download my few winnings.

Here is the first suggestion I made in one of your other topics:

Hello there!

It looks like you have created several topics today, and all the questions are related to one another. Don't do that.

withdrawing bitcoin - newbie - advice welcome
Metrobank....bitcoin?
BLOCKCHAIN? and wheres the Hash?
PUBLIC ACCOUNT NUMBER FOR WASABI WALLET - Newbie question..
BLOCKCHAIN account- Newbie - how to get one?

I think you are trying to cover too many different questions at once, which can make it difficult for others to follow the conversation and offer helpful responses. It might be more effective to focus on one topic at a time, especially since some members have already tried to assist you. This way, the discussion can stay organized and focused, making it easier for everyone to contribute and offer support.

It might be a good idea to continue the discussion in one of your previous topics and lock all other topics. You can find the option to lock the topic in the lower left corner of the website.

That still doesn't answer the question. What is your connection with the user accounts bluedeep, speeder and Averim?
Are they your alt accounts? Did you ask them to merit your account? Did you pay them for it?

searching and asking ( two different world)

I'm not asking you how many BitcoinTalk users do you know personally.

I'm not asking you how many BitcoinTalk users do you know personally. I'm asking if you find it OK to merit yourself from an alt account in order to artificially boost your reputation after two years of inactivity on the forum, while also asking (searching) for a no-collateral loan? Don't you think this behavior is suspicious and that members of the community have every right to be concerned about it? If your intentions are honest, why didn't you ask for a loan with your main account?
1612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cashless Gambling, your thought? on: December 31, 2022, 12:50:27 PM
It will surely affect most gamblers negatively, tracking their gambling activities and taxing them would be easier for the government. It will have both positive and negative effects. It can reduce fraud activities and minors who are into gambling but will hit gamblers who want to make their activities private. We all know that the government is now doing everything to track and tax gamblers in ways that they can do and sadly, it's something that we can't get rid of in the future.

Yeah. But the concept of cashless gambling may apply to traditional physical casinos, it is not relevant to discussions on this forum, which focuses on online casinos that accept cryptocurrencies. Therefore, the implementation of cashless gambling is unlikely to have any significant impact on crypto gamblers on this forum.
1613  Economy / Reputation / Re: Merit Overflow of ltcrstrbrt on: December 31, 2022, 12:34:06 PM
First of all, You should not make false accusations based on thin air, secondly I didn't asked you for a loan! I asked how many can you lend and for what time!!!
<...>
Searching for a loan  among community members starting to be a crime?

By your own admission, that's asking for a loan. Stop twisting and turning words around.

BTW, you asked me how I got these merits ...contacts etc... bare in mind that in 2016 (ie.) in my town ( 40k res) where around 25 BitcoinTalk users and more than 40 miners ... Also 3 Icos started from my town... people are talking each others they meeting etc... I'm not living in the jungle...

That still doesn't answer the question. What is your connection with the user accounts bluedeep, speeder and Averim?
Are they your alt accounts? Did you ask them to merit your account? Did you pay them for it?
1614  Economy / Reputation / Re: Merit Overflow of ltcrstrbrt on: December 31, 2022, 10:41:10 AM

It is verified too. That means this account has not changed ownership. But what about merit abuse??? Would you like to say anything about merit abuse?

There is a possibility that the account was sold with the private key. I have seen such offers in Telegram groups and on fiverr.

The facts still stand, the user in question recently woke up (after two years of inactivity) and applied for a loan and a sig campaign, and at the same time received merits from the accounts with a suspicious history and also long inactivity. This raises suspicions of merit abuse and potential loan scams.

@ltcrstrbrt, it seems to me that there are only two possible explanations for the merits you received on your account. Either the accounts that gave you merits are controlled by you (alt accounts) or you acquired the merits through some sort of purchase. Is there any other explanation that I'm not considering?
1615  Other / Meta / Re: What one change would you like to see in bitcointalk in 2023 on: December 31, 2022, 10:14:30 AM
As a big fan of new and modern things, I'm eagerly awaiting the release of the updated forum software. From what I've heard, the new version has been in the works for a while now and is almost ready for prime time. It's exciting to think about all the new features and improvements that might be included in this update. I can't wait to see how it will enhance the overall user experience and bring the forum into the modern age. So let's cross our fingers and hope that the release of the updated bitcointalk software is just around the corner.
1616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 Oscar Awards betting and discussions on: December 31, 2022, 09:59:24 AM
The best Visual effect will be for Avatar. Seem very easy for that movie to get such an award. Somehow I feel not very fair since all the effects are computer generated. For me, Avatar 2 has a terrible story that could go up to Avatar 10. They made a new watermen race in that world and a new messiah who could be the girl in Avatar 3.

Oscar Jury has different criteria and of course, those juries know how to scrutinize a film and will look at the film from different angles. And they may prefer the film that features it all for awards that are given more importance like Best Actor, Actress, and Director.

Avatar in all probability will win the Oscar for Best Visual Effects once more. And it is not fair to say that they don't deserve it as the visuals are all computer generated. In that case what prevents the other films from doing the same? I watched Avatar 2 a few days ago in IMAX and I was astounded with the visual effects. It is not just the software, but the skills that go in from the technicians as well. Anyway, I am more interested in the award for best picture. I don't think that it will go to Avatar 2, since the jury is biased against it.

It's true that movies like Avatar have a strong advantage in the visual effects category at awards shows like the Oscars. These movies often rely heavily on computer-generated imagery (CGI) to create their fantastical worlds and characters, which are often impressive and visually stunning. However, it's important to note that creating high-quality visual effects requires a lot of skill and expertise. It's a highly technical and challenging field, and I think all the artists and technicians who work in it deserve recognition for their hard work and talent.

That being said, I think that the Top Gun: Maverick will also have a pretty good chance at taking home an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects. The movie has some really impressive CGI, especially when it comes to the aerial dogfighting scenes. I think it might be a close race between these two for which one wins the category, but my money is on Top Gun: Maverick.
1617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cashless Gambling, your thought? on: December 31, 2022, 08:48:04 AM
The use of cashless payment methods in gambling has become more common in recent years, however it is still important for gamblers to have the choice of how they want to pay. Additionally, mandating cashless gambling could pose challenges for those who may not have access to or be comfortable using electronic payment methods. And, I believe, there are many of them in less developed countries.

However, since we are on a cryptocurrency forum, I'm pretty sure we don't have to be afraid of a cashless society. Cryptocurrencies are here to stay and they will be the future of money, and it's not unreasonable to expect them to become a viable option for the majority of gamblers in the future. So, I don't see any problem with cashless gambling.
1618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling For Fun - What Does This Mean To You? on: December 31, 2022, 08:35:10 AM
You have a point there. Gambling for fun doesn't necessarily mean gambling without the desire for profit. I think it is more about enjoying the game and participating in the experience and excitement of the game rather than just focusing on the outcome. You're absolutely right that gambling for money, or professional gambling, is different and requires a stronger decision-making process. I mean obviously there is something in it for me too, so its not like I don't want to win, but if I would calculate the expected outcome, it would make no sense at all to gamble. I think the majority of us hold gambling as a fun experience. We enjoy it. Or just want to try out a new casino game because its fun to play them or because we are curious about how it feels to actually win at a casino game or maybe we just want some fun money on the side and might be willing to lose some of it.

Well, that was dumb. I guess he was planning to pull something similar to the owner of FedEx or something.
<...>

Yeah... I almost forgot about the inspiring story of the FedEx owner and his risky gamble that ultimately saved the company. But, in contrast, it seems that Sam has taken the opposite approach and ended up in a less favorable situation.
1620  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Things to remember for the year 2023 on: December 30, 2022, 09:15:08 PM
Sounds like good advice to follow in 2023 and beyond! Here are a few more suggestions for things to remember and avoid:

- Always keep your crypto assets secure. The best way is to keep them in a hardware wallet or an offline wallet. Never leave your crypto on an exchange.
- Don't fall for phishing attacks or scams on social media or email.
- Be careful with what information you share online. While it might seem harmless now, it could come back to haunt you later.
- Always do your own research before investing in anything new or unfamiliar.
- Don't be greedy.
- Don't fall for pump and dumps. You should never invest in something that promises a quick return on your investment.

Wishing you all a happy and successful crypto journey in 2023!
