If I had $250 million in Bitcoins I would want to stay anonymous for the rest of my life. I doubt we will be hearing from him again.
Yeah, it's generally a bad idea to be famous when you have THAT much money. What do you have to gain from it? absolutely ntohing.

That video is painful to watch.
This guy is on video basically demonstrating his ignorance of Bitcoin.
He incorrectly names Satoshi an "anonymous hacker" when satoshi is simply a programmer-- not a hacker.
Secondly the guy says he wouldn't trust an anonymous hacker, but the source code is open source so there's nothing hidden about bitcoin to "trust".
This is just one of those people who don't get it and will simply be mowed over by this evolution in money. Some people will never get it, like Warren Buffet (and this guy). They're too old to get with the new.
Typical old dumbasses talking about Bitcoin when they just should stick to oil while it lasts. Jesus Christ, only when the generation of all those old idiots die we'll be free from their deprecated opinions and their equally deprecated assets. They have literally no idea on what's going on, somewhat amusing to see. I can't believe such illiterate morons got so wealthy.

only whales know what will happen. we can guess as much as we want but there is always a 50% chance for it to come true. if it didn't come true you don't see these people anymore. they will then create a new account.
Not even whales, whales can only manipulate at a certain extent. Unless there is a big ass conspiracy of all whales ever acting synchronized, they can not decide the price on its entirety by themselves, in other words there are whales vs whales wars going on.

I suggest the OP and all we to buy more bitcoin, this is the only valid way for increase the price (or better) the value of bitcoin itself. Destroy it will not raise the value (or at least not now, maybe in the next 20-25 years).
Buy more bitcoins if you have money you can afford to lose. I suggested 'spend bitcoins', even thought many merchants will sell those coins (Overstock keeps 10% in Bitcoin IIRC) - if they are seeing increased sales they will probably recommend Bitcoin --> increases the chance of more people using it. The thing is most people don't see buying stuff with bitcoin as worth it when they can buy the exact same things with fiat, because fiat will not go up and bitcoin will go up, so whats the point.

Is it better to save money in bank or invest it online, in real estate or maybe gold?
It's better to do dollar cost average (or whatever fiat you get paid on). Namely, you get paid and at th end of the month you invest 30% of your income into something (in this case Bitcoin) and keep holding a stack as you build it. So basically both.

if the internet ceases to exist , life will no longer be worth living ...
in all seriousness though , it would take an apocalyptic event to knock out the global internet / cause enough chaos that society breaks down ... possible scenarios that would likely do enough damage include massive solar flare , EMP/thermonuclear war , extinction level asteroid impact , alien invasion , viral pandemic event aka zombie apocalypse , and of course the most likely and my personal favorite - the end of the oil based global economy combined with all of antarctica and greenland falling into the oceans and submerging 80% of the human population areas within the next 50 years ... glad i like hiking and know how to swim ...
If the internet ceases to exist it means it's all over, only some people will be surviving in some sort of mad max post apocalyptic environment where there are no currency, just resources and weapons as the main rulers.

Finally, someone gets arrested for running a scam. He definitely deserved this. Hopefully more bad guys will be caught in the future. Just look at Karpeles, still a free man.
I do not know the exact details of the Karpeles case, but I think it's safe to say that he will not go to jail at this point, he somehow got away with the whole thing.

I was about to post it. All those that OP mentioned are basically, deprecated technologies compared to Maid. Like I said before since it was at 14K, it's overpriced now tho... it's way too new and the price will keep going down for a while, but it's definitely something to hold long term.

I foresee when the collapse really took place, the whole world will accend to a total chaos. People would be buying bitcoin pushing the price upwards to an insane level. And from there the new economy where everything is priced solely in bitcoin becomes the new standard. I imagine it will be possible someday
This is somewhat of a stretch. I think its possible but I see a more realistic scenareo the one that the Xapo guy gave on his conference: Bitcoin becoming a new standard instead of gold, not necessarily replacing any of the existing fiat currencies.

The Satoshi Holy Bible:
Bitcoin gets nailed to a cross.
The End.
Not the end, you missed the last page: Bitcoin resurrects from the dead and takes over the world, may peace be upon Satoshi.

if we can replicate end 2013 and then with 2016 early 2014, it would be good, but the trend seems uncertain, too many whales playing, and the price is stuck there
We can't do nothing but wait and watch as we are not major players in the market, we can only hope for the best, and I have big trust on bitcoin being a success.

Similar to what Bill Gates said, during the same interview when he talked about bitcoin iirc. But the problem of AI taking over is not necessarily directly related to technological unemployment. Maybe AI will employ every human to do some kind of dirty work for 18 hours a day in exchange for a bowl of rice and glass of water... I don't like Bill Gates views on Bitcoin, he wants to deanonimize it, make it centralized and controlled, and basically do the opposite of what satoshi (and most of us) want.

Yesterday, two major payment processors – Neteller and CardinalCommerce – were reported to start handling Bitcoin transactions made by their business customers. - Read full article HEREPokerstars? Thats pretty huge. Im also familiar with Neteller, i've done a lot of football (or soccer) gambling on there successfully.

whats the point to sell them if they are worth nearly nothing... in this case i would definitely hold like in no other cases we if i had them that is... Well they are not nearly nothing, they are 270 times the biggest fiat on the planet... if you had thousands of BTC you would be scared to hold on times like this. But yeah, in a BTC context they are worth nothing.

There's no such thing as too much freedom on the internet... why, you ask, well it's simple, no matter how much you try to regulate, we are headed towards a future were a separate internet will exist apart from the "official one". Search "meshnet".

someone pull this thread back up in 2020 for a good laugh.
Im saving bookmarks in a special folder called "bump this 10 years from now" so I can have a good laugh while I enjoy my extremely strong purchasing power of BTC.

Let's cut the crap. Most of us are just waiting for Bitcoin to finally hit $100 to buy a huge quantity. Am I right or talking out my ass?
Not me. I've been buying monthly since we went below 300 USD, using a % of my monthly salary that I would usually waste on unnecessary shit.

Not gonna lie I laughed at this. I imagine the scene and it would be kinda hilarious. Just seemed incredibly funny that this happened right around the time they administer the test and everything.
