1621  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 bitcoin = 200k dollars on: March 18, 2016, 12:21:57 PM
Bitcoin is never going to become a global currency with the market cap of every country.  Could you really see it becoming worth that much, with most of the rich people simply being ones that had a single coin?

It's alternative form of money, just like gold, stocks, etc... but it's not going to take the world over completely.
agree bitcoin is never become a global currency but bitcoin is alternative for who want send money fast just in a hour you can send money to you friend or family in other countries.

bitcoin is indeed just an alternative to fiat currencies, but for some reason people still think it will replace the dollar and become the main currency of the world. bitcoin at this point is nothing more than a tiny dot compared to what the market cap of the dollar, euro, and even gold is. people should stop with dreaming about unrealistic things and put their focus on real things.
1622  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: March 17, 2016, 05:30:02 AM
Its a risk free scenario to hold bitcoins in compare to cash, as if you hold cash there are chances that it might get stolen or you get robbed, but with bitcoins you can hold n number of coins in your digital wallet.

even if you hold your coins in your wallet they can get stolen. if your pc is infected with a virus, then your coins can get stolen easily. in order to prevent that, you must use a very strong passhprase and you could also choose to encrypt your wallet files for even more protection. if you do that and keep your pc clean and up to date, then your coins will be more than safe.
1623  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin worth to you or not... on: March 17, 2016, 05:23:05 AM
In my opinion the bitcoin is worth it because of numerous facts, one of them is that it has a great future a head.
Another thing is that its the future of many currency's because its digital, another thing is that the bitcoin is growing really fast so that is a sign its gonna get a lot bigger in a few years for sure.

You are right about it and because bitcoin is gonna be know to all country no matter how much the news incorporate is as a bad project.
Most big companies are now adapting bitcoin and its a good sign for bitcoin users.
Bitcoin is worth for everyone. You will be crazy if you think that Bitcoin has now worth. Many people want Bitcoin so it must be worth.
And it will be even more worth later in the future. And that can be so good for those people who already have Bitcoin.
Would you say bitcoin are worth when the price fallen to the lowest like $50 ? Even back to $1?
I think people only think and care about how much bitcoin price then they assume it as a worth. When the price fallen they lost their faith to bitcoin and will think it's not worth anymore .

those who lose faith in bitcoin just because the price goes down are not real bitcoiners. i consider these people to sensation hunters. they are only interested in seeing the price go up and up while they mostly don't know anything about how markets work. these people are also the kind of people that complain when the price doesn't go up much. they get bored and sell or they dive into an altcoin. a real bitcoiner keeps its faith and trust no matter how "low" or high the price is.
1624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin being used for illegal activities on: March 17, 2016, 05:14:07 AM
No more than USD is being used for illegal activities.

If you took a look at the percentages of Bitcoin being used for illegal activities vs. the percentage of USD activities being used for illegal activities, Bitcoin would win by a huge amount

do you seriously think bitcoin is used more for bad things than the us dollar? you must be kidding, right? nothing in the world can come even close to the harm done by the us dollar.... bitcoin is of course also being used for illegal stuff, but in comparison to the us dollar, bitcoin doesn't even come close to 0,01% of the total harm done by by the us dollar. that fiat currency is being used to fund entire wars. but as always, the media picks always bitcoin out of everything. it clearly has influenced you.
1625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JMBullion.com accepts Bitcoin!? on: March 17, 2016, 05:02:02 AM
Yes i am also heard about them accepting bitcoin but i am quite not interested in buying gold and i think they are also not available worldwide.

it indeed sucks that they only ship to people in the usa. but like me, when you have family living there i use their address to let them ship the gold to. and my family then send it to me in europe. i have once bought a 5 gram gold bar from them and will buy another 5 gram gold bar in the coming months, but now will do the payment in bitcoin.
1626  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: March 17, 2016, 04:43:57 AM
By spreading this rumors big whales wants to take an advantage that people would get panic and sell their coins at lower price so that they can buy it and sell it when the price is higher.

spreading rumors would only be effective to those bitcoin users who have small knowledge about it and those who are not experienced bitcoin collectors..they are the always victim..But as we started to learn about bitcoin and gain more experience, the chance of going into panic when price dip is too low..

it's quite funny to see that throughout the years people became more and more resistant to good news as the price doesn't move anymore due to that good news. but when it comes to bad news for example, people still shit their pants and start panic selling like there is no tomorrow. seems like there is nothing changed in that aspect. they sell for nothing as most of the bad news is nothing more than fud to bring the price down. and it still works.....
1627  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way to manage money? on: March 17, 2016, 04:34:42 AM
i know exactly what my expenses are. and i also know (more or less) how much i will spend on food and stuff. and a certain part of my salary goes directly to my savings account. as soon as my salary posts in my bank account i know (nearly) exactly how much free money i have to do some nice things with. and from that free money i use around $100 to buy some bitcoins with to store in my cold wallet. i have always been good with my money. i never had a debit card and will never signup for one. it's pure nonsense. people use it to spend money they don't have.
1628  Economy / Speculation / Re: Have we left the 200's for ever? on: March 17, 2016, 04:21:00 AM
never say never when it comes to bitcoin. it's quite unlikely to happen, but it's still possible. did anyone expect the price to go sub $200 again after reaching an ath of around $1200? don't think so. but it still happened. bitcoin surprised all of us when it went below $200 in 2015 which no one thought was possible anymore. even at this point i am literally prepared for anything.
1629  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 bitcoin = 200k dollars on: March 17, 2016, 04:13:25 AM
that's unrealistic and will probably never happen. i am already happy if we manage to see the price reach a few $k at some point in the future. in order to do that we need a lot new money coming into bitcoin and we need to see the demand increase significantly. if that doesn't happen, we can forget seeing a price of a few $k. every person who's thinking the bitcoin price will reach $200k needs a reality check. let's first get to $1000 again, and after that we'll start talking again.
1630  Economy / Speculation / Re: Am I the only one watchig bitcointicker.co 24/7? on: March 17, 2016, 04:05:37 AM
i still think there is a possibility of going below $400 again. my guess is that we'll see the price stay below $450 in this month. as soon as we see the price go near the $450 price level there will be a good dump taking the price down to $420 again. we've seen this happen before already. i think it will repeat.
1631  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: March 16, 2016, 03:52:18 PM
People that have already Bitcoin is not waiting for that. Because they want to that the value must rise for a long time.
And that we can have some profit later in the future. But you never know of course what can happen. But I think that it will rise.

there are enough people that are waiting for such a price to happen. and many of them spread fud in order to get the price to go down. but whatever they do, it's not working. at some point the community will become imune for these fud spreaders. other than that, we don't have to worry about the price going down that low unless a major exchange gets hacked and a lot coins are stolen.
1632  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: March 16, 2016, 03:31:06 PM
In my opinion this is easy to answer, the fact is that the bitcoin has a really good future a head and we can make a lot of money at the end.
The halving is also coming so this year you should not sell them and the bitcoin itself is also growing in users.

a lot people here think bitcoin has a great future, but that doesn't mean people will "never" sell any of their coins. most of the people are here to make profits. and to actually make any profit, you must sell. otherwise there is no real profit made. same as when you buy bitcoin for let's say $600 per coin, and the price goes down to $500, that doesn't mean you lost any money. you only lose money when you sell.
1633  Economy / Speculation / Re: What price should I buy at? on: March 16, 2016, 03:16:46 PM
The price has been going up quite steadily the past few days. I want to buy around 3k of coin but I'm reluctant right now, because I predict a crash happening quite soon. Not really sure where I should enter at, I think after a price drop of $50 I'd be safe.

Ideally I'm trying to win at a January 14 scenario  Cheesy

you will be very lucky if you'll manage to buy bitcoins at 340$ each, because i don't think that price will ever go so low now, will rise only now

and if you want to buy now and keep them for while, now it's good time too because after halving price will rise, so if you'll buy bitcoins now you will be very happy later
Yeah even if one buys at 400-420$ it will be profitable, the price of bitcoin will surely rise high before halving.(i'm expecting the price to be 600$>)

it all depend on the type of investor it is. if you plan to hold your coins for the long term, then you can buy at this price easily. if you're only interested in short term profits, then i would say it's an okay moment to buy as the price has no clear up or downwards movement.
1634  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: March 16, 2016, 11:40:48 AM
Yes i think the price of bitcoin is really matter. If the price of bitcoin is so cheap many people will not use bitcoin and if the price of bitcoin so expensive, many people will use it.

people will use bitcoin whether the price is low or high. it's a currency and an investment tool in one. just look at the early days when bitcoin was only worth around $1 per coin. there is no real difference with how the market and the people were using bitcoin back then and today. the only difference is that the price right now is much higher than when it was worth a few bucks.
1635  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: March 16, 2016, 11:36:03 AM
Many ways to invest our money that too far from scammers in ponzi site.. why don't you try start lend your money in lending section so that you can make lots of profit also try to invest in btcjam.. I think this is the only way that you can make profit with your bitcoins.. not only buy a silver or gold..
But if you want to make a profit fast  and short term just lend it in lending section.. than waiting to gold or silver to be rare in the future..

lending here in this forum is quite a risky thing to do since people will come up with altcoins as collateral. altcoins easily show fluctuations of 20-50% in some cases. yes, you can sell the collateral if you notice the value of the altcoin goes down, but you'll end up wasting your time for nothing since you'll get your initial amount back. btcjam is full of scammers. not a good idea to start there for new people.
1636  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price settling at $420. on: March 16, 2016, 11:03:57 AM
BTC/USD seems to be stabilised at around $420-$430.
Thoughts and predictions where it's going to next?

Whales & miners are obviously on Blockstream side, it's the only reason it's not dropping like a rock. Fundamentals were never been worse. It's a miracle it's priced like this, it's a miracle hy whales & miners are supporting Blockstream. But I guess 75 mil USD were carefully spent on bribing....

of course they are supporting blockstream. i don't expect anything else from them. they know everything will be sorted out, so they don't have anything to worry about. there is too much fud at the moment. the majority of this fud is aimed against bitcoin. and look, bitcoin is holding pretty strong.
1637  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin rise up to 800$ this year ? on: March 16, 2016, 10:57:59 AM
Dont think it will rise that much, maybe 600$. Its pretty much stable now... A friend told me it could go as high as 3000$ in July but i dont believe its possible.

not sure who you friends are, but don't believe what they say. $3000 in juli is a big joke. we might be happy if we see the price reach $600-$700 before or after the halving this year.
1638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about Halving??? on: March 15, 2016, 08:01:12 PM
With litecoin there was a massive pump just before the halving and then a dump when it happened - so just be careful people. I know that the last BTC halving was positive - but it co-incided with Cyprus and btc going mainstream. There may be no external events to help the process this time.

litecoin was pumped heavily by a chinese group. and you probably already know what happened after the litecoin price reached $8 back then. it got dumped down really hard and made the price go back to where it was before the block halving pump started. i hope it will not happen with bitcoin as that would be really sad. this just shows that heavy pumps/peaks don't last.
1639  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price of the bitcoin will jump again? The price today is acting weird on: March 15, 2016, 07:45:10 PM
Well seems like price is on the rise "again" so i hope it will go over 450 this time

it may seem like so, but the price isn't really rising. it's just moving within the well known $380-$450 price levels. i consider the price to be rising as soon as we go over the $450 price level. everything below that is no real growth for this year.
1640  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10k???? on: March 15, 2016, 07:22:07 PM
I don't think anything is going to happen till the block size is resolved, and I understand that the Core group timetable has it penciled in for mid 2017

it's just a matter of time before the block size will get a bump to 2mb. but then again, i don't expect much impact on the price beside a short term peak once the block size is increased. after that all will be back to normal and probably another block size debate might come to life as the fudders will do everything to derail bitcoin.
