941  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Price Passes $750 to Hit 28-Month High on: June 17, 2016, 12:41:28 PM
bought 0.5 btc when it was $550 , now i'm not really sure to hold or to release

you can choose to secure small profits like 0.1 btc just to be on the safe side. the rest you can keep holding with an increasing price as target.
942  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good idea to buy bitcoins now? on: June 17, 2016, 11:33:47 AM
Please ignore all advice about whether the price is going to rise or fall in the short term. Anytime is a good time to buy bitcoins because the value will be higher in the long run no matter what price you get it at.

Even though buying bitcoins at $1200 in 2014 might not look like a good investment now, it will turn out to have been a good investment in the future.

that's how you as experienced bitcoiner looks at the market. but that doesn't go up for the majority of the people here. these people aren't long term minded. they only look at the short term profit potential.
943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does World Economic Forum say 1 BTC will be $300,000 by 2027? on: June 17, 2016, 11:20:47 AM
let people talk as much as they want. i don't believe anything coming from so called "experts" and other "knowledgeable" persons. if you just use your common sense, then you won't even take this serious for a single second. it means that the price has to increase with around $27,000 per year, in order to meet their prediction. no need to hope for things that won't happen.
944  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't worry - this is neither a crash nor a turning point ... on: June 17, 2016, 11:13:27 AM
there is indeed no point in worrying right now. if i was waiting to enter the market because i haven't bought any coins yet, then i would definitely use this price drop in my advantage to get myself a nice position in the market. buy when the price drops hard is a good rule to work with.
945  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sudden drop in price: Have we missed any latest news? on: June 17, 2016, 10:25:01 AM
Maybe it is related to the crash in ETH? It is kind of a warning.

I see no as I don't see any related link or factors to that.

I still considered this is just a normal "carried away" move after dips to a margin of around $10 where it all started.

it might be due to the fact that some traders are afraid of seeing the stolen ethereum coins somehow get converted to btc, and then dumped causing the price to tank significantly. especially now the price has gone up to a 2 year high.
946  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price doubled - is halving now priced in? on: June 17, 2016, 10:09:17 AM
the block halving is definitely priced in at this point. right now it's purely the hype and speculation effect that is making the price increase quickly. and on top of that, the demand coming from china also adds to the price going higher and higher.
947  Economy / Speculation / Re: It is Buy time! on: June 17, 2016, 10:00:46 AM
the current btc dump due to all the stuff going on with ethereum and dao brought the price quite a bit lower. maybe that the price will go even lower, but it's a situation that people should use in their advantage to enter the market right now. use a decent part of your money to buy now, and keep the other part for when the price goes doen even more. it will allow you to buy all the way down if the price happens to fall down more.
948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin just a step closer to the moon as ethereum fails catastrophically. on: June 17, 2016, 09:56:12 AM
$46,000,000 missing, exchanges are asked to halt trades, price already fell by more than 25%.

If you feel like panic selling ethereum and DAOs for bitcoin, now is the time.

that's how people with a brain think, but a lot people see this as a bad thing and start dumping even btc to avoid possible losses. i wonder what the effect on the price will be today and tomorrow.
949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DAO/ Ethereum hacked - bitcoin price? on: June 17, 2016, 09:45:15 AM
just look at that massive btc dump bringing the price from $770-$780 to very low $700's. i don't think the panic has ended yet. i think we might very well see the price dive below $700 today or tomorrow.
950  Other / Archival / Re: should i save btc for future? on: June 16, 2016, 05:15:11 PM
I'm saving my coins for the future but whether you should or not is up to how much you believe in bitcoin. Nothing is guranteed but I can certainly see the potential bitcoin has but that doesn't mean everyone else will.
Maybe just buy a little and what you can afford every month but don't go crazy and invest more than you can afford to lose.

Yeah agree, saving and holding bitcoins for future is the right thing to do, as it is expected that value would be much higher in the coming months so its better to collect as much coins possible at a moment.

The only that comes to my mind is if we save for long term without selling now and what if price falls back then would it be worth to save for that long time?
Yes chief ,it can maybe down the price after the halving or after it reach $1000 but i think it will not be down but it is the jump start again to the bitcoiners who will buy more BTC again.

the price is being pumped up heavily. the price has to come down at some point. and when the price comes down, it will be a very sharp fall. and i expect it to happen directly after the block halving. that's why i keep securing profits on the way up. it puts me on the safe side in case the price drops significantly before the block halving.
951  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin go to $500 on: June 16, 2016, 05:10:29 PM
Already break the 500 mark and the next is 800.. but now bitcoin stops from incresing and its playing at 670-690..
We will see this playing of bitcoin for 1 week.. after that the rising continues

I think in the next few weeks, the bitcoin price could hovering around the $750 range for a few months.

The price of bitcoin is already $750 in some exchanges. But I would like the bitcon price to consolidate as well.

at this point it's the volatility that is ruling the entire market for weeks. these are great times for traders to make massive profits trading against the volatility. it allows me to make profit trading, and on top of that the price is going up nicely. it's a win win for me. what else can i wish for?
952  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: June 16, 2016, 03:13:30 PM
The value of bitcoin now is really high, for those who had invested for so long they can make profits now. I myself I don't see anymore reason that the price will fall to $100. Maybe, after the block halving the value itself will fall back when there is a massive selling of bitcoins but it will not reach that too low.

$100 prices are not part of the story anymore at this point. those who are waiting for the price to fall that low are simply living in a fantasy world. it's not realistic to aim for the price to fall that low. just forget about it.
953  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: June 16, 2016, 02:14:51 PM
One of the problems with saving your money with a bank is that the small amount of interest you get from them right now does not out pace inflation so you will be losing money the longer you money is in the bank just because of inflation alone.
You would be losing even more money if you account in the opportunity cost of the investments you could have made with the money while it is in the bank.

this week there was a complete news item about people removing a large percentage of their savings to use that money for investment purposes. the low interest rates are a reason for that, but also the fact that some backs even consider to charge negative rates on savings accounts. that to me doesn't make any sense. how much more want banks to squeeze out people? it's just insane.
954  Economy / Speculation / Re: Vote on the Peak of the Current Rise! on: June 16, 2016, 02:06:13 PM
my guess is that the price will touch $1000 as the ultimate top for this year. the price has gone up a lot already, so i am not sure how much more increase we can realistically expect.
955  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin continuous rising? on: June 16, 2016, 12:24:11 PM
I don't think the price will just rise constantly.  We are going to see changes in price up and down like we have in the past and like the stock market changes based on good or bad news and demand.
But now, we are seing the price is constantly rising, im predictin that bitcoi  would hit 1100$ after bitcoin halving. The price of bitcoin is now 731$

Id say $1000 to be exact, this is have a big jump once we hit month of July, hype is keep on going around bitcoin community so I bet the price increase will keep on going.
I agree with you, this is a very big leap for bitcoin prices, I also think that prices will stop increasing when the bitcoin bitcoin price reaches $ 1000, but after that I do not know whether prices will persist or otherwise

the higher the price is, the more intense the block halving hype will get. especially at the moment the price hits $1000 again. it will be on the news channels in every part of the world. imagine how many yolo investors then will try to put money into bitcoin hoping to make quick profits. it will be insane for sure. we have some interesting weeks ahead of us.
956  Economy / Speculation / Re: It is Buy time! on: June 16, 2016, 12:12:00 PM
Still feels like buy time to me. We're rallying and holding for weeks and ws have weeks to go too. This steam boat won't stop until halving.

I do not think its the right time right now because the bitcoin is now pretty high and if you buy it now the profit will not be very huge with the halving.
I think buying right now will let you gain profit but it will be minimal.

well, people also said that when the price was around $500, and still it went to $600. after that the $600 level was high, and now we touched $740!! it's just insane how the price goes up. bitcoin keeps surprising us every day. maybe that we'll hit $800 at the end of this week, or else maybe at the beginning of next week. either way, right now holding is the best thing to do.
957  Economy / Speculation / Re: is it time to sell? on: June 16, 2016, 12:02:25 PM
My strategy is as follows.
With every 100 dollar rise from now; i.e. 700, 800 I will sell 10%. When I've sold 50% I will wait and hold for some time. To make a new strategy.
If the price goes up, I will sell more.
If the price goes down I will start buying again.

if you sell small parts of your coins on the way up, you'll constantly benefit from an increasing price. that's much better than selling all your coins at once. people that do sell everything will surely regret doing so as they see the price keeps going up. great strategy!
958  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good idea to buy bitcoins now? on: June 15, 2016, 02:40:06 PM
I was wondering if it was a good idea to buy Bitcoins now considering that there are only 42 days left until Bitcoin block reward is halving.
what do you guys think? Smiley
I think that it is not a bad thing because if you buy now you will still be able to make money this month. So if you have the money to spend, spend some on bitcoins.

the price right now is more than $230 higher than the price was when that question was being asked. buying right now is quite risky as the price can go either up or down from this point. holding or selling some coins is the best option.
959  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never reach $700 again on: June 15, 2016, 02:02:01 PM
This is why I have liquidated my position in Bitcoins. There is very little upside going forward. Block size limit is too low. No forward moves of late have any traction whatsoever and demand continues to lag. Way too little upside for such a risky proposition so my advice is to move into dollars.  Only a significant change in the economy could alter this forecast.
The bitcoin value can hit $700 any time soon now so I am waiting for that to sell my coins. I hope that the value can reach that amount before the halving is coming in.

the price went already over the $700 price level. why didn't you sell your coins at that time? it was the perfect time to secure profits.

Neeever again... Cool

Yup, not possible to fall that low now, and if it falls that low many people will loose their faith in bitcoin and will switch to some other product for making investments.

only noobs will lose faith in bitcoin if the price drops that low. remember the all time high of $1200? literally no one was expecting the price to fall down to sub $200 prices again. but it did happen. never say never when it comes to bitcoin. bitcoin has proven people wrong many times already. if i see the price drop to such a low price level, then i will buy as many coins as i can with a big smile.
