1621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it possible that ETH will recover? on: December 11, 2018, 06:04:43 PM
Why not? Look at history charts, btc price has decreased to 80% of value multiple times and now you are thinking about low chances of ethereum to repeat it?

I think it's not about if it will recover but how long it'll take to do so. It's already depressing for those who bought in at a higher price to wait a year just to get even. Just goes to show that this market isn't just for making quick money because people lose money a lot more.
1622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When Will Ethereum reach 1200 again? on: December 11, 2018, 05:52:41 PM
Now ethereum is under 100 usd so i think now it will take one year atleast to roll up to 1200 usd.
It is really sad for those who bought eth at 600 usd price , i was one of them but i sold them at 400 usd earlier this year.

Same for those who bought btc earlier this year, losses amount to around 70 to 80 percent. That hurts if you're a small investor or trader since there's no sign of you getting even at least in 2019.
1623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: everything will be ok. trust in crypto. on: December 11, 2018, 01:54:07 PM
Firstly I've noticed your post I thought you've decided to sell t-shorts on bitcointalk just to get by this time Grin
Well, I haven't lost trust in crypto, so I am going to continue this activity

Lol. I think most of us are trying to find other ways to get us by and not check our portfolios until this bear market passes us by. Though battered and beaten, we still trust this market that gave us some good runs in the past 🙂
1624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to buy back every thing on: December 11, 2018, 01:48:01 PM
I think it is time to buy BTC and alts step by step.
We may not see this price again.
If you had bought your bitcoin last November then you have been trapped with this bearish situation and your one of those many holders of bitcoin that will wait for the recovery. The price today seems too much cheaper but we don't know if this will still go down or start to rise up. I think I need to wait until the market will start to increase the demand.

Yeah it doesn't seem to be ready to recover just yet and the holidays are coming so i don't think there'll be any major buy ins to support a run. Let's see this january though 🙂
1625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH to 80$ on: December 11, 2018, 01:44:52 PM
If the update will be in time, hope we will see again rise of ETH) But if it will be postponed again we will see a new bottom.

A lot of people have been disappointed by how ethereum dropped to this level and by the looks of it, it's more likely to drop more than recover. Though eth for me has always been a long term coin so probably this is just a good chance to accumulate and hope for the best.
1626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH: Deep crash before going to the moon? on: December 11, 2018, 01:42:11 PM
I hope that it is true the ETH has crash down so deep ,
We are hoping for a good return we would love to see it go high again .
Just keep on holding on wait till we could see the moon again.
An interesting event will happen by January for ETH's hard fork but there's no new coin that will be generating. It's about the upgrade that everyone has been waiting of.

This is just a part of it but it's not yet done, there's more to come about ETH and these crashes are going to be part of the history on how ETH needs to crash before going to the moon.

Well you might need a little more patience if you're hoping for the moon for eth. I don't think it'll make a run enough to cover for all the losses for it's recent "crash". I didn't expect eth to go this low to be honest and there seems to be no bouncing back yet.
1627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: December 10, 2018, 05:45:47 PM
How about the Philadelphia 76ers.
They also won against a strong Detroit even without Embiid playing in the floor.
Suddenly I have seen a better Ben Simmons in defense. I think he got 4 blocks against Drummond. He is going to be better the next few years. He just needs that perimeter shooting.
Yeah, the Sixers won the game with Butler leading the charge but i have read an article wherein Embiid is complaining on his role on the team now with the arrival of Butler. Seems he is disappointed that he is not the go to guy for this Sixers team and this is not looking good. This is the scenario that i feel that will come to Sixers. Embiid with a diva attitude plus Bulter with a diva attitude. They maybe winning now but comes playoff time, relationship between players will be a plus factor to advance to the finals.
And they will be playing again tomorrow and Embid is going to play, that is why the Sixers are the heavy favorites in this game.
Well, for me, I know Sixers are a good team and Pistons are on the back to back game, the +7 is something that I like to take, I will also bet on the moneyline.

Revenge for the Pistons....

Embiid and drummond is always a good matchup though i guess we'll how well the chemistry would be between butler embiid now that the latter has voiced out his frustration. If these two could get along they have a very potent lineup along with the soon to be 2 time rookie of the year ben simmons 🤣🤣🤣
1628  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What cryptocurrency would you engage to gamble in? on: December 10, 2018, 05:21:26 PM
Bitcoin is still my coin for gambling while we still have lot of other crypto currencies just because of liquidity. In case if I won lot of money from bets I immediately want to cashout it and enjoy so my preference will be bitcoin since it is easily transferrable into my local currency.

Lol. At this point? I wouldn't feel bad if i gamble with all my ether haha. The situation is that bad that i can just buy back the ethereums i lost at probably a cheaper price 🤣
1629  Economy / Economics / Re: What Would be The Next On BTC Please Share Your Opinion? on: December 10, 2018, 05:14:51 PM
I think that bitcoin is the one which has an edge in the market and in my opinion Bitcoin can not be challenged by another coin and i love to say that people who have crypto holding now they are very lucky because they can get benefit from it and when the market recover many new projects will start this for payment currency so bitcoin can be the leader now and in future too,

Yes that is true, cryptocurrency gives colors to everyones life. It is because if you have crypto your life will be easy it is because it can be done with transaction and can fullfil the warmth that all of us wants and can buy what we really wnated and needs in life, BTC is joyful to all.

Lol. Are you even aware of what crypto is putting  many people through right now? Oh it indeed brings color to our lives, more specifically red 🤣🤣🤣 you make it seem like cotton candies and unicorns where in fact it is not.
1630  Economy / Economics / Re: Remember: Bottoms are ALWAYS higher than your idealized entry point on: December 10, 2018, 05:05:32 PM
Very good point. Btw, what is true is that - like it or not - the value of bitcoin is not tied to anything other than the "opinion" of investors on its future. I know this also applies to the rest of the economy, but to the bitcoin to the highest degree.
Then nothing can prevent tomorrow from falling to zero as you get to $ 100,000.
But it's fun and you do not get bored .... Smiley

Lol. Oh you don't get bored indeed 😆 this market seems to be teasing us with false bottoms and false runs and you can really get anxiety attacks if you stress out too much on itks movements. Funny thing is we knew this can happen but we're still often caught off guard.
1631  Economy / Economics / Re: The harmful affect of a continuous downward movement of the Bitcoin price. on: December 10, 2018, 04:16:27 PM
I see it as a healthy movement despite the horrible sentiment amongst most of the people here. This market has been infested with get rich quick rookies and they did everything they could to turn this market into a shitshow.

This longer term bear market drives these rookies out, and while I feel somewhat sorry for people, because I don't want anyone to lose more than they can afford, but if utility wants to get the upper hand, this is the way to go.

What we will be left with are those who are here for the fundamentals, and not to fill their pockets and then exit. We'll see where it goes from here, but I'm not confident that we have seen the worst yet...

The new generation of "get rich quick" opporunists will emerge with a new bull cycle, it's inevitable. Combine Bitcoin's accessibility and huge popularity, and you get a highly emotional markets with "doom and gloom" like OP's post, or some crazy moon expectations with lambo's. I believe time will cure this behavior, eventually volatility will decline and Bitcoin will become boring - it will still move a lot, compared to stocks and other traditional markets, but less crazy than now, so it will be more usable as currency and store of value.

Yeah you can't really purge those kinds of thinkers out since the market eventually recovers. Excitement will once again get us to high levels with fomo more likely drawing these people back in again. And in a continuous trend like this, some real traders actually lose interest and get out.
1632  Economy / Economics / Re: If you had 10000$ on: December 10, 2018, 04:10:25 PM
50% my own business - for sure. This may include businesses within the realm of Crypto.
25% in BTC/ETH
25% in Stocks/Bonds, etc.

Let's face it, BTC/ETH is wayyy too risky to put 100% of your funds into.

And i don't think any sound investor would think just within bitcoin and ethereum with that much money in hand. I mean, it's very similar to gambling if you don't consider other options.
1633  Economy / Economics / Re: ETF rejected on: December 10, 2018, 04:07:06 PM
As they said in the SEC, it can be approved tomorrow and maybe in 10 years.

Exactly, there is no deadline set so the decision could be made anytime.
That is why it's important not to rely on that and not to expect too much from ETF. To be honest I don't think this will influence market in some very significant way so don't base your decision and strategy on that, it doesn't make sense.

From what i am read, final decision is end february. Hoping this is true and ETF approved by authorities because it will increase investor confident. With ETF, financial institution must be want to invest in bitcoin and crypto.

How exactly will it increase confidemce? And that deadline you're saying which is to feb next year has been moved several times already. I don't think an etf approval is the solution to this market crisis at all.
1634  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and Fiat - this is how I see the future on: December 10, 2018, 04:04:46 PM
That is true. The government could have a hand in all this. I mean they would want to have as much control to the currency as possible in order to manipulate the market and even yes allow criminal activities. But if blockchain technologies are put in place, i think transactions will be so transparent that governments wouldn't like it.
actually I don't see that bitcoin, or other altcoins will replace fiat. however, I began to think that the technology possessed by cryptocurrency would be the thing that supports the development of fiat transactions on the internet in the future.

Well the technology that runs crypto right now doesn't really sit well with something that's greatly controlled by a sole government. Blockchain gives control back to the people, one thing that banks wouldn't want to let go of. But i can't see as well how crypto can be suppressed so it seems both will be available in the future with people deciding which is better for them.
1635  Economy / Economics / Re: Confirmed, bull run begins now, what expectations? on: December 10, 2018, 04:00:27 PM
Nearly one billion dollars has entered bitcoin today according to cryptonic news item. This week has seen btc doing very well and all are excited.I know most people have individual plans for a moment like this, let's hear yours.

If this news is true why Bitcoin price value according to the https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/ it was down now into 3560$.
And this news was already published 5 months ago. And the bull run is supposed to be happening now but its not in the reality things happened at the present time now.

Well truth is, many of us had the same expectation as this guy from july. I personally didn't expect to break bottom again after we wen't steady around 6.5k for a long time. The market effed us again bigtime when we least expected it to.
1636  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the Market Stabilizing? on: December 10, 2018, 03:57:56 PM
Bitcoin was stable for a while there - as someone who runs a business accepting Bitcoin, it was actually somewhat appealing.

Unfortunately, with the prices going down, this is no longer the case. I was actually starting to promote that the currencies volatility was getting better.

Well i think this market is somewhat of an advantage for businesses accepting crypto. Of course you're going to accept coins in their fiat value,  so in this bear market you actually accumulate more. You'd be smiling from ear to ear when the market recovers.
1637  Economy / Economics / Re: The basis of being a poor- how little or how big? on: December 10, 2018, 03:55:33 PM
Well, if you put it in it's most simplest meaning and basis, being poor means that you are unable to provide for your and your family's needs. Now needs could be very subjective and will be up for debate. But if you can provide for your needs, then you're not poor. How many times over you can provide such needs places you hogher on economics, it is that simple.
I think the easiest benchmark is the minimum income limit that is obtained to meet needs. in my country there is a regional minimum wage, of which we can know whether or not the limits are poor

Yeah though there are some people who can actually make ends meet all the time but still considers themselves poor since they can't have the "luxury" Of having extra money to spend on leisure. Times change and technology has become a necessity, not just food on the plate 3 times a day.
1638  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it true that bitcoin immune from hacking & fraud ?? on: December 10, 2018, 03:51:51 PM
Bitcoin is reliable. In future, there could be something which comes with changes on blockchain, but I think that banks are gonna suffer more than blockchain technology. Banks will have to move their jobs to blockchain in future.

That's wishful thinking. It's as if you're saying that banks aren't adapting. Banks evolve along with time and possibly at par with crypto in the future. Who knows. But technology advancement also is accessible to hackers so i really don't think any of these is a hundred percent safe.
1639  Economy / Economics / Re: Price stability on: December 10, 2018, 03:45:51 PM
I'm expecting a price buff with Lightning network but other than that it's capacity has increased.

I guess we really had to go with this bear market and wait for it to end. Prices are unstable if we will always base on it, there's uncertain basis with it if that's regular basis of everyone.

Right. There should be a bottom to this trend somewhere and we'll eventually bounce from there. Problem is, a lot of us can't really afford the long wait or can't stand this kind of movement. It's going to be a while before we stabilize in a price that we want.
1640  Economy / Economics / Re: Who are benefited with cryptocurrency? on: December 10, 2018, 03:39:03 PM
From the bearish market it seema that there are individuals who were benefited with cryptocurrency and taken it as an early christmas gift for them. Probably those who control the market are mostly likely to be the direct benefactors of bear market. What do you think and who do you think control the market of cryprocurrency?
holders who have large capital, they are the ones who can easily control the price of crypto currencies.
even with the capital they have they can play with market prices.

Well obviously not many can benefit from a bear market since small holders and traders likely lose money from this. Unless you're plan is to hold for a long time, then you can benefit from these bargain prices.
