Show me proof that someone can create a storm out of nothing, then direct the path and strength of it, and maybe I'll believe you.

http://www.infowars.com/the-father-of-weaponized-weather/

Cloud seeding is not too difficult.  That's been going on for over 40 years.

I was in the area of this 'experimental' storm:

We had to seek shelter while camping, it was pretty bad.

If it's going to happen, better to rip the bandaid off fast rather than the long slow agonizing pull, and hope it comes to a head in my lifetime to save my kids and grandbabies.

You want your kids to live in a  collapsed society?

What makes you think we aren't already?

The fact that I can buy food easily.
Poor qualification. Food is readily available in Kenya and Somalia, as well.

That really is not a poor qualification, just a simple answer to a silly question.  With internet, power, medical care, entertainment and 'protection' all available (to most want it or not) the US is not a collapsed society.

A more clever answer could have been.....

"Wait...."

Tell me this isn't collapsed: http://silverunderground.com/2012/11/the-police-state-is-spinning-out-of-control/
(or at least collapsing)

It has not collapsed.  On the edge?  Maybe.  I 100% agree with the title of your link.

Obummer was elected...  :\

Maybe next time the republicans will put forth a true fiscal conservative with real ideas that have a chance of working.  I am not saying Obama's plans are going to balance the budget, but they are more likely to then Romney's.

The last time the budget was balanced was under Clinton with 39% upper tax rate.  This plus real cutting can bring us to a balanced budget and that was off the table for Romney.

People love THE APOCALYPSE because your credit card debt goes away and you don't have to show up at your boring-azz job on Monday.

This is why I love zombies. When the Zombie Outbreak occurs my big investment in firearms pays off. I get to take over Brad Pitt's house and inherit his motorcycles. The number of stupid people I'm forced to deal with everyday is reduced by 99%.

And it gets real fun when......

Brad Pitt has more guns or armed bodyguards then you or...

If you are successful in stealing motorcycles, the unarmed guy with a cleverly placed steel cable in the road steals it back.

Many people have  fantasy of how life would be after the fall of society.  The point is no matter how well you prepare there is going to be someone hungrier then you with a gun and all the time in the world.
1648  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I'm voting for Mitt Romney on: November 06, 2012, 10:24:19 PM
This gay republican voted for the black guy - again.   Grin

While you may be joking.....  Most gay people I know are fiscally conservative socially liberal and end up voting dem.  The problem is that the last fiscally conservative president we had was Bill Clinton.  Neither party is fiscally conservative now, so the choice really ends up being for the socially liberal side.

A shame, because core republican values of government out of peoples private lives SHOULD translate into equality for gays.

While the fema route may be the best financially....

All of the electronics probably need to be replaced, but being a Mustang EVERYTHING is available and often at a lower price then most other cars due to the large aftermarket.  You can get a replacement computer for about $100, a replacement instrument cluster for $100.

1655  Economy / Goods / Re: Accepting BTC and LTC for surplus technology on: October 29, 2012, 12:07:40 AM
Alrighty! It's been long enough and I've received 0.0000btc via orders from this posting. I'm going to go ahead and close up shop and go back to good ole USD. I don't know if it's a trust issue or a hoarding issue, but there just doesn't seem to be a demand here for surplus electrical and data center equipment.

Cutoff time for orders accepting BTC is going to be Friday the 26th, in case anyone was planning on ordering but waiting for a better time. Pro's don't close up shop without notice, no matter what.  Wink

One problem is clearly price.

http://www.kpsurplus.com/category/home-garden?page=3

Most of these items are going for prices above new and they are not new.  Why would I buy a used toggle switch from you for $5.99 when it is at the home depot new for $2?
1656  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donate to Gary Johnson in BITCOINS on: October 28, 2012, 01:00:32 PM
Yeah, GJ is Obama. *facepalm*

Romney is Obama. Their policies are almost identical and both are bought out by Goldman Sachs.

GJ is such a neocon who wants to cut military expenditure by 43% and legalize weed. Right. (I know, in practice, if any President with libertarian leanings were elected, there's a fair chance he would be either impeached or assassinated within the first two years of office, or Congress full of crookèd Reps and Dems wouldn't rubber stamp the President's plans.)

No, that's not true, I know Romney's position very well on the issues I care about, and many of them differ greatly from Obama. I doubt Romney can be easily "bought" since he's pretty rich already.

Romney has been bought already along with the majority of the members of the two parties.  Obama has plenty of money and once someone is president money becomes less of a concern since they have retirement and security covered for life.  Speaking roles and advisory positions will bring any president substantial dollars on demand.
1657  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do we get Gary Johnson 5% of the popular vote? on: October 27, 2012, 05:32:49 PM
Persuading republicans in solidly democrat states and democrats in solidly republican states to vote libertarian is probably your best bet.

This should help... He's bound to agree with either side on some of the issues (not necessarily the same ones): http://www.ontheissues.org/Gary_Johnson.htm

Actually in most solid rep or dem states this would work with BOTH SIDES.  Take Maryland which is about 20% ahead for Obama....  It really does not matter WHICH side you are on, a vote for Gary Johnson will not change things.  In Maryland it is almost in your interest to vote third party as neither side (dem/rep) pays you much attention at all.
1658  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 9/11 is the Litmus Test on: October 27, 2012, 05:28:16 PM
someone(s) planted explosives in all three buildings.

Deniers, accept it already

Yea, because if you repeat a lie often enough it sounds more truthful.

Well, that does seem to be the government's strategy. (Not just about this, either...there have been plenty of false flag events in the past.)

"that attack in benghazi and riots were due to a youtube video"

Except that would be the terrorists using the false flag strategy in this case.
1659  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Lawmakers seek to restrict your right to resell the things you own on: October 27, 2012, 05:26:41 PM
http://www.youvebeenowned.org/

From the page:

Quote from: youvebeenowned.org
Next week, the U.S. Supreme Court will decide whether you have the right to sell your stuff on eBay. Do you really own the smartphone or computer you’re using to read this? If you sold your books, would you be breaking the law? A federal court in New York says you would be, even if you legally paid for and bought them.

It's unbelievable, but trademark and copyright holders are trying to use a legal loophole to take away your right to sell things that you own. The mainstream media is starting to catch on, with the Wall Street Journal just running an article headlined, "YOUR RIGHT TO RESELL YOUR OWN STUFF IS IN PERIL".

Even worse... if they do uphold the extreme copyright holders interest in this case they will be encouraging MORE jobs to be shipped overseas.  First sale doctrine applies to US made items either way.  If this goes with the copyright holder interest it will give them power over items made overseas but not made here.  So if you make the book/car/video game overseas you can control it even after the first sale.  Copyright holders will have a huge incentive to make items overseas.  After the citizens united ruling I do not have much hope that the Supreme Court will do the right thing.
1660  Economy / Goods / Re: Bitcoin Coffee Cup about 1.5 BTC us shipped. on: October 27, 2012, 05:21:33 PM
QR code scans to bitcoin.org.  $13.99 plus 99 cents US shipping payable in BTC.  We do ship international but this is one item that there just is no cheap way to send so we do not recommend international on this item.

How do you take bitcoin payments? That site is all in $?

Once the order is done the total in $ is converted to BTC total by bitpay.com .  You send BTC to the address given by bitpay.com and the order is completed.
