I don't like the setup of PGL and I thought that no one has noticed that with the early stage of the TI that the players are on open area with the audience in front of them. They don't have sound proof unlike the past TIs. PGL is a thumbs down organizer and it's inappropriate to have that setup because the players can hear the casters.

The setup should be like the sound proof room where the players can't hear the casters and cheers outside. This is the result when Valve is on a tight budget and took a budget meal from the organizers. Many fans aren't satisfied or is it because it's on Singapore? They don't take seriously if the venue is from the SEA?
Caused quite a storm of dramas on reddit. As I said, everyone agreed it was very unfair for teams that didn't utilize it and made the whole match become lame. You guys had seen the final results of some matches recently, a lot of upset games there or swift victories for underdog teams. With this no soundproof booth on top of it, hola, teams that lose become bitter because they would argue that other teams have unfair advantages against them in critical moments like smokes and such. Yeah, 'unfair advantages' that usually bet sites cited to invalidate your bet slip. Time to stop betting on this TI event cause there are too many variables against our bet.

I don't think Singapore, a place that held many events around the world is looked down upon by PGL. It was fully PGL's incomplete about headsets for the noise canceling or soundproof booth for players. Even if a player with good conscious and want to play it fair, he can't just turn off his hearing from the sound leak from casters and audiences.
I think about the budgeting has something to do with it and likely Valve gave that bare minimum and PGL set it up the way they've handled the budget. But let's still give it the benefit of the doubt since there will still be one final blow next week for the semis and finals.

As for those dramas about that we've seen, I think one co-owner or part of Fnatic has officially filed a complaint against it because of the admission of some players that they can hear the casters words like what runes the players taken in-game and those stuff so, let's leave it there.

The setup should be like the sound proof room where the players can't hear the casters and cheers outside. This is the result when Valve is on a tight budget and took a budget meal from the organizers. Many fans aren't satisfied or is it because it's on Singapore? They don't take seriously if the venue is from the SEA?

SEA or not, they should take the set up and the venue seriously. It is not like it's just a few thousand dollars prize pool events. It is a multi-million-dollar prize pool. It should reflect the venue and production. And the audience paid to view the event. They should get their money's worth. How could they enjoy the event if they can't hear the casters? I think this is the worst TI so far not just about this but also the players getting covid during the tournament.
Well, if Valve is going to listen to its community, I guess that this is the last time that they'll allow PGL to handle the production. Remember the other ugly set up that they've made during Shanghai majors if IIRC.

That also has made noise in the Dota 2 community.

If you're giving advice in here to get involved in bitcoin and crypto, we're all sure that we've been into it, and we do agree with you. But if you're going to talk about it somewhere else, many will raise their eyebrows on you.

It's hard to convince people with something that you're enthusiastic about and they're not. But don't worry, soon, the natural growth of adoption is going to come and those people that don't like it when they've heard it from you will start to be curious once, been there done that.
1643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Education on: October 23, 2022, 05:49:43 PM
They can add it on the topics per se for each of the subjects that's being taught in schools. It's up to the schools if they're going to included it on their curriculum as a main subject.

But I think, giving the students an idea on what is blockchain and cryptocurrency are already enough by having it under a subject and main topic which revolves about money, finance, economy and in IT classes.

They can also make up some special classes that only teaches about these two if they want to since we're already seeing it being offered on some of short courses online.
1644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Realizing the value of holding cash on: October 22, 2022, 07:21:53 AM
If Hold Cash will not be affected by the market conditions, good opportunities at this time
At these times, we can just admit that cash is king. Economies that have been down turning is the best time to start using those cash because of the market's situation. Some may not be able to spend it because they don't think it's the best time.

But when you're an investor and tries to look at certain areas to invest with, you'll see how it's good to have some cash ready for those expenditures. I don't have enough cash and just living nowadays through paychecks which is hard based on the situation of the economy.

because the market is bearish so that investment in Altcoins immediately then we can increase and get a big profit.
Don't forget about bitcoin as the primary choice.

It would be idiotic if the players can hear the casters.
It's actually true though as one of the players a few days ago confirmed that they can hear what the casters are saying but i'm not sure if PGL already has a solution though.

Oh, I did not know that. PGL is idiotic then Cheesy I would never think that after hosting 10 TIs they would still commit this type of blunder. They removed the enclosed booth and now they have defective noise-canceling headsets too. Are they skimping too much that they are risking the integrity of the tournament? I wonder how they would solve this problem because it is advantageous to English-speaking teams.

1646  Economy / Speculation / Re: My advice to you regarding bear markets. on: October 22, 2022, 03:52:36 AM
Choice is critical.

Don't say crypto in general because there are some crypto that are not worth to be accumulated because they're bound to be dead soon and that's what we don't like to see from other investors accumulating.

That's why the choice is very critical and we've got the best of it from owning bitcoin and the other altcoins that are still alive today. Because in the next bull run, we don't know how many of them would be dead as good and can no longer recover.
1647  Economy / Gambling / Re: Unpopular opinion about crypto gambling on: October 21, 2022, 08:22:24 PM
So gambling with fiat on those platforms that asks KYC is exempted? There is nothing we can do with that, that's part of growing if you're looking at the growth of cryptocurrencies being used by casinos as their currency to gamble with.

There are still some exceptions these days and some casinos that don't ask for it if you're just a small time gambler. And that's what you just have to look at and try them if they won't ask you further to verify your identity with your stay there.
1648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you win so big on: October 21, 2022, 07:31:01 PM
As a responsible gambler, I know we don't let gambling change our lifestyle. If today is your luckiest day ever in gambling,on your first game you won the sum of $50 000.
First, will you quit the game immediately and withdraw all your funds or will you play for awhile because you are excited.

Second, will you use this money to upgrade your lifestyle i.e living big and showing off, even relocating to a better environment and forget about your old friends in your former neighborhood ? Or will you just remain quiet, happy and living a your normal way of life but investing the money into something profitable without telling anyone ?
Not going to let the casino take back that money so it's best for me to quit. Next, there's no need to upgrade my lifestyle. Money nowadays are easy to be spent and gone if you're not a wise man.

Not properly spending it is going to make you look like you're not using your resources properly and that's why upgrading your lifestyle isn't even enough with that amount. I'll just live a normal life and remain lowkey after winning such amounts.

OP, I guess that you've just been told to make an account in the forum and post that banner that has been given to you by your graphics designer. Well, the design is good but your thread isn't appealing at all since you've just posted the link of the image.

Aside from the first advises that has been said, get some ideas from the examples on how the other casino threads have been made throughout this section so you'll understand what we're saying.

1650  Economy / Economics / Re: DCA In, DCA Out, and Taking Profit? on: October 20, 2022, 12:14:44 PM
I haven't heard the term of DCA out but let's just take it that it has got the same meaning from its root. But whoever said that, we can say that it's all about taking profit and it can be the opposite of the actual DCA for investing.

Like every time that the price of bitcoin or any coin that you hold and you consider it as a good time to sell then, you'll sell at any price range as if you're DCAing oppositely.

But regardless of it, we should balance our strategy. As we DCA, we also have to take profits when it's considered good to take some and don't miss that time.

RNG's 4 seats are occupied by teddy bears with only 1 of them present. I am betting on Entity. I think RNG will have a hard time communicating here, especially at very crucial moments late game.
I am watching them right now against Entity. And even they're on that setup, I can say that they're doing a good job although it's an advantage in terms of communication when they're altogether but they have to win on this one to continue, since all the lower bracket games are best of 1 series' only for the first day, tomorrow it will be a best of 3 series for the rest.

Today one of the biggest matches happen between the Boom vs the Team Spirit, the boom manage to remove the former TI Champion in this game and they got easily drafted with this lifestealer game the SEA crowd right now in the hype to make another history in this game I guess EG will have a good time here because they are already secured in the upper bracket and give the chance to Boom to make another fight and of course the Boom shows that they well deserve to be part of the game, also right now one of the saddest story is the LGD goes down in the lower bracket.
I've watched this upset and what a play by BOOM Esports and they've proven themselves from having a 1.48% of going to the lower bracket, they've even managed to beat the former TI10 champion.

Thunder Awaken goes to secure Top 6 and the same goes for Team Secret. Team Secret, coming from LCQ now to securing the top 6 and secured prize money of $594,268 win or lose for their next matches but, I'm sure that they'll proceed longer.

How have you been scammed before by a casino OP? You've deposited and you can't withdraw your money from them? Maybe that casino isn't known by most people here and that's why you've been scammed if ever you've got that experience.

It's easy to navigate through different threads on this section to check the legitimacy of the casino that you're looking for.

You can hover and check each of the threads for every casino that's visible to you and you can dig to other pages too to see on how they've been doing with their customers.
1653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is due for a big break on: October 19, 2022, 03:13:10 AM
It's been undervalued and passed over by many pump and dumps over the years. It's a solid alt coin to use alongside Bitcoin.
I have the same definition for Litecoin, a solid coin after bitcoin but that was before when Charlie abandoned and left. When he was still there, many looked up to this altcoin and considered as the silver bitcoin in the market.

But now, even though we've been through a bull run, it didn't make a noise and neither went back to its former ATH.

After Charlie abandon and left LTC, the popularity of LTC declines, and it looks like the development and upgrade of the network gone really slow.  And many new altcoins performs better than LTC in terms of technology.
Although, it is undeniably still popular but it's different when Charlie was still there. After his announcement of selling all of his LTCs during the ATH of it, that has left the project still going but not the same as with him anymore. I still like it with its transfers and fees.

Accepted more places than any other crypto, Litecoin is one of the few altcoins that I actually use.

It's low fee, fast confirmations and 2nd oldest crypto. Can't go wrong in my opinion.
Despite that it's not able to be back on the past ATH, the utility that it has and its usage of it has been wide than the other altcoins that's been built through hype. Well, Litecoin has been built through time.
Probably LTC need more marketing or probably need a better marketing strategy.  After all, great marketing adds up to the value of cryptocurrency since a successful marketing activity can bring in new investors to LTC market.
Who's going to spend and allocate the budget for marketing then? I don't think that there's a need for that, it has a foundation already and it's still popular to date.

It is up for the community on finding out whether they're going to like LTC or not and will use it as an asset or as an alternative transfer just like what it is for most.

It is one of the collateral damage of war has but, those that have startled the war doesn't care about it because they have their own mission and agenda.

And which in their belief is the right thing to do. But probably some of them doesn't really want to go but since they are in the service, they're forced to do it because of their commander in chief.

Whatever is the command, they have no choice but to follow it. So sad that this hasn't ended yet and many kids, infants and women and even men has to suffer in the midst of this war.

And just another news came for RNG. 4 members have contracted covid-19 except xNova.

News: 3 more RNG players test positive for COVID-19 at TI11

As of posting this, they're having a match against EG and most of them are isolated while competing for the group stages. Anyway, congratulations to EG as they've secured upper bracket even if they still need to play for other matches.

This sucks. The manager should really be penalized heavily for not disclosing that he contracted covid and it caused a chain reaction of events that led to this. Good thing I chose EG to win the bet, although for sure bookies would nullify the result since it's a no-contest match.

Valve and the organizer should also be more strict when it comes to imposing covid rules and health restrictions. They should have multiple swab tests too. But yeah, they're skimping too much on the funds.
Yeah, the punishment should on their GM and not on the players. He's liable for what's happening to the team now. Honestly, RNG has been doing well not until these things occurred to them.

They should still make some restrictions and be strict with implementing health protocols and don't be too confident with loosening with this protocols.

And just another news came for RNG. 4 members have contracted covid-19 except xNova.
That's rough for RNG, covid hitting them hard today as they dropped 3 series in a row and they might end up in the lower bracket or maybe a tiebreaker for 4th since Team Liquid is still playing atm and I don't think they could sweep OG tomorrow on their last series.

It might be safe to say LGD is the second team qualified for the upper bracket since they'll be facing BetBoom tomorrow for their last series, and worst case they drop one map against them.
PSG.LGD is close in securing the upper bracket slot. Well, here are some teams now that have secured the upper bracket.

  • EG
  • Team Liquid
  • Tundra
  • Team Secret
Source: https://liquipedia.net/dota2/The_International/2022

Two teams from the last chance qualifiers have secured the Upper Bracket! 4 more teams will fill and secure the upper bracket slots this day later.

  • Never open suspicious emails or links.
  • Stay off public networks and disable Bluetooth when not in use.
Two things to remember for everyone that is not a techie at all. These two are good starts for those who are starting to be aware of the cybercrime that's happening on the web.

Don't be a victim of phishing links and as well as WIFI public access. Hackers are making their own access for those people that are ignorant about it. They're targeting those people that are used to connecting to public WiFi and connections.

There are emails that might get your attention by saying that you've won a large amount and will have the link at the end of the message, don't get fooled by those.

Well, looking at their standing today. They're no longer joking as it seems that they're on a 4-0 run, while their other 2-0 from RNG looks like an easy game for them.

They'll have their last game against Gamin Gladiators today.

While the bottom 4 as of the moment and not yet official for this day are, Boom Esports, BetBoom, Talon Esports, and TSM.

Team LGD win because of getting a by default one of their former player Sommnus got a covid and we know how this man strong in the midlane and RNG right now are struggling in the match because one of their core right now is cant fight with the bracket game, still LGD gets the win for this match because we know their capability but again there's a chance that RNG can manage to win that comeback, still there are a lot of games right now and congrats to EG the bleedblue is back again.

But, they're still winning.

I'm not just used to see PSG.LGD struggling during these group stages but that's it.

Well actually they are still good compared to like half of the teams on that group. Probably saving up their aces rather than giving it all up on the group stages but its just so random at this point though.

Going with this single bet for the opening game on day 3 though, PSG.LGD needs to start racking up wins on their next games to make sure that they will get the upper bracket so yeah this could be it though

1660  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man who lost 7500 bitcoin in a landfill asks gov't he wants to dig it up on: October 17, 2022, 06:58:43 AM
There is a small ventilation hole on the top cover with filters, so the HDD can "breath" when the air pressure changes like on higher altitudes but even if there's corrosive fluid leaking into the drive which is highly unlikely, the platters are made of aluminum or ceramics covered with magnetic "dust" which is coated with extra layer of carbon.
And that's why he's still got some hope if ever he finds that HDD that he's thrown before. But, what if all of the search efforts would be gone in vain and a long time ago, someone has already found it in that landfill?

I get the mindset of that guy and ask for help from the government and anyone who wants to find that treasure. Because it's better to share the entire amount with anyone who helps him find out rather than it's lost forever.

But that's it, what if it's already lost and they're just wasting effort and energy into looking for nothing?
