I'll bid $1400, your starting price is too high.

I'd like to see BTC flowing into my wallet in an uninterrupted way please.

Maybe approach it from a different angle and speak to bitcoin.it, oh yeah spondoolies is already on there.
1664  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMiner Tube Sales Information Thread [Round3, Price at <1btc per TH/s] on: September 15, 2014, 12:50:07 PM
Is shipping from Europe,USA or from China?

CN

NO way buying from China. My customs will rape me. They need to open store in UK.

.... You'll pay the VAT one way or another. If you buy from the UK, the price will start 20% higher. I'm not sure what magical unicorn scam network you think exists that you can buy from which will allow you not to pay the required taxes.

+! This, someone has to pay the VAT somewhere along the line, either the reseller or the importer.
1665  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: TuringStations Razor Bitcoin Miner (The worlds first 7 TH miner) shipping now on: September 15, 2014, 11:37:59 AM
Anybody bought this?

I hope not, but I fear people who don't know about the bitcointalk forum will send money, then do a search and find this thread and discover they have been scammed Sad
1666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: September 14, 2014, 07:34:31 PM

Do you have a EU tax number?

If YES, then itīs possible for KnC to say that it was a B2B sale.
If NO and you paid EU tax on the sale from KnC, itīs B2C sale.

Itīs that simple to be honest Smiley

This is false, you can be a business without a EU Tax or VAT number.

You can be a sole trader, you can be a consultant, you can be whatever.

You agreed to the T&C's before you paid for the goods, the T&C's specify the sale is only to businesses.

does the SP35 have a PSU inside or not?

"With the SP35 we replaced the PSUs to squeeze out even more out of the RockerBox ASICs."

pictures are from SP31 I guess.

http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/products/sp35-yukon-power-november-batch-1

Yes PSU's are internal. They just replaced the ones that were in the SP30/31 with more powerful ones, but in the same place they were before.

Seems there is a new release of namecoind.

2014-09-12 Out now: Namecoin v0.3.76 at http://namecoin.info/

Wonder if this will fix the problem, as people have noticed there hasnt been a NMC payment since mid August.

While I wait for tech support to get back online, has anyone had a SP10 just not want to start up?

The symptoms are that it will not stay powered on. It will not even get to the point where is pulls a DHCP address so that we can access it. It will initially power up but then it will turn itself back off.  I have no ethernet or fans. We tried different power cables and power ports on the pdu.

Does it sound like a bad PSU or a MMC corruption?

So just in case anyone else has a similar problem in the future, or if anyone has had it in the past, I'll update.

To summarise, SP10 that had been hashing at SP-Tech for a few months arrived at my colo, with the above symptoms.

Things that have been suggested to try are swapping the PSU with a working one (luckily I have a SP10 I can swap with), and doing the SD-recover following the instructions from here: http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/blogs/technical-blog/13098521-sp10-sp30-recovery-sd-card-boot-sd-card-creation-instructions

Will update more as I get more down the remote troubleshooting on Monday, in the meantime if anyone has had a similar symptoms and has a quick fix suggestion I'm all eyes Smiley

Cheers

First see if the led on PSU is green after restart. If not it is a PSU issue and it should be replaced.
Otherwise please follow the procedures for SD recovery (mmc corruption).
If recovery fails (mmc problem), create boot SD and try to boot from it.
If it fails, contact us regarding fixing the unit.

Thanks zvisha, will try the psu first.

What is or was the Price of the SP31? I have been going back and forth with SP-Tech Sales, however I cannot seem to get the answer to the only question I care about.

$3920 for the October batch. http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/products/sp31-yukon-october-batch-1

Hello All,

How did the SP upgrade to 2.3.43 went?
Did anyone have had to manual power cycle the machines?

thx

Mine went seamlessly, and then to 2.3.46 as well. Haven't seen it make any difference though Smiley

I feel bad for all you folks that got into this I'm sure OP had good intentions to begin with but not the technical skills to back it up. I think Mr Lee is over his head. I sincerely hope you people don't loose too much money on his hosting scheme. Any new customers should be very wary of having anything hosted by this guy, it is ridiculous!

Personally, its not been so bad, but I think most people have gone into it with their eyes open.

As with everything some have had a rougher ride than others for one reason or another, and its certainly not cost me as much in downtime as the delivery, import and tax costs to get one delivered from China. Those days are gone for me now.

He really needs to adjust his prices again soon, the costs for hosting are dropping for most. I'd also like to see an upgrade path to the newer models, and perhaps a fairer compensation plan for outages that covered hosting rental and lost revenue.

But overall I'm pleased with the service.
YMMV of course.

i am going to beijing to attend one bitcoin meeting and during these two days the reply maybe delay, trying to find some people to help me on our service, as for downtime , no necessary to worry i will cover all the lost exceed 48 hours

48 hours compensation is for the economy DC right?, for the professional DC, which is where my miners are located, its 7 hours.
1678  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Hacking BFL Monarchs to.... Just bought one, we're going to find OUT! on: September 12, 2014, 01:10:50 PM
Quick update, found bfgminer off again, odd since it shut down at 6.15AM, same time as yesterday. Internet by home plugs in the shed (over power line) may be the culprit, making a 40 meter utp cable tonight to try tomorrow. The custom bfgminer 4.2 shuts down right away, I restarted everything before trying it.
BCP about the leds, nearest one to the back usb port act similar on both units, one unit has an extra led, it blinks about 6 times very fast, then off for a sec, then blinks about 6 times very fast, then off for a sec., and so on.
I've set several back-up pools, no change, will look into that restart app. too, thanks for the tips lightfoot and bcp.

Had problems with powerline and miners in my garage. Just ran a cable instead and never had a problem again.

Still use it for other equipment though without issue.

Still down for me, thats 7 hours now. Started at 8:15AM BST (15:15CST)

Also www.easy2mine.com is not reachable.

Back up, 8 hours downtime.
1680  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 11, 2014, 05:55:04 PM

very strange, but seemingly common enough to be in the FAQs

after 3 power cycles myminer.io is working - NOTHING else is

Hopefully zvisha or someone from support will arrange with you to remote access to your device and sort it out, I could be wrong but I don't think you will get much help from most of the enthusiasts on the forum, not for want of trying but more for lack of technical insight.
