they argue that the code is protected by First Amendment safeguards on free speech.
These guys are pretty out of touch if they imagine that is any reason to take comfort.

Nor does he deny that Dark Wallet might enable heinous crimes like child pornography, murder-for-hire, and terrorism. “Well, yes, bad things are going to happen on these marketplaces,” Wilson says.
I'd like to see someone make a more easily traceable wallet or coin...just as an experiment

you're right time will pay, LIM is several light years from LM in term of developpment and marketing
devs ar working hard on it, but price are dropping so much theses times it's a shame ...
X11 is the future !!
It is a shame. I just bought some @ europex for 0.000005. We need to have some point of differentiation

I suggested something to Evan last night.  Imagine this;  The master nodes are decentralized.  There will be a lot of them by the time this gets going, therefore they are another decentralized service.
Thank you. Is there a link that explains "master nodes". I like the coin and want to support it but I'm just not very tech savvy to be honest, though I'm trying to increase my knowledge.
Where can I learn about the benefits of DRK?

No news - price doubles. RC2 testing - price drops 30%. I'll just hold what I have left and forget trying to make more from trading it.

People who are trading and/or pumping it probably don't even know about RC2.. or RC1 or masternodes for that matter.
I have to admit I don't know about them ..not that i pumped it. I was lucky enough to be sleeping when it ran up, so it was already over 40.
Mind you this was  rare occasion with a coin when I increased my position as the price went up.
I don't belive it is a pump and dump coin, as it has something unique and beneficial.
That said it will likely be volatile at times

Cryptsy market making bots will walk the price down, they have probably shortsold some

panic sellers have begun!
Well that is to be expected. Im glad, I sold half, and have been hoping it comes down to buy in again and end up with even more

Good work using bold and blue colors to pull attention to yourself. With that said, I have <1% confidence in anyone's chart reading abilities. Chart analysis is pretty meaningless.
But wasn't that ABC corrective structure good in the last 24 hours or so. Smiley

Will the Draksend feature become open source?

Yes.

That to me is a slight concern.
Here is why. darkcoin is one of the few coins that has something beneficial and different. Clones are sure to appear.
If Darkcoin is to have a market cap in the tens of billions or even hundreds of billions, as it becomes more widespread, then it needs to get the marketing right IMHO.

Otherwise someone will come out with a clone called "goodcoin"...and I think that the wider community is far more likely to go with something like that than Darkcoin.
I belive at some stage if the coin wants to fulfill it's potential the name will have to change.
Just my 2 cents

Don't read your chart!!

Read the Darkcoin whitepaper

f'ing brilliant!! -> http://www.darkcoin.io/downloads/DarkcoinWhitepaper.pdf
Presumably when Darkcoin is worth $1000, the 0.1 DRK fee will be reduced?

Will the Draksend feature become open source?
1671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XIV] Xivra accepted by HostDab ! on: April 26, 2014, 09:45:54 PM
The only hope for Xivra is to implement Darksend  Smiley when the opportunity comes

With each new coin mined, every other indivudal coin that exists loses a fraction of its value, regardless of the total market cap
If that were the case the Bitcoin would only go down, but it's value has increased. So whether your coin becomes valuable depends on whether people want it, not whether more coins are still being released
What I think you mean (without getting too pedantic) is its proportion of the available pie decreases.
But with Bitcoin this is not a problem as we know there is only  21 million coins. Some are released, some are yet to be released.
There is no limit when it comes to a fiat currency. So I don't think you can
You are just choosing to experiment with releasing them over a different time period. You are speeding up the mining. You aren't changing the nature of it.

Anyway...good luck with the experiment

So they aren't worth .00000001 LTC
Overproduction is what is devaluing the USD and most cryptos
What is the difference between having 1 coin out of 1 million and having 1000 coins out of 1 billion? It's the same percentage of a fixed pie. The problem with the USD is that the pie is increasing, without any limit on how big the pie will get, especially WRT economic growth.

When you see what we do with the website it will make more sense. With only 1,000,000 total, just holding them is the smartest thing to do, both short and long term
Since the coins are pretty much infinitely divisible why should the amount of coins matter?
If less coins is better, why stop at 1 million?
1676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Limecoin (LC) | Almost Mined Out | No PoS | Now on UseCryptos and Bittrex! on: April 26, 2014, 05:41:10 AM
You guys decide what to do with it. Think you're a good trader? Let's see your pump skills. Nobody can mine more coins to dump after the first few days.
Are there any plans or thought to have this coin integrated into real world transactions, or is it only for trading?
Is it envisioned to be a "store of wealth" or is there no particular vision except what the community comes up with later?

Just asking..as you've compared it to BC. But BC's attraction for me, is it addition to www.coinkite.com

Does this coin have a website?

Addresses are different, symbols are different, algorithms are different. Had they been cool, I would have changed it right away. But since they came in the thread, talking crazy shit, we will just out perform them and make them obsolete instead
Great. The crypto community will start fighting itself.  Roll Eyes Way to go.
1679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] LimeCoin | Two Day Mining | 100% Distribution via MINING not giveaways on: April 26, 2014, 05:11:02 AM

Oh, I didn't see the links in their thread. Either way people will only see the symbol. So even if we are on the same exchanges, it will not be confused. We also have Limecoin on github and Limecoin@gmail.com, so I didn't think there was one. The symbols and mining are totally different. Nobody will be confused
If you have the same name people are bound to get confused, even moreso if both coins gain some traction. As more and more people are introduced to crypto's it will be confusing.. It seems a very risky strategy, in the long run, to have the same name as another coin.

Can't send coins between networks. Ours starts with L, theirs doesn't. You can't really get confused

At the present the overwhelming majority of people interested in both coins are pretty tech savvy, but as more and more people become exposed to crypto coins this will change. Then a lot more people will get confused.
But there will still be some confusion now too.
