IMO cherry-picking is not a good idea.

Dada might have fallen out with his political connection but no one can deny that he was a big failure as BCCI's boss, not to mention he overstayed so there are many reasons to replace him with a new face and not just political reasons.

Jay Shah is a product of nepotism but at the same time, it's also true he's not that bad with his administrator skills. Being a cricketer and an administrator are 2 different things, it helps if a man in charge is former player but it doesn't guarantee that he'll succeed when leading the board.
Jay Shah is good on the administration, but he holds the power of Dada. So, every decision of Dada will have the words of Jay Shah. If a former player holds the position of Jay Shah now we could've experienced a big change in the Indian cricket. Jay Shah out of nepotism holding position is acceptable, but they should not try mixing cricket and politics which is really bad for the future of cricket.
1682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 13, 2022, 10:33:59 AM
I thought the final would be India Women vs Pakistan Women, but things changed at the last overs of the match where Pakistan was unable to score 9 runs in 6 balls. Nida Dar contributed good, but she wasn't able to make it a winning match for them. Achini Kulasuriya bowled well at the last over making Srilanka win by 1 run. The final will be played on 15th October, India Women vs Srilanka Women.
1683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 12, 2022, 11:18:21 PM

In today's match, England failed to collect some more runs. Almost everyone failed in the entire innings with only two players contribution to take the match far. Dawid Malan and Moeen Ali accumulated score 126 from 178 runs in a whirlwind batting for England. But I want to say Australia ahead in this match and provably win this match today.
The entire batting line up of England failed and only 3 players scored double figure runs and yet they were able to score 178 runs when Dawid Malan and Moeen Ali was able to built a good partnership and then as a bonus Australian fielders dropped as many as 4 catches which i counted and then stopped counting and the way England played tonight shows how they are the favorites in the upcoming World Cup.
Even at that situation makeing 178 runs is a good score. Finally they were able to win the match. Both the T20 matches were won by a small margin. These days dropping catches have turned to be very common. In the series South Africa vs India the catch percentage was 67% which is due to the drop of 15+ catches.
~
Bangladesh has not yet become such a strong team that they will beat Newzealand. Today's match was sure to lose Bangladesh but Bangladesh scored less runs than expected. I thought Bangladesh might score 190 to 200 runs but they lost all overs for just 160 runs. It is sad for Bangladesh and Bangladeshi supporters
New Zealand dropped a lot of catches in this match and there was even a funny moment when 4 fielders were under the ball but none of them attempted to take the catch thinking the other would complete the catch. They should improve on their butter fingers if they want to pose any challenge in the World Cup.
Those incidents happen with cricket and after a long I was watching such a moment. Most of the time one player takes stand to go for the ball and the other rounds him. They should've followed it.
1684  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you visit the casino while travelling? on: October 12, 2022, 11:09:39 PM
Offline casinos have some really good amenities so why not? I don't see any issue as long as you have the money to enjoy the place and you don't fear catching a virus from interacting with people. Maybe I'll drop by one of the famous places one of these days to treat myself. I'm pretty sure it will be fun hehe.
When you have money, reaching an offline casino and having fun on travel will be a nice experience. I also have little fear getting into the casino, because it can also end my travel and sit empty handed. Most of the time we get into gambling for the purpose of entertainment and finally it leads to addiction or loss of funds which makes people very sad.
1685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Parents And Their Children In Gambling.. on: October 11, 2022, 11:59:30 PM
I am having plan to just hide it from children and yet let them know what is gambling addiction and how to avoid it.

Sorry to say this letting them know about it is just as giving them an information that was not in their mind before more of less rekindling the effects of gambling in them. Well your wife could be free to know and as a man your sources of income, way of living should be let known to your wife depending on how understandable your wife seems to be, back to your children. Its a good thing they don't have the idea at their little stage maybe can be controlled at their maturity stage maybe from 19 years up because at this stage they now knew the risk involve while gambling and can mentally and physically controlled it.
That's a wrong perception, it is always good to keep them prepared than making them right after experiencing hard days. What have been said is right, everything needs to be transparent within the family members, but there is an age limit to educate on certain things. This is good, but the present generation can't be handled in such a way.

Recently in my country a small kid playing some game using his parents smartphone have used $10000+ to purchase equipment and other accessories in the game using the parents credit card. What can be done, if we've taught about this earlier this could've been avoided. Rather than age factor I find it is the way how we explain to them.
1686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: October 11, 2022, 11:01:35 AM
India VS South Africa

The two teams meet again in today's series-clinching match. India won the toss and decided to bowl. And South Africa did not start their innings well. They lost the crucial wicket of de Kock by just 7 runs. And Malan returned to the dressing room with 25 runs. They lost two openers for just 25 runs in 7.5 overs. It looks like we will see a low score in this match as well. As Indian batsmen are in great form now. So India's chances of winning today's match as well as the previous match are high. The series is likely to be won by India. South African batsmen's performance against Indian bowlers is not very good.
Unfortunately, African cricket capitulate helplessly to Indian cricket. So far, they have lost 7 wickets and managed to score only 94 runs in 25.2 overs. It can be said that their beginning is through distraction. In the condition of the match, India can definitely win. And through this victory, the ODI series was also won. It can be said that their matches against South Africa were tremendous in this session.
Indian bowlers completely dominated the match. I was expecting the South African side to go beyond 100 but unfortunately their batting order collapsed. This is lowest score by the South African team against India in a ODI match. India should not have any issue in chasing such a small target and win the series.
Yes, in today's match South Africa have recorded it's lowest ODI score against India. This match is going to be a win for India. Kuldeep Yadav took 4 wickets, Mohammad Siraj, Washington Sundar and Shahbaz Ahmed took 2 wickets each. Indian bowlers dominated the match. It was Heinrich Klaasen who tried to add some score, unfortunately bowled out at 34 runs.
1687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 11, 2022, 07:58:09 AM

As Babar and Rizwan returned to the fold with 21 and 16 respectively, I did not expect a big collection from the Pakistan team. And Pakistan ended their innings for just 130 runs. 130 runs is a very low collection on such a pitch. At least 160-170 runs were required for the fight. We thoroughly enjoyed a one-sided match. As a result of such a low target, the Pakistani bowlers could not put up any resistance. New Zealand reached the target of victory by losing only 1 wicket. The performance of Pakistan's batsmen is getting worse day by day. They are not finding talented batsmen.
As Babar Azam and Rizwan failed to score good, Pakistan ended with the low scoring of 130 runs losing 7 wickets. Look at the situation, even with 21 runs Babar Azam stay on the third position of scoring high for Pakistan. Pakistan needs to improve, depending on specific players won't give hands every time. New Zealand played good with its bowlers as well as batting. Without pressure the chasing took place and finally Convoy missed his half century.

1689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When betting becomes to high on: October 10, 2022, 11:39:31 PM
A responsible gambler should know when and how to apply caution to his gambling rate especially when it gotten allover him as an habit, some don't care to eat, or fulfill some tasks a d responsibilities ahead all because gambling has taken away their precious right thinking minds, begin to take note of yourself whenever two or more people are giving complaints about your involvement into gambling, if you must gamble then other areas of your life and people around you must not suffer the cost to your commited gambling activities.

I think the key is to have hard limits of money you put into a gambling day/night.

Once that money runs out, you shouldn't really put any more money into it, as that's probably the start of your financial ruin.

The moment there's no control of your spending is the moment you basically have a gambling addiction problem.
Agreed, with gambling it is a must to get fixed to the rules framed. Myself used to set limits and when I loss certain part of the capital I was supposed to leave. What I do, increase the bet amount to recover. Then after emptying the wallet used to withdraw from the vault. As said when we stick to limits we can stay out of addiction as well as have good gambling entertainment.
1690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bangladesh has blocked 331 online casinos on: October 10, 2022, 10:59:51 PM
In the opening post it is clearly said of the politicians openly laundering money. As a reason to keep their names out of the laundering list, these politicians quite often doesn such drama. Years back Bangladesh is the country that is termed to the fastest growing economy. When the country is able to achieve it amidst the corrupt politicians in rule, there could've been even better growth if the corruption of politicians were stopped.

In the past people using cryptocurrencies were arrested and this time the block is not gonna make anyone suffer. Because people always look for the ways to use it, same happened even when the police arrested people on using cryptocurrencies.
1691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Namibia Now Accepts Bitcoin As Payment on: October 10, 2022, 10:39:52 PM

I discovered that it is the developing countries that are hungry to accept Bitcoin. They are also making their laws lenient on Bitcoin while some of the developed countries are not concerned about Bitcoin. Rather they are looking for means to starve bitcoin to death, by making or planning to make unfavourable laws for bitcoin and bitcoin mining.

In the other words, any country which is initially hard on bitcoin and later becomes soft could  be looking for a way to shill their CBDC with bitcoin.
More countries that are against cryptocurrency in the past have begun to adopt cryptocurrency finding ways to keep everything under control through the regulated usage. Even now governments weren't ready to accept the real potential of bitcoin, but they're on the side of creating negative things about bitcoin. As said, this is mostly happening with the growing countries. In the name of CBDC countries were trying to control the increasing usage which is wrong calculation.
1692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now is the perfect time to invest in Bitcoin on: October 10, 2022, 09:28:59 PM
We should try as much as possible to stay away from Bitcoin market speculations as a holder and not constant draining of ourselves of our time trying to analyze or speculate the price of Bitcoin so at this moment what Bitcoin price will be in the next couple of years to come can't be speculated, just as you rightly said in the body of your statement in this post, Bitcoin was at a high price of $72k in 2020-2021 but in 2022 Bitcoin is struggling to retain the 20k price trench mark, so speculation of Bitcoin price is a total was of time.
Speculation is part of the market. Through observation it is possible to understand the real market progress. For now there is no big bullish move. The high price of bitcoin happened through demand. The demand happens out of continued speculation about the market. We can't say speculation to be waste of time. Whenever we get an opportunity to invest at a lower price it is good to make use of the opportunity which will help us experience the profiting at the earliest.
1693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Early Adopters rich? on: October 10, 2022, 05:48:33 PM
According to me, very few of the early adopters of bitcoin were filthy rich. This could've happened out of luck, even the hard users of bitcoin weren't lucky enough to hold for a longer time. They just have panic mind, and this isn't the right time. Early adopters could've experienced the best out of bitcoin investment. But, countable number of users have used it in recent days.
1694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Take bitcoin as the virtual currency, that perform better than physical currency on: October 10, 2022, 03:59:51 PM
There is no doubt, bitcoin have performed well against other physical currencies. At the beginning people feared and have a different opinion over bitcoin as an asset developed for the purpose of gambling and illegal transactions. With time people started to accept the true value as the price of bitcoin started to grow.

Inflation is experienced all around, and people are moving much towards cryptocurrency. Some banks out of bankruptcy doesn't allow people to withdraw their own money in the bank. Bitcoin have served as people's own bank securing our holdings.
1695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does everyone want bitcoin to be stable in price? on: October 10, 2022, 07:44:58 AM
I believe "no". Not all want's bitcoin to be stable and those people are mainly investors or are using their btc's for asset use because how can they earn if that happens? They can't buy at lows and sell at highs anymore but for the people who are only using their btc's as a currency then they might be wishing that btc will get stable someday, that way, there will be no miss calculations that can happen whenever they make a payment.

For the question if how can be btc be stable? I think it has something to do with its supply. Maybe if they can increase it more although I don't know if it's possible to modify the supply of btc not like to those who are more centralized cryptos.
I am one of those people, I would dislike it if bitcoin became a stablecoin and right now I am not that much in love with it neither. Right now it has been stable for a while and I rather have some ups and downs, I like that it's low so that I could buy some more, but going to 30k and coming back to 20k during this period would have been better than staying at around 20k, that way we could see a lot more volume, and volume means interest, without interest there is no volume nor any stability.

This is a big problem because we have been here for a while, and stabilized and I am hoping that soon we will get back to being volatile all over again.
Such scenario won't arise. Bitcoin being stable will destroy its true value. It is the volatility that attracts majority of the people towards bitcoin investment. Anyhow there'll be minor price fluctuation that gives way for the profiting out of the buy and sell difference. For all that want stablecoin, there were more number of stablecoins as well as government owned CBDC. People can make use of those than expecting bitcoin to be stable.
1696  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin's Price be affected by this? on: October 09, 2022, 11:49:17 PM
There's a lot of discussions about Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies being injected to Twitter so I think that's where you get the idea that it could affect the market of those.
I doubt that.
If he loses nothing changed. Now, if he wins then there might be a small effect if ever he successfully does what the rumors said. We are not there yet so let's not expect too much.
Based on the new article Elon Musk have got time till October 28 to complete the deal and acquire Twitter. Beyond that once again court trail and further procedures continue. His win in acquisition will have small impact over the market, but it won't last long. During those days, he served as an Influencer and made big changes in the market. Now people are aware about his strategy to increase his wealth and never think of the common people.

~snip~
Every season of the World Cup have got some special moments like this. Supporting an individual player based on his performance is good, but just because he's into farewell it doesn't mean his team can take the World Cup for him. There'll be different hope, yours in favour of Argentina based on Messi. It is to be noted, individual performance can't bring win in football.

Individual performance of Maradona is another thing though, specially when he was using The Hand of God  Grin They ended up winning that World Cup, unbeaten.
Such exceptions exist, and now we're in the year 2022. It was during the year 1986. There is no clear view for the referees and there is no video assistant referee. These days Cameras are rolling around and capturing each and every move of a player. Now such a goal gets caught easily and end up with a penalty  Cheesy
1698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: October 09, 2022, 10:44:58 PM

I want to say something different. This World Cup will be the best in history. Every team will try their best to win. But if we really love football, we must love Messi. So my personal opinion as Messi said this World Cup is probably his last World Cup. So I am hoping that the World Cup trophy will go to him. And I think the football world will be delighted if this World Cup goes to him.

1699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 09, 2022, 10:37:05 PM
Đoković won it fairly easily - I admit I expected more from Tsitsipas. Their last few matches were really close, which wasn't the case today.

I tink this is Tsitsipas's 9th ATP series 500 final, and he's still waiting for his 1st trophy.
He's by far my biggest disappointment if we look at the currently active players.

I'm one of the biggest fan of Tsitsipas before, unfortunately, his performance really decline in the last couple of years, really don't know what is happening from behind, but he really need to focus and go back and win at least a masters tournament.

Tsitsipas being an young player have got good support and can base. The years of experience keeps Djokovic ahead of Tsitsipas. Similar kind of game took place few months back in the Italian Open Final. Djokovic and Tsitsipas played the final and Tsitsipas won the match 6-0 75-65. Today's match looked like an much easier win for Djokovic. However Tsitsipas used to give the best in all his matches.

Already different gambling platforms were backed by reputable Bitcointalk members, so it won't be something different to consider. Whether it is from the Bitcointalk members or from a person who is new to the community, there is a need of specific things in the platform. When it gets fulfilled, automatically it'll receive the support of the gamblers.

From the very beginning we've got more cryptocurrency accepted gambling platforms turn successful through our forum as the key place for promotion. It need to be understood that gambling sites unlike the ownership it is getting good support.
