Hello I had a crash on my computer. My FLT wallet was stuck with syncing and was stacking at that time. When I restarted my wallet, it synced with the new nodes provided by unamis but I have lost coins in the process. The blockchain mentions the earlier amount of coins I had. What can I do to get back those coins pls?
Thanks for your answer.
it is normal for the wallet to orphan all stake when it's synching. coins orphaned are not lost, although you can't spend them, coin-age is not lost and the coins in your wallet will re-stake.

I have not opened my wallet in a while. The minting process is hit or miss, but that could be my CPU causing that, for all I know. I have yet to sell/trade any Zeitcoin. I still plan on letting it mint as much as possible.
you might do better staking if you let the wallet run for a while, (a few consecutive days/mo), as the wallet will orphan all new stake while synching. you don't really 'loose' the orphans, though they're not spendable, coin-age is not lost and the coins will re-stake

Someone get this coin going!
How? Silkcoin did a community take over... and is up swinging. TALK has no community so the big bag holders if there still are any should come together and make future plans. Without this, this coin will get delisted from polo anytime soon. get some bitcoin, and go on over to https://www.europex.eu/#!coin/btc/bcc, or https://poloniex.com/exchange/btc_bcc, and buy some. right now honestly you can get in for less than 20 sats this is my latest buy: 2014-07-06 05:18:23 Buy 0.00000011 2299.76812182 0.00025297 not a bad grab for $0.15 if you ask me

if anyone can recommend a windows boot disk that will allow access to the drives for backup purposes in an event like this it would be appreciated I had to install windows to a different drive to get access to all my wallets there are a few to choose from, but since i havn't used any in years, can't recomend, except, because (imho) everyone should have a handle on the free, open source OS, (linux) that is what i will, whole heartedly recomend. puppy linux is made to run from a CD. it's tiny, ~120mB, does not need to be installed, can be your 'secret' OS on a disc ... can be a little tough to get used to tho ubuntu, ArtistX, linux mint, are very user friendly, and come on a 'live DVD' from which you can try it out without installing. yes, they make great rescue discs for windows, once you learn to navigate the filesystem. but the best way is to always have a backup OS installed allready on your HDD when, not if, windows shits the bed. just create 3 small partitions on your drive(s) (1 for swap; 1.5 x your RAM, one for 'root' (/) ~20 gB, and one for 'home' ~30+gB) and you're good to go, installs + updates in an hour or 2 and you should be able to do everything you do in windows, and yes, you can choose the OS at startup, anf you will be able to access all your NTFS - FAT drives [edit] Oh, Oh yeah - if you're up to it, be sure you put in windoz first, as if you do lin first it's bootloader will be overwritten, (Win rudely ignores lin, but lin has manners and will be nice to Win )

@jwinterm
The exponential decay idea is cool. Afaik that's what Reddcoin's proof-of-stake velocity will do. It still increases over time, but it decays faster. In other words, the first 30 days of coin-age is 1:1, but then the next 30 days will take 60 days to accumulate and so forth. Definitely worth looking into. So coin-age will be infinite, but at some stage it just accrues it at a much slower rate (not 1:1). again ref: hobonickles - staking is dependent on network diff! if diff is up, PoS return becomes less than the nominal 100% and coin control is gr8

just a thought: don't even think about loading up the bc with music, fill it instead with .torrents, trhey're only a few kB, link to public tracker, files are hosted by artists and fans, who upload more torrents ... just have to figure out how to auto-mod the input.

Speaking of help, I see a few people sh*t talking. Have fun. It's only been what, a month since Bitcoin Corporation got involved? They're in the business of marketing altcoins but they're new to it and dealing with a learning curve. Word is they actually want to build a network of supporting coins and services. It's beyond my expertise. They set it up, show me the ropes and I do what I'm paid to do. My thing is wampumcoin right now. In other words, I'm trying to squeeze money and other resources out of them to grow wampumcoin. People criticize wampumcoin's current value, some of them not knowing the expenses behind the scene, of course. I remember hearing that bitcoin was worthless. Out of of "then air". Now governments are making laws. But I won't try to lecture. (...)

frankly, I don't understand the tone and voice of this either. First off, it's a little over TWO months that "Bitcoin Corporation" got involved (not "one"). Then, you guys are "in the business of marketing altcoins" (did not know that there is such a business), but despite "being in that business" you, at the same time, strangely admit that you are "new to it", as in **want to be in the business of marketing Alt coins**, not really in it! That isn't too hard to see anyway, and that's exactly why myself and a number of other guys here have repeatedly offered hands-on help (from populating that empty Wordpress template of yours to improving the texts, writing new ones, adding to the materials). Now, there isn't even a Mac wallet and the Linux wallet out there anymore. (Have they also be stolen by the old dev...?) The links were there when you guys took over, so see to it that Wampumcoin has a complete set of Wallets available -- doesn't look too good without it! (Not to mention the paper wallet issue, i e lack of it.) None of these suggestions, ideas, offers, contributions have been taken up by Bitcoin Corporation though. If you are so new, then let us help you -- we're a lot more experienced, I guess. We are a community where more than four people do, indeed, care and constantly come up with good ideas. But you ignore them. Still, you accuse people of "Sh*t talking" and are whining about others not adhering to your hoped-for censoring away of unwanted criticism. Not really inspiring much confidence, particularly in light of your actual performance. You should, at the very least, be more responsive and not add to it by that inappropriate tone. +1 honestly, it is looking as if they acquired wampum in order that it not become something. i do hope i'm dead wrong yeah, the attitude kinda just shines through, don't it sh"talk? = words without substance

Just spitballing ideas, could we integrate some kind of decentralised voting mechanism for reward of artists? This could integrate with the in-wallet player concept +1 heavycoin's wallet has built-in dectralized voting for the block reward
