Just be careful about other pages there, many are NSFW.
The web is NSFW, my friend.

True, true but ASC coins, Trannines, Traps and 4chan is an odd mix. And actually reading some of the wiki pages they are not really NSFW just link to things that might be.

Over the course of a few days I setup BitMinter on a PC with an OpenCL compatible video card and let it start working (at a fantastic 18 MH/s).

Something is wrong. Either you have an nvidia card or your setup is wrong. You should be getting hundreds of MH/s with a video card.

Try changing intensity as a simple tweak. otherwise read the readme's for your miner to get GPU details.I can't help much more than that. I I'm running 7 erupters for BTC but play with altcoins on my single 7770 GPU.

I hav some silver not kept at home. Also have shares in a gold mine inherited from my great grandfather.  Worth more for getting Annual reports with neat photos when I was a kid, but worh more now. the TV show Ice Road Truckers sometimes is shot in that area.

Check your spam folder. Mail from feathercoin.com went straight to gmail's spam folder, exactly where it belongs.

That is were it was thanks.

We'll see if it belonged there or not.

1714  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Which USB hub to use with Block Erupters | NanoFury NF1 | BPMC Red Fury? A List. on: October 10, 2013, 09:01:41 PM
Hi everyone,

I believe I've found the holy grail on USB hubs for miners. Orico makes a 10 port USB 2.0 hub (P10-U2), but never advertises is. I just got in contact with my rep, and will be placing a very large order on them. Cost is going to be significantly lower than any other hub on the list on the front of the page. The PSU is 12v/3a, and is a spitting image of the P10-U3 (which ranges in price from $50 - $65 online).

I should be able to sell them for between $25 - $30 USD including shipping. I am planning on buying at least 100 of them to save a little money on shipping to me (which is likely going to cost about $3 - 5 per unit).

I haven't seen anyone else mention this hub, so I thought I'd speak up. I've had great success with Orico, since they're the ones behind the major favorites like Anker and Satechi.

Sounds real nice I'm interested if it happens you should post in the Marketplace Goods board.

1716  Economy / Economics / Re: Government Shutdown Didn't Increase BTC Value on: October 10, 2013, 06:41:06 PM
Well, the important questions is on the 17 October.

If the raising fails, then there may be more people like to buy BTC or equivalent such as silver, gold, crude oil, copper.

a real shutdown will never happen. why make a shutdown when you can print your own money for free? raise the debt limit to 999999999999999999999999999999999999999 $ and be quite....  Roll Eyes

Because both parties believe that a default will hurt the other guy more than them. They are more interested winning the stare down than the lives of the people that voted for them.

1719  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Introduction - and interesting story (to me at least) on: October 10, 2013, 06:11:39 PM
you might want to try to find/recover your old wallet.  I got restarted on bitcoin because I founf an old wallet that had 2BTC in it. which today is worth a lot more that the 97 cents I paid for them.
