Mikaelh, I'm getting fatal errors when compiling it... :/ Ubuntu 13.04 64bits

Is there a way to send my wallet.dat from the vps to my machine?
Thanks in advance!
You can copy it, but importing private keys is easier...

Anyone know how to fix this issue?
Improving PRIV Key from (immature block)
When I get the privkey info, I go to console on my PC Wallet, and query: importprivkey <PRIVKEYGOESHERE> and I get the following error.
12:11:32 Error adding key to wallet (code -4)
Unlock wallet before doing it, posted how in the other thread.

Thanks for the info so far.. I did importprivkey address privkey and i tried without privkey at the end, and at the front.. nothing works here.. what does the label mean?
12:05:33 Error adding key to wallet (code -4)
Do this: (win qt) console: walletpassphrase *yourpw* 60 Then try importprivkey.

I'm hoping I can run bfgminer on my vps systems...I tweaked mine and am pulling 400 per instance and 1000 in others. Total is 6400pps atm, and looking to increase it to 9900pps soon.
Where are the pools!? :p
Soon yay I hope reward halves soon, so we can see price rise...cpu only pool would be fun. xD I don't think we will get to diff 10 any time soon. Who knows when? It's a nice experiment, and deviation from the other copy/paste coins. I'm enjoying it, and I hope it succeeds to fulfill it's potential.

Please refrain from mining on momento. Our seed nodes are located there. If you kill the cluster you would cause me a lot of trouble.
I made a deposit there...0.1btc, what do I do with that then? :/ How/why would it hurt to mine on say one 8 core instance? I'm not super greedy, but don't feel like wasting money. I think momento's cluster is very small, if I run mining in 2 vms, they basically each generate half compared to just run mining in 1 vm. So don't try to consume all cpu there, I already felt slow there today. Mine some, I think you should be able to make the money back. But I would advise other people refrain from mining there. Thanks Sunny, yeah, I'll try to make that back and then stop mining there.

Does anyone use Chemisist's rebuild? I've git cloned it and recompiled it on the smallest droplet (512MB 1 core) an hour ago. Didn't even had to re-size it to more memory, temporarily creating and destroying swap file for compilation, compiled while still mining. Excellent results, it's doubled pps to previous version. It varies 250-350 pps. Recommended. Same. Getting 300-450pps How do I compile that? I have the original Sunny build with the sieve update in my VPS' Thanks for the input! Quoting myself, do I just do this all over again but replace the url with chemisist's github? apt-get install git git clone https://github.com/Chemisist/primecoinapt-get install build-essential libssl-dev libboost-all-dev libdb5.3++-dev -y cd ~/primecoin/src make -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=- mkdir ~/.primecoin echo "rpcuser=ARPCUserName rpcpassword=SomethingReallyLongOK gen=1" > ~/.primecoin/primecoin.conf sudo mv primecoind /usr/local/bin/. primecoind --daemon watch 'primecoind listtransactions & primecoind getmininginfo'

So, i have a question about primecoin mining, how exactly does each block gets mined.
Are basically all blocks open until they are solved? In other words, if my miner finds a block and is working on that block to solve it, then can Joe Blow's miner finds that same block and solve it quicker and earn the coins? Or do i have a flawed understanding of a "block"?
What Im getting at, is it better (not taking electricity into consideration) to have a bunch of separate slower pps computers (or miner instances) or one beast computer (one mining instance) with the same combined pps as all of he smaller ones?
I would think, that if a little luck is involved in finding blocks, then the more instances, the higher your probability of "finding" a block right?
Thanks, I'm a little bit of a mining noob, just trying to learn the terminology and technology better.
Thanks,
Your question is a bit offtopic in this thread, but I'll try to answer to it. You can find a block at the same time, or slightly after someone else, but you won't get rewards, blocks are mined and the whole network knows it has been mined thanks to the proof of work algorithm which makes sure all the network is synced, since it takes certain amount of work to figure out the correct prime number chain for each block. Thus no miner can get ahead of the whole network unless it surpasses its power by 51%+. Sorry for the off-topic question, but thanks for your prompt answer. I get it now... So if everyone is working on the same block at any given time, would'nt it be better to have a more powerful pps machine than a bunch of smaller instances? Maybe, but it depends...also, it depends on how well the code works spread through different threads of the same cpu. Apparently it stops scaling at 10 cores per cpu, and a 32 core cpu is slower than a few 10 core ones.

I'm running 5x2 core instances, seemed more cost effective...if diff shoots up higher I may increase to 4 cores per instance. I think the service is still worth the cost.
Guys, I'm getting error -4 when importing privkey in the windows wallet. Any ideas why that is?
You get that error when privkey is already added. Might be that. Never added it before...it's the vps privkey I'm trying to add to my wallet. If I can't I'll just send the coins when they mature but don't wanna risk losing them. Correct syntax is: importprivkey privkey# right? (win qt) EDIT: Got it! Forgot to unlock the wallet temporarily lol

Zalfrin's builds are working fine for me, I install the regular client and replace program files content with his stuff...works like a charm.
