http://www.coindesk.com/safello-co-founder-moves-tokyo-start-new-bitcoin-security-firm/

what is going on with Tokyo? Are they going to clean MtGox mess?? is this is just my feeling??

I have no money at stake, but if I had I would be extremely wary of letting any bitcoiners or bitcoin companies play a key role in the investigation -- especially if they seem eager to help, like Sunlot, OKCoin, Kraken, and that new firm above.

We do not know what happened, except that the criminal was obviously familiar with bitcoin.  So, every bitcoiner should be considered a suspect, including all the significant ex-clients.  Everyone who was somehow close to MtGOX (like Roger Ver, who was a  neighbor and close friend of Mark) should be suspect also.

Perhaps the Judge and/or Kobayashi and/or his hired consutants are corrupt too, but at least they should be bound -- by the obligation of their offices, and for the sake of their reputations -- to be fair, to follow the law, and to be minimally transparent in their actions.  The former MtGOX management and staff, ex-clients, and other outsiders do not have any such obligations.

Jorge, it's not sane nor logical to judge every bitcoiner as a ''suspect'' and thus rule them all out from the process. It's the very same to rule every financial investigator out because they're involved with money and they're suspects!

The fact is that there's an ongoing investigation that will need every resource available to get the best results. If no bitcoin-related was ever involved, things would be in the dark for a much longer period. Take for instance someone who has no idea how bitcoin works, or how the infrastructure is implemented. How on earth could he be in the position to judge what (technically) happened?

I don't think that we must see ghosts wherever we look at. Time will eventually reveal what happened, plus, I expect it to happen earlier than April. Bitcoin is far to big to keep it steady for almost a year and up until now we've had a rather good excuse... but it slowly faints.

Thank me now, or cry later.

What's the price of the low point on that chart?
<250

When does the chart predict that will happen?

Never. TA is purely speculative; no chart can predict when the next whale will buy in or out within the next 2mins. Simple as that.
Goodnight people...

We all must listen to LambTroll.
We must sell all our coins and buy dollars.
We must entrust our hopes to the Banks.
Because it's SAFE!

To be fair macsga, Greece wasn't screwed over by the banks. You were screwed over by the lying politicians you kept electing. If the greeks would care a bit more about clean governance and fighting corruption then the euro wouldn't be pounding you from behind as much.
To be fair Fatman3001, I beg to differ. The debt was created BY THE BANKS, via derivatives and other banking ''products''. The golden boys got their share, and when they came to their margin call point, they reached for the weakest link of the chain. If you've ever been involved with politics you'd know by now that almost everybody has its price. Even congressmen in the US have their price and probably even you and me.

Politicians are corrupt; granted, but it's the whole system that supports the corruption. Let's see what happens next in Greece. Within 3 days we'll know. I hope for the best. Smiley

As a Greek myself allow me to add this to your analysis  macsga
Corrupted politicians are elected by corrupted voters, and in Greece ~90% of the population is corrupted in one way or another.

I'm a Greek too; living and working here. The main problem in Greece is the election system AND the ignorant voters. The percentage of the voters last time was 52%. From those 23% went to New Democracy. That means the 1st elected party rules the country with 12.5% of the general population. That's a distortion. Are those voters corrupt? Probably YES! They were bought by the 1st party! Where are the others? At the beach or drinking frappuchinos?

TBH, I'd prefer before going to elections the Constitution to change, but Samaras put it as prerequisite in order to get the 180 votes for the president. We will be having this chance again in 2021! Acting by himself? I don't think so mate. I don't think so. Undecided

1751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Kingdom - 1991 Retro Virtual World(City) on: December 27, 2014, 03:20:28 PM

Announcing Astronomy & Alchemy School.

Greetings fellow citizens. I am summoned as "Zenon" the Magus.
My exact age is unknown but I was born as a male about a thousand years
ago from this age. I can perpetuate things that your mind cannot perceive and
your eyes will not believe. I can provide medicines for the heavily indisposed, I
can contrapt various machines to master the land or defeat our enemies.
I master the Heavens and can calculate the orbit of the stars.

I also possess the Medicine of Life. It won't work for everybody, for being very
experimental and it has its price. The recipe is secretly held from the Angels of
Darkness and it was stolen from me and my beloved wife when we were mortals.
We both tasted the bitter taste of immortality but fate paid us back with the worst
coin for our arrogance…

Please keep in mind that I won't be around for long during my presence here, but
only if I am summoned by HM the noble King. You see part of my curse is that I can
not be among humans during the daylight for long time periods, for this may be fatal
to them. This is not applied to small children up to the age of 100 years (100 real days)
and HM the King for they are protected by a secret spell...

You must also be aware of the following:

I'm not interested into possessing large amounts of gold, for I keep all my riches into my
head. I'm not interested into power, for I have powers that overcome the strongest men on
Earth. I am interested though in one thing alone... I'm very fond of teaching young sorcerers
and share my knowledge. If you have children of your own I will be more than happy to enchant
them with the secret knowledge of Sorcery!

So hereby I announce the Astronomy & Alchemy School at the Zenon Castle that HM the King
has graciously offered. As I don’t have any wish to gather gold or goods, only donations are accepted
which they will be used to pay for the school’s needs and teachers payments. If any of the noble
gentlemen or ladies want to help with their expertise I’d like to give them the chance to be teachers
in the School.

Hail to HM the King!

Thanks for the update. Just one question, do you value the ETF news for early next year? I know you can always buy in on the way up, but what about getting on board right now? I think BTC is extremely low priced at this moment. Thanks.
1753  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 27, 2014, 01:20:12 PM
Coming from Russia I won't believe it until they have some real laws about that, not just words.
Personally I don't buy it, but here you have the news.

"Yes to bitcoin! Russian ministry says quasi-money ban may endanger banks, retailers"
http://rt.com/news/218019-bill-ban-bitcoin-russia/

I did not see any "Yes to bitcoin" in the Minister's objections.  He complains that "the proposed definition lacks precision", namely it would apply also to merchant points and the like, besides its intended targets. He did not call for the bill to be rejected, but wants the ban to be limited to other things. Guess whether bitcoin would be one of those other things.

Besides, the bill was requested by Putin Almighty, so it probably was motivated by security issues, not economic ones.  In that case, bitcoin would surely be a target.

It seems hard to me to ignore that the Russian Bitcoin ban coincides with Russia's Ukraine intervention. Seeing as they were apparently analyzing the economic ramifications of military intervention, closing off venues for cashflow out of the country seems logical. Russia hasn't put capital controls in place yet, but I'd be surprised if they didn't have plans for such, if things deteriorate beyond their ability to reasonably prop the rouble up.

While keeping my tinfoil hat on, I'd say the next rally will be triggered by some big (bigger than Cyprus) country in desperation. Maybe it's close, maybe it's far far away; but believe me the next bank run won't be easy to handle.

/tinfoil hat off.

Clearly LambTroll has ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what a damped oscillation is or how it may be implemented into a chaotic system. Also, he's using straw man paradigms -all the time- presenting false evidence, that conform his straw man theories, according to his will with only one goal: To occupy space in this thread and to add noise. Please don't fall into his trap. Just press ignore and let him live in oblivion.

AND PLEASE DON'T QUOTE THE TROLLZ!

Then perhaps you should stop quoting him.

No, it's called a negative feedback loop and should probably respond like any other damped oscillation.

I was thinking that the Game of thrones finale would trigger a massive buying spree.

Hello everyone! Explain to someone what was going on with my purse, he constantly refers coins somewhere.
https://dogechain.info/address/DDXcfNrECSSuFwcz9HQoNYzyTD4meLcHyV   Huh Huh Huh

Do you mean you're not doing this? Hmm.. That's weird. Looks like someone is using this address to sign something?

Plus, on the wallet password is set, and the computer 20 times checked for viruses. Paradox.
Sign - maybe, but to send the coins need a password!

I'd change my wallet immediately if I were you. I've done it for so many different reasons that would look ridiculous to what you're facing here. Just my 20c... Undecided
